In fact, as we walked inside towards the back, my son got upset because he saw that the line was super long. After a verbal battle and 30 minutes of searching we took our shoes upfront to purchase and the line went down considerably. The young man at the counter was super helpful trying to get me signed up for rewards to save myself 15% but it didn't work. No worries. Their prices were very reasonable.

The spacious counter is conveniently located in the center of the store. It's staffed with a plentiful number of knowledgeable employees who are both friendly & helpful. Our quest for the day was for a Norfolk City Permit for my sister's new kayak. Although the Lake Smith/Lake Lawson Natural Area is in & maintained by Virginia Beach, the waterway winding through it is owned by Norfolk & requires a permit. It's far more convenient than applying for one on line & having to wait for the stickers to come. The second purchase was to buy a new CG approved life jacket since my friend in CG reserves told me they were monitoring kayakers after recent accidents. Her previous use of my life jackets from the boat I sold was to use them as back rests. No can do anymore!! They had a supply but none that fit my sister. So we left with only the City of Norfolk boat (kayak) license & sticker. It's a convenient & a valuable resource for us to be able to obtain the permit quickly and close. The same can also be said for fishermen & those who frequent the nearby waterways, inlets & the Chesapeake Bay.

She was wonderful and I'm kicking myself for not getting her name. When I got home the shoes ended up not fitting. My daughter LOVED them as they were such a perfectly bright color for her. I called and they were able to put the next size up on hold for us. We showed up the next day and we ended up working with Hannah. I have to say, I showed up with my 3 kids hoping it'd be a quick in and out. Unfortunately the next size up was still too small. My daughter also has one foot larger than the other and we're trying to figure out big kid sizing or women's sizing... shoe fit, etc. Hannah spent about an HOUR with us trying to figure out the best shoe in style and fit for my daughter. My daughter also talks incessantly and I have 2 young boys. It was not an easy task but she helped us so cheerfully the entire time. I learned so much from talking with her about shoes and sizing. They also called the Williamsburg store for us to see if they had her size since my daughter was SO IN LOVE with these shoes. I was willing to drive since finding a good shoe in her size and preferences has been complicated. If it wasn't for her, I would not have been able to make it out of the store with shoes AND my sanity intact. I am so very grateful! Another gentleman processed our return/exchange and he was also wonderful! I missed his name but it's clear that this store hires well. I can only hope that their staff are so wonderful because they're also well cared for.

My husband's friend had been to a Going, Going, Gone store before and was telling him about the great products and deals they tend to have there. My husband and I checked the VB Blvd location out and were very surprised and impressed with their excellent selection of clothes and the affordable prices. The store was very clean and the clothes were sorted by size and color. The staff were kind and professional. When we went, they were working on finishing construction for their dressing rooms, so that will be a great and needed addition once finished. 95% of the clothes sold there are workout gear, which often has a lot of stretch, so it wasn't an inconvenience not having a dressing room for me when I went there. I had picked up about 12 garments and narrowed my final selections down to 6 items. I'm looking forward to coming back again!
