Whether it's stocking my own tank with fish or looking for fish for customers this place will have what you're looking for and if they don't they'll be sure to find them for you. Mr. Jubie has such a vast well of knowledge and will help you with any questions you have, but if he isn't around at the time anyone in the store can give you the information you're looking for. They have a wonderful selection, but I wasn't impressed with the setups some of the fish were in. Saw quite a few 5-6 inch fish in tiny tanks they couldn't even fit sideways in, they were forced to rest at an angle and face up towards the ceiling. They also kept smaller fish in with their cichlids, which I get when you have so many fish, but it's just irresponsible and something I'd expect to see at a big box store. The tanks weren't always well-kept either, quite a few were gross and falling apart on the inside. Separators falling to one side and making it an even more cramped place than it was before. It's cramped for the people as well, with the aisles so close together you really can't pass anyone. Overall I was really disappointed. I'm going to different aquarium shops to see where I'd like to get my fish besides the big corporate pet stores, and this definitely won't be it. read more

Such a cool atmosphere, we come here a lot for our fish needs and sometimes even when we just want to browse. Always the same staff, I appreciate that they give their personal opinions on certain fish paired with others and etc. They have great answers for all of our questions. We've never had trouble with a sick fish or anything I've stopped even worrying about it with these guys. Tanks are always cleaned throughout the day. I'm so happy I found this place!!! I live in Fort Worth but have been driving to Dallas north for livestock and plants. Fish paradise has everything you need without having to drive very far. They have a great selection of dwarf shrimp (way better variety than Dallas north), lots of cichlids, discus, more. I LOVE this store! Not only is there an amazing variety of fish, but an amazing wealth of knowledge in the employees. They are always ready to help and give advice. When we first started this saltwater hobby, I found Fish Paradise and started buying whatever was "pretty". Well, I picked out a fish that caught my eye and told the owner that THAT is the one I wanted. Instead of just selling him to me, Jubei told me.."Gina, he will not do well with the other fish you bought from me." He not only remember my name, he also remembered what I purchased months ago. And instead of making that money by selling me a fish that he knew would kill the other fish in the tank, and making even more money when I came back to buy replacements, he stopped me and asked me to find a new one. Love this store! The selection is great! The fish are healthy. Prices are ok. You can get cheaper somewhere else, but you won't get the same fish. They care about the animals in their shop. My favorite fish store in the DFW area. The drive to this LFS is about 40 to 45 minutes from my place but it's so worth it. Every fish I have bought from this store has been healthy. They have a ton of selections and a ton of tanks in the store. The fish food the owner makes is REALLY awesome. My fish go crazy for it and I stock up on it every time I visit. The tanks are clean and well taken care of. The fish are very well taken care of. The staff is friendly and so is the owner. They also have a ton of healthy coral to pick from. There are only two stores I visit often and this is one of them. I highly recommend this store. read more

Good selection of corals and saltwater fish. Corals had pretty good pricing. Staff seems to be knowledgeable and not just Trying to sell you stuff that won't work with your system. They will order anything for you if they dont have it already. Not many sps. Freshwater was lacking in selection though they did have ok priced discus and stuff you can't buy at petsmart. Without a doubt my go-to LFS. I'd say the livestock selection is pretty good, but the real reason I go here is the knowledge and service. Everyone either knows what they're talking about, or will not hesitate to go and find another employee who does. The prices are a bit high, but I've not lost a single fish I've gotten from them, and all the aquatic plants have adjusted and grown well after the initial melting and die-back. This is by far the best store at which to buy saltwater fish in the DFW metroplex. I have bought all of my saltwater fish here for the past five years or so and not had a single bad experience. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and will tell you if the fish you are considering purchasing will or will not likely get along with your existing livestock, what they eat, how they eat, if they need to be paired, etc. There is nothing inexpensive about starting and maintaining a saltwater system, but the prices here are very reasonable. read more

By far the best store in the entire Fort Worth metroplex. the more I build a relationship with these guys the more I'm happy that some one told me about them.
