Tyrone greeted me and Hugo, my Pembroke Corgi when we came in for my appointment. Hugo was long overdue for getting groomed, but Tyrone explained what was included and answered my questions. I've been to several Petsmart locations in Fort Worth, but this was THE best job that any groomer has ever done. His paw pads, coat, everything was trimmed perfectly, his coat was shiny and soft with no lingering shampoo or flakes. He was friendly and personable and professional. I purchased 12 neon tetras to split between my 2 betta tanks. Both tanks ended up being infected with ich AND columnaris. One of my bettas died and the other one is still in a hospital tank being treated. Still unsure if he's going to make it. I took all of the tetras back to the store and told them they were sick, and the girl at the counter goes "oh are these the tetras? Yeah we have them under observation now because we believe they have ich." And I was like .... Are you kidding me? I told her they killed my betta and infected the other one and she goes "oh I'm really sorry about that". I mean, to some they might just be "a fish" but these are my pets and it really hurt me to lose my girl the way that I did. She suffered having her face basically rotting off from columnaris and there was nothing I could do to help her. It killed her so fast. And I just got a "sorry". Does PetSmart not quarantine new fish to make sure they aren't sick before selling them to the public? THEY KILLED MY BETTA WHO WAS THRIVING before I put those tetras in there. Grooming Review I took my dog to get groomed. I had a 8:15am appointment, they said he would be done in 2 hours and I understand that sometimes they take more time so after 4 hours I came in to ask how my dog was doing and the groomer was rude and told me he's going to be ready in 1 more hour so 5 hours later to make things worst I received my dog and it's NOTHING like I wanted I even showed them a reference photo from a haircut he received in another PetSmart last time. I normally go to the Bryant Irvin PetSmart location because the customer service there is always great, but today I decided to try the Hulen location for their Trick or Treat event. From the moment I walked in, the staff didn't make me or my pup feel welcomed. Things got worse at checkout. I was waiting for the cashier, Breana, who was supposed to be helping me, but she was busy on her phone. During checkout I realized that my dog's bone didn't have a barcode, I told her I'd grab another one with a tag -- but when I came back, she had skipped me and started helping other customers. Which I didn't say anything and waited in the long line again, When another cashier, Tyler, opened a register, I asked if he could transfer my items from Breanas register so I didn't have to wait in line again. He refused, said he couldn't help me I would have to wait in line again, spoke to me very rudely. I had explained the situation calmly, that's when he helped but even at that the whole exchange was still very much uncomfortable and unprofessional -- Terrible customer service overall -- I'll be sticking to the Bryant Irvin location from now on. read more

Pretty disappointed. I had used PetSmart grooming in Missouri prior to Covid and they did a wonderful job. Then I started grooming my pup myself during Covid and have done ever since. I decided this time to get ahead and get her groomed at Petsmart again. Sofia was a very nice person but did a very poor job. There were several mats left remaining in her ears and tail (and she didn't have many mats to start with...), and her ear lengths were uneven and very poorly done. Also, there was a very distinct straight line on the back of her head that looks ridiculous, no blending at all. And all throughout her body there are random tufts that aren't the same length as everything else. Finally, she had a spot of blood on her chest. I understand if MAYBE accidents happen, but my pups literally sits so still for grooming. And an owner should always be notified if their dog was injured during a groom. For more than 60$ I expected a much better experience. I will definitely be going back to grooming her myself. I have no experience or training whatsoever and still manage to do a better job than what my pup got at petsmart. Truly I'd recommend staying clear of the grooming here. read more

Sofia is the best! I have two yorkies and travel full time in my camper. As you can imagine, they love the camping lifestyle but get appropriately dirty! Sofia really listened to my grooming request and their cuts were exactly what I asked for. My 11 year old girl loves her pony tail and her more traditional Yorky cut. My 13 year old little guy was looking handsome with a much shorter cut (as requested) so he can be more easily cleaned up after a messy walk in the woods, fields, creeks, mud ... I highly recommend Sofia if you want a professional groomer who listens to her clients, is kind and caring with your dog and delivers exactly the cut you want. Thank you Sofia! read more

On the way home from Wedgewood this afternoon, we found two German Shepherd mix dogs running around Trail Lake drive near the freeway. We drove around the neighborhood looking for the owners and posted their pics on Nextdoor and Pawboost. Decided to go to Petsmart on Hulen and they were able to scan their chips and call the owners! We came in the store within 15 minutes before they closed, we got what we need and we're in line by 8:52 PM. Patty was talking to another customer so politely and even laughing with the customer she took 5-7 minutes talking to her. When it was time for us to pay, Patty caught a little attitude talking about how they close at 9 (it was 8:57) when I asked where the cat clippers were and she reminded us that they open at 10:00 AM. So how you gonna get mad when I'm in line for 5 minutes and you still going to complain about you closing late because we left late, like Mrs patty maybe don't talk to customers for 5 minutes we would've been gone by 8:58 at most. So I live in NY and Eric lives here and I come down every few months to take care of the dogs. We needed to take in Leon and Cindy to get bathed and groom and nails trimmed etc. I made the appt. On line and Ellyn was our tech. She did an AMAZING job considering these two dogs were in bad need of bath and groom. Leon is a very nervous dog and she did a great job and same with Cindy. I cried when I picked them up im so happy. Thank you again. When we got there she was gone so I went back on Monday to tip her. Thank You so much Ellyn for doing a great job. I like this Petsmart. Their grooming service is excellent with friendly, personable staff. Just make an appointment first; they don't take walk-ins unless you're lucky enough for a cancellation. We adopted our puppy here. The dogs were from Fort Worth Animal Control, and they had maybe a dozen to choose from. They had a 'special' that weekend and we got him for $24. That included microchipping, his first vet visit, a bag of dog food, and a bunch of Petsmart coupons. The coupons were for crates, collars, leashes, and their services ( like a free day at doggy day camp). They had already neutered him. The whole process was really easy, too. read more

Very upset dropped off our golden doodle to be groomed by Tania and get the teddy bear look instead was shaved of all his hair by someone who apparently don't know how to groom a golden doodle the girl who was standing at the register mentioned he was naked when they brought him out he looked horrible and unfinished due an issue on his chest the guy told us there was no charge Until It gets seen then bring him back well he'll no he will not be returning to you guys there a difference between a cut and shave!!! The first time I got my pup groomed here I was so impressed. She looked and smelled great. Yay! Brought Zara in this morning after they squeezed me in which I really appreciated. Did the basic $30 package on my German Shepherd which includes a bath, ear clean, 15 min brush, etc. I pick her up and don't really notice much except she looks nice and definitely smells better. A Get home and realize she's shedding reallllly bad which isn't usually a problem because we have a furminator. So, I start brushing her and realize there is absolutely no way anyone spent much time brushing this dog let alone 15 min. In a matter of 5 min I had collected enough hair to cover a medium sized pup! I call PetSmart because I like these people and want to give them an opportunity to make it right. She offers that I bring her BACK in and they can brush her for 15 min. Well, I just did that so that's not a very helpful solution. She's now brushed. She then offers next time I come back they will brush her for longer. Still not a huge incentive for me to want to risk it again... Manager tells me a new girl in training worked on her and that she was being supervised by Diana/Dana? who did the dog last time. Whatever Diana/Dana did... Worked awesome. Whatever new girl did... Did not. Not very happy. Overall I spent $30 on a below average groom which I am not pleased about. I really love this location and everyone is so kind, helpful, and lovely. But, I am disappointed with the grooming and that's what this review is for. I will attach a photo of the hair I collected approx. 20 min after I picked Zara up. read more

I was told it would take over two hours to have the bath, brush and FURminator treatment. We dropped off our dog at 5:30. They called me at 6:09 and said he was ready. I was shocked. The treatment I paid for was suppose to include a bath, brushing for 15 minutes, ear cleaning, nail trim and ear cleaning, etc. This morning, I checked his ears and they were dirty and looked like they still had soap in them. I cleaned them as much as I could and put drops in his ears. I was very disappointed that we paid for a treatment that we obviously did not receive. read more

Both times I tried this store out, the customer service was awful and management was nowhere to be found. When's the last time you waited in line for over ten minutes to buy cat food, only to give up and leave? This review is for the grooming salon. The store itself is amazing and I've only ever had good interactions with the associates. The salon is a whole other story... my pup desperately needed a trim. I took my puppy (who has never been professionally groomed before) to this location. I wanted to have a decent groom so I purchased the $83 furminator package. Upon dropping my pup off, I was greeted by an associate who was very helpful and knowledgeable. She walked me through the process and helped me pick which length I wanted. I explained that my pup had never been groomed before. Upon picking my pup up, the groomer (I wish I remembered her name) explained that my pup snapped. I explained again that shes never been groomed before.. she replied with "yes I'm aware she hasn't been groomed before but I wasnt aware of the snapping" and neither was I since this is a new experience for her. she was blunt and rude with her answers. Having not been through this process before, it definitely doesn't make me comfortable enough to go back. My dog is left with choppy legs, an uneven cut on her head, and I don't even think they bathed her... I paid $83 for a choppy cut and no bath. definitely not worth the money. go somewhere else read more

Okay, this is a particularly we'll run petsmart. I come here for my pet food (dogs and cats). It's hard to quantify what makes this pet store better than others like it but I'll give it a shot. 1. Size This petsmart is larger than others I have visited. They have a large selection of fish, aquariums, lizards and birds. 2. Cleanliness I have never smelled anything other than a clean fresh scent in this store. Not too shabby for a store that has a hell of a lot of dogs visiting and presumably lifting the proverbial leg. 3. Selection Yep, this place has it all. From the bargain basement food all the way up to the high dollar raw meat diets, you can find it here. All in all, if you have a need for a specific type of pet supplies chances are this place will have it. Go check out this petsmart and buy your dog something pretty. read more

Took in a rescue dog in October. Took him here for his initial supplies. Emily and her staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Returned my dog for obedience training and began training with Alicia. Wow! What an improvement for my rescue dog. Alicia is amazing to work with and she has a genuine interest in seeing your dog succeed. Took my pup in today to get groomed and the groomer was a sweet girl and I'm sure her intentions were good she's just not good at her job, face and ears chopped down to the shortest it's ever been even though I told her just a little around the ears and face and after I brought my pup home there was fur everywhere so I called petsmart and the girl forgot to blow her off after getting cut, just a bad experience and I know this is insignificant with all things considered but I highly recommend taking your pups elsewhere to get groomed read more

Either they don't bathe my dog well, or they simply skipped the bathing that I pay for every time. Only to be called and told that they overbooked and I would get a 20% discount if I came the following morning instead. When I get there grooming is open but the rest of the store is not. Whom ever came to the door acted as if I was a bother and would only speak after I spoke a second time. Then the groomer did not give the cut I requested because she says my dog was throwing up. (he was fine when i got him) So she did a cheaper cut with a poor attitude and acted as if she was doing me a favor. You picked your profession not me, and you adjusted my arrival time and still had poor customer service. NEVER COMING TO THIS STORE AGAIN!!! Store is dirty, staff is nonexistent, and help is impossible to find. Checked on their website for grooming hours and said open till 9 most nights except sundays they closed early. Walk into the store head to the groomers sign on the front of the door says open till 9. Walk in to get nails trimmed on two dogs (in and out at Bryant Irvin location in 10 minutes) told they close at 7 so they can't do it because they close early Wednesday and Sunday. Call two other petsmarts and they say they are open till 9 take walk ins till 830. Try to find a manager to ask why their website, doors, and automated system say the grooming department is are open till 9 if they close early finally find one after wandering around the store for 10 minutes without an employee in site. Find the manager FINALLY and explain the issue just looking for explanation. Her explanation "I don't know what to tell you they close early on Wednesdays" so out of all the petsmarts y'all are the only one that closes early on Wednesday but your website, automated system, and grooming department door says 9?!?! So we left went to the Bryant Irvin store where the stay was friendly, attentive, and amazing had us in and out in 15 minutes! I will never be going back to this store again and I would advise others to do the same if you actually want friendly service or just service at all! read more

I am extremely irate!! I used the Grooming facility at the Hulen location and have MULTIPLE infuriating problems. My double coated Pyrenese Husky mix went in for an appointment to help get out the matting on his hind legs and his neck. I was told by the 2 groomers in the morning that they "may have to do some shaving" I had understood they meant possibly on the neck and hind legs where the matting was. SINCE he is a double coated breed there is a massive chance it would not grow back if shaved AND also I had told the groomers we would be moving to Northern California to the mountains in 2 weeks. When I picked him up over 5 hours later HE WAS TOTALLY SHAVED except for his tail and head!!! I was in total shock and literally speechless. I STILL had to pay $70+ dollars for a "premium groom" HOW ON EARTH is a full shave a premium groom??!!! THEY SHOULD HAVE CALLED ME before taking such incompetent and drastic measures that WERE NOT necessary on his back/legs and stomach!!! Also- AND THIS MAKES ME ANGRY- when I got him home he drank 2 entire bowls of water which tells me that he had no access to drinkable water for over 5 hours. I CANNOT BELIEVE that anybody that is properly trained would SHORT SHAVE an entire dog of this breed!!! If I would have known this was the case at PetSmart I would have taken him elsewhere!!! I am beyond angry out the level of idiocy and horrible service I have received!!! I need to be able to contact the manager direct- does anybody have an idea how I can do this??? read more

She has been taking care of Max since he was a puppy and she was AMAZING!!! I called today and found out she is no longer with the company. Grooming. I have used their services for 14 years with no real issues. However, today when I went to pick up my dogs they attempted to charge me an extra $7 per dog for flea shampoo. Both of my dogs are on flea medication and were seen at the vets last week so I was fairly confident that they were flea free. They also tried to charge me another $7 per dog on top f that because they were "excited." Apparently any dog that is not completely docile is now charged this extra fee. One of my dogs is 14 with cataracts and arthritis. I doubt she was too difficult to handle. Through the process of discussing this with a manager I learned the groomers are paid a commission and therefore benefit from all these added charges. We will be searching for a new groomer and I encourage you to think twice before using PetSmart services. read more
