And they're super friendly too, it doesn't feel at all like you're being served at a fast food restaurant. These people care, it notes in their customer service but most importantly, in their fish. My only complaint is that there isn't a location near my house in Orange County, or that they aren't open later because I can only eat this for lunch and wish I could eat it fresh for dinner! read more

Been enjoying the great seafood at various Fish-O-Licious locations for many years. Unfortunately the Covid curse has reduced this seafood treasure down to a single location in the Commerce Commons Food Court. The venue is one of several in the indoor food court and offers a walk-up counter displaying some of the fresh seafood available and where your order is taken. Once you finish at the counter, you are given a buzzer to alert you when your order is ready. If eating on-site, there is ample indoor as well as patio seating available to enjoy your food. Your food is freshly prepared to order, and the wait time is certainly reasonable considering the fine quality seafood that you will shortly receive. I ordered the Fish Combo meal which came with 2 pieces of perfectly flaky breaded fish, 3 breaded medium shrimp, a handful of breaded calamari rings, shoestring fries, coleslaw and sourdough bread. The seafood was perfectly prepared, not overly breaded and cooked just right. The house coleslaw was very good and included raisins and pineapple chunks to complement the shredded cabbage. I would have liked to see a bit more sauce added into the mix, but still quite tasty. My dining companion's Grilled Salmon plate was ordered with the addition of the delicious honey curry sauce which made a delightful pairing. She opted for a double portion of the aforementioned house coleslaw in lieu of the shoestring fries. The farm-raised salmon was as flavourful as one could expect and soaked up all the great honey curry sauce with each bite. We visited the nearby food court restrooms and found them to be clean and properly stocked. Be sure to get the entry code from the counter as it is required to use the restrooms. Overall, five brightly shining stars for Fish-O-Licious which will see us back regularly. read more

so i ordered via grubhub at 10:30 am to be delivered at 12:45 pm...that was fine except my food arrived ice cold (fish and shrimp combo and clam chowder)...it's like they made it at 10:30 and it sat and sat and sat...sooo i had to heat it up in the microwave...fries had to be tossed, just nasty...the fish and shrimp were good...clam chowder a bit too thick for my liking...coleslaw was decent but fyi coleslaw does not have raisins or pineapple...this ain't ambrosia! based on price i probably will not order for delivery again. i will say i appreciate the care they take in placing food in decent to go containers and using decent to go utensils. read more

Fish taco Tuesday!!! Fish-o-licious is right by my unit and I recently got to try their Tuesday $1 fish taco special. I was throughly impressed with the quality and quantity considering they're only $1 each. I'm a sucker for battered fish tacos but the grilled tacos were by far the best of the two. So much flavor and the texture was on point. Don't get me wrong, the battered fish taco was decent but you can taste more flavor in the grilled. I must say, these tacos were huge too! I was full by the third one (I had gotten two battered and two grilled). They were good with the hot sauce provided and lemon as is (I usually add a buttload of hot sauce). Super happy I was working in Commerce and discovered this place!! Fish-O-Licious is exactly that--delicious!! I love fish and this place definitely satisfied my lunch craving. I was surprised at how good the quality of the food was and the good prices. I ordered a grilled salmon plate and because it was Tuesday I ordered an additional two $1 fish tacos. I left with huge portions and was able to save about half of my lunch plate for dinner. I love the fact that they have a fish market vibe going on at this quick eatery. You can see the fish displayed over ice then when you order they will grill or fry it for you. I was impressed to find this at a dining hall that seemed to have almost all fast food. I chose to have my salmon grilled because I didn't want to deal with eating all of that oil...and I was super excited to find out that I could have grilled fish tacos here as well. The fish tacos are a blend of three types of fish and they are made so well. I've been to other places where they taste overly fried or the ratio of ingredients is way off, but here you get a good portion of fish, then cabbage and lime/ salsa. The spicey salsa is my favorite and very good. The sourdough bread that they serve with their plates is also worth talking about...they made it fresh in-house and it is very tasty. I would order more if you love bread. I'm looking forward to working in Commerce again just so that I can come back to this restaurant! I always was under the impression that you shouldn't get fish in strip malls but I am man enough to admit that I was wrong and that you should at least give it a shot. Walked by a couple of times but finally had the courage to give them a shot as I had a deep craving for a solid fish burrito and man did they deliver. I was really impressed with the size of the burrito as it was a nice healthy size. I choose to get the fish grilled instead of battered and it was pretty good. Fish had a little too much rice but with the cabbage, pico, mexican cream, the burrito came together quite nicely. Also decided to get the clam chowder as well and was impressed. Not an overdose of bacon and it didn't taste like it was heated from a can. Again, my standards were low coming into a fish place in a strip mall food court and so I was pretty impressed with the quality of everything I had. I think the thing that stood out the most to me was that they gave me three hot sauces with my burrito without me even asking for more. I am a sauce fiend and I appreciate a sauce that even has a slight kick. I am used to places just giving one sauce or even charging for it but for some odd reason, they gave me more and so I was shocked. It is something little like giving me extra hot sauce for some reason made me feel like I was being taken care of or that someone was looking out for me. Maybe I was supposed to share the salsa with my coworkers as well but they had a salsa in their own boxes but who can really know right? Never realized Commerce had a food court! I've visited the sister location in Chino Hills but this was my first visit to this location. Arrived before the noon hour so parking was no issue. When I approached the counter to place my order there was sample plates of their daily specials which included a beverage. I ended up selecting the basa filet with coconut pineapple curry sauce, rice pilaf, roll and slaw. The fish was tender and the curry on the sweeter side but was solid tasting. The slaw, pilaf were yummy and the entrée was generous in portion. Overall a good filling lunch and nearby my corporate office which was convenient. Went in for the advertised daily special on Friday. The clam chowder is NOT in a bread bowl and no fried fish plate. The man at the counter offered what seems to be a lunch time special. The dishes are all displayed on the counter. One of the plates is what looks like a fried fish with a yellow curry sauce over it. There are no prices on the plates. So you don't know how much it is till they ring you up. Ordered the fried fish with curry sauce, only to find out they charged me an extra $2 dollars for the sauce. If the plate is displayed as having a sauce why the extra $2 ?? If you order a cheeseburger any where it's part of the price displayed. You don't get charged extra for the cheese on a cheeseburger. And did I mention no bread bowl for the chowder. The chowder was good absent the bread bowl. The fish was so so. But what blew it for me was the extra $2 for sauce. Salim is about the best you can get in supporting his restaurant and customers. Came right back around with the bread bowls that he has come in fresh for the soup and bowl combo. Again, not to pushy but you can really tell he is excited about the food he is serving. This is the kind of excitement I think is really great in an owner. I normally get the cajun fillet of soul lunch special with rice. Costs about $7 AND you get a refillable drink to go with it. I have had the lemon butter and the curry versions and they are all very good, I just happen to like the cajun a bit more. Fish is cooked up right in front of you and all of the fresh selections are presented right there as you order. It is an impressive setup and always makes me feel as if I am getting my fish as fresh as possible. After you order you get a remote buzzer pager so you can go find your seat rather than standing around and waiting for you food.
