When we arrived, First Watch looked pretty busy, but we were pleasantly surprised that we were seated right away. The hostess was very kind and welcoming, and our waiter was just as nice... cordial, helpful, and attentive throughout our visit. The service was definitely one of the highlights. For food, we both ordered the Trifecta. I chose the waffle with potatoes instead of eggs, along with their chicken sausage patty, and I added a side salad with mixed greens and a lemon herb dressing. I also added a side of chicken. Initially, I thought the chicken breast would be about $2.50, but before placing the order our waiter came back and clarified that it would be about $5 and would come as strips instead of a full chicken breast. I appreciated him coming back to correct that. When the chicken came out, it was sliced into very thin pieces and was a little lukewarm. I mentioned it to the waiter, and he apologized and handled it professionally by removing it from the bill, which I appreciated. Overall, the food was okay, about a 3.5 out of 5 for me. The waffle was tasty, just as I remembered, and the potatoes were good as well. However, the chicken sausage patty wasn't very good. I personally didn't enjoy it and ended up leaving it on the plate. My husband ordered the pancake with pecans, scrambled eggs, and a side of grits with butter, and he enjoyed his meal. One thing I did like was that you can now pay your bill directly from your phone, which makes it really convenient when you're ready to go without waiting. Overall, the big win here was the service and hospitality. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and we appreciated being seated quickly even when it seemed busy. The food was decent, though I've had better, but the service made the experience pleasant.

I had the salmon eggs benedict, as I always do... It did not taste good at all. The Salmon didn't taste like real fish. Tags were bland and the only thing I really liked were the fresh red onions. Bummer. Now, I always like to wash it down with a purple haze... Thankfully it was still really tasty. Maybe the cooks were tired. *Shrugs* Lol. They close at 2:30 and I came in at 2:00 The inside was pretty empty with only maybe four tables in use. It was relaxing atmosphere... so maybe if I go another day during peak hours, it will taste better. We shall see. I haven't given up on you yet!

I really want to love this Salata location because the food is consistently fresh and delicious,…read morebut there are two major things holding it back from being a regular go-to for me. First, for a modern dining space, it's disappointing that there is no Wi-Fi available for customers. In a world where many of us are looking for healthy alternatives to coffee shops to get some work or school tasks done while we eat, not having connectivity is a huge letdown. This environment has so much potential to be a great "dine and work" spot, but until they prioritize staying connected, it's just a quick "in and out" place. Second, the service flow could use some serious improvement. If you happen to get stuck behind someone placing a large family order, the line ends up going out the door. It seems like they need a better system or more staff during peak hours to handle those bigger orders without bottlenecking the entire experience for everyone else. I'll keep coming back for the salads, but I'd love to see this location evolve into a more business- and student-friendly environment!

No lines and everything was fresh and fully stocked. I ordered a wrap with pesto chicken and shrimp, a bowl of chicken tortilla soup and a chocolate chip cookie. I always forget but they have the best teas. I didn't get any today. Lucky me, I had reward points that I happily used. The wrap was delicious, full and I don't know why I thought I would eat it all. I finished half the wrap and saved the other half, pita chips and soup for tomorrow.

She did understand enough to cook my tuna because they serve it uncooked. Also consuming uncooked tuna or salmon may increase your risk of food borne illnesses. Surprisingly they had a lot of stuff on their menu so I ordered some veggie eggrolls and cheese rangoons. Everything was ok but nothing to call home about. As I was leaving, I noticed that the nice lady was using her hands and fingers without gloves to refill the orange sauce that she offers for the eggrolls. I felt like that was cross contamination at its best and she should use gloves and a spoon to refill that sauce. That alone will prevent me from going back. I will just go to chipotle if I want a bowl or burrito next time. They do get a lot of business though, Mostly to go orders and I hope they are careful with preparing their food when noone is looking next time.

After arriving in Houston, the plan to eat at a nearby Nigerian restaurant fell through, so my brother and I adjusted and came here for poke after reading the very positive reviews on-line. It's build your own, and the list of proteins is the typical with ahi tuna and salmon being the two main choices. A 3 scoop bowl is $15, and their variety of toppings was as big as any I've been to before. Everything was fresh, and unlike other places where they give you a little less of each as you order more, here they piled in on. A metal mixing bowl is used, and I was sure that there was no way the ingredients that I chose would all fit into the finishing bowl...but the attendant knew better: it all did. We brought it home, and it tasted really good, though I wish I had gotten less ingredients. Next time, I'll ask for the preparer's advice and follow it...knowing that the fresh, good ingredients would make it delicious.

TLDR: Worth a visit if you're in the area?…read more Wow! Hidden gem? Forgotten favorite? I don't know, but after tasting the food, we have to get the word out about this spot. Arriving around lunchtime on a weekday, I had the place to myself which allowed me a unique opportunity to take the place in. That being said, this spot is not overly French cafe themed, but instead a classic suburban strip mall spot with nods to the French peppered throughout the menu and decor. The booth area is well-designed, the spot was clean and the table touched by light so after a great experience chatting with the cashier I was crossing my fingers, hoping the food matched the vibe. I had a crepe Mexicana (because who has ever heard of that?!), a croque monsieur with tomato soup, and a dessert crepe because y'all know I always save room for dessert. It took a minute to be prepared, but I'm willing to wait for a fresh made meal. Everything, was delicious. Crepe texture was on point, and each crepe was stuffed to the Gods. Positive experience all around. My tip: Order the tomato soup and finish your meal with the following combo- a dessert Crepe Almonds with strawberries. Trust me on that one!
