The food was superb, and the owners were courteous and polite. And the lemonade was off the chain.

My favorite place for Peking duck around the Houston area. It's a little farther out, but I usually…read morestop by whenever I'm driving to or from AIH. The duck is roasted for hours, so the skin comes out nice and crispy without being too greasy. I also like that the remaining duck is made into a soup afterward. It's simple, hearty, and especially good on a colder day. I've tried several other dishes here, and they've all been solid and remind me of the Chinese food I grew up eating. The servers have always been attentive and friendly, and the restaurant is spacious, so it's a good spot for family dinners or larger groups.

When we finally got seated we weren't asked What would you like to drink or this is our drink menu. It was-Water,right?right?Ok brb. So we had water just like the rest of the people in there. Also weird how they don't have any drinks on the menu or let you know about options. Could I have asked for something else? Sure but again waitresses were just all over the place it was crazy. When we ordered and others food was coming out we realized what big portions they give you. BTW just 'cus it's big portions doesn't mean This food is about to be the best Ive ever had. The food- We got some shrimp plate and we were told it was spicy because it has peppers and peppercorns which would numb your tongue. It was just basic shrimp dish. Only good or cool part of it was eating lotus root which Ive never had before. We also ordered the "special" house beef noodles and I don't see the hype or why they're so special. The only crazy part was the noodles length. Which honestly made it hard to eat. We ordered the duck which came with the soup. The soup was made from scraps. I think if they had added more duck and not just scraps it would be my fav thing of everything we ordered. Will say it tasted like chicken soup. For the duck. It wasn't as crispy as people made it seem to be. I expect idk a more gamey flavor to it and all I kept saying is-This taste like pork carnitas. Idk why we got treated better than the table behind us. We asked for to go just like they did but they just gave them their to-go plates like Here ya go and they put all of our food in our to-go for us. Would I go back? Its one of those you say- Ok I've had it,had the duck, don't get the hype but ok not worth coming back again for more.

Upon entering, the floors were sticky and the entire place reeked of smoke from the cigar lounge next door. We also had to wait while the staff tried to figure out seating. We ordered two drinks and an appetizer, but only one drink was brought out. After 30 minutes, the second drink still hadn't arrived. Our waitress Lilly said she would check on it but it never came, and she eventually disappeared altogether. We asked for a manager twice, and no one ever came. Overall, the staff needs training, service was extremely disappointing and poorly managed.

The beef tacos were okay; however the waiter did not get the order right the first time and we had to send them back. As you can see the beans I had with the shrimp tacos, the bowl was half full. Additionally, it took about 30 minutes to get the tacos and an hour to get the oysters we ordered. I had ate and posted this review and they still weren't at the table. They have music playing and it's clean; however the service is horrible. I have tried to give them a chance over and over, but we are always disappointed. The waiter walked by our table 3 times before picking up dirty dishes. He was very polite but you can't control the whole restaurant. The waiter made our drinks, brought our food. The owner should be here daily to help with service. This restaurant will not last long. Also, I will add it was only us and an older couple in the restaurant at the time. The other couple left because their food was taking too long and they had boiled food. Just read the reviews and fix it. We try to support but this is ridiculous. A year later and I'm still experiencing the same thing from a year ago. Nothing is changing.

Our server Adolfo was very attentive and knew the menu well. He checked on us multiple times even though he had a lot of tables. We loved reading all the notes and pictures past patrons left. Overall 9/10

As we walked in, we were immediately greeted by Eric and seated. He sat us in a private cozy nook but we asked to move to the booths with tv viewing access. Eric took the time to explain the menu and offered his suggestions. He greeted and checked on everyone. As he spoke to people, he would thank them for coming back and converse as if he was speaking to old friends. The customer service was superb. My husband ordered a michelada with Michelob Ultra. He said it was a few degrees shy of having ice in it, who doesn't love a cold beer! For dinner we ordered the gumbo with sausage, red beans and rice, and the twin lobster rolls. The gumbo had a dark roux. It was decent but the spice level was a bit much for me. After about four bites, my husband took over. He enjoyed it. Next was the red beans and rice with sausage. The flavor was good. My only complaint was the sausage pieces were too big for one bite. Lastly was the twin lobster rolls with Cajun fries. The fries were crispy and I'd compare them to Charlie's. The roll had generous portions of delicious lobster. We chose a hot roll but they do serve it cold if you prefer. The basket is served with a 2 oz helping of melted butter for you to drizzle on your rolls. The flat top rolls were buttery, soft, and grilled to perfection. Overall, we enjoyed them but they were missing just a touch of something, maybe a spice, I can't pinpoint it. I would definitely get them again though! The food was all hot and fresh. I overheard Eric telling another customer they don't have heat lamps and everything is brought out as soon as it comes off the stove. The location is in the center of booming shopping centers. This is a great lunch or dinner spot that welcomes casual family friendly dining. I'm glad we returned, we will be back.
