I am blasting this all over the internet. People need to know. Really a terrible mean thing to do to people. I will never pay a referral fee to this office. Even my dental insurance rejected their claim. They know.

In the world we live in today most businesses care about the $$$ only and will charge at ridiculous high prices and the customer or client does not get what they pay for. I was a patient at smooth Sailing Dental up the street from Dr. Karpinski office in Fort Pierce Fl. I had been a patient with both offices since November of 2018. I was given a referral to an implant Dr. in Vero? He was charging 2,500 per implant. We told the Nurse at Smooth Sailing, how ridiculously high that Dr. was. She then recommended Dr. Karpinski. I had a lot of work done at Smooth Sailing Dental and stated my concerns about the fact that I was going to be on the Road in April. I experienced lies and pain at incredibly high prices. I had Dr Shah as my Dentist. After her shots My gums hurt for week on end only to have her hurt me again and their lab technicians are horrible poorly made. So many visit and this Friday the day I was supposed to have all my teeth in after they got paid up front as they require I was not able to get all my teeth. She is going to tell me after she checked everything and ordered the parts that my back Implant had fallen in her hand and then changed her story in front of my Husband that it was lose. She put the abruptments in before ordering the parts then tells me on Friday those lie. Then had the audacity to tell me I needed a new one and tell my Husband she would do it for $3,000. She gave me so many shots then wanted to give me another one after tearing tissue off my gums. Needlessly say we were there from 1:49 till 5:09. So many trips from Grant FL to Fort Pierce making sure everything was as it should be. I find it disgusting at her so called professional treatment. Granted is is Beautiful however she is Heartless and quite unprofessional. She obviously hasn't a clue of how to do her job and lied about the implant being lose or falling in her hand. I believe she made it lose when she was twisting abruptment and then tried covering it up and wanting to get more money at a much higher price without the experience and more torcher. I left there in pain and disappointment of how greedy and uncaring she truly is. I went to Our Angel Dr. Karpinski and he tried to help us He went out of his way and made me some temporary teeth on my right side in the back so I can go to my new job with some what of a smile. He was able to use one existing implant from a prior procedure. The following day, I had temporary teeth placed while waiting the 3 months for the new implants to integrate and the placement of the permanent titanium supported teeth. He works incredibly well with the lab, which I am learning is a critical part of the process. His attention to detail is incredible which I am certain has a great deal to do with his positive outcomes. I was very unsure of the post surgery discomfort thinking that it would be much tougher than my prior implant procedures but this anxiety proved to be unwarranted. Honestly, his work was no move uncomfortable than the individual implant procedures I had done in the past. His staff was professional and thorough with respect to what my role was in achieving the best possible experience. I must admit that I am a good listener and I asked questions when I was not completely clear about any aspect of the process. I would recommend Dr. Colgan and staff.

There were no complications and recovery was fairly quick for me (I also applied DMSO for faster healing.) I was shown what possible complications could potentially occur during surgery and what those options would be (just in case) before commitments were made. Everything went well and the contingencies were not needed. I did not have covering insurance, but the costs were not any more than my in-network insurance dentists had quoted. The latter may also be a reflection upon unscrupulous in-network dentists (name withheld) refusing to grant treatments without agreeing to unnecessary procedures, it is worth noting that I didn't have any unneeded options being pressed with this dentist, and I appreciate that honesty and professionalism. For the dentist and staff, thank you. There were no problems requiring follow-up!

I was told that the office did not take my insurance but they would file the claim on my behalf. I understood that I would be required to pay for the services upfront which I did. The amount changed from what I had been quoted but did not argue with this. After 6 weeks I had not received reimbursement from my insurance so I called and was told that the payment was made to the dentist. I then called Beachside Oral Surgery and was told that it takes a while for them to reconcile their payments. It is now December 22nd and I have not received any payment. My appointment was during the first week of September. I have called and left messages but no one from this office has returned my calls. They received payment by me and insurance which is crazy. My only recourse now is to file suit against the dentist. I do not recommend this practice.
