Upon entering the building you are required to wear masks, which in 2025 is uncommon, but appreciated. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. After waiting for maybe one minute I was already called back for my exam. The doctor was very efficient and thorough. On my exam there was once concern the doctor had, so they actually had me retake one of the eye tests to double check. When I got to try on glasses the lady helping me, I don't remember her name, unfortunately, but she was very kind and helpful. After I decided on a pair the total came to $125. I was about to use my debit card but she asked me if I had an FSA account (which I totally forgot about). This actually saved me money and made a big difference. Overall, this office is a 5/5. I called and got an appointment fairly quickly. As soon as I described the symptoms, Dr Matt said he had an idea of what was going on. After confirming his suspicions with his usual thorough set of exams, he explained my vision was getting BETTER, as it often does with cataracts. The prescription I had was too strong, so my vision was blurry. It was the best possible news because we could correct my vision to 20/20 and the blurriness would disappear. He was 100% right! Dr Matt allayed my fears, was very reassuring, and gave an in-depth thoughtful explanation of the cataract process. You can't put a price on the peace of mind that comes from thoroughly trusting your health care professional with something as precious as your eyesight. Dr Matt has my highest recommendation.

The first time around they got the edge polish wrong (after 2 weeks of processing!). They had promised me matte and it came back glossy. I wore the glasses and was like whoa! Why's there's light shimmering all around my eyes? I gave it back to them, and grumpily the person said "ok we'll send it back". Then she informed me oh they don't even offer the matte finish! Then how come I was offered that in the first place? She had no idea. So she sends it back to change the finish to "satin". Well, a few days later they call me and say hey, we have to change the lens altogether, which will be another 2 weeks. Ok so after more than a month, I get my glasses back. They still feel shiny. But anyway, I get back to my life, but I keep feeling there's still some issue. I keep seeing reflections of stuff. And if someone takes pictures of me they see the flash instead of my eyes. What's going on? I finally figure it out - this lens doesn't have anti-reflective coatings. So I take it back to Cambridge. This time they say oh you declined anti-reflective. But the fact is I had shown them my previous glasses - which *do* have anti-reflective - and told them to make it the same way. They had taken a good look at it, and told me it had anti-reflective. Then why do they say I declined? Well who knows!!! Then they call me back again in 2 days and say hey you are out of our 90 day limit, so they won't do anything. They will neither fix the glasses nor refund the money. Later that afternoon I asked to speak to a doctor because a nearby optical store told me that their doctors will fix this issue for me even if the staff won't. Well, they wouldn't have a doctor speak to me. "They're busy". I have worn glasses for about 35 years of my life'. Gone through many frames and lenses. Not once did I have so much trouble with an optometry store. Not one single time. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Lots of good optometry stores in this area.

I repeatedly told Dr. Kim that this medication was causing me issues. Despite being presented with symptoms Dr. Kim failed to realize I am allergic to prednisolone. As a result of the symptoms I experienced while taking prednisolone I missed 3 days of work and ended up in the ER. My allergy to prednisolone was officially diagnosed and documented by a different doctor on July 19th. Because of this experience I will never take Prednisolone again and I will never get IPL on my face again.

When I arrived, Cesar was helping other customers so Dr. Kim welcomed me in with a friendly smile and handed me the ipad to fill out some forms ahead of my first appointment. It's clear that no task is beneath her which is a great culture to have. The appointment with Dr. Kim was efficient, yet thorough. For example, Dr. Kim pointed out a structural inefficiency with my eyes that no other optometrist had ever pointed out, and she even showed me the images and explained in layman's terms. I never had any discomfort, as Dr. Kim was firm but gentle, when checking various aspects of eye health such as eye pressure. When I was checking out with Cesar, I tried on glasses but couldn't find one I liked that was affordable. Instead of pressuring me to buy a pair at the office, he assured me he would send me my prescription so I could take it anywhere online or to Costco down the street (which I did the next day to get my glasses).
