    General's Chicken -BLAND!
    Edward C.

I was not impressed with the quality of my meal. I ordered General's chicken, a staple at almost all Chinese restaurants. It was bland, while most everywhere it is spicy. I asked for red peppers and suddenly she didn't understand me. Oh well, it was edible, but definitely not satisfying. I paid $9.14 for the Lunch comb plate, with a canned drink The quantity was fine, priced not too bad, but again, not the taste I would have preferred. Not my go to place! Or comeback to either.

Szechuan Style beef extra spicy, wasn't too hot. Pretty good over all!

I threw all my food out. Was that Chicken? The rice tasted like it was cooked in plastic.

Food has always been hot and flavorful. Pretty decent Chinese food. Don't let the location or appearance fool you.

Bourbon chicken is disgusting, rice is disgusting. Worst Chinese food I've ever eaten.

One of the best places for Chinese food and a great atmosphere for family and friends to gather…read more The entree portions are large plus they have a dim sum menu, which promotes sharing. Family dinners are available as well. I enjoyed my flavorful wonton soup, ate plenty of sweet and sour chicken, took bites of the Mongolian beef, and sampled most of the dishes around the table. I realize now that I didn't snap photos of everything! Service was attentive and friendly. Plenty of parking. I'm excited to return with my family.

I will never come back to this place…read more Let me start by saying I used to love this restaurant. It was one of our favorite. But now, it's on our list to never eat here again. It started with me placing an online order. This is new on their website while I was looking at the menu. I figured this would be best than calling the restaurant. How I was so wrong. I placed it with a 30 minute window. Ordered at 4:44 to be pick up at 5:14pm. I showed up to the restaurant at 5:03pm. There was about 4 other people at the counter. One person just placed their order, another person said her mom called to place the order but wasn't sure when it would be ready. They told everyone 20 min. I showed my ordered and they were going to be me 20 minute. I said I placed my order 20 minutes ago. Ok so I waited... Another lady came in and said that she placed her order around the same time online. Her order number was 140 and she had a long receipt with quite a lot of items. My order was 148, somehow. By the time I asked what's going on with my order at 5:15, they said they go by the order number and they're on 138. I don't think they processed my order until I arrived at 5:03pm. It took until 5:39pm before I receive the order in my hand. I only had very few items, one of which was an order for combination lo mein, plain mantou, shrimp tofu and wonton noodle soup. Mind blowing because I paid $50. The online system also charge a $1 fee, which I did not know about until I saw the receipt. Which would had been fine if my order was done in the time it was promised. Now, the staff was not the most friendly either... the person that handed me the bag almost dropped it because she put it in my hand, didn't say a word and turned and walked away. They cannot be any more rude than that. I was sweating profusely and shaking while waiting for a very long time while I am pregnant and nauseous. Now here's the review for the food. It was not good. We have had some on and off with their food and we haven't been back for a while so I wanted to give them another chance. But their lo mein was soo salty, and they used pad thai noodles. The wonton noodle soup was small container, so bland, literally no flavors, and the wonton tasted so bad. They put really hot tofu that was deep fried in styrofoam container that it put a hole through the container. So my paper bag was soaked and wet within the 6 minutes drive home. The mantou was so tiny for $4.5. Not worth it. All in all, the 4 items that I ordered did not worth the $50 for almost an hour wait, not worth my time or money. I wouldn't have eaten the food if I didn't already paid. Had I not already paid online, I would just had left.

She kept us entertained with her stories, had great recommendations, and was just such a genuinely kind and outgoing person. The food was also so yummy! We've been here multiple times and it's always the same great quality every time. It never disappoints, which is honestly hard to find. Between the food and the amazing service from Ash, we had such a great experience. She definitely went above and beyond and deserves all the recognition!

It's summer and sizzly hot and electrical issues happen. We deal. This would easily have been overlooked if the service or the food had compensated. But our server could not have cared less about us and was aloof and cold, expressionless. Took forever to come to our table and barely checked on us the entire meal. Then, after waiting an eternity, we were both brought the wrong food. Yes, we each were served the wrong dish. We both had ordered scallops and we both got sashimi. We were so hungry that we simply went ahead and ate it so that we could get out of that place. Indifferent waiters do not HEAR well, apparently. I likely won't be back. There are simply too many other good sushi places in Louisville. This was more than simply "one bad night" for the restaurant, in my opinion. It was a composite of "yuck."
