It was our last day of staying in Florida and needed a breakfast stop before we left. Popped up on top of recommendations list so we gave it a go. Never regretted going there. Love their vegetarian sandwiches! I've eaten there for lunch only twice. Both times I had a vegetarian sandwich and 1/2 an avocado! Each sandwich has been different as they change their menu often. It is a small menu but each sandwich was completely different but very delicious! I have my sandwich's put in a wrap as I don't eat bread. Excellent service, great coffee, liked that a thermal pot was left at the table for easy warmups. Not terribly noisy. Problem was that the carrot cake pancake had RAW grated carrots in it that gave a crunch to the pancake that was most unpleasant and I left most of it on my plate. Asked waitress and was advised that that was how they were made. Ok for a salad but not for a pancake. Carrot cake is baked for close to an hour so the carrots are cooked through. We've been here a few times, and while the food has always been pretty good, the service is slower than a snail. We were seated in about 5 minutes, which was fine. But, It took 50 minutes for us to receive our order. It was steady, but not bursting at the seams busy. We asked for ice water with lemon, and the server brought a half caraf of cold water and 3 small juice glass size cups with no ice and no lemon. The water in the caraf was easily gone with 3 of us at the table at the first fill. I asked for ice and the server brought one small juice size glass with ice. Perhaps their ice and normal adult size glasses are in with the supply chain problems. It was just very odd. The only way I'd ever go back there is if someone else is buying. This was our second time in and first time having lunch. We each did the 2 for You, mine being ham & Gruyere on gf bread and tomato bisque and his a cobb salad and Monterey club. This location is the first time I've ever eaten at First Watch and I'm hooked! They have a lot of options for food, the breakfast tacos are SO GOOD, and everything is very reasonably priced. My boyfriend loved the fact that he could get free refills on coffee (they don't do that in Ireland for coffee or tea!) it's always busy here but we never have a problem getting a seat. It seems like the theme of this restaurant is farm style food with a healthy twist but almost every dish has pork in it. As a person who doesn't eat pork and I don't remember it being healthy, it is difficult for me to find anything to eat here that doesn't have pork. There were several dishes that seemed like they would be good but there was always pork in it. I ended up getting an egg sandwich without pork. It was good but I still was charged full price which was a bummer and for the price I could have made the same thing at home. The different fruit/veggie juices they make on site are pretty good. My favorite is the kale tonic. The service has been okay but the staff there always seems disorganized. The restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch so the menu consists of those types of dishes (sandwiches, egg dishes, salads, American style food, etc.). Overall, this restaurant is okay but if you don't eat pork I suggest trying some place else especially since they will charge you for it anyway. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! I was in town visiting my parents when they suggested we go to First Watch for brunch... I had never heard of First Watch before but now my life is forever changed! We sat outside and while we did not bring our furry friends, it was cool that the outdoor seating area was pet friendly and that there was a water bowl. My dad ordered us some coffee and I love that they had individual flavored creamers already on table. I got the Avocado Toast which was TO DIE FOR and my mom ordered us the Millionaire's Bacon which was so amazing. My mouth is watering right now. I had no idea that First Watch was a chain restaurant and I'm soooo happy to know that there are locations in Virginia! I will DEFINITELY be returning! read more

Went for breakfast on a Saturday. Opted not to go to Bob Evans or Metro Grille, two of our regular breakfast stops. My wife ordered the Belgian waffle , eggs and bacon and I ordered the French Toast, eggs and link sausage. It is unusual to describe a breakfast as " delicious" but ours was. The plate presentation was comparable to eating breakfast at a Ritz Carlton. Eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon and sausage were hot and cooked to order. Treat yourself and try them. read more

For breakfast I ordered the Eggs Benedict; my husband ordered Huevos Rancheros. Both took forever to get to us, and both were cold (we didn't complain for fear we'd wait another 25 minutes for replacements. The second time we went for lunch, figuring our first negative experience to be a fluke. Service was slightly faster--there were far fewer customers--but the food and service were indifferent. We ordered sandwiches, Ham and Gruyere for me ,and Roast Beef and Hvarti for my husband. While served warm, the distribution of meat, tomato, cheese and condiment were uneven and heavy. Our server brought us the check and reassured us that there was no hurry when we were half-way through, but never checked back. We had to flag down a random employee to bring us a box for our uneaten food and then wait until someone finally noticed us waiting at the cash register and deigned to allow us to pay.
