My bf and I stumbled upon this little brunch spot and OH MY WORLD. It is SO freaken good! We sat outside bc we didn't want to wait for indoor seating (we were hangryyy). It was pleasant outside and very clean. We also got so lucky bc Brooke was our server and she is such a sweet, happy, charming, and fun person! I loved her energy! She made the whole experience even better. I got the avocado toast with a side of regular bacon. It also came with two over easy steamed eggs (sounds weird but I loved it). The amount of cado they give you is so generous. It had a lemony hue to it which was divine. Bacon was crispy and also a generous amount. My bf got the carne asada hash which was a huge portion with eggs. He added a side of Millionaire Maple Bacon. Holy smokes. Delish! My absolute favorite was the juiced beverage I got. I forget what I was called. Morning Meditation? It was magenta and orange in color and tasted like literal heaven. Get it!!! When we left, the hostess gave us a buy one get one free entree for our next visit. We fly back to Tempe in a few weeks so we will definitely be going! I'm salivating just thinking about it. Met my friend here for brunch on a Saturday. I've been wanting to try out First Watch for a while but finally just got around to it. Be warned that parking is limited for the restaurant...I had to drive around a few times to find a spot. This location is right in ASU land so expect it to be busy with college patrons. Our wait was about 20 minutes but they have a very organized way for managing the crowd. It's a modern style place with indoor and outdoor patio seating options. Once we were seated, service was excellent. Our server was very humble and kind. The food was sent out in a timely manner and it was delicious. You can taste that it's made to order with fresh ingredients. We felt attended to and also not pressured to rush our meal so we could talk leisurely. Really enjoyed this place! read more

The first time I went, their mobile payment option charged me twice, then said nothing went through and to pay via my server. Then my server told me to pay at the front. I was out $100. They said they'd refund the two transactions that "didn't go through." They did after a week. They did offer me a buy one get one coupon which was nice. Still, I could not imagine the embarrassment someone would have if they were not in a position to pay $100 for a $12 omelette. I ordered no bacon on this omelette. There was one singular triangle of bacon right on the center of my plate when the server served it. Just why? What kind of message are you sending me by putting one easily removable, yet contaminating piece of bacon on my no bacon omelette. The food's taste was good but it came out just warm and not hot. What a waste of an hour and an annoyance to have my money tied up for a week. I went again. I asked if they could do an omelette without any cooking oil. Server says she'll ask the chef, comes back and says "was that enough time to decide?" I ask again and she runs off and asks this time. They cannot. Come on guys, you're supposed to be pros. Get some stainless steel going. I ordered an omelette no cheese to compensate for the calories, and they served it with no garnish! Like really guys you couldn't make my ham and Gruyère no Gruyère at least look like it's not 3 eggs with bologna in between. Also it was just lukewarm again. Good job on the mixed greens and toast. I did get sat quickly as a party of one which I appreciated, and all of my friends have said good things about the place. The server on my first trip was great, holly I think was her name. We've been to this location many times. The service has always been fantastic. The quality of the bacon and sausage is very good. The eggs are of average quality and on the small side. This time I ordered something different than I usually do. I've admired their large multi-grain pancakes from afar a few times. I was amazed by how large and healthy they looked as they passed by my table. So I decided to take the plunge. I was more than disappointed when delivered. It seems shrink-flation has reared its ugly head here. On top of that it wasn't fully cooked. It was grainy, and not from the whole grain. I came here today with a friend for some brunch. From the first time I saw down to the final to go box, our server Bryan was truly amazing. He had an upbeat personality, he was personable, he was attentive, he made a point to provide the best customer service and experience overall. The menu options were varied and so many things looked pretty good. I got the traditional breakfast with meat for my meal. I chose two eggs over medium, chicken sausage, potatoes, and gluten free toast preserves. Everything was cooked very well and tasted wonderful. The plating of the food and the garnishing was spot on as well. The bacon pictured was an appetizer/side my friend ordered. I tried a piece of it and it was pretty tasty. Reviews did not measure up at all. Terribly average breakfast place with long wait times. What is this plague of sub average brunch food spots?? Took 30-40 min to get our food. Super busy when we came in, which gave me some hope that it would be a worthwhile wait, but the experience just wasn't worth it. Parking can be a hassle, I'd recommend taking public transit if you can. Chile Chorizo - Pretty good omelette, over salted potatoes. Seems like it was sitting out for a while, because it was room temperature by the time it got to our table. Iced coffee - I thought I'd be getting it black since the menu didn't indicate otherwise, but it comes with creamer and sugar already in it. Can't appreciate as someone lactose intolerant I feel as if brunch chains like First Watch are taking over the food scene somehow with mediocre food and nothing new to offer. We were seated quickly but waited a while for a server. It became obvious that the entire staff had been overwhelmed on one of the busiest days of the year. This is a nice place. The parking lot is unbearably tiny so be prepared to park far and walk if you're going on anytime on the weekend. Thankfully, even though we had to park far away, the place wasn't as packed as we thought. We arrived around 9:20 on a Saturday and were seated immediately. The service is super friendly and super quick :) I ordered the sunrise granola bowl and my bestie ordered the elevated egg sandwich. To be frank, I feel like there's only so much you can do with a greek yogurt bowl with granola and fruit on top, and they delivered on their end. There was PLENTY of granola and it was nice and crunchy. The only thing I didn't prefer were the pineapple and melon? (I think it was honeydew); they must've not been ripe enough cause after one piece, I was done trying those. However, the blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries were just right. The side blueberry muffin was good, nothing special. The bestie liked her egg sandwich and it looked delicious on my end. Our waitress got us our checks super quickly. And I also like their pay at the counter system because then I don't feel weird paying in cash if someone else is paying with their card at the table, so I was able to use up some cash. This location specifically I Would give one star but the food was decent and it filled me up. Every other location I've been to has been AMAZING. Usually first watch is really good. But I've never been to the Tempe location. First off we had an appetizer, which they forgot to bring the sides for until our main course was out, and our appetizer was cold. We got a 'sorry!' But no accommodations. My partners hollandaise sauce was different than mine, they were both bland, but his had more flavor. there's a new guy being trained in the kitchen and we are the test subjects apparently; my potatoes were more seasoned and crispy than his. He hardly ate a third of his food, just trying to be polite. It was visibly a different plate than mine although we basically ordered the same thing. Why is there no consistency? Why is a tables food being made separate? they refused to put extra gravy when I had asked, and then charged me an extra 60% on top of my meal for more gravy. It's ridiculous to spend $50 on a meal for 2 people with 2 waters and only have enough gravy for half a biscuit and have to be charged 60% of the order cost just to have enough gravy for the order. I've been cooking for 12 years, I know what goes on back there and this was a terrible experience and should have been noticed by several of the staff since we were only one of the couple tables seated in the establishment. When asked about this, we received 10% off. I didn't argue, I'll just leave a review and let people know that the Tempe location isn't it. Try any first watch in Phoenix! I've been to First Watch so many times, and each time it is just as good as the last! The Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict is a new dish for me! The crunchy ciabatta is the base for the smoked salmon, onions, tomatoes, two poached eggs, and creamy hollandaise sauce. Served with a side of roasted seasoned potatoes, which are my favorite! The Farmhouse skillet is still my favorite meal I've had from them! One thing about First Watch that always makes me love it more is their speciality drinks. However our server did not smile at us ONCE which is kind of ridiculous. The place is very casual and clean, a typical brunch place. I'm sure on the weekends this place is packed and the parking would be horrible but we came on a weekday. They have a a huge menu and lots to chose from. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and knew her menu. I went with the most popular item the server recommended and I was very happy. The Chickichanga was amazing, good flavors. The chicken wasn't dry. Some bomb green chili on this would make this meal perfect. This comes with potatoes, or fruits or some greens. The fruits was fresh. Had to order the chorizo omelet as well cause the Chickichanga portion is smaller than expected. (Maybe they should adjust the menu and offer two or one for the order - just a suggestion. Love First Watch but today we had the worst dining experience EVER! Jessica was the most unfriendly, surly waitress we have ever encountered. While we were eating, they literally turned OFF the lights in the restaurant exactly at 2:30 p.m. (closing time). Now we all know they still had a lot of cleaning to do but we were left in the dark to eat our last few remaining bites of food (I had to use the flashlight on my phone to see my food). We have NEVER experienced this at ANY restaurant in our lives. Jessica started defending what happened and argued with us. When I told her that she shouldn't be in the business, she started yelling at me and went into the kitchen cussing (f--- word) and screaming. She seriously needs to be terminated immediately! We love First Watch and eat at this location and others in the area quite often. But this was the worse dining experience of our lives...from the moment we walked in the door (Jessica's unfriendly, unwelcoming attitude) until we left. There was a small mix up when we had first arrived and initially I was not happy. Th manager oversaw the situation and immediately acted upon it as well as one of his waitresses who was also very polite. We were accommodated so nicely by both and were given apologies and the mix up was resolved instantly. Not only that, the food was out of this world. If there's one thing on the menu you NEED to order, it is the lemon ricotta pancakes. They melt in your mouth! Add the sangria with it too and it's such a perfect combo.
