Unfortunately, my meal came with avocado slices. I received all 4 slices with black mold on it. When I asked our waitress for other few slices as the original ones were molding already, her response was "well I can bring more out but I can't promise they won't look the same" as she is staring at the moldy slices as nothing was wrong with them. She brings more out and same issue. Understandably, it is the chef's responsibility as to the quality of product that is being served however it is the waitress' responsibility on how to manage the situation respectfully and gracefully. Horrible Avocado Toast Experience I honestly don't know what First Watch was thinking when they handed me this box and called it avocado toast. What I got looked like someone scooped half-mashed avocado from the trash, plopped it onto a sad piece of bread, and sprinkled disappointment on top. The bread was soggy, the avocado looked gray and lifeless, and it was all tossed into the container like an afterthought. For the price they charge, this is insulting. I could've made a better version blindfolded with a half-rotten avocado from the back of my fridge. We visit at least once a year when Osage Beach. The food is terrific and we always get amazing service. My only complaint is that the a/c temp made it feel like we were in a walk-in freezer. Took almost 30 min for food to come for 2 out of 3 people, the 3rd was 10 more minutes. My "hot" plate was barely warm. Food was just warm, avocado was turning brown, eggs were over-cooked. Drove to Osage Beach to the hospital and my appointment was cancelled, Our daughter in law's C-Section was moved to later in the day and Miss Emily took it all in stride. There were a lot of people at the door when my kids and I walked in but we were warmly greeted and everyone was sat right away. Water pitchers were brought out as soon as we sat down. The menu had really creative items that seemed to focus on a "farm to table" feel...not sure if that's true but that's the feeling I got. I got the pick two; soup and salad. We also ordered the kids chocolate chip pancake and bacon (huge pancake) and a chickichanga. This felt like an upscale Panera bread with fresh foods. When we went to pay at the front I noticed a huge blackboard with daily specials. I wished I would have noticed beforehand because everything sounded delicious on it as well. When I showed them the text they went ahead and sat us immediately, which I was impressed with! It was incredibly busy but our waitress was attentive and our food came out hot and was so delicious!
