We went here on the Fourth of July, expecting a crazy wait time and a long wait for food. When we got there I told them I had gotten in line online line and they couldn't find my reservation. When I showed them the text they went ahead and sat us immediately, which I was impressed with! It was incredibly busy but our waitress was attentive and our food came out hot and was so delicious! The whole staff was very polite and maintained their calm during a busy time. Will definitely come back when I'm in town. read more

We just left not 2 minutes ago. what a great place. chic atmosphere, great food, and friendly staff that were working their tails off. Only complaint is the heavy handed female manager in the kitchen on that was screaming at the staff loud enough for us and other customers to hear. Oh my gosh- this place was soooo yummy! The waffle was light and airy, unlike anything I've had. Million dollar bacon? Tasted like a million sweet bacon bucks. And I ordered the AM Superfoods bowl and wanted to lick the bowl when I was done it was so good! So so good! Huge menu selection with lots of healthier and organic choices, but still very delicious and indulgent breakfast foods. They have seasonal rotating specials that never disappoint. I don't have any specific dishes to recommend because everything we have tried has been delicious. You really can't go wrong ordering anything off the menu. We've eaten at several locations and the service, atmosphere, and cleanliness have been top notch at all of them. read more

Never been here before but felt comfortable with the things they said they were doing for virus protection and safety. Food was ok if you like the 'nuts and berries sort of thing. The waitress was very attentive and service was fast. But...none of the staff were wearing masks. I think we'll not go back for a while. read more

Million dollar bacon burnt on the ends and too much pepper. Ordered the Tri-fecta with carrot pecan pancake but what I got was the banana granola crunch pancake! Waitress corrected pancake order as well as million dollar bacon. Bacon that came with Tri-fecta to me tasted better but each to their own. Eggs over easy were good! read more

First time here and will NOT go back! We ordered the chorizo Chile and ham Gruyère omelets with breakfast potatoes. First, we waited 25 minutes to get our food. When it arrived the potatoes/onions were literally burned black. The egg part of the omelet had been horribly over cooked ... the brown side was folded to the inside of the omelet. We had ordered a watermelon wake up for one of my girls and when my other girl tried it she wanted one also but when she had gotten it she said it wasn't the same. Always consistent and good, more healthy options than a greasy spoon. Just be sure to get eggs cooked less than you want because they continue to cook on the hot food on the way to the table. Service was excellent from every employee. read more

Sooooo....I've come here many times and really enjoyed the meal and the staff. Today, however, I ordered a drink the way I've ordered it 10 plus times, every time I come here, this time the waitress insisted on going around and around with me when I told her I'd like the drink the way I've always gotten it. After arguing with me that it is not the way it's done here, she left with agreeing to "add a splash of orange juice" (extra charge A ok). she comes back, plops down a small glass and says "I'm Gonna have to charge you for a small orange juice if you want some in there".....wow. Ok. Uhmm....that would Have been fine if that's the way you do this now....I've never seen it served in that little glass and there certainly isn't any room for any orange juice, and they knew it. Please. I've had it the same way over and over, why not come back and tell me before you brought the little glass with no room for a splash of orange juice which I would Have gladly paid for the entire glass of orange juice for that. If things have changed, charge away! But it would never fit in the small glass and they knew it. Way to get bullied from the front staff and the back staff. I was a little nervous after being challenged over something so stupid, I dare not order. I left. Really??? Now that it's summer I guess local Means nothing....that was ridiculous arguing over why I cannot have the drink the way I've had it for months and months. Way to bully. We left. We had very little wait time, we're waited on by Cat at First Watch with quick service and great breakfast for my husband who enjoyed the Yogurt Granola Bowl and Scrambled Eggs and I ordered a lunch entree of Chicken Salad Melt with Greens on the side. Very disappointed in how we were treated in the restaurant today. Memorial Day I understand is busy and I understand good service is difficult to secure these days. Hostess was incredibly difficult (we had checked in online and was told it was a 30-45 min wait) when we arrived at 30 min we were told it would be another 30-45 min. She kept talking over me then turned around and walked off. The manager came over snd raised her voice at me, told me the online system never worked correctly and she had nothing to do with it. She confined to put her finger in my face and tell me I was rude. When we were finally seated our server was excellent. However, one person on our party, his food arrived 20 min before anyone else's, the rest of our food arrived cold. And then my daughter pulled a 6" hair out of her pancakes. We've always enjoyed First Watch in KC, this location does not appear to be in line with the quality of the other First Watch locations. read more

It's still a new restaurant so it takes a bit longer but the food was worth it. I'd definitely check in online when we come back. We had some issues with getting seated, but once we were at our table, the experience was amazing! Our server Jess was very sweet and made sure we were well taken care of. The kitchen staff were unparalleled!!! Our food was made so quickly and all 8 of us had wonderful meals!! But the experience was really made by Dawan's hard work. It was clear how much pride he takes in his work and wanted to make sure we had an amazing experience. He was working so hard and remained so professional the entire time. He dealt with quite a few difficult situations and handled them incredibly. I would come back because of the food, the waitress, and the manager. I'm sure the front of the house will iron out their kinks soon. read more

Usually I love First Watch but this lake one ripped my friends and me off! There was a glitch in their system and they ended up over charging us on their mistake!!! They weren't even willing to discount our meal off of their mistake. I do not advise going to this place. read more
