Visited First Watch in Clearwater during my trip and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. The food came out fresh, well seasoned, and genuinely satisfying. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, the potatoes had a great crispy bite, and the bacon was cooked just right. I also tried one of their juices, and it was honestly so refreshing, bright, cold, and tasted super fresh. The portions were generous without feeling heavy, and everything looked as good as it tasted. Service was smooth, and the vibe was exactly what you want from a breakfast and brunch spot. My wife and I were in the area shopping and decided to stop in for brunch. We were familiar with the chain and have dined with First Watch many times during our travels. This was between late breakfast and early lunch so not real busy. We were seated right away and brought menus. My wife was more in the mood for brunch, so she chose the Brisket for the Biscuit special that was highlighted. I decided to be a tiny bit more health conscious and selected the Multi-Grain Blueberry pancakes. We enjoyed coffees and out meals came out quickly, hot and delicious. I must admit, I was a bit jealous. Her Brisket for the Biscuit looked incredible and tasted great - she did share a bite, but only one. My pancakes were light and fluffy and wonderful. We wanted to switch up a cold brew coffee and she made us her special cold brew with sea salted caramel drizzle inside the glass and sweet cold foam. Holy smokes! Best cold brew we've ever experienced. Rebecca is such as a joy and we look for her to lift out morning. First Watch in Oldsmar has a nice vibe with inside and outside seating. We often use the outside area for work meetings and enjoy great food. We love this particular location. Food of course is always quality. Same star review update! A few years ago I rated First Watch in Oldsmar a four star first impression and will keep it that way. I'm still digging the modern farmhouse vibe and overall esthetic, the larger than life menu, gluten free choices, and stellar iced coffee. The food is consistently top notch. So why is one star missing? Experience. First Watch offers brunch including pitchers of blackberry sangria. When any pitcher of alcohol is served to a table, it's safe to assume that party wants to stay for a bit. Recently my group went for brunch, ordered the sangria, and felt incredibly rushed. Our vibe that day: sip fresh coffee, catch up a bit, explore the giant menu, and pour the first glass of sangria. Their vibe: get us to order like the restaurant was on fire. Food was served promptly and was fantastic. No complaints there, just that our check was delivered 50 minutes after arriving. I would understand if the place was packed but it wasn't. First Watch is one of my favorite brunch spots. The food is always delicious and they always have something new on the menu. On our most recent visit, I ordered the Parmesan Prosciutto toast, it's a seasonal item. I love the mix of textured and flavors, specially the arugula. I'm a big Arugula girl! My friend ordered the French Toast and it's one of the best ever, the brioche bread really makes a huge difference and they serve it with warm syrup, yum! We also ordered blueberry muffins grilled, trust me once you have a grilled muffin you will never want it any other way. This is a popular breakfast chain with great service, properly cooked eggs and low prices. My friend and I arrived at 10am on a Saturday and we only had to wait 30 minutes. The weather is so wonderful, we ate outside. I always order an egg over medium and they cooked it perfectly. Then I get a side of grits and they were smooth and buttery. In fact, I think next time I will ask for less butter. But, I have to admit, grits and butter go well together. My friend got a vegetable and smoked salmon frittata and it looked good. He reported it was delicious. He had it with fresh fruit and it was also very affordable. I think next time we will have breakfast earlier and perhaps avoid the rush. My daughter and I went to First Watch in Oldsmar. We'd never heard of it and were just driving by and spotted it. We had breakfast. It was perhaps the greatest breakfast experience we'd ever had. The food is outrageous, fresh and delicious. The pancakes were amazing as were the breakfast tacos. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was warm and upbeat. Sadly, I don't live in Florida and the nearest First Watch is many miles away. I really look forward to my next trip to Florida. I will surely drop in to First Watch again. read more

I am clearly not a morning person as I work nights, so there's very few things in life that I will wake up early (as in before 11 am) for. First Watch is one of them. Why??? Because they are the BEST place to go for breakfast. Everything they make is with fresh, top-notch ingredients, and its non-greasy, which is another bonus. Think of any breakfast item, go ahead, any you could think of, and I guarantee that First Watch makes it better than the rest. Pancakes? First Watch's pancakes are HUGE and come in great flavors like chocolate chip, blueberry, carrot cake, and are delicious until the very last bite. They are also multigrain, which I normally hate, but theirs is hearty and adds a rather pleasing texture. Omelets? Wow, they are the best. They have a huge variety you can choose from that you won't get anywhere else. My go to fave is the Gruyere-Ham omelet, which you won't get anywhere else. Gruyere is some of my most favorite cheese, which again goes back to them only using the best ingredients. They also use thinly sliced ham in this omelet. Strangely takes me back to the Parisian cafes because apparently there's alot of ham in Paris, and like in Paris, they add a side of salad to their omelets. Who else does that??? Typically I reject the toast that comes with the breakfast, but oh man, I LIVE for their toast. Homemade multigrain (again--not really my favorite in any other situation, but First Watch does multigrain VERY well) with butter and HOMEMADE strawberry preserves. The perfect finish to an outstanding breakfast. I had to add their cheese grits for good measure, because I LOVE grits. Theirs is smooth and buttery to perfection with a rich layer of cheddar on top. I would definitely have to get this next time I go. Customer service is ALWAYS good. They greet you with a bright smile and the servers are always attentive with good people skills. They seem happy, and a happy employee has to come from a good company, I hope. Always a pleasure to eat here, and they are always worth the early morning wake up for me. read more

Amazing breakfast / brunch place! This place opened up less than a year ago & boy am I glad that they did as this area needed a great place like this! Creative menu items with quality ingredients. I have enjoyed a nice healthy omelette with delish artisan bread & it's very easy to swap ingredients if there is something in the dish that you don't care for. Large thermos of coffee & water is served at every table - something I truly like as I hate having an empty glass. Service is excellent - all the servers are pleasant & helpful. FW will always be in my top five (at least the Clearwater location).. I've been to this location now a about four times, and I have yet to be impressed. The food is middle of the road. The main ingredients they got down, it's the seasoning thats missing. e.g the avocado toast, quality bread and fresh avocados, thats all great, but wheres the seasoning? My other issue... and I hate to single FW out because other restaurants seem to do the same.. but why bother asking how you want your eggs if you cant get it right? I always ask for my eggs to be cooked over medium, but they always come out over easy.. this even after I send it back and they attempt to correct it.. its a mystery to me. read more

I was excited to try the First Watch location in Oldsmar, because the chain is a family favorite and this location is more convenient for us than others in the area. First Watch restaurants usually provide consistently healthy, tasty food in a clean environment with good service. Unfortunately, this location was a disappointment. As we walked to our table I noticed all of the empty dirty tables around the restaurant and the food all over the floor - not a good sign. When we were seated at our table, I pulled out my chair and noticed there was food all under our table as well so I asked the hostess if someone could sweep it up (which they did). After sitting down, I realized the table was dirty and had not been cleaned either. When the server came to take our orders I asked if she could wipe down the table. She came back with a towel (that looked dirty) and wiped the most visible dirty spots but not the entire table. Even if we weren't in a global pandemic, I would hope that tables would be cleaned better. Since we are in a pandemic, I would hope that each table would be thoroughly sanitized between guests - clearly that isn't happening here, even when a guest points out the table is dirty. The food was OK, although the eggs were not cooked thoroughly (even when ordered to be cooked through & browned). The bread they used for the toast was delicious - light & fluffy, even when toasted. Overall, this location was disappointing. I'm not sure I would dine here again given the cleanliness issues. If the restaurant had been packed with customers I could maybe understand getting behind on cleaning, but most of the restaurant was empty and there were staff standing around. Using the same towel to wipe down every table doesn't really seem like "cleaning" either, it's more like spreading dirt & germs from one table to the next. My husband and I went to First Watch located at 3691 Tampa Rd., in Oldsmar for breakfast. We walked in and the first thing we noticed is how LOUD the restaurant is and it was hard to hear the hostess! Ever since they changed the interior decor to the trendy industrial urban design concept, it is extremely difficult to relax and enjoy a nice breakfast, due to the high level of noise! The ambiance and atmosphere is now crazy and chaotic! Everyone in the restaurant has to speak louder in order for others to hear you which includes the food servers. I miss the original First Watch that was in Clearwater that had the lower ceilings, softer lighting, sunshine yellow walls and padded comfortable booths. As oppose steel fixtures, metal beams, tall ceilings which amplifies and echoes noise and hard wood booths which are so uncomfortable. All the First Watch restaurants in Pinellas have been remodeled. This new decor theme is a trend in restaurants across the Country and it is intentional. The goal for restaurateurs to get customers in and out by making it as uncomfortable and loud as possible. The higher turnover of customers, the more profitable the restaurateurs become. Well it's working because the restaurant is always busy, customers are in and out regardless of the noise. First Watch has the best tasting coffee, the food is always delicious and the service is great, unfortunately the nonstop LOUD NOISE is a nuisance and annoying! Overall the restaurant ambiance makes it a very unpleasant dining experience. We will be back with a set of ear plugs in my ears. :) read more

I've never had a bad meal at First Watch. The gravy and biscuits are fresh and delicious. The eggs are always just right. I love the grilled onions they add to their breakfast potatoes. A pot of coffee and all the fixings were available in seconds. The table was clean and not too close to other diners. Tastefully decorated to make you feel at home. First watch used to be one of my favorite breakfast places back when I was living in Kansas City. However, my experience here in Tampa was not great. We got seated immediately upon arrival because the restaurant was basically empty. There was 5 of us plus a baby. However. It took a while for our server to come over. He must have been stoned or something because he was very aloof. We gave him our orders which was not that difficult but he came back to ask us again what we ordered. When 30 minutes had passed without food, we looked for him to ask what's going on because there was literally only like 3 other parties in the place. There was a table that even got their food before us even though they came after us. When our food finally came, half of the orders were wrong. And mine was missing a few things which the server said would be on the way. It had been 45 minutes of waiting for food at this point. Like how could you bring a plate out that was not complete?!? The place is super cute, has a great farm/barn look and a great open floor with lots of seating. The food choices are HEAVENLY!!! Sooo much awesomeness, I wanted to order multiple dishes at once. We had the salmon Benedict and Avocado toast. I can't wait to come back for the pancakes, French toast, and all the other sweets they offer! The food at first watch in general is really great. However, this comment is on the customer service i experienced while doing an Uber eats delivery and had to pick up from this location. When i arrived at this location for a pickup, there was a small line to speak with a hostes so i waited. While standing there, more people came in and stood behind me. A second hostes comes out and looks past me (black male) and says to the people behind me (who were white). Hello, and how many are in your party? I kindly stepped to her and let her know i was next, and she refused to look at me and proceeded to seat the white family behind me. As that family walked by me, they all looked down towards the ground as they passed because they knew what had just happened. At this point I'm furious. When i went to speak with the other hostess, she knew what had happened as well because she was somewhat embarrassed. Who would think that in 2023 you still would have to deal with "in your face" racism. The extreme disrespect in this dispensation will mot be tolerated. Stay far away from this location unless you enjoy the mistreatment of others unless you yourself become a victom. read more

We enjoyed mother's day breakfast at First Watch Oldsmar. Amazingly our meals arrived at our tables super quick despite the crowd. We sat outside with pros = quieter, immediate seating vs 20 min wait for inside and cons = cool breeze but still sticky humidity. I would recommend using the waitlist found on Yelp here as when we left the wait was huge. For our meals we had lemon ricotta pancakes, Bacado and Mediterranean bowl - all super delicious. All Moms received a Mother's Day small box of chocolates - thank you! Last thing - it was a pleasure going to a restaurant where it was easy to find a parking space.
