The food is always consistent, the staff is always friendly and we go almost every weekend. The perfect little breakfast spot!

Usually, one of my favorite brunch places. Today the food was, as always, excellent. The service ruined the dining experience, or should I say lack of service. Server was Olivia, she was like a ghost who vanished after she took our order. We specifically asked for water when food was served, we had to flag down an adjacent server to finally get the water and to get a small box for take home. Olivia flippantly appeared towards the end of the meal to literally drop a check. Tapped the table and asked if everything was "good" didn't even stick around long enough for an answer and disappeared once again. If this was my first visit to this restaurant, it would have been my last. read more

First Watch is a very nice breakfast, brunch, lunch place. The atmosphere is refreshing, the food is good, and the wait staff is customer service oriented. As you enter the place you will find that the atmosphere opens into a big open room with high ceilings. The décor is minimalist with a touch of art with a country/farm theme. Most of the seating is tables and chairs with booths around the perimeter. All of which are comfortable. The booths seem to be a little higher sitting than the chairs and being shorter of stature I tend to avoid the booths. I usually come in for breakfast but have had lunch, as well, which I found equally pleasing. During breakfast you are, many times, greeted by a server with a larger coffee decanter that has about 3 cups of coffee. It is hot and ready to go. Order water is just as impressive as it is provided in old fashioned looking glass milk containers with more than enough water to satisfy thirst. For breakfast I order the Traditional with two eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes or grits, with their toast. The toast is one of their signature items, which is thick, grain filled slices accompanies by a preserve. This is a delicious place worth your time. read more

This location deserves a zero. The line chefs at this breakfast house does not know how to make eggs correctly. You would think that this would be the first thing that they should know how to make. The servers do not care about the quality of the food that they are giving to the customer. Attempted it three times and each time it just got worse then the time before it. My family and I which is a party of three have visited this location in when it's not that busy. Where there is only about 4 tables occupied and we were one of 4 the tables. Each table had no more than 3 to 4 people. Took 55 minutes to get a Egg Benedict. They over cooked the egg were it was extremely rubbery. The server never apologize. Just asked if I just wanted some new eggs on the side. Did not switch out the plate they just brought the eggs to put back on not thinking that it has hollandaise sauce. They attempted this four times. Failing each time. Not knowing how to make a poached egg at a breakfast house is embarrassing. The last attempt was extremely undercooked. It was not poached it was almost to the point of being straight raw egg. Plus on this attempt instead of having Canadian bacon for a normal eggs Benedict they replaced the Canadian bacon with deli ham that you would get on a sandwich. The server never mentioning that perhaps ran out of the bacon they just picked it up and dropped it off. So I would chuck it up that the cook just does not even know how to proper and eggs Benedict. And that the sever doesn't even check the dish. I mentioned the specific event because every time we visit it was very similar to this were the cook does not know how to make a breakfast dish at a breakfast house. I have visited the other locations in the area for first watch in the fine I like the music on with me correctly but this location needs an overhaul. I recommend this restaurant but not this location. read more

Hipster vibe, great food. The kale drink isn't the same consistency as throwing your kale + veggies into a nutribullet - it's a little watery. That is my only complaint and missing star. The staff is friendly, they were on a wait but moved very quickly, clean bathrooms & the food was EXCELLENT! The avocado salad with tomato soup was so good and filling! My other half got a Gruyere and ham sandwich that he was happy with as well. Definitely a spot I'll return to next time I visit. Parking SUCKS. read more

I've heard great things about First Watch for a while now and finally made my way into one and was not disappointed. With a very neat, clean, and cool appearance, it has a huge seating capacity for a breakfast joint and the is a small section for communal seating if that's your thing. The food was all very good with us deciding on an omelet, fruit coveted french toast, and a quinoa energy bowl that was very tasty. For drinks, the coffee was actually very good and we both got a kale tonic that tasted more like cucumber than kale and again was actually very good. The staff was very professional and friendly and all of our food and beverages were out super fast. Although I don't go out to eat breakfast very often except on Sundays for brunch, when I do I would love to come back here for the fresh ingredients and ease of getting in and out. read more

I have been to this location a few times. For brunch and lunch. Keep in mind this place closes at 2:30pm each day. They sit you pretty quickly even when busy (normally that's Sunday around 11:30-1pm) Always great service and never have had a bad meal here. This location is very clean and has a friendly staff. Our Sunday morning breakfast was delicious! I had the pumpkin pancakes...really yummy but were not hot. Hot syrup helped to alleviate the temperature. We wanted to try this place for a while and decided to walk down for breakfast. We waited about 5-10 mins to be seated. The waiter took our order before the people sitting next to us (they had a different server). He vanished. The people next to us got their food. We waited and waited. Finally we got our food. Everything was cold. My pancake was almost impossible to cut. May try again. Hopefully we get a different server. Not a great first impression. My omelet and moms avocado toast is always hot, fast and comes with friendly service. Great go-to place for breakfast anytime. Can get pricy for breakfast though, Min $10 per person. Depending on when you go, parking is an absolute nightmare and we have passed this place up twice because there was nowhere to park. It's not that FW is always so crowded, it's that the parking lot is so terribly designed. The restaurant is clean, the staff is knowledgeable, and the food is good. DONT BE FOOLED. Looks nice on the outside and looks appealing online but food was subpar. French toast wasn't that good -- I couldn't even finish it. Waffle was alright too, the berry compote didn't taste fresh at all. Wouldn't recommend especially mediocre food at such high prices. Chickichanga was awesome. Hearty, fresh and lots of flavour. Side of seasoned potatoes and a small bit of fruit comes with it. Good value for the meal. Coffee was mediocre and overpriced at $2.89 a cup. I would go back. Service was prompt and friendly! read more

Tried to order online only to have it tell me they stopped accepting orders right when I am checking out. So we decide to drive and eat there. Put us on the waitlist and it says 30 mins. We had an 18 minute drive. Get there and they check us in only to tell us it will be another 30-45 minutes - when I asked why did it say 30 minutes, 20 minutes ago the girl at the front tells me that the kitchen is backed up. So we sit down and start waiting. There are 5 tables open so I get up and ask if they were not seating them because of Covid. They say no it's because the kitchen is backed up from all of the Togo orders! So I sat down again to wait. 15 more minutes go by and I ask again since 3 more tables open up and only 1 is sat. She then tells me again that the Togo orders are backing the kitchen up. Then I ask for the mgr and she says she's in the kitchen cooking because of all the Togo orders. Someone needs to make this restaurant understand that people standing in front of you deserve priority over their Togo business. What is wrong with these restaurants thinking this makes sense!?! I went to First Watch Sunday for breakfast. I go at least four times a month and have never had bad service but on Sunday we sat at our table for twelve minutes before even being acknowledged. Four tables were seated after us and had their drinks brought to them and orders taken before anyone even came to our table. Each of those four groups were four or more people. Our table was my husband and I. When we were finally acknowledged by the waitstaff and I said something we never even got an apology just an excuse. Not sure if I will go back there again. And will definitely tell others of my experience! read more

Unfortunately, they messed up our reservation that we made over 6 weeks ahead of time and had a confirmation. When the manager came out, she was EXTREMELY rude and condescending. No apology. Just sarcasm and a "I don't care about you" attitude. Then, they just pointed to a table and said: "if you want it, your table is over there.". I guess this is the definition of customer service. Too bad as it was a special anniversary for our parents (60 years). A very simple heart-felt apology would have sufficed. read more

I go to First Watch in Tampa frequently so I was excited to see there was a location right next to my new apartment in Largo. Unfortunately my experience at this location wasn't as enjoyable. Not because the food, the food is always good.. but the service wasn't even mediocre. After our server dropped off our food she never came back. We needed a refill on coffee, never got one. After we finished our breakfast we sat around looking for her for a good 15 minutes before we had to ask another server if she could find ours. Luckily that server asked if she could help and got us the bill. Our server didn't even bring us the bill, we never saw her again. I've never been disappointed at first watch for brunch. Really good food and courteous service. Latest on the menu is a Keylime waffle that is a seasonal item I'm told, and they're testing it to see if it should go national, so to speak. When I read the description of this waffle on the menu it sounded like it would be too sweet but I still decided to give it a try and wow it was amazing.! Not too sweet, Keylime gave it the perfect balance of tangy and sweet, and the toasted coconut flakes gave it some crunch. I highly recommend this waffle and hope it becomes a permanent item! read more

Great experience here. Staff is super friendly. Multiple service staff stop by to check on you, not just your one waiter/waitress. Food is excellent!!! Great choices and fairly unique. Food was great, but the staff couldn't seat a wedding party together on their wedding day, even though 1) there were dozens of seats coming available as we arrived, 2) they told us we could do it many times, and 3) we had 4 people call early this morning all explaining that this would be happening at 11 and they said no problem. Today was the wedding day, and the bride couldn't sit with her father she hadn't seen in months. Clusters were scattered throughout the restaurant nowhere near each other. Also, they fed the bride DEAD LAST out of all 24 of us. Dead last. And they knew she was the bride. It was nobody's fault individually, but there were legit 4 empty tables to the left of where I sat when we sat down on that super long booth on the opposite side of the register wall. I said, "are you guys gonna seat us all here?" And the waitress said probably. And then a host sat a completely different couple right next to us 2 minutes later. The the food was divine, and the waitress Chelsey was a saint and let the bride get very mad at her over this situation. But, yeah. For individual groups this would probably be a good spot. Don't try to have a party greater than 6 come here. Tips to fix this if I may: Reserving online didn't have a time slot option, it was just 15 minutes from this moment. Also, 6 was the maximum reservation. So for bigger parties you should put a note to call and handle it over the phone?Or just tell us it can't be done so we can go elsewhere. read more
