Breakfast Tacos

This location isn't busy all the time which I love. However, the food here is delicious and fresh. I thought the atmosphere was on point as well. The staff here no matter the location are always great. This is fresh food and I'm here for it!

Tacos al Pastor

First Watch is a great Mexican/American breakfast hybrid restaurant that I'll recommend to anyone on their way to work (or just looking for something on the weekend). I had the Tacos al Pastor and the Avocado Toast, and I'll routinely come back for the Tacos al Pastor. I love the homemade masa tortillas and potato hash topped with sliced avocados, shredded Cotija cheese, and pickled onions. They also have a juice bar, and while the Morning Meditation left me disappointed (all I tasted was orange juice, nothing else), the mix of lemon and lavender in their Purple Haze is enough for me to keep ordering more. I'm only keeping this review a 4/5, because upon my first visit, it was really cold inside the restaurant. I wanted to warm up with some hot coffee, but the coffee was served after I received my meal (in hindsight, I probably could ask for it to be served first). So I had to endure a while before I could warm up. In future visits, I'd rather just use the outdoor seating they have or just order takeout. Speaking of takeout, I'd prefer if I had the option to place my order over the phone instead of just using the website every time. It takes less time to order over the phone since it takes a while for me to enter in my credit card information at that time. But when I called their number on Yelp, the automated message system just told me to use their website. I'd rather swipe my card when I go to pick up my food so there's no need to enter in anything.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. The staff was absolutely amazing. All of them were very attentive. I tried to keep in mind that this was a cafe/diner. It wasn't really loud and there were a lot of families that were eating here which, to me is great. While I looked around I realized that a ton of people were eating waffles and did not order a waffle. Darn.... I ordered the chickichanga. While the meat had great flavor, it was a chicken/chorizo blend, it was lukewarm at best. The potatoes were very very good. Seasoned wonderfully and piping hot, which just drew more attention to the fact that the rest of my food was not. Maybe I should have ordered the waffle.

Chorizo omelet

The morning meditation, trifecta with waffle, chorizo omelet and banana pancake were realllly good. Overall I wish there was a little bit more bigger portions for the price but alll the food was great. The jams that came with the waffle and pancake were amazing.

This morning I had the opportunity to join my team members for breakfast at this location. It was my first time visiting a "First Watch" Overall, I give the restaurant a 4 out of 5 rating. I'm comparing it to similar restaurants. They do have a great menu selection. My table's favorites included the French Toast and the elevated breakfast sandwich! I enjoyed a delicious healthy avocado toast. Service was wonderful. Friendly seating host and wait staff. The coffee isn't freshly ground I'm somewhat of a coffee snob. Other than that, I'll definitely eat here again!

After getting my fountain drink, the meal arrived about 10 minutes later. The bowl had chuck roast on garlic mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy and a slice of artisan bread. The meat was as tender as meat can get....melt in your mouth level. With the delicious mashed potatoes and gravy, I thought it was perfect! As good tasting and tender as I have ever had (5). I returned a couple of days ago to try the Mediterranean chicken entree for $15.50. When it arrived in a bowl it had grilled chicken breast meat with artichokes and olives with alfredo sauce and garlic mashed potatoes. It also had spinach, crispy garlic and sun dried tomatoes. This meal was very good either way the smoothness of the alfredo sauce and garlic mashed potatoes contrasting the olives and sun dried tomatoes (4). Seating is inside and outside covered patio. I have enjoyed both visits and plan to return.

The place has a very antique, vintage vibe--lots of charming, random décor that makes it feel like a cozy hidden gem. I ordered a small turkey sandwich, which originally comes with just turkey, cheese, and mayo, but I asked for lettuce and all the extra fixings. They added everything just the way I wanted. I also got a cup of chicken and rice soup, chips, and it came with a cookie. My brother ordered a medium Ultimate BLT, the chicken tortilla soup, and a side salad. We also grabbed drinks--though options were limited to sweet tea, lemonade, or water. Altogether, the bill was around $40. Once we sat down, the staff brought our food out quickly. Service was great the whole time. The medium sandwich was huge--definitely explains the price point. The small sandwich was a good regular size, but if you're really hungry, go for a medium or even a large. My brother loved his meal (he's visiting from San Francisco, so that's saying something!). I personally didn't care too much for the chicken and rice soup, but everything else was solid. The salad came with ranch and was fresh. It never got overly crowded while we were there. They also sell frozen casseroles and other goodies, which is a nice bonus. Overall, it's a cute little spot with good food, generous portions on the sandwiches, and friendly service. Worth a visit if you're in the
