There are various First Watch locations within the metro area, out of all of them, this location is my favorite. Nestled within a quiet plaza, this location doesn't seem to be as heavily crowded compared to the others. The interior is modern yet also very welcoming and warm in terms of atmosphere. I also find the food here to be a step better than the other locations as well. This is a solid First Watch location and should definitely be a first choice as well. read more

The food is delicious however the last several times I've been there the service has been absolutely horrible. We were seated and a couple in line after us were seated. Our waitress talked for 15 minutes to another customer and then it was another 10 minutes before she came up and asked us what we wanted to drink. We waited another 8 minutes before she brought out coffee. We waited another 30 minutes for our food. Meanwhile the couple that came in after us had already eaten their food and left. I went again with a friend and my food arrived 20 minutes after my friend's food arrived. My friend had already eaten all her food before My food came out. No reason was given as to why my eggs Benedict and ham took so long to get to me. I just kept being told my food was on the way. Once again others who came in after us we're delivered their food before my food came out. I understand wait staff is hard to find because of Covid. However this is the 2nd time I've had to wait so long for food and watch others get theirs quickly. At no time should there be no wait staff on the floor and this happened often. I don't know if service is crap because of covid or if the waitstaff is just spending too much time talking in the kitchen. Just highly disappointed. read more

First Watch Hoover is (usually) one of my favorite brunch places! They have lots of delicious healthy options, and the not so healthy Belgian waffle and bacon are fantastic. A few months ago and then again today are hopefully exceptions and not the new normal. I was craving the waffle so I came, alone, at 11:30am on a Sunday. I don't eat gluten because of an allergy but the waffle is so good, and it's been so long since I had it, I was willing to suffer the rest of today, and brave the Sunday morning crowd, to have it. Cut to 20min later and I find out they are out of waffles! The server offered French toast or a pancake instead, which was the right thing to do, but come on. Out of waffles at 11:30? The service has been sporadic, at best, and the food was cold, tasted great, but cold and this is similar to a few months ago. I've been here alone, two times now, and am finding service for the single gal is quite different than when I've come with others. Hopefully, my next visit will will be the old normal. read more

We came here for brunch on Sunday morning and had a great time! Our server, April was the highlight. Despite the restaurant being very busy, she took the effort to remember our names, and talk and joke with us. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the pumpkin donuts as an app. The million dollar bacon was a huge hit as well. I had The Floridian French toast which was loaded with fresh bananas, strawberries and kiwi. The atmosphere is calm and casual and it is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a healthy meal. However they do have some sweeter options like French toast and waffles. I have personally had the AM Superfoods Bowl and the French toast. The superfoods bowl was something I wasn't sure about trying, but I'm so glad I did. It is now one of my all time breakfast meals. I even tried to make it at home - not the same haha. The fruit is super fresh and the granola and chia seeds give it the perfect added crunch. It is also served with their amazing toast covered in peanut butter/almond butter. The French toast is amazing for a sweeter option. It has a delicious taste and is cooked to perfection. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on their menu. The biscuits and gravy, eggs benedict, traditional breakfast, it's all amazing! I have had a taste of each from a family members plate. I've been dying to come to First Watch and we decided Christmas Eve brunch sounded like the perfect way to start off our day. I ordered the pork belly bacon and grits while my husband got the club for us to split, and my daughter rounded us off with French toast. We had coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice to drink. To say the food was great, is an understatement. It was amazing. We all shared bites and laughed together. It was an awesome experience. The waitstaff was incredibly friendly and constantly check on us consistently. We all agreed that we will be back on a regular basis! Lord have mercy. We have been coming here for Sunday morning breakfast after church for 2 months now. Each visit something else happened to make our time less and less enjoyable, and the last visit was the icing on the cake- the kind that looks like vanilla but tastes like mayonnaise. We waited for 30 minutes to get a table after being told 20. We sat down and after ordering waited an hour and a half for our food. It was not hot, not cooked correctly for some of our guests, but we were starving and couldn't handle waiting any longer. Our drinks remained empty on multiple occasions and our waitress began avoiding us when she realized we were getting antsy. After everything though she did bring everyone coupons for free meals and did not charge us! That's what makes this 3 stars- because even though it was a nightmare, I woke up from it. So who wants my coupon? (Kidding) I'm going to update this every time we go. Today (12/2/18) we decided to use our entitlement- I mean coupon- and had another interesting experience. We waited about 5 minutes to be greeted and we wanted to order our food but our waiter came by the table talking so fast and started walking away before we could even tell him our drinks- he was literally behind us and I had to turn around to say "Diet Coke please." It took a normal amount of time to get our food once we did get to order and he brought extra preserves like I asked. The payment process was normal as well. read more

I met a friend for brunch here yesterday. The restaurant was extremely busy but the atmosphere was great and the staff was very friendly while turning tables fairly quickly. I had the pumpkin pancake breakfast, which came with two eggs and a chicken sausage patty as well as a large pumpkin pancake. I drank coffee and it was good. My pancake was so delicious that I didn't want to spoil the flavor with maple syrup. The eggs were fine and the sausage was savory. My friend ate a frittata and it was delicious as well. We had a really nice time and stayed a long time catching up on the past 30 years. Nobody bothered us or gave us the impression they were anxious for us to leave. We were looking for Egg & I and were pleasantly surprised to find the now First Watch. We came on a Monday morning so it's not busy at all and our waiter is really nice and friendly. Love our breakfast - I had the seasonal cinnamon pancake and it was delicious! Hubby had the breakfast taco with chicken chorizo and avocado and that was REALLY YUMMY! I came here with some friends for Saturday brunch. It was super crowded. There was barely room inside the restaurant to stand and wait. The wait was about an hour long. They do offer some complimentary coffee in the front while you wait, so that was nice. They take your phone number, so you're free to walk around the shopping center if you so choose. Once your table is ready, they'll send a text. I ordered the chickichanga. They messed up my order, so it took a while for my food to come out. Due to this, my meal was free. Great customer service I must say! The servers were so nice. The chickichanga, however, I wasn't too pleased with. Despite the long wait, it was still semi-cold. This particular time, instructions to have certain items on the side were ignored, sauce was missing, and despite the fact that we were there to pick up the food before it had come out of the kitchen, all the food that was suppose to be warm was cold. And I don't mean like, room temperature cold, but almost as if it had been cooked and then put into the walk-in cooler for a little while? Which doesn't make any sense, since we had arrived to pick it up at exactly the time the food was suppose to come out. When I asked for them to fix the order they said they were out of some items and instead of telling us ahead of time they tried to give us our order without those items. Won't be back for a 3rd chance! As stated in my original review. The food arrived cold and bland. The customer service manager sent me " on the house" gift card to try the Resturant again. In hopes that maybe I was just biased and missed the Egg and I, we decided to give it another try today. Sadly there were no improvements. I decided to try another menu item since the eggs Benedict that I had on the last visit was Awful. I ordered the omelette sausage , bacon and ham omelette, a side of potatoes and an English muffin. . Unfortunately that was not good either ( please take those potatoes off the menus). The staff that I was used too was still there but the quality of food paled in comparison. I really enjoyed brunch here, and give my total experience here 5 stars. While this place does not take reservations, I love that you can join the wait list on the Yelp app, this allows me to see what the wait time is and get updates when I am next to be seated! Even though the place was busy, the Sunday brunch team worked quickly and we had a short wait before our server came to greet us and our food was served. We had the avocado toast which was good, the toast was thick and the avocado piled and I enjoyed my basted egg on the side but there was some flavor lacking and I would have liked more on my plate for the price. The atmosphere was chill and not too loud, so a great place to relax and have a conversation if you wanted to stay a while. They have a new adjunct to the regular menu that features some intriguing breakfast food and drink, so I will def be back to try them! read more

When traveling we try to search out local joints. First Watch is part of a small chain but from what I can see, they really try to be local focused and use fresh, healthy ingredients. On our visit, we were seated quickly and our coffee was hot and fresh. On this Sunday morning though, the restaurant filled up so quickly that service sagged a bit. When our food arrived, it tasted great but wasn't as hot as we would have liked but because of how busy they were, we enjoyed it as it. As we were paying our bill, we were asked how everything was and when we mentioned our concern, he immediately insisted on giving us a discount on our check. It wasn't really needed, but appreciated. Loved that our input was asked for and sincere concern addressed the issue. I'd eat here again as the menu has a great variety of healthy options not available in most breakfast places. read more

The good : best waffle I've had in a long time ... crisp and fluffy with a really good berry preserves served with it. I visited a location while in Panama City and loved it. This is the first chance I've had to visit a location at home. I wasn't disappointed. We arrived early, which was great because we were able to be seated immediately. Our server was very nice and gave honest opinions about the menu. I ordered the Trifecta with chicken sausage and a side of cheese grits. Everything was yummy and prepared the way I requested. The portions were large and I was full when I finished, but not stuffed. When I first saw the menu, I wasn't so sure. Thankfully, iHop had a long wait so we came to First Watch. Thank God iHop had a long line! First Watch was absolutely incredible. My husband and I both had the iced coffee and it was honestly the best I've ever had. My husband ordered the short rib omelette and I ordered the chickichanga. Both meals were so packed with flavor, perfectly portioned and so incredibly good, I was scraping the sauce off my plate.
