We're not sure where the delay occurred--whether it was the kitchen, staffing, or something else--but between waiting for a table and then waiting for our food, the entire process felt excessively long. The good news is that the food itself was really good. My husband ordered the burnt ends egg dish, and I had the praline pancakes, which were excellent. We also ordered sausage as a side, and that was great as well. We had no complaints about the quality of the food. Would we come back? Maybe. If we did, we would probably try to arrive before 8 a.m. or after the main breakfast rush. The restaurant is fairly small, and based on our experience, it seemed to struggle with getting guests seated and served efficiently during a busy period. Plenty of busy breakfast restaurants and diners manage to turn tables and get food out quickly, so I think The Hershey Pantry could really benefit from looking at its service and kitchen workflow during peak hours.
