First Watch was one of our favorite places to go for breakfast. Been going every weekend for the past couple of years. Went this morning, looking forward to a delicious Power Wrap, only to discover it had been taken off the menu, along with several other favorites. We got up and left. Cutting your menu down to a few "most popular" options is a big mistake. read more

We had a very long wait one Saturday morning for breakfast. Fortunately when we were finally seated, everything was delightful. Our waitress was friendly and funny. Loved how we get our own coffee at the table. No waiting for top offs. Love the little things. Even though they were super busy, once you got inside the restaurant, things were calm. Nice breakfast spot. read more

Very efficient, delicious with an interesting menu. Farmhouse Hash and Chimichurri steak & eggs fab. But the star was the blueberry lemon cornbread. Huge and real comfort food. Bigger than it looks on the menu. Easily feeds two or three. read more

This place is great, especially in a food desert of unhealthy fast food chains. The somewhat healthy fare is such a pleasant change and the quality quite good. This is a large national chain, yet it feels local and pleasant, not totally corporate; although it is in a strip mall type building and location. Came here for lunch and the choices were good. I opted for a "market veggie sandwich" with a side salad, and my better half went with a "Chickachanga", which is a type of small burrito wrap or egg omelet filled with chicken and other goodies and a sauce on top. I got the Kale tonic that was fabulous and so refreshing. It's green and kind of sounds unappealing, but quite the opposite. Loved it. My other half had the Tropical Sunrise, equally good The food is well prepared, fresh and very delectable. Everything was spot on good, and the service very friendly. So what lacked to remove a star? I'd say that portions are not huge for the price, compared to other places in the area, so some may be offputt by it, but yet adequate and, again, a healthy portion. read more

Waitress scent while pleasant, overpowered taste of food. THE WORKS omelet served cold, toast was cold, greens instead of potatoes. The potatoes brought when asked. Used to be go to place, waitress training needed. read more

First time customer. Nice interior, friendly service. Good food. What's left to say, (?) other than I'll be back.

Came for brunch and it was crowded on a weekday. The restaurant was busy. I was pleasantly surprised but knew it was a good sign. We ordered French toast, breakfast tacos, the skillet hash, and turkey bacon sandwich. Everything was delicious and came so quickly. Our server was very attentive! read more

I've eaten here a few times. Some things are a miss, but for the most part everything tastes great. I personally love the elevated egg sandwich with bacon, Gruyère cheese, avocado, mayo, & lemon-dressed arugula. The combination has a fresh taste & elevates a basic egg sandwich. It has a light taste to it, and tastes very fresh. It does come with country potatoes which are basic country potatoes. They also have this great seasonal lavender tea & lemonade which was so good. They have the best seasonal drinks. read more

Wanted to try something different. Glad we did. The food was excellent, and our server, Justin, was very accommodating. Very neat, clean, and charming inside. The steel cut oatmeal was delicious! The only downfall was being sat next to the window with the sun beating in. The shades did not help. read more

Sat at the bar and two servers walked by and said nothing. I sat there with no menu or anything. A guy sits down after me and the server walks past me to wait on him, never even acknowledging I was there. Won't be back horrible service. read more

We've been here so many times. Surprised that I didn't have this rated yet. Service is almost always lovely. Sometimes there is a wait but their app helps. I like to think of this place as a bit upscale. Not sure I've ever had something I didn't enjoy. Today is a repeat of the sweet pecan salad. read more

Food and service is nice and responsive, I love this place it has some good food options and prices aren't too bad. My only complaint which might be petty to some is when you're sitting outside when a table has just left. The damn birds come dive bombing for the scraps it's disgusting! And I've seen waiters just ignore it. I understand that they have no control over it but at least shush them away or something instead they just feast and makes me not want to eat outside. Put a damn owl statue outside or something read more

Love my breakfast that i get here! It's always simple yet flavorful and quick on service. Can't wait for the one in surprise to be open

Long wait for a Sunday is the only downside. Went for brunch and had a 45 minute wait. The millionaire bacon is ok but prefer regular bacon. An all round great American breakfast. Plus is that the wait is done via text message so you don't have to hang around waiting. read more

First time at this particular location. Sat at the bar aka the community table, in the center of the room. They have some great spring specials going on right now. My friend and I decided on sharing so we ordered the banana foster French toast and the lemon ricotta pancakes. The French toast is what you expect sliced bananas and a caramel like syrup. The pancakes were much more impressive and had a wonderfully decadent texture. The lemon curd and strawberries were a nice complement to the texture and flavors. To be completely honest, I even put maple syrup on top of the pancakes and I was missing butter... Really great carb loaded breakfast. read more

My goodness this place is delicious! I had to find out what all the hype was about. I met up with a friend for brunch at First Watch this past weekend. I recommend getting in line on their website to reduce the amount of time you have to wait. Do know that even then you'll still wait about 30 min after checking in, but it's well worth the wait. I was truly impressed with the service. Our waitress was incredibly nice and bubbly. She was very attentive and made our experience even more amazing. I ordered the traditional breakfast with chicken sausage, my friend the elevated egg sandwich and we shared the million dollar bacon. Everything was amazing. Made with fresh wholesome ingredients, packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. We also tried their new watermelon wake up drink. My oh my! It's incredibly refreshing. From the customer service, to the food, and the atmosphere... this place is well worth the wait. read more

Okay; here is why I say talk to management! It didn't start out so great and wasn't anybody's fault! The first plate the food temp was off! The waitress had the plate made over and brought it out as soon as it was in the window. The scrambled egg still seemed not so hot, the pancake was still seemed just warm. The main dining was literally cold. I think just the movement through the cold air cooled the egg and pancake! Got to the center of the egg and it was hot! The pancake was Hugh and I think smaller and a second one would have kept the heat better. Anyway the meal was good overall and will be back. The waitress and the Manager were stellar. They earned their 5 stars because of their efforts to satisfy the Customer! I will say I'm going with the pork next time. Not that the chicken sausage wasn't tasty, just not my taste! They finally got the heat going and the environment became a bit more comfortable. Give them a try if you're in the area! read more

Stopped in while the wife had other plans, was able to get in right away at the community table. Enjoyed some conversation with some other people and a great experience with friendly staff and excellent breakfast. I had the "Bacado" omelette and it did not disappoint. I have tried a few First Watch locations. I always regret having not gone elsewhere. Having been a few years since visiting a First Watch, and the promise of pumpkin pancakes, I was excited to give them another try. Pumpkin pancake came with two eggs any style and chicken sausage. Pancake was dense and dry. Sausage was also dry. Sausage was so dry that it was hard to cut. My husband ordered the brisket hash. He said that his brisket was dry, too. Food did take a long time to come out. It made me wonder if the majority of the food was sitting there drying out while the eggs were being cooked. Both of our eggs were cooked properly. The hostesses/cashier was welcoming. Table service on the other hand was not. No real greating. From there, things were slow and awkward. She did not come check on us until we were practically done eating. The table itself wasn't really clean. More negatives than positives. I won't be back. read more

Thank you Morgan! Morgan provided us with excellent service and compassion (I'll get to that later). The ambiance is comfortable and pleasing. Not too crowded or over decorated. It's welcoming. My husband ordered a half sandwich and salad. He said it was one of the freshest and flavorful tasting meals he's had at a restaurant in a very long time. He appreciated the value of the meal too based on price and amount of food on his plate. He wants to go back! I had the traditional breakfast and it was cooked to perfection. My over medium eggs were perfect as was the burnt bacon i had requested. The potatoes had that perfect crunch with tender insides. Very flavorful. The Bloody Mary was flavorful and spicy. The bacon that came with it was candied and not my favorite as i would have preferred regular bacon but I'd definitely order it again. Forgot to mention how quickly the food came out after ordering and it was all appropriately hot. Now to Morgan ... She had asked how our day had gone so far and when we told her "Not so good. We had to put our cat down." She felt horrible and thought she had stuck her foot in her mouth. At the end of the meal she asked about the plans we had for the rest of the day and picked up the credit card I had laid out and handed it back to me and said,"You won't be needing this today. There is no charge." It appeared she had the start of some tears in her eyes that began to match my own set of tears. She showed total compassion in our situation and that I'm truly grateful for! Thank you Morgan. We will be back! read more

I had family in town this weekend and I wanted to take them somewhere special for breakfast so I fired up my trusty Yelp app and searched away. There's several good choices in the PHX Metro area but came across First Watch and am very very thankful that I did because their food is AMAZING. Our party tried several items from the new Fall 2022 menu. The Pomegranate Pear Punch drink, Brisket Corned Beef Hash and Caramel crunch cinnamon roll. We also had the chickichanaga, purple haze drink, kale tunic drink and the banana pancakes from the main menu. Everyone was ranting and raving about their food and drinks. This is definitely a new favorite breakfast spot for us. The service was amazing as well. Our server Debra was so friendly, gave wonderful recommendations and was very attentive. I look forward to seeing her again. The best part of it all was the price. It was only $120 for 6 of us including one meal person person, a speciality drink per person and one large cinnamon roll. That's a killer deal at ~$20 a person. read more

First few mins of us sitting down , we got two glasses of water and my glass ended up having food left on the inside of the cup. We ordered our food since it was our first time there and was shocked that there weren't as many options as we hoped.. we picked our items I got a waffle and my dad got an omelette. We got our food and everything was cold! Super disappointing. Potatoes were almost burnt and too crunchy and SUPER cold. Don't think we will be coming back here again.. read more

I don't understand why it's so difficult to find a good breakfast place! Regardless of which place you try in this chain restaurant, there's never a hostess at the 'please wait to be seated' entrance leaving you standing there awkwardly until one of the staff has time for you. There was a lady in front of me that a staff member seated, and then went on to other things rather than seat me next. I grabbed the booth next to the person just seated and made a point to be friendly and thankful when the waitress got to me to avoid retaliation. I ordered the Italian omelette with 'crisp' potatoes, whole grain toast. When it arrived, the person who served my plate set it down in front of me like she was throwing her car keys, like I do when coming in my front door, while never acknowledging my presence as an actual living, breathing human. No eye contact, no verbal interaction...nothing! Just a plate of food chunked on my table. The potatoes were the left over, over cooked, salt lick rocks they wouldn't normally serve unless some unwitting soul asked for them to be 'crisp'. Completely inedible. Then there was the omelette; Italian sausage, cheese, sun dried tomatoes, and diced tomatoes. It was average at best. The sun dried tomatoes were a pile in the middle and left whole instead of being chopped making them way too overpowering in a single fork cut bite. Lastly is the toast and jam. When it was buttered, it was so cold it didn't melt on the stale, dry bread. The 'jam' had been put in a little container you would get for salsa so many hours before, that it formed a viscous, slimy layer on top. If you have a go to place for breakfast, please let me know. I can't seem to find one. read more

This place is fairly popular. They told us our wait would be 15 minutes but it took 30 minutes instead. Our table also wasn't clean and was sticky by the time we got there. I got myself a Tri fecta and a seasonal Watermelon Wakeup drink. The Tri Fecta allows gives you some choices such as a waffle or pancake; and sausage links or bacon. I ended up getting the Belgium waffle and bacon with my order. The ingredients just taste so delicious. I wouldn't recommend the Watermelon drink though. Although I found it to be above average, the description hinted that it would be a watermelon drink with a hint of lemon. It tasted more like it was half watermelon and half lemon. read more

First Watch - Trifecta meal - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Glendale, Arizona

It's a modern "farm to table" philosophy type restaurant and it was my favorite breakfast in the Phoenix area. It's a small chain in the Phoenix area and I like what they're trying to do.(I think there's eight restaurants.) This restaurant is conveniently located off a main highway. It's inside a shopping center area. Enough parking so that should be an issue but the lot can fill up. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. This restaurant has high ceilings and open space. They have lots of wonderful breakfast, lunch or brunch fair. They try to emphasize healthy food. They do juicing and have some healthy type juices. And they have some special twists on classical breakfast from eggs to pancakes to waffles and of course bacon. They also have breakfast burritos, salads and sandwiches. They're really trying to appeal to a modern young customer with fresh items and things like avocado toast, super food bowls, steel cut oatmeal, breakfast for athletes, and traditional stuff like, four types of Eggs Benedict, four kinds of hash, six different types of omelets, All of them have some interesting twists. They also have pancakes and waffles which also have some interesting aspects too. They have a variety of healthy salads and sandwiches as well. They don't say exactly where their goods come from that'd be one minor criticism I would have of them to actually list where farms they get their goods from especially their meat, It will take there restaurants up to a different level. Even if was a list of local farms, and organic suppliers. I enjoyed their Tri-fecta breakfast dish while I was there. It's just big enough for a person of a certain age. It's 2 cage-free eggs any style (I had scrambled, which they spiced up with fresh seasonings,)your choice of bacon smoked ham, savory chicken sausage patties or turkey or pork sausage links, (of course I had to have the bacon). You get your choice of either a Belgian waffle or a multi grain pancake. It's really a humongous pancake I don't know how anybody could eat 2 of them. I wanted to try something different I'm sure the waffle is good and I looked at what is normally offered with the pancake and I asked if I could have the lemon ricotta topping with strawberries and the waitress accommodated me, normally the trifecta does not have that. The lemon Ricotta with the fresh strawberries over the pancake was wonderful. I had a little of the Maple syrup as well. It was perfect portions for a person of a certain age. There are plenty of other dishes that I could imagine trying to working my way through. The food was well prepared hot and delicious. I always like to mention the bathrooms, they were clean and well stocked. The staff member who waited on us was wonderful she did a great job. Like I said my only criticism is being open about their food sources. It could be a selling point that further differentiates their restaurant.. All in all it was a fun place, with great food and good staff and I would recommend it. read more
