We live very close to this restaurant but never try it before because we just don't like the look from the outside until an Uber driver told me that this restaurant is very popular in Florida (where he comes from) and the breakfast is super. So one day, after flying red eye from San Francisco back home, my husband asked me to try this place to have breakfast. To our surprise, the inside of this restaurant is very nice (like the interior), the greeters, the servers, they are all are very nice, and the food too. I also like the drink from their fresh juice bar. I had Salmon Benedict and my husband had French Toast. The next day, we came back with our son, he liked the pancake and the juice. We were glad we tried this place and found a new breakfast place so close to our house read more

Great spot to grab some brunch with company, great service and food selection! our server Meti was very sweet and fast. Highly recommend!

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I very much like the atmosphere and the selection on the menu, which includes many healthy options. Unfortunately, I was not pleased with my menu selection. I ordered the Salmon Eggs Benedict. The most glaring error is that the eggs were not poached properly...the yokes being firm, almost like a hard-boiled egg. There was very little Hollandaise sauce, so the dish was very dry. The serving of smoked salmon was also quite skimpy. Coffee and water were quite good. I'd consider returning, but doubt that I would order an egg dish. read more

Love the food but...it took 45 minutes to get it. This is the norm for this spot. I know it's busy, but it should not take this long for breakfast. read more

I will not be going back. This place has potential but seriously missed the mark. I've been here before but didn't stay because the wait was too long. The wait was 30 mins this time and we got called in 25 mins. Waitress took a while to come. Glasses were dirty asked for others and they came timely. Had to get my own silverware because waitress was either slow or overwhelmed. I had to get three sets of utensils (on my own) before getting a decent set. Food was not hot when it came out and the cashier had issues with the POS and was not friendly. Food presentation was lacking. I was thinking about Barking Mad Cafe while eating. read more

I love First Watch, everything is so good and fresh. I'm not a big hearty eater so my favorites are the avocado toast, their power bowl option (the coconut in that is to die for!), their in house juices! You can't go wrong with this place. read more

This place is amazing!!!! Everyone should come here. The food come hot and tasty! The service was excellent and our waitress's name was Amanda Z. Ask for her when u come she will take excellent care of you. I had the bacon and avocado hash! It's a must! read more

First Watch! I have been to the Rockville and Laurel locations. Muddy Branch is much nicer in my opinion. Aesthetically pleasing once you approach the establishment inside and out. My boyfriend and I loved this place. The host got us our desired booth upon entering, drinks came fast and our server remembered our entire order with no problems. (We made modifications and side orders so I was quite impressed.) Food came fairly quick, tasted great! No complaints! TRY THEIR FRESHLY SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE, IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!! I SWEAR. My boyfriend also swears on their hot chocolate as well! WE WILL BE BACK! LOVED OUR SERVER AND OVERALL BRUNCH EXPERIENCE!! Reasonably priced as well! read more

So we get there around 11am and we were told that the wait was around 40 to 45 minutes, no problem, we knew it is the busy breakfast time so we were expecting a long wait. So instead of waiting for a table, we decided to get our food to go, we were told that was going to take around 15 to 20 minutes. So while we waited for our food, everyone before us was seated, also 3 groups of people who came after us were seated, so much for a 40 minute wait. Then after about 25 minutes of waiting I asked the person who took our order if it was ready, and of course it was, it had been hanging on the wall for 10 minutes and he didn't tell us, even though we were sitting right in front of the register the whole time. So of course we were upset. We asked him to make sure the order was ok, he said it was, so we paid and left. And to add insult to injury, when we get home we realized that one of our orders was wrong. Seriously, this place is not what it used to be. Not going back there anymore. read more

Based on one lunch here, I would definitely return. The food is fantastic. On Sunday's, they are open 7AM-2:30PM and the wait can get pretty long - usually about an hour. Your best bet is to download the app, put your name down for a table, and they will let you know when it's ready. The ambience is casual and comforting. I loved the chalkboards and wooden tables. The menu is decently sized with something for everyone, including vegetarians and vegans. The iced coffee is very popular although be wary that there is no option to swap out the milk for a non-dairy alternative. You can get cold brew and add your own Silk creamer, but it is definitely not the same. The food here is the best part in my opinion. I ordered the veggie burger and it was delicious. It was huge and piled high with fresh guacamole, red onion, tomato, and greens. The turkey omelette with home fries also got rave reviews among my party. Service was very quick and efficient. The servers are all super friendly. Best of all, the menu items are affordable, unlike many other popular brunch places. Our bill for three coffees and two large entrees came to less than $24, which is awesome. I will certainly return to try more of the vegan options (I saw a chia pudding that caught my eye) and juices. Highly recommend! read more

Excellent customer service and Yummee chia breakfast bowl. I highly recommend! Nice and peaceful atmosphere

So, I came back again to give it another shot. This time, the food was better... But the service was absolutely atrocious. We were seated in a position to be able to see inside of the food prep area where they have both their 10 Commandments and a few other statements about taking good care of their customers. Quite literally none of those things happened for us. Additionally, there were a couple of women seated a couple tables away from us who chose to remove their shoes and sit Indian style on the chairs. Not only was it off putting while we were eating, but their waitress approach their table many times, looked at it... and even pointed out to another server that the women were in bare feet. Besides being a health code violation, I don't need to look at somebody else's feet while I am eating. This place is about the worst with regard to cleanliness, and it appears that each of their associates doesn't particularly care to make it a better place. To be fair, I was offered free meal by a manager based on my prior review which I did not opt to except. I didn't post what I posted because I wanted free food out of it, I posted what I posted because it is a fair and accurate review. read more

First Watch - Bare feet at First Watch - Cafes Near Me - Gaithersburg, Maryland

First Watch was a spontaneous breakfast with my family. We were surprised with how great the service is even when they're busy.

This is our second time here at this first watch location and their service is okay, was pretty slow both times, one time super busy and the second time restaurant was only half full. Our waitress today was extremely friendly. The food is good but does not come out warm, luke warm at best. Had the iced coffee which was good and fiancé had the morning mediation which was good as well. He had the power grain bowl and I had the avacado toast and banana pancake. The avacado toast was great the 2 over easy eggs were inconsistently cooked one with runny yolk, one not runny at all. Pancake was yummy! The fiancés grain bowl was okay, he said the grains were not fully cooked and still pretty crunchy and his had poached eggs. Again, inconsistently cooked, one egg slightly runny the other one was super over cooked almost the consistency of a hard boiled egg. Overall, food taste wise is good just doesn't seem to come out as soon as it's ready and service is slow. Will definitely give the location at Rockville town center a try. read more

Went their on Saturday March 31, 2018 was told 30 mins, decided to wait. 35 mins later went and asked how much longer and was told we were looking at 45 to 60 mins. How can this be. Watched people coming in and apologizing for not siging up online but was their anything they could do to expedite them. Low and behold they got a seat right away. Needless to say we went to Bontenaro which was awesome. read more

This was one of my top breakfast restaurants until the service I received today, I ordered it took about 45 mins for my food to come. When I asked my server, "about how long for the food?" His reply was soon.... when my food finally came it was cold! I asked to speak to the manager stating the time that the food took to cook and his reply was, "i try to get them to hurry in the kitchen." Then he said," do you want me to heat it up for you?" I replied, No. That was it, he didn't even ask to replace it with fresh food or anything and I thought First watch was supposed to pride themselves on having fresh food. I will not be back to this location and I live right across the street. Good customers service is important! read more

The place was packed! But, given how smooth and slick the Yelp waitlist app was, it made waiting easier. The food and coffee were awesome. Great experience. read more

One of my favorite breakfast/brunch places. Definitely use Yelp or the First Watch app to get on the waitlist to sneak ahead of everyone in line. There is usually a wait. Other option is to roll in towards 2:30pm when they close and there is rarely a line and they won't close on you. Try the Chile chorizo omelette and the Chicki-changa! #TheFeels read more

Booth uncomfortable and cramped. We were given 2 water glasses and had to wait 15 min for the other 3 and didn't even get to enjoy coffee because all the creamers were covered in syrup. Half the table got food and the other half had to wait. Server was unapologetic and dismissive and we were polite through the whole meal. The upside: The food, though lukewarm was still very good. I won't be coming to this location again. read more

My family and I came across this place by recommendation from someone. So come to find out, I live 10 min from the location in Fairfax!!! Yeah for me. So we walked in a was immediately created and seated. I had the eggs, turkey sausage, waffle and seasoned potatoes. My eggs were so fresh. Cooked to perfection. My potatoes were tasteful and seasoned. The waffle I had was fluffy and had some preserves on the side. I absolutely love waffles. I had a green kale drink. My little six month old baby was just licking my straw with delight. The drink had kale, cucumber, lemon and ginger. It was so fresh and healthy. The prices were reasonable and I was definitely satisfied after we finished eating. Our waiter was kind, attentive and patient with us since it was our first time. I had a great time! We will definitely be back! read more

The restaurant seating arrangement is simple but nice. Some bench seats but mostly open tables that have a real community or family dining like feel. It was a busy Sunday morning and we found the waiting staff was attentive enough once we were seated. My dining cohorts had all been to First Watch before so I was the newbie of the bunch. The menu was somewhat extensive and definitely provided a good selection for health conscience folks. The portions were small especially for a healthy but big eater like myself. On the other hand prices were reasonable as we paid somewhere around $9.00 per person including tax. Given the fact I was hungry again a couple hours later I probably should have added a couple sides or doubled up on the veggie egg white omelet. First Watch provides a nice alternative to the other breakfast restaurants and the prices are really good. The portions are small but you could always add to your order for additional cost. The food taste good not great but definitely worth trying for yourself if you are looking for a lite healthy breakfast. read more

I was at First Watch today and ordered the power wrap When asked by both the server and manager I told them the wrap was either old or over cooked The manager said to the cashier we will take care of this a gave me a whole $2 off for this crappy meal!! Needed brunch on Saturday after DMV visit. This place was incredible. Flank steak and egg hash (potatoes, spinach, mozzarella onion, mushroom with parmesan cream) was first rate. Guest has carrot cake pecan pancakes that were terrific. Best of all we're homemade fresh warm donut holes with sauces. What a find and great juices and coffee! read more

This was the place to be on January 1 as everyone in the vicinity tries to recover from over-indulging the night prior. The hour-long wait was understandable, but service was painfully slow once we were seated. Even though tables were emptying out at the end of the brunch rush, it was near impossible to find our waitress to let her know about the overdone steak that was supposed to be medium rare. Aside from the more-viscous-than-maple-syrup service, most of what we ordered-- steak & eggs, omelet, zee waffle/eggs/bacon-- was good and I actually finished all the food on my plate for once. read more

Love this place! We often come here for brunches over weekend. If you use their First Watch app, it can save sometime for you. Usually it's 15-30 mins wait time. My go to orders are Avocado toast, French toast or morning market omelette along with some coffee. The service is tremendous and pretty flexible if you want to customize your dishes. The food is also very fresh and love their artisan bread. Keep up the good work! read more

A place that specializes in breakfast, how could you go wrong? We went here after my hubby's dr. appointment and luckily it wasn't too crowded for a holiday! Service was good and the coffee and water was flowing. It had a good laid back vibe. I like how they had a good mix of healthy options (egg white omelette for the hubby) and not-so-healthy options (blueberry pancakes for me!) so there is something that would suit all tastebuds! read more

I don't usually write reviews often but their food makes me do it. Food is very fresh and tasty without giving any alterations suggestion to the server. Will definitely recommend to the vegetarians. Ordered soup and sandwich combo- great food, presentation, good service read more

I went to the Muddy Branch Road First Watch at lunch on Friday with two of my colleagues. We like places that are friendly, serve good food for a good price and are efficient. We have one hour to spare. After being seated for more than 10 minutes I approached a manager and informed him that no one had stopped by to greet us or take our order. Immediately thereafter, our waiter arrived. - o.k. After 24 minutes of placing our order, our food arrived. My friend had ordered the Tri-Fecta, which includes a pancake. He had to ask for syrup. Notwithstanding the silliness of asking for syrup for his pancake, he enjoyed his food. My other friend enjoyed his Beefeater sandwich. I ordered the Acapulco Express omelet, which was unremarkable - just bland. The salsa that accompanied the omelet had an overpowering flavor of something, olives perhaps. I asked for butter for my English muffin and was told by my waiter that it "has butter." Indeed, a small portion of one slice of the barely toasted muffin had a thin coat of butter. He did bring butter after a second request. The seasoned potatoes were bland, dry and over cooked - some were charred black. The bottom line: Food - mixed reviews. Price - good. Service - sketchy. Efficiency - fail. As the restaurant was only half full when we arrived, we found it unacceptable to wait for a waiter, and even more unacceptable to wait 20+ minutes for our food. We ordered a sandwich, pancakes and an omelet; how long should that take? As working professionals, we only have a limited period of time to spend at lunch so we need an efficient restaurant to serve us good food in a timely fashion. We are not picky eaters and eat out on a regular basis. Restaurants that have good and efficient service and good food for reasonable price get our return business. It will be a long time before we try First Watch again - we'll wait to hear what our other colleagues, friends and Yelp-sters have to say. read more

This place was awesome. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. Had brunch here with my family and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. My only complaint was that the hash brown potatoes seemed a little underdone. My sister's were also underdone, so it just might be how they do it. They didn't taste bad, just not exactly what I expected. Definitely a cozy atmosphere, with pleasant staff, and yummy food. read more

Just moved to the area and googled breakfast spots and this popped up, had great reviews so I gave it a shot. It was really crowded and there was definitely a wait. Long wait but the food was worth it! Not sure why the low ratings, but glad I got a recommendation to eat here. The avocado toast with the fried egg on top was amazing (my first time ever trying avocado toast - I see why it is popular). Also got the Bacado (bacon and avocado omelet) which was also a great set of flavors with a little sour cream and pico de gallo on top). Will definitely come back, but be sure to join the wait list online before you go. read more

First the wait was 1hr.... I can live with that... once we were seated it took 26 minutes for the server to come and even get drinks order. Another 30 minutes for the food to be delivered, eggs were boiled NOT poached on top of the Benedict. The hollandaise tasted like lemon juice not thick and creamy at all! . Server noticed and then offered to replace... add another 15 minutes and I'm done! Ready to go. The hollandaise tasted like lemon juice not thick and creamy at all! read more

Real food! It's great to be able to eat at a place that serves real home made food, the classics plus great new fresh selections. This is a wonderful restaurant. For people that want to enjoy great service and amazing food especially prior to going to work this is the spot. I've eaten here several times and once again it was excellent. Walked in on a Sunday morning around 10:30 to a 30 - 45 minute wait. Lobby was packed. Love this place! Food is always amazing! My husband and I tend to go every Sunday for brunch!

I got there at 10:50 am. They say me immediately as I was a party of one. A waitress took my order about 5 minutes later. Then I waited...and waited....3 nearby tables that were sat after me received their food. Having ordered about 40 min ago the waitress asked me if I had received my food. I said not yet. She went to the kitchen to check on my order (I think). I waited another 15 minutes during which I did not see the waitress or the food I ordered. So I left left at about 1145 am. The food received by others looked good. Oh well. I won't be back. read more
