We were looking forward to visiting this First Watch because we've enjoyed other locations. Unfortunately the visit didn't turn out well. We sat at the community table among the detritus of other diner's discarded food crumbs, dirty dishes and abused napkins for over 40 minutes. Our pleas to have a clean table were ignored as some staff made eye contact, ignored our waves and retreated to hide in the kitchen. How management allows a table with active patrons, located directly near the front door in a highly visible location nonetheless, remain in such a disgusting condition makes one wonder how bad the kitchen looks... Nasty. In their defense it was graduation weekend and they were busy so I added a pity star for that. Still no excuse the table was left in that condition, especially since a lull occurred after minute 20 and nobody acknowledged us or the gross table. However busy they were, it's still no excuse that all 3 managers in staff neglected the floor. I'd rather wait an extra 5 minutes for food than sit among food waste and garbage while I dine. read more

Why?! Why would you take away one of Fort Colin's best restaurants, and replace it with this? The food was just ok. The service was pretty bad. Not only did I have to listen to the server griping about people being upset that they weren't the Egg and I, we waited forever for refills, and my boyfriend had one single cup of coffee, then a coke and he got charged like $2.89 each!! Come on!!! And seriously who wants salad for breakfast???? I'll be going to the Windsor location of the Egg and I until they switch over, then I'll just stop going! read more

We went here a couple of weekends ago thinking it was still the egg and I. I ordered the classic benedict and was disappointed in the flavor of the ham and that both of my eggs were overcooked. I asked for more hollandaise to cover the flavor and the dryness of the benedict, it didnt really help. Also asked what type of fruit was the seasonal on the menu. She said blackberries and ended up with melon and 2 blackberries. I would say the server was friendly but the food was not great. read more

Three tries, not sure why we tried the third time. Others have said it all, small servings, relatively pricey, food nothing to brag about, not a place we'll try again. There are many much better breakfast spots in the Fort. Sad that the original Egg & I ended up like this. read more

We really liked Egg & I but were very pleased with First Watch! The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The food was delicious and fairly healthy. We had Jordan as our waiter and 100% recommend asking for him if you can. Will be coming back again soon! read more

My friends and I went here for breakfast the other day. Pretty disappointed with our experience, I honestly don't understand why someone thought a dressed greens salad alongside breakfast foods was a good idea, it's just kind of a weird combination and my friend left them on his plate. The potatoes were undercooked and there was basically no cheese on any of our meals that had cheese, it was a very skimpy amount. The coffee was mediocre and far too expensive for what it was it honestly tasted slightly burnt or something it was hard to describe. There were 6 of us at the table and only received one pot for all of us. Though our server was very nice, she did not return for quite some time to check on us so I wasn't able to get any more coffee until we were basically all done. The only thing that was really decent was the turkey gravy that I tasted that my friend got, it was pretty good on the biscuits and gravy. The prices are not proportional to the quality, there's no way I should be paying $30 for two meals without even any boozy drinks added in which they do not serve here. There are better more flavorful places at the same price point as this place. I would say this place is just mediocre all around, in flavor, service, and quality. It's like a more expensive, discount, egg and I. Overall the food is more expensive. The food isn't as good. We used to go to egg and I every Sunday. We went to First Watch one time, and haven't been back (Urban Egg and Backporch are much better and now we fluctuate between those two. read more

Sorry but it's not as good as the Egg and I. Had the Eggs Benedict and was not fond of the Bernaise Sauce. Way too tart and had a yellow/greenish tint. Will not go back. read more

I hate to write a poor review, but the service over the weekend at First Watch was terrible. Our waiter tried to up sell a lot of menu items and the service was slow and in attentive. Aside from that the food was over priced and the biscuits and gravy was horrid. While it was a quieter atmosphere than most Fort Collins brunch spots; the quality of food and service is just not worth it. read more

We miss the egg and I!! We sat and waited for our waitress for 10 minutes before she finally dropped off a pot of coffee and then disappeared again. She forgot to mention that the coffee was not complimentary and just dropped the pot off and we drank it without knowing we would be charged $2.59 for it. So that was disappointing. The food was okay. We both ordered the farmhouse skillet hash. Not having the same old ranch potatoes was a deal breaker for us, though! On one of the dishes, the eggs didn't come out how we wanted and there was almost no cheese in it. The waitress also forgot to tell us that the dishes came with 2 sides, fruit and toast, and I wasn't able to request gluten free toast since I thought that it didn't come with sides. The menu also forgot to mention that the dishes came with these sides. The prices have increased significantly! We paid over $30 for what would have costed $20 at the egg and I. Overall the food was okay, but not worth $30+ and the service was not great. I don't think we will be planning any future visits. read more

We thought to give it a try on Mother's Day. Service was slow and when I got my breakfast, the only thing warm was my potatoes. My husband had cold eggs as well. Our waitress offered to get me new eggs, but I didn't want to wait another half hour. She did remove the eggs and our coffee from the ticket. I'm hoping it was just due to the extra business on Mother's Day. read more

Friends and I have been going to the Egg & I Restaurant once a week for years. It was recently sold to First Watch and we were excited to give the new menu a try. What a disappointment. The music was so loud we couldn't hear each other. There wasn't a senior menu. The regular meals were huge and mostly over 1,000 calories. The "small plates" offered did not include any balanced, low calorie, healthy options. I shared an omelet with a friend and it was tasteless and dry. The Egg and I offered a senior discount on their regular meals and First Watch does not. My friends and I decided not to return. We will try another restaurant next week. read more

Wow, what a drag this place has taken over where Egg & I was for so many years. This place is such a departure from what was a great, solid breakfast spot in town. The menu is downright confusing, very little traditional breakfast offerings and if you do order something fairly traditional, they put a weird spin on how they cook and serve it. The potatoes are awful and who wants salad for breakfast. Come on, this is not the West coast (thank God!). The staff seems complacent, not a manager in sight. When we arrived, one of their employees was out by the dumpster smoking a cigarette and there were only two waitresses in the restaurant. It was noon! Really? I guess it didn't really matter though as you could have shot a cannon thru the place and done no human damage, pretty sparse number of patrons. This used to be a great place to go. We don't like FW at all and won't be going back. Atmosphere very sterile, though we know it's the goovey thing now: cold, metal, wood (noisy). So sad to see Egg & I gone, this place is a very very poor "replacement". read more
