This is such a cute spot with delicious pastries and drinks. There's indoor and outdoor seating with WiFi available. Service was wonderful. It was my first time visiting and they were patient while I decided what I wanted to try and checked in with me when I was leaving to ask what I thought. They have a great selection of pastries including carrot cake, cupcakes, tartlets, and more. It's a little pricey, but great if you're in the mood to treat yourself! I had the raspberry chocolate torte and a drip coffee with creamer. The total was about $18 not including tip. Found this great neighborhood bakery bar that has a great selection of gf treats! Staff were super welcoming, food and coffee/chai were delicious as well. We'll definitely be coming back. Such a cute and comfortable set up as well. There was even a person remote working at the bar since the atmosphere was so pleasant. By far the best chai latte I have had in Colorado, it was nice and spicy and not watered down like most. Spouse said their matcha latte was the best he has ever had. They were so good we failed to try each other's drinks! The gf biscuits and gravy was tasty and a great portion. I've only had the chance to get to this cute little spot twice so far, but I see many more in my future! Most recently, I was craving a glass of red (mid-day on a Tuesday, of course) and something for my sweet tooth, so my husband and I ventured in for a lazy afternoon. We were greeted by the friendly masked bartender/barista and grabbed our boozy drinks, perused the glass case that was full of small, elegant desserts, then snagged a table in the corner. The house red is a Sangiovese (one of my faves), and on the cheaper side compared to their other wine offerings. We dug into the Samoa Cheesecake we got (pricey, but worth it considering how rich and decadent it was - we ended up taking half home) and relaxed in the quiet atmosphere. I saw that they used to have a savory menu, and I'd love to see them bring that back since sweets are a once-in-a-while craving for me, but when that craving hits, I'll be trying another of their delicious caked or macarons paired with another glass of wine! read more

In search of some early morning sweetness, I found this gem tucked into a corner of the shopping plaza - it did not disappoint! I tried one of the white chocolate Entremet a massive sugar cookie and a beautiful doughy pretzel that looked too good to leave in the display case. The Entremet was perfectly delicate, packed with flavor and just the right consistency. I would tell you about the cookie but it was eaten by my companion before I got to try it- so I am thinking it was pretty good. The pretzel I saved for later, and even warmed up at home it was still wonderful, carb-tastic perfection. Was it pricey? Of course, it's Fort Collins and it's Colorado - was it worth it? my fiancé and decided to come here to try their biscuits. when we walked in, there was one person making drinks. the said hi and then proceeded to not acknowledge us for about 7 minutes. no "i'll be with you in a second". another employee came out from the back and was just chatting to the person making drinks? like no acknowledge we were there. when the person making drinks finally took our order, they were just not very nice? very short and kind of rude. we both got the biscuits and gravy. they were fine. average biscuits with sub par gravy. my fiancé fancies himself a biscuits and gravy connoisseur and we both agreed that the gravy seemed store bought, which is a bummer if you're going to make fancy homemade biscuits and then do that. the actual inside was cute. but overall, i probably will not return. read more

I stumbled upon Retreat while in this plaza and immediately really liked this spot. The coffee tastes good, the baked goods I've had are nice, and the ambiance is just very relaxed. The lady behind the counter both times (perhaps the owner? I should maybe actually talk to her) was very kind. I also enjoy that they are open later than most coffee shops so if you're looking for an evening coffee and to just read a book, it's a gem. Actually, I don't know why I wrote that, and now people may flood this spot as a result. Oh, who am I kidding, I'm probably the only person who still reads a book and has evening coffee anyway hence why everywhere else closes at like 5 pm. This place is a total vibe! I was looking for somewhere cozy to go read and have some pastries and Retreat delivered. I got a slice of Tiramisu to go and my husband said it was one of the best he's ever had. I had a couple of key lime pie bites and a banana cream bite and they were amazing! Food's so-so. Soup is salty. Service is pleasant. The coffee was decent. But they made our tea in the espresso maker!!!!!!!! Yuck!!! The taste was awful and it was a floral tea! If I wanted coffee I would have ordered it. That's like serving cheesecake on a board you've used to chop onions! No need to go back, think I'll go to Little Bird or Cuppy's or Harbinger or the Bread Chic in the future. To the owner, Geoff, thank you so much for your response. I just want to clarify that if you have no espresso maker and you are saying that the only incursion between your tea and coffee is your wand that is used to create a chai tea latte then I'm not sure what tell you. Since neither of us ordered a chai tea latte, we ordered tea. And both of us only got - tea. It was simply hot tea not a latte. We only had hot water and tea, with no creamer added. My kids and I love this place! Staff are super friendly. My favorite bakery in Fort Collins, by a good margin. The chocolate chip cookies are in contention for the very best I've ever tasted and I don't say that lightly. They're so so good. Big, notes of toffee, great bits of melty dark chocolate. Great brownies as well, and scones. Last time I went I was feeling something more savory, so I got their cheddar biscuit and gravy. Again, fantastic! The biscuit was rich, but still light and flaky, great crisp browning on the bottom for a textural contrast. And the sausage gravy you could put on a hubcap and it'll still taste great. This is a fantastic place! My wife and I stopped by yesterday. The lady who helped us was the sweetest. We picked a Chocolate Caramel Entremet which was fabulous. My wife got the dark chocolate cookie. The cookie was warm and fresh and you can say that it was made with love! We went just right after lunch, otherwise I would've spent most of my salary on all the delicious treats. I highly recommend it. If you're driving by, do not miss this place!
