The food is great. Hence, why we wanted to return to this location. But the seating service is terrible. Online there is an option to put your name on the waiting list. However, it is not accurate. We put our name on the list twenty minutes prior to arriving in the restaurant. Total wait would it have been 20-30 minutes.. since our name's were on the list, it should have been 10 minutes tops for waiting.. we arrived and front server tells us: 45 minutes waiting. I had brunch at this location for the first time and the ambiance was nice. Service was quite slow, but food was delish. One thing I would point out is the fact of when coffee was being served, the server held the cup around the top where mouths drink from. We visited the Flower Mound location Sunday for brunch. The wait was a little long but nothing out of the norm. Our waitress was fantastic. She was slammed, but made sure to let us know, and she took great care of us. I had the chickichanga and it was out of this world. I left NOTHING on my plate. We will definitely return. They had me at the Kale Tonic! I love, Love, LOVE this place, especially this drink. They specialize in heathy alternatives, but everything is soooo delicious. It seems I have a similar complaint about the Flower Mound First Watch as do other former patrons. It's been a few months since I had the displeasure of dining at this First Watch for the last time so I won't go into a lot of detail. Potential customers of this place should know that their smoothies are good but full of sugar. Their food the first time I went on a weekday was good as well. The problems started and ended on the 2nd and final visit. The problems centered around service or more importantly around how the greeter/cashier and the manager dealt with a customer that was mildly frustrated turning that customer into a "never again". We had a couple of issues with cold food that took a very long time to come out. They were busy at the time so I understand the time but to send out a side of bacon that was cold and literally has a layer of white congealed grease stuck to the bacon and the plate was worthy of bringing to someone's attention along with a few other minor problems as well. It took an extraordinarily long time to check out and when I let the very young lady know about my issues, I was met with a smarmy "OK thank you" as she turned around and started doing something else. I grew up in the restaurant business and that girl is too stupid or arrogant to be doing what she's being overpaid to do. I asked for the manager and an assistant came to the front after the girl gave him her side of the story and that person was rude as well, so I left after requesting the corporate office phone number and being given the restaurant's number instead. I called the restaurant a couple of days later to speak with the General Manager and discovered the attitude comes from the top, as he was unwilling to give me the corporate office number either. So I looked up their corporate phone number online and left a long voicemail with their system and traded calls with someone from that office for about a week, but never connected. I finally gave up, because that place isn't worth my time or anyone else's for that kind of runaround. The Flower Mound First Watch location obviously has a lot of service issues as evidenced by many similar reviews to this one. There are way too many good brunch restaurants in the Flower Mound area to put up with children that don't have the first clue about customer service. Do yourself a favor, take your Mom somewhere else on Mother's day that doesn't suck. read more

The prep time was thirty minutes... good I'm 10 minutes away. I'll take my time to get there. Stopped to get gas... I arrived and the food was not ready. It's a super cute place... Love the decor with lots of natural woods in a bit of a modern farmhouse feel. We have very hungry kids, and The kids meals didn't look like it would be enough to feed them so they had to order adult meals except for one, and she was a little disappointed with the pancake options. She doesn't like chocolate and the only fun kid pancake was chocolate chip. It would've been great if they had blueberry but the pancake was huge so she was satisfied with the size. My husband got the trifecta. It was in a box up at the top right corner of the menu, drawing attention like it was a signature item, which made him think it would be a big hardy plate. Luckily I ordered an omelette because he had to eat his entire meal plus half of mine. My omelette was definitely a good size portion for me... More than enough luckily. The kids had the chickichanga, and they were also satisfied. So the food was tasty. I will say that my omelette only had the green peppers and avocado in the very center of the omelette. All of the edges of the omelette were just egg, so I pretty much ate out the middle only. taste wise and ambience wise everything was good. 2 dollars for one piece of toast! I asked for a side of toast. I was given a choice of sourdough or multigrain. I said multigrain. This particular day it took a while to get our food but when it arrived there was no toast. I waited patiently and had to remind my waiter that I hadn't got my toast. Finally it arrived, one piece of buttered multigrain toast cut in half. When I got the bill, I noticed I was charged 1.99 for the toast. I found out that if I had ordered sourdough, I would have gotten 2 pieces. I should have been told this when I was given the option of toast. I will always always always come back to a place that serves great bennies. This is not going to be one of those places. The salmon Benny was COVERED in very thick slices of onions that made it extremely unpleasant to eat. I had a salad so I had to toss some of the onions to the salad instead. It was served on a thick panini type of bun? And the hollandaise was very underwhelming, lack that punch of zesty and also needed more salt. I left wanting more from the Benny. We love breakfast and no one does breakfast cleaner than first watch. Everything tastes so fresh and full of flavor. We had 2 of the juices, their coffee and it was so good. Then add in our actual breakfast, hubs gets the traditional breakfast which is super hearty, I usually do the egg Benedict but this time got the elevated egg sandwich and it's my new go-to for sure!
