Very disappointed! Heard good things from patrons of the location in Scottsdale. Not here, the poached egg was undercooked, whites were clear. A cold tomatoe slice did not help. The flavors were good, execution sucked. Had the eggs Benedict on salmon. My partner had scrambled eggs and bacon, cold eggs arrived and bacon was cooked hard as a board. Staff not very concerned with my dissatisfaction. Wasn't worth a photo, much less the 20 bucks for my plate. read more

I am not quite sure why they call this place "First Watch", as I can imagine it's because somebody or something is waiting for the first signs of the sun to come up in the morning. I think maybe it's because nobody woke up at this place and/or somebody is watching for the first one to wake up?? Or maybe after the First Watch they all go back to sleep!!! We were seated OK with awake people... But that's about where everything fell off back to Snoozeville. Our waitress was more interested in clearing tables than serving us. It all began when our water glasses were so dirty and greasy that I mentioned it kindly to her. She never showed up the entire service to replace them. I drank my water out of my coffee cup. My partner ordered coffee initially, she did bring us a pot of hot SOUR brew... We were going to change it out for decaf but we never saw her. I had to get up and go hunting for for the creamer since the only creamer on our table was flavored and the regular half-and-half was gone. Then, we waited 10 more minutes; and finally, asked the other waitress if she could find her, so we can place our order ... we were starving. My partner ordered a veggie burger since it was almost lunch, and I ordered a tri-athlete breakfast; which consisted of a white omelette with pico de gallo, fruit cup and whole-grain toast. My partner's burger was OK, nothing that special. She said she would consider ordering it again, although it came with a plate of dry lettuce. My white omelette had the texture of being cooked in the microwave; In other words, it tasted like a piece of rubber with canned green Hatch chilies and a side of bottled salsa. My plate had a little water or grease on it and so my toast was wet. I was so hungry I ate it anyways instead of complaining to a waitress who never showed back up! I guess the idea of this restaurant is awesome, but from now on for breakfast, I think I'm going to go to local places where they do care about what they serve people and how; Instead of a chain where they're just trying to get through their shift. Okay. Diligent morning...this morning & trying to get my hustle. I've been to this noshery a few times, but haven't had the chance to review. Actually only spent time in the cafe up in Scottsdale. This eatery is convenient- just off one of the main streets in Chandler and yes....snuggled in the middle of yet another strip mall. Oh well. Easy to find corner location. I couldn't dine in and take in the energy & atmosphere so I ordered morning take out- foodie drive by, which.....I don't like, but a dude's gotta do what a dude's got to do. Friendly as usual. Greeted by the lovely hostess....of course, and ordered quickly. Plenty seating. A country hip-vibe...not loud at all and an amazing menu. I was feeling the meditation elixir and superfoods breakfast. Delicious as always. And no long wait. Fresh local ingredients and just right. Fyi- macro friendly. What a neat small location at Fulton Ranch. When you walk in, the vibe is very chill with amazing breakfast smells. The tables are nice and big and isolated from other tables which is great for the current time especially. The waiter was tremendous and very down to earth. He brought us drinks and a big jug of water which I always love because then I don't have to keep bugging them for more water. I ordered the Chickichanga which is one of the favorites here. I thought it was very good and not too overpowering or filling. It was very interesting- the egg was wrapped around the tortilla but no actual egg inside the wrap. I loved the flavor of the chicken and chorizo. If I had one complaint, there was a little too much green chile, but besides that I would definitely order it again. My sister had the Chile Chorizo which tasted very similar to the chickichanga without the tortilla. The potatoes are fantastic. They really compliment any egg dish that you order. Today I put my name in and received a text I would be notified when table will be ready. First, I love First Watch. I've eaten at several across the country and they are always consistently good and known for their quality food and service. However, the Chandler location is disappointing. Every time I come here with family or friends, the wait time is 30-45 minutes and the place has a ton of open tables. I found a literal hair in my salad. None of my relatives have that length blonde hair. My sister and I both have dark brown, my Grandma has very short blonde hair, my mom has light brown hair, and my grandpa has gray hair. This is my first time ever finding a hair in my food and I would never have thought it to be here. The waitress was nice and gave us a refund but it was very unsanitary. read more

My wife and I visited for breakfast on Sunday. We went around 8:30am and we just beat the rush! This place can get quite busy which is always a good sign. The staff was friendly and inviting. Our waitress was amazing, being our first time to First Watch, we asked for recommendations and she killed it. My wife had the Elevated Egg Sandwich, she liked it so much, she made me try it and it was AMAZING! Normally when I enjoy something that much, I feel like I chose unwisely. The service we received was horrible. The first thing the coffee cup was dirty and waitress set it on a clean table and gave me a clean cup. Then she got another customer and gave him the dirty cup.We ordered she brought toast out and it was ice cold and then waited for the omelet which we had order potatoes with it and she forgot them and the mushrooms were ice cold. I think carbs are evil but I took a break for this First Watch breakfast. Our party of 3 got a few different items, but I ordered an extra plate of Lemon Ricotta Pancakes to share. They are delicious. We all enjoyed them very so much. They come with lemon curd and fresh strawberries. They barely needed syrup. Our server was Roman and he was very professional and friendly. Okay, update y'all! I went back to First Watch today and boy was it a different experience! First of all the service was awesome! The server was fantastic. She made sure we had everything we needed and was friendly and made the experience personable. I wish I knew her name because she really made our brunch the best it could be. The food was good. I will say, I was still not super impressed, which is why I'm giving 4 and not 5 stars still. It was good though. I will go back. Husband got gruyere ham sandwich and liked it a lot, kiddo got the chocolate chip pancake which was an awesome deal with the sausage and drink at $5.99. I got the French toast and my recommendation would be to serve it with some eggs or bacon or something. It was $9 for two slices of toast. It was good, don't get me wrong but needs an accompanying dish. I ended up ordering the million dollar bacon after because I just wasn't satisfied with only that. The bacon was AH-MAZING! I could have eaten just the bacon. This preggo will be going back just to get the bacon to go. Thank you First Watch for inviting us back. We will be visiting again soon! My first NoWait experience! Added myself to the list virtually on a busy Sunday morning and cut down the queue by at least five minutes. Yeah technology! I like a good First Watch. They had a few in St. Louis, always a safe bet for breakfast.Especially when with the parental units. You know it'll be good service and good food. First Watch has really upped their game in the past 5-7 years. More contemporary decor and healthy menu options like fresh squeezed juices. It's not something my mom looks for on a menu, but great for everyone out there who is more conscious about their intake. Avocado toast with a side of eggs was perfect for my mammy. She also wanted pancakes so I graciously made the "sacrifice" and ordered it as my plate. That way we could share. Plenty of food for two hungry gals. Amazing options! The menu items are as delectable as they sound. It is rare that I have a difficult time deciding what I would like to eat, but I had four things I had to decide between here! The juice blends are amazing & the wait staff was super friendly & attentive. It's busy, and always has a wait for a reason. Do not go to First Watch on Alma School in Chandler. The restaurant is in disarray. Nicholas the manager is a no show. There is no quality control. The wait staff is poorly trained and unable or unwilling to: (a) timely take your order; (b) timely bring your coffee; (c) refill water; (d) bring all your food out on time - we waited a full 15 minutes between our first plate brought to the table and the last. One person was done with her meal before the last person wad even served; the waitress disappeared and attempts to ask others on the status of the meal were completely unsuccessful productive; and (d) timely bring a check. There was no attempt at apology or explanation for the poor service. Attempts to reach Nicholas the manager about the experience have been unproductive. He clearly doesn't care, and hasn't checked out, or the restaurant would not be in such disarray. Too bad. We've been customers for 5 years at the restaurant, but no longer. There are plenty of other good breakfast spots in South Chandler. I recommend you try those and avoid First Watch on Alma School at all costs. read more

I still can't get over how delicious this meal was! My mom and I had a nice brunch here. This was maybe her second time here and my first. My mom ordered 2 For You with half a sandwich and a salad with a Morning Meditation juice, which by the way, is so tasty! I ordered the Elevated Egg Sandwich and substituted the seasoned potatoes for fresh fruit with a Kale Tonic juice. First and foremost, I appreciate that First Watch has a variety of fruit that they give you... unlike other breakfast/brunch places that I have been to where they only have cantaloupe, melon, and pineapples. Mind you, I HATE anything melon. I've never been a green juice kind of person, but the Kale Tonic seemed to have caught my eye, so I gave it a shot. The sandwich was too good that I really don't know how to describe how good it was lol. My first time experience exceeded my expectations. Our family has always considered First Watch our go to breakfast spot. With that being said, our experience on Friday morning 4/21 was disappointing all around. I am post baby number two and was excited to get out of the house for a nice meal. The location had a 0 wait time and with two small children, your time spent at a restaurant is limited. The host was accommodating at seated us quickly. Service dropped off from there unfortunately. We waited a long while for our server, while watching other tables get service. Our server came up and apologized, she seemed flustered even though the restaurant was not busy. We ordered. The food took a super long time to come out. Our server kept apologizing asking if we needed more drinks and that it would only be a "few more minutes" several times. Luckily both kids stayed content and we were able to stick around for the food. Our food was quite sad looking. We got an Elevated Egg Sandwich which was very bland and none of the ingredients tasted fresh or crisp and the potatoes were burnt, the Tri-fecta which we got a Chocolate Chip Pancake, the outside was burnt but inside was raw, the Million Dollar Bacon which was horribly burnt. Another server delivered our food. Our server later saw our food, she kept looking at different plates and asking if we would like things remade because to her things looked too well done. Tried this place for the first time not long ago. I can say that I'm now a fan! I can only compare this place to other chained breakfast spots unfortunately. I can say that this place seems like a healthier version of most breakfast places though. They have alot of choices from their menu. They have skillets and other items that are 'protein style' kinda. Everything seems very authentic and well prepared when I got my food. It wasn't just slapped on a plate and served to me. They actually take the time to have everything nice looking. Our server was fantastic and super nice. The overall vibe from this place was cozy and quiet. I'll be back.
