Huntington Valley.

I want to leave a five star review for First Watch in the Huntingdon valley Shopping Center. My server Leah had a beautiful smile that lit up the room. She was extremely friendly, attentive, and anticipated my every need. In addition, the food was delicious and fresh. The host was kind and welcoming. I encourage everyone to bring your family and friends here for brunch. I look forward to coming back soon.

Chicken Avocado Chop salad

First time eating at this location, but have eaten/ordered from a First Watch restaurant before. This is not a stand alone spot - falls in line with the strip of stores in the shopping center. Luckily the person I was meeting with hot there a few minutes before me, so got a seated immediately. Kept it simple with a hot tea for my drink since it was so cold outside and kept it on the healthier side for my eats with the Chicken Avocado Chop salad. The salad was actually very filling and tasty. Plus the little baguette/roll they gave with it helped the filling taste. Service was good and appreciated the manager coming out to talk to us, see how our dining experience was, etc. when we were closing out/paying at the register upfront... I would come back for breakfast or lunch again.

Came here for a Sunday afternoon brunch and it went well. Even in the heyday of Sunday brunch, our party of three didn't wait too long to get seated. It was a nice and intimate looking dining area. We went with the Bacado Omelette, Turkey Biscuit gravy with eggs, and eggs Benedict with salmon. Everything came out perfectly and quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I love the little touch on my Bacado omelette with the sour cream being whipped as it'll it were whipped cream. I thought it was a very nice touch. Aside from a small snafu with receiving the wrong check at the end of the meal, I'd say there was absolutely nothing to complain about. I would highly recommend getting brunch here

Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast

We were seated right away and our server, Logan, came over right away for our drink order. We order the Maple Bacon croissant sandwich which came with potatoes and the pumpkin pancake breakfast. The food came out quickly. We both came home with leftovers. Food was delicious.

My friends have been raving about first watch for a long time now. So I finally went to the Abington location for Sunday breakfast. They do not take reservations but you are able to add your name to the waitlist in advance. I waited about 15 mins to be seated upon arrival so it was not too bad. I got the farmhouse hash with vegan sausage instead of bacon. It has eggs of your choice on top of potatoes, roasted onions and tomatoes and avocado. I guess my expectations were very high after my friends spoke so highly about it but it was average. It tasted okay and it got the job done. The service was good and friendly. It is very family friendly and homey. The menu has a variety of options from pancakes to egg dishes to lunch sandwiches, something for everyone. I would go back for a quick bite.

I would've given 3 stars if the service was a little better. We were sat right away but out waiter didn't come over for nearly 10 minutes. People walked passed us, and another table was sat without us getting any service. The other table got drinks and we were just sitting. The hostess walked passed to seat yet another table and asked if our waiter had come to our table yet which no one had. He apologized and about 2 minutes later someone walked over. I will say we placed our order and our food came out in literally like 5 minutes. I got the Trifect which was 2 eggs, bacon and waffle. My husband ordered off of the fall menu and got the Million Dollar sandwich and the million dollar potatoes. Nothing really stood out to me with my food. My waffle was kind of soggy. My husband said his sandwich was okay, said the honey kind of threw the taste off a bit but still good. The potatoes were good. This is my second time here and it isn't my favorite but my husband enjoys it. It is also the second time we've had subpar service. I don't think I will return.

It was located within big mall complex So during peak time, parking could be little tight even though parking space is big Inside of restaurant was spacious and beautifully decorated Party of two dined in on wed for brunch at 11am We waited for 40 mins for food but our server was very nice and pleasant I ordered ice coffee, thanks to other reviewer, It was more like coffee milk lol Server gave me one refill at free of charge And food we ordered was pretty good! We ordered salmon and vege fritt , chickinchanga , lemon rigotta pancake and milion dollar bacon, i may not spell them right But those are all decent!! Check out is done at the front desk I was not told so we waited for awhile for server to pick up, so dont wait,,, Overall staff are so kind and nice

I came in very early the next day to drop something off, but it's a beautiful facility

I have lived in this neighborhood for 34 years and we were all sad to lose our little corner diner that survived for so long but as it turns out a breakfast lunch and brunch establishment named FIRST WATCH has opened up and has absolutely provided an experience I have yet to have an almost 10 years. My father just had a lower leg amputation due to diabetes along with having open-heart surgery and a pacemaker planted and accompanied by my mother and my two year old nephew with myself. David, our server was not only very understanding and very accommodating for our situation but the energy of the establishment had a flow that naturally drew WIN whether people were talking or not because it is just relaxed. It is absolutely outstanding service and food, and management are the type of people that you wish you could work for because they make the work life and all of its possibilities one would hope for seem normal. I never write reviews, but I must give the praise where the praises do staff is phenomenal and kind his breakfast brunch and lunch, and come meet some of the really amazing kind people who genuinely care about you and serving you! Space is beautiful and very clean and a very relaxing ambience.

Healthy turkey ... with no turkey....
Rebecca K.

Came to First Watch for brunch on a weekday. I ordered the Healthy turkey omelet... and it came looking totally gross. I couldn't believe that they thought it was okay to serve. After looking at the omelet, I noticed that my "healthy turkey" omelet had no turkey at all . I asked my server if this was how it was supposed to look, and pointed out that there was no turkey...he apologized, and they begrudgingly made me a new one, with turkey this time. There are a lot of great breakfast and lunch spots, and this was the first bad experience I've had at first watch - but it had been a while since I'd been here. I'd give them another try but I won't be in a rush to do so.

Take out order.. ketchup and plastic cup inside container.. should be placed inside bag or wrapped up / placed in another bag.
Dianna S.

The food here is good but I don't Like how they practice unsanitary habits like putting objects such as (ketchup packages and plastic cups of sauce) inside your food container!!! This is not the best procedure when these items could be harboring bacteria and germs and should not be placed where it is touching your food... I really hope they can incorporate different sanitary habits and it would definitely be 5 stars!

We went on Mother's Day so it was busy, but we joined the waitlist online, arrived between an hour and an hour and a half later and then only waited about 5 minutes for a table. The restaurant was very cute inside and the restroom was clean. I really enjoyed my food and the people I was with did too. I've heard there is one in Fort Worth where I'm from so I'll have to try that location.

We will definitely give it a weekend try, just in case it was an off night. Tip: I was not a fan of sitting in the half booth tables right by the hostess stand. It was extra dark and it felt more like where you sit while waiting for your actual table. Ask to be seated further in the dining room...it is really cool inside! Big parties can even get seated IN a birdcage!

Prices are fair other than drink prices which were a little high. The food was delicious and had a nice appearance. The crab on the creamy linguini tasted surprisingly fresh as well. Every staff member was extremely polite as well. I will say, there were a couple individuals who appeared to be regulars that acted as if they were over served and when they left, the bartender said "I love you guys, have a good one," which was a little much even if it's for the sake of getting tips from regulars who aren't responsible enough to hold their liquor properly. The same patrons at the bar were also extremely loud which reminds you that it is a "bar" and not a fancy restaurant despite the amazing food and staff. The food and professionalism from the majority of the staff simply did not match the appearance of the workers who wore personal t-shirts which makes the whole experience feel a lot more casual despite the prices. Regardless we will be back due to the treatment from the staff and the great food!

Some within the party had menus in front of them others did not. The server was anxious to take the order but after seeing that we didn't have menus had to pivot. Other Issues arose shortly after ordering of entrees was completed. Food arrived with servers not knowing who should receive which entree. I ordered the Crispy Chicken and Shrimp with stir fry Veggies and Pineapple in a spicy and sweet sauce with "brown" rice. It took a long time between the time the order was placed and when I received it. This experience was consistent for the entire party. I received the order and it came with "white rice" that was cold and slightly undercooked. The shrimp and chicken were done but everything was swimming in sauce. The veggies were overcooked. I didn't ask to have the rice replaced fearing it would take too long for the wait staff to bring it. Overall, the dish was underwhelming. Others at the table were first time guests and ranked their experience on a scale from 1 to 10 as a "2". One guest commented that what I ordered looked no better than what one could expect at Panda Express. It wasn't busy at the restaurant. There were a lot of empty tables (on a Friday afternoon) so why was the service lacking and the kitchen so slow? A friend of mine ordered chicken piccata special - didn't receive soup or salad and the pasta was stuck together. It was very disappointing and surprising given the reputation of The Cheesecake Factory that in my opinion was pretty solid. Food quality was mediocre and the service poor. Are the empty tables at lunchtime indicative of an establishment past its prime or poor management?

Since graduating, I haven't gotten the chance to eat here in a while, but I stopped by last week and was happy to see the food is still just as consistent and tasty as it was when I was in college. This time, we ordered the wings, a hamburger with mac and cheese (no bacon), corn on the cob, and spicy chicken bites. Everything came out well. I definitely recommend the corn if you haven't tried it yet; it's a must. The burger was solid, and the spicy chicken bites were pretty good too (I like pairing them with the chicken wrap sauce). The atmosphere is split into two; one part has a sporty vibe, featuring TVs at the bar, while the dining area and overall aesthetic reflect a Western style with plenty of wood and rustic decor. The service is quick and friendly, contributing to an enjoyable dining experience. This makes it an ideal spot to watch games, hang out with friends, or simply enjoy dinner. I had salmon, which came with a side of rice, a loaded baked potato, and asparagus. Ordering fish at a steakhouse is usually a loser move, but this was delicious, large, and perfectly cooked. My wife had a bone-in ribeye. Obviously, it wasn't dry aged Wagyu, but it was a nice piece of meat for the price. Kids were happy with their meals as swell. For dessert we split the Stampede, which is a truly epic chain restaurant dessert: two huge pieces of cake with two huge scoops of ice cream. More than enough for our family of four. Service was excellent, as was the value. We paid $120 for a big steak, a big piece of salmon, two kids meals, a huge dessert, and three 20 ounce beers. Cons: - Both steaks came undercooked. Medium rare was rare and medium was medium rare. We didn't mind and didn't send them back, but they weren't right. - The loaded baked potato could have been a little bigger and a little bit more loaded - By the end of the dinner rush the restaurant needed some TLC. There was a chicken bone on the floor when we left and I'm told the lady's room was not in great shape. Overall, an unexpectedly great experience.
