Huntington Valley.

I want to leave a five star review for First Watch in the Huntingdon valley Shopping Center. My server Leah had a beautiful smile that lit up the room. She was extremely friendly, attentive, and anticipated my every need. In addition, the food was delicious and fresh. The host was kind and welcoming. I encourage everyone to bring your family and friends here for brunch. I look forward to coming back soon.

Chicken Avocado Chop salad

First time eating at this location, but have eaten/ordered from a First Watch restaurant before. This is not a stand alone spot - falls in line with the strip of stores in the shopping center. Luckily the person I was meeting with hot there a few minutes before me, so got a seated immediately. Kept it simple with a hot tea for my drink since it was so cold outside and kept it on the healthier side for my eats with the Chicken Avocado Chop salad. The salad was actually very filling and tasty. Plus the little baguette/roll they gave with it helped the filling taste. Service was good and appreciated the manager coming out to talk to us, see how our dining experience was, etc. when we were closing out/paying at the register upfront... I would come back for breakfast or lunch again.

Bacado Omelette

Came here for a Sunday afternoon brunch and it went well. Even in the heyday of Sunday brunch, our party of three didn't wait too long to get seated. It was a nice and intimate looking dining area. We went with the Bacado Omelette, Turkey Biscuit gravy with eggs, and eggs Benedict with salmon. Everything came out perfectly and quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I love the little touch on my Bacado omelette with the sour cream being whipped as it'll it were whipped cream. I thought it was a very nice touch. Aside from a small snafu with receiving the wrong check at the end of the meal, I'd say there was absolutely nothing to complain about. I would highly recommend getting brunch here

Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast

We were seated right away and our server, Logan, came over right away for our drink order. We order the Maple Bacon croissant sandwich which came with potatoes and the pumpkin pancake breakfast. The food came out quickly. We both came home with leftovers. Food was delicious.

My friends have been raving about first watch for a long time now. So I finally went to the Abington location for Sunday breakfast. They do not take reservations but you are able to add your name to the waitlist in advance. I waited about 15 mins to be seated upon arrival so it was not too bad. I got the farmhouse hash with vegan sausage instead of bacon. It has eggs of your choice on top of potatoes, roasted onions and tomatoes and avocado. I guess my expectations were very high after my friends spoke so highly about it but it was average. It tasted okay and it got the job done. The service was good and friendly. It is very family friendly and homey. The menu has a variety of options from pancakes to egg dishes to lunch sandwiches, something for everyone. I would go back for a quick bite.

I would've given 3 stars if the service was a little better. We were sat right away but out waiter didn't come over for nearly 10 minutes. People walked passed us, and another table was sat without us getting any service. The other table got drinks and we were just sitting. The hostess walked passed to seat yet another table and asked if our waiter had come to our table yet which no one had. He apologized and about 2 minutes later someone walked over. I will say we placed our order and our food came out in literally like 5 minutes. I got the Trifect which was 2 eggs, bacon and waffle. My husband ordered off of the fall menu and got the Million Dollar sandwich and the million dollar potatoes. Nothing really stood out to me with my food. My waffle was kind of soggy. My husband said his sandwich was okay, said the honey kind of threw the taste off a bit but still good. The potatoes were good. This is my second time here and it isn't my favorite but my husband enjoys it. It is also the second time we've had subpar service. I don't think I will return.

It was located within big mall complex So during peak time, parking could be little tight even though parking space is big Inside of restaurant was spacious and beautifully decorated Party of two dined in on wed for brunch at 11am We waited for 40 mins for food but our server was very nice and pleasant I ordered ice coffee, thanks to other reviewer, It was more like coffee milk lol Server gave me one refill at free of charge And food we ordered was pretty good! We ordered salmon and vege fritt , chickinchanga , lemon rigotta pancake and milion dollar bacon, i may not spell them right But those are all decent!! Check out is done at the front desk I was not told so we waited for awhile for server to pick up, so dont wait,,, Overall staff are so kind and nice

I came in very early the next day to drop something off, but it's a beautiful facility

I have lived in this neighborhood for 34 years and we were all sad to lose our little corner diner that survived for so long but as it turns out a breakfast lunch and brunch establishment named FIRST WATCH has opened up and has absolutely provided an experience I have yet to have an almost 10 years. My father just had a lower leg amputation due to diabetes along with having open-heart surgery and a pacemaker planted and accompanied by my mother and my two year old nephew with myself. David, our server was not only very understanding and very accommodating for our situation but the energy of the establishment had a flow that naturally drew WIN whether people were talking or not because it is just relaxed. It is absolutely outstanding service and food, and management are the type of people that you wish you could work for because they make the work life and all of its possibilities one would hope for seem normal. I never write reviews, but I must give the praise where the praises do staff is phenomenal and kind his breakfast brunch and lunch, and come meet some of the really amazing kind people who genuinely care about you and serving you! Space is beautiful and very clean and a very relaxing ambience.

Healthy turkey ... with no turkey....
Rebecca K.

Came to First Watch for brunch on a weekday. I ordered the Healthy turkey omelet... and it came looking totally gross. I couldn't believe that they thought it was okay to serve. After looking at the omelet, I noticed that my "healthy turkey" omelet had no turkey at all . I asked my server if this was how it was supposed to look, and pointed out that there was no turkey...he apologized, and they begrudgingly made me a new one, with turkey this time. There are a lot of great breakfast and lunch spots, and this was the first bad experience I've had at first watch - but it had been a while since I'd been here. I'd give them another try but I won't be in a rush to do so.

Take out order.. ketchup and plastic cup inside container.. should be placed inside bag or wrapped up / placed in another bag.
Dianna S.

The food here is good but I don't Like how they practice unsanitary habits like putting objects such as (ketchup packages and plastic cups of sauce) inside your food container!!! This is not the best procedure when these items could be harboring bacteria and germs and should not be placed where it is touching your food... I really hope they can incorporate different sanitary habits and it would definitely be 5 stars!

We went on Mother's Day so it was busy, but we joined the waitlist online, arrived between an hour and an hour and a half later and then only waited about 5 minutes for a table. The restaurant was very cute inside and the restroom was clean. I really enjoyed my food and the people I was with did too. I've heard there is one in Fort Worth where I'm from so I'll have to try that location.

We will definitely give it a weekend try, just in case it was an off night. Tip: I was not a fan of sitting in the half booth tables right by the hostess stand. It was extra dark and it felt more like where you sit while waiting for your actual table. Ask to be seated further in the dining room...it is really cool inside! Big parties can even get seated IN a birdcage!

As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted by one of the owners. It's a husband-and-wife team, which always earns bonus points in my book. I was promptly seated, given a menu, and immediately overwhelmed--in the best way--because everything sounded amazing. I ended up asking the owner for help deciding, and I'm so glad I did. I chose the chicken and dumpling soup (they rotate specialty soups weekly) and a loaded sweet potato. The soup was incredibly flavorful--slightly saltier than my personal preference, but thankfully I tasted it before adding anything. The thyme flavor really stood out and made the dish comforting and delicious. I'd absolutely recommend it if it's available when you visit. The loaded sweet potato was topped with jerk chicken, one of my favorite seasonings. You can adjust the heat, and I went with how it comes--very hot! I loved it. Spicy, bold, and full of flavor, with the sweet potato cooked to perfection. They also offer unsweetened, fresh-brewed iced tea with free refills, which is always a huge plus for me. The café itself is small, but while I was there, there was a steady flow of people coming and going--it's clearly a popular hometown spot. Everything on the menu looked fantastic, so I'll definitely be making a return trip to try something new. They serve both breakfast and lunch, and they also offer catering, which makes this spot even more appealing whether you're stopping in for a quick meal or looking to feed a group. If you're in Jenkintown, I highly recommend stopping by Welcome Home Café. You won't regret it.

From the street it has a really cool look and the inside leans into an industrial style with a great aesthetic. It's a comfortable space with a nice vibe. We ordered a couple of cocktails: a lemon drop and a Manhattan. Strategically we decided to split a Detroit-style pizza called the Iron Pig. Good call because one square was the perfect amount for dinner. And now we have a few meals to heat up for the next few days. The drinks were excellent and the pizza was outstanding. Great flavor. Our server Ally was welcoming and friendly and top notch on service. It is the middle of winter so we weren't considering outside dining, but they have a great outdoor space near the street. Looks like a fun place to hang out. It's definitely a place we'd consider visiting again.

They don't have server tunnel vision, they work as a team and it shows! The vibes are so cool here. I mean, if you're gonna open a cafe next to a scrap yard, you have to lean in to the theming. I love the vibes, I love the appearance. The food is amazing top to bottom. First, their coffee drinks are always spot hitting, partly due to the fact that they roast their own coffee beans on site. The cocktail menu is always enticing an even though I'm not a huge drinker, I'll be working my way around this. The breakfast options are plenty and if you don't get their bacon you are missing out! The lunch sandwiches are served on a house made ciabatta style bread. Packed with fresh meats, cheeses and veggies. Every ingredient is perfectly seasoned and added delicately, not just items slapped on a roll. The Detroit pizza is what initially drew me in. While they have some options with more toppings, I'd say go for some of the more simple Detroit pies to really allow the famous crust to really shine through. My personal favorite so far is the white pie they do with roasted portobello mushrooms. I have only been for breakfast and lunch but with all the craft beer options I need to go back for dinner to sit and relax with some friends and family!

The sandwiches were excellent and were served with perfectly cooked shoestring fries. The soup was great - plenty of cheese & bread topping delicious broth & caramelized onions. Joanne was correct when she told us the shrimp cocktail was "elevated". The grilled shrimp were marinated and perfectly seasoned. The flatbread was good, topped with a drizzle of hot honey. The deviled eggs were yummy but I would rather the bacon on top didn't have a maple flavor to it. The meatball skillet was served with toasted bread slices, hearty marinara and dollops of ricotta. The meatballs were a little dry but we enjoyed it anyway. We will definitely plan on coming back to The Fort to try new items and for another pork sandwich. Great spot!
