Buyer Beware. I had the great displeasure of experiencing the craftsmanship and customer service from this less than reputable organization. I simply wanted my textured button down shirt dry cleaned while I was in town. I brought it in on Friday the 3rd, they told me they could have it done by Wednesday the 8th to which I said I would be leaving that Friday the 10th so i would need it sooner, Tuesday @ 3 i was to pick it up. I wasn't thrilled about how long it would take to have it done as every trustworthy company would have it done next business day (and most Saturday's), but apparently First Quality hordes all of their dry cleaning at the airport location to clean it there then send it back to each branch every few days. I assume in order to maximize the inconvenience factor for their paying customers.
The plot thickens on Tuesday at 3. I pay for the dry cleaning and take it to the car at which point my very observant wife and mother point out horrendous, uneven iron over spots, long bacon strips on each side seam, errors on the collar; sleeves; front; back; sides; and inside, (plus a stain they did not get out) clearly an unprofessional bit of work under any circumstance
So I go back inside and put my jacked up shirt on display for Melissa, the girl behind the counter to review. She must have been trained in stoic facial expressions by Zeno himself as this must be a common effect of their handy work, she had no reaction. I promptly ask to speak to the manager. Enter Gloria, the unit manager, only available to speak with me from a different workplace affording her little time to discuss or resolve my legitimate complaint. She determined, in a huff, her best course of action was to get in touch with the owner, Jeff, and have him contact me at the store I was waiting at in order to refund my money, as he is the only person with refund authority. Well Jeff made no such outreach of good faith to merely put forth the effort to make the call to me yet apparently proposed a solution to Gloria who then made no effort to inform me of this solution, I continued to wait. 15+ minutes go by and I kindly ask Melissa to contact Jeff for me, she calls Gloria.
While discussing a mutually beneficial outcome of this disaster it became clear Gloria had no intention of taking my claim seriously after she finally proposed her only solution, but not before berating me with the various bills her company pays for specific goods and services, I was to leave my shirt on Tuesday so they could look at it and try to fix the errors on Wednesday and maybe have it ready for me to pick up by that next Monday. Again, I informed Gloria that I was leaving on the 10th so the 13th wasn't going to work. Then she says Friday will work for her, I pointed out again I was leaving on Friday. Of course she finally relented and said she might be able to have it done by Thursday. Considering her and Jeff's lack of professionalism or attention to my needs I could not take the obvious chance of not receiving the shirt before I left town. Under the circumstances the only way to be guaranteed I would ever see that shirt again if I left it there would have been they could have cleaned it up and mailed it back to my home address. Gloria became incensed telling me: We're not going to do anything for you.
Needless to say First Quality Cleaners with Jeff and Gloria at the helm are clear models of how an unprofessional, disorganized, unhelpful, the customer is wrong philosophy operates. Congratulations, you have successfully launched an anger campaign for the low low price of $1.35.
If Yelp lets me post pics I will be doing so as I will gladly put on display here what I made sure to display and explain to all the customers who walked in and left while I stood in that little hole. read more
