He also installed a pressure relief valve while he was at it, which I hadn't thought to ask about but he flagged as something worth doing given the issue we had. He diagnosed the problem quickly, explained what was going on in a way that actually made sense, and got the repair done without any drama. The valve install was a nice touch since it should help prevent the same kind of failure down the road. Fair pricing, showed up when he said he would, and cleaned up after himself. I'd call Javier again for any irrigation work without hesitation.

He was very confusing about payments and spontaneous about what time or day he can do the job.. I put down a deposit in cash, he called me randomly to say he is free to swing by. Very naggy and pushy behavior. Not professional.

Jose's Landscape Services is exemplary. Jose is the only gardener I've used at my current home who…read morehas been able to keep my trees and bushes trimmed and weeds suppressed. That I say so speaks more to the difficulty of finding a good gardener in LA than to the size of my modest backyard. My two previous gardeners made promises they never delivered on. My weeds were always out of control and my trees were only superficially trimmed, if at all. In order to get any work done on the weeds or trees, I often had to argue with the gardener. I tolerated the situation for months, but finally had enough when they raised my service price despite failing to finish the job they'd promised to do. My basic requirements were simple and haven't changed to this day: Keep the grass mown, weeds suppressed, and bushes/trees trimmed. My previous gardeners promised extremely low prices and only mowed the lawn while largely ignoring the weeds and trees. Weeds, if ignored, will grow to the height of a child in short order. Before I finally switched gardeners to Jose, I had researched no fewer than 80 gardeners on Yelp -- no, 80 is not a typo. When I finally decided to give this service a try, Jose, to my pleasant surprise, delivered everything that was promised at a reasonable price. Jose has transformed my backyard; it feels like a place where I can relax and take in the fresh air rather than the jungle of weeds I used to walk out into. Yasser, the manager for Jose's service, is meticulous and tech savvy. He answered all my questions clearly and promised to document all my preferences regarding the work I had requested. I don't recall having to repeat any instructions. Sometimes, it's beneficial to try businesses that have no reviews yet. Had I not done so when looking for a new gardener, I wouldn't have discovered Jose's service. I look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with this business.

When I requested for Jose to come back to check the progress I never got a reply back. It's been a full month and still no reply through yelp, text, and company phone number. From the start of this project I was told that Jose does amazing work, but the photos show different. I understand that seeding may not come out with the best result, but 70% of the seeds grew weeds. The bad review is solely based on Jose's lawn service not holding up to the great service and bad communication with the customer. I'm sure I will get a reply back on here!

Cesar and the Solano Tree Service team were excellent. I had years of overgrown Juniper and…read moreRosemary bushes that were planted by the previous owners of our house. Cesar is the real deal…read more What started as a straightforward quick fix turned into a 3+ odyssey into why my drip irrigation wasn't working. Cesar and his team managed to find and fix everything wrong with the system: - Rewired my entire Rachio controller. The original installers had left behind what can only be described as a rat's nest of wiring. Caesar sorted it into something clean and actually traceable. - Replaced a failing valve that had been quietly wasting water, sputtering instead of shutting off properly. - Ran an entirely new line under the house to restore power to the back valve, since the old wire was not only broken but buried three feet down under turf and tarp aka basically unreachable for any future repair. He's a genuine jack of all trades and what impressed me most was that he didn't stop at the easy fix. He treated the whole system like it needed to actually work long-term vs. limping along until the next breakdown. Thanks to his work, if anything goes wrong down the line, it'll actually be possible to find and fix it - which, after seeing how the system was originally installed, feels like a minor miracle. Highly recommend Caesar for anyone whose irrigation system was "installed" rather than engineered. Worth every minute of that 3-hour odyssey.

Prompt followup, prompt responses, no pressure. If it was in my budget, I really would have given them a chance on their professionalism alone. I didn't have to 'chase' responses. They came timely. Not overwhelming. They have a very comprehensive price breakdown and payment schedule, so payment isn't all upfront but in increments as the job is completed. Even declining they remained professional. Thank you again Jesus for your patience! I wish you and your company success for the excellent customer service.

Sadly, based on this, I do not think I'm going to try a third time if I cannot even get them to call me for an estimate. This is not a good start. The second time was terrible. $200 for 20 minutes of incomplete work and a trashed garden. He lied about the price for work, discussed in weeks prior in person and by text. On the day he showed up, he said he would not do it without more money. This was to remove an existing pile of dead branches. I said don't cut the roses, and they were ruined. He actually ripped out a small rose bush and hid it in the trash. Grass cutting and branches left everywhere, debris blown not raked up. There are now sharp stems from weeds on every lawn, some 5" tall. Dangerous to step on. Photos don't lie. We now have days of work to clean up the disaster left behind. Don't hire Manuel, the first and second visits were clearly a bait and switch.
