Another part in my journey for the best pedicure in the north shore/Boston area. It was very easy to make an appointment online for a classic pedicure on a Monday morning. I went in and they told me to put my name on a list. I was booked for a pedicure with Di Tran but I'm not quite sure if that was the person that did my pedicure. It was very basic. They didn't really dig for ingrown toenails and that's something I struggle with so it's something I'm really looking for. They did a great job shaping and they were really gentle with my feet. The classic pedicure that I received included light callus removal with a pumice stone, exfoliation, and a massage. No hot towels or anything outside of what I just listed. The technician did an amazing job shaping and painting. I'm in awe really!! I'd go back on the shaping and paint job alone. read more

It's okay. I usually come here (on and off) because it's in close proximity to errands and such. $45 for a refill -- not sure where that price came from but I think it's a lot for a regular refill with plain color. In my opinion, they do their work quickly. I'm usually out of there in under an hour or an hour and a half. Sometimes two hours or so if I get a pedicure as well. The staff is pretty nice, I've never had issues with them. I think the make nail tech does designs but the other ladies don't. Be sure to let them know when you're booking your appointment. Try to ask for pricing over the phone and bring exact cash with your tip. They don't accept tips on cards, only in cash. If you forget the cash, they have ATM inside the salon. It's a $3.50 charge for the ATM. If you use your card to pay for service, it's a $3 fee which I thought is illegal but I'm not 100% sure. It is on a Main Street so you'll need to park in the lot on one of the one way streets. I've never had a problem parking there. I don't suggest parking at the CVS lot because you could get towed. Other than that, decent spot to go to if you need a fix me up here and there! read more

The gentleman who did my nails is well versed on the popular shapes and design trends, he applied my medium full-set with skill and precision. So happy I found this place! I booked an appointment a month in advance at one of the big chain nail salons (begins with m and ends in luxe) for full gel extensions and toes before a two week trip to the west coast. 30 mins before the appointment, after I had driven all the way there, they called and cancelled the entire service. To say I was upset and shocked was an understatement. I'd been going there for years and couldn't believe there was "nothing they could do". It was late afternoon on Labor Day so I called several places and no one could take me. Finally found First Class and at 5:45 they took me in even though they closed at 7 and did full dip with tips and a pedicure! And it was great. Great service, gorgeous nails and really nice people. So thankful to them for fitting me in. I would never go back to the chain. Oh and did I mention, also much cheaper. So reasonably priced!! This place is worth a shot. read more

She was a bit big, she wore a T-shirt and her hair pulled back in a bun. When she was done with the nail service, I asked her.."How much is the nail service"? She said..$45.00. This place was ok, nothing great. First, I was turned off that their credit card reader was out of order - of course it was. I am always skeptical of certain cash only at businesses, just makes me think they are sketchy but maybe because I am in banking profession and aware of all the tricks out there??? Second, the said could take me right away. Apparently right away meant soaking your feet for 45 minutes and waiting until employee showed. It wasn't until another employee clocked in and came over for my pedicure. At least I didn't soak an hour like the woman next to me. Third, they are so slow here. You would think slow equates taking their time, being meticulous and ensuring everything looks great. Nope the woman was trimming cuticle and then gouged my nail bed and it bled. Really??? My toe has been in pain all day. And she painted that toe really bad. God knows if they even sanitize their instruments. I can only pray they do. I will not return. I really loved my nails, until I went to soak them off and get them redone elsewhere and it took 3 hours because this salon used MMA. This is an illegal carcinogenic chemical that can cause you to even lose your fingers. I should've known by the cheap prices. Guess you really get what you pay for. this place literally sucks. they made my nails way longer than i told them to do, and i couldn't do anything about it. they kept telling me not too move when i wasn't even moving. they also got the color of my nails wrong. and they OBVIOUSLY have favorite customers. they literally made me bleed. it still burns hours later and i cried from the pain. the nails were extremely easy to break, it took no effort. my moms pedicure only lasted 10 minutes, but the lady next to hers lasted 1 hour. lastly, my sisters nails fell off 1. while sleeping 2. while opening a cabinet 3. eating a french fry 4. while looking for a remote. if you actually want high quality nails go to tip-top nails which is right across the street. i recommend dorothy if you're looking for designs. read more

I went in for a Gel Mani & Pedi on a Saturday morning... and there was no wait! Very clean space, & the staff was really friendly and ready for us once we walked in the door. The woman who did my pedicure was really gentle but thorough when my feet needed it! Britney, my nail tech, was great! She started working on my hands during my pedicure... So all I needed was the Gel applied by the time my feet were done. Not to mention she knows how to paint nails! (You'd be surprised how many techs can give great manicures but paint like children...) They had a lot of colors to choose from which is always a plus! My gel mani lasted 2 weeks and 2 days (with the exception of 2 chipped nails) until I removed them myself (I forgot to take a pic). I would've gave a 4.5 if it was an option, but being honest I have been to a few other nail salons with a little more to offer as far as experience. But the prices are a plus! Overall I do recommend First Class Nails, and actually made an appointment to return. =) read more

I've gone here a few times and honestly it seems to get worse every time. Their only saving grace is their daughter who's amazing at doing nails. Sadly she's off to college soon and won't be there as frequently I imagine. The rest of it is just... horrible. Typically I get my nails done closer to my apartment in the city, but come here when I'm home visiting my family. The first few times, all was well. Then as they started to recognize us we would be told to bring cash next time, don't pay with the card - it's too expensive for them. Every other nail salon I've ever been to allows me to pay with a card and tip with cash. Finally they stated adding a $5 fee to your final bill if you pay with your card. Most recently I went there and got a set of acrylic nails, asking for them to be a little long and almond shaped. The lady who did my nails cut and filed them SO SHORT, that the acrylics actually ended up being SHORTER than my natural nails. I asked her "These seem pretty short... I'm paying for acrylic so my nails can be longer. Can you make them longer?" She says, "It's okay it'll grow out." Not exactly a customer first attitude. If I'm paying for a service, I expect to get at least what I'm asking for? I say "I just think these are shorter than my natural nails, I'm not that happy with it." She says "They'll grow very quickly, don't worry." Finally I go to choose my nail polish color and go back and say "We really need to fix this, I don't mean to be a pain but this is not acceptable since I'm paying for it." So she starts to build off of it to make my nails longer using just the acrylic powder. Now I have giant chunks of acrylic under my nails the she didn't clean, the paint job is super sloppy and isn't painted around the edges of my nails, nail glue all over my fingers and skin, and dents from where the acrylic wasn't smoother as she built the nail out longer. On top of it, this guy comes in through the back door and is kind of just standing there. The workers acknowledged him and knew he was there. Out of no where, he starts going around to clients trying to sell some hats and scarves (looked like there was an Ugg tag on them) and some bags. What kind of reputable business has a random person trying to sell sketchy stuff in the mode of the day?? Suffice to say I won't be going there again. read more

I just moved to the area in April and my first visit was excellent and I have been going there ever since (even today). The place is always clean and the service has always been excellent. Someone always greets you with a smile and asks if they can help me. My first visit was with Anna and although she didn't speak much English, she always made me feel comfortable. She always did a fantastic job. She recently moved back to her country and I was disappointed because I loved her work. I wondered if I would get someone just as good as Anna. Today I was waited on by the owner. She also did an excellent job and she obviously knows her stuff. They truly are a FIRST CLASS business and I plan to continue giving them my business. Meh. I almost went to another nearby salon, but this one had better reviews (on google) so I picked this one instead. Went in for a much needed pedicure, but decided to get a manicure too, even though I do my nails myself and they were in pretty good shape. My pedicure came out great. Not a single complaint. My nails on the other hand? Not so much. First, the man who prepped my nails kept watching tv while using the... I don't know what it's called, the gritty rectangle cube thing... on my nails and cuticles. This resulted in him cutting me and drawing blood no less than three times. He filed my nails but didn't bother to make sure they were even, that the edge was filed cleanly, and he didn't clean out the debris he created that wound up under my nails. I don't know what products they use for a top coat, but I got my manicure on Friday and the top layer was gummy and sticky by Saturday, attracting any kind of lint it touched. It looks awful and I will need to fix it myself. Also - they accept credit cards but there is an extra $2 charge for credit, and you cannot tip on a card. Tl;dr: good pedicure, shitty manicure. I was a regular customer for about 1 yr and will never go there again. The male owner is extremely rude and a brute. I left there with several nails bleeding and never got an apology. Instead I was the one who had to ask for a piece of cotton and some alcohol to disinfect my nails and try to stop the bleeding. He looked frustrated with the whole thing, rushed to finished my nails, and insisted on trying to sell me more expensive service that I had to continuously decline. I went here on a whim because of a scheduling conflict with my usual salon. The salon was clean and the staff were nice. However, it has been about four days and my gel manicure is already having issues: the gel polish is already peeling, there are also uneven areas on my nails that shows the polish wasn't applied evenly and they didn't seem to care. The technician had to ask for help with the polish because I had asked for "cat eyes" polish and she didn't know how to use the device to make the effect. I also have a lot of left over, dead skin around my cuticles. I feel that I paid about $30 to have my nails painted because any evidence of a manicure is already gone. My nails look terrible. I never leave reviews but I really enjoyed my visit here. I got exactly what I asked for and my nail technician was kind and made great conversation with me during my appointment. There are a lot of color options at this nail salon. A women named Lily did my nails and she was amazing. Their staff is friendly and seem patient with their clients. Their prices also are very reasonable, especially considering the outcome of your nails when you are done wth your appointment. The salon is clean, the only thing that seemed a bit off was that the manicure station I was at had a paper towel that looked like it had already been used on a person before me. This is my second time going to First Class Nails and I like it. They have so many gel colors to choose from. They always open new tools and clean the area. The only bad parts are that multiple people work on you so its annoying for who you have to tip. The manicure stations have paper towels that look like they have been used throughout multiple people. The drying section is also where people are waiting so its tight. But my nails always come out very nice. read more

I came here only to get a pedicure. My appointment was at 3:30pm. I didn't get into the chair until about 4pm. I get that it was really busy, but they were clearly overbooked. I wasn't the only one waiting. When I got into the seat, they had me soak my feet while waiting. This was an additional 45 minutes. At this point, my feet were like raisins. So didn't start until 4:45pm.. Something I noticed while I was there was that they were a bit unsanitary. I came with my friend and one of the ladies put her hand in the water that their feet were in to fix something. Then, she started to set up for my pedicure with the same gloves on. So, my friend's feet juices were basically all over the stuff that they used for me. Another example was when one of the ladies was in the middle of the pedicure for my friend and she got up to do a cash transaction with another customer. She took the money from the customer, went into the register to get change, then gives the change to the customer. She didn't take off her gloves! Then, she continued to do the pedicure with the same gloves on. Am I just being a germ freak or does anybody else think this is gross? Anyways, the pedicure itself came out good, but I just saw way too much that I wish I didn't see. read more

Did a very very bad job still charge me even too coat came right off in front of them.
