I just got my nails done here for Valentine's Day and I cannot say enough about how awesome it was! Susan was so nice and did an amazing job on my nails for a super reasonable price!
I love this place! I come every time I visit my mom in Medford. The spa pedicure upgrade is only $7 additional dollars and they use exfoliating lotion, hot towels and hot stone. The staff are super nice and friendly. This is truly the best place in Medford!
Susan and the staff always do an amazing job! They are all very attentive and responsive to the requests I had. My nails were damaged at another salon and were very brittle -- Susan reassured on how they could help protect my nails and choose a color for the fall. This was my second time coming here with friends and it was a great experience. I look forward to coming back for my manicures. Princess Nails does do more gel and acrylic sets, so there is some chemical smell which may not be good for sensitive guests.
Clean, friendly and excellent Covid protocol and professionalism. I highly recommend. Splurge for extra massage time on a pedi or mani, it's worth it!
Called day of and they were able to squeeze me in for a quick dip manicure with design! Very nice staff and willing to take on challenges! They kept saying it might not look the same on the picture because everyone has a different skin tone, but I reassured her that it was fine continuously. It turned out way better than I expected! Everything was amazing, but they were a bit rough when shaping and removing cuticles. But not bad where some places make you bleed, not a deterring factor! She used nail art stickers instead of using gel on top of dip, and it still looks great! The sticker stayed on for a week and a half, but that's cause I use my hands on a daily basis for dishes, but if not I think it would've stayed stuck longer, dip is still looking great though!
Ok so I have to admit that I seldom leave reviews... if ever . I got my nails done by Danny today and every time I look at them I could cry! My nails are sooo beautiful and Fall ready! He knew what I needed today! During my pedicure after we caught up on the weeks that we haven't seen each other (I try to go biweekly) he suggested I treat myself to a design and I'm so happy that I did! Danny went ABOVE AND BEYOND and managed to come up with something that so matches my personality! (Which I take as he actually remembers our conversations lol RARE) I like to bring my friends or family members when I go and Princess Nails NEVER disappoints. Ladies, THEY PAINT THE CORNERS OF YOUR NAILS! That attention to detail is everything for me. The prices are way better than most if not all in the area and the friendly and personable people has earned them my loyalty Bonus: They take Venmo But tip in cash They are sooo worth it
Updated October 4, 2019 Came to this beautiful nail salon once again and there are new owners, Susan and Dany who were just amazing! They have painted and updated some of the furniture. They are very accommodating and make you feel very welcome. They offer complimentary water bottles while they work on your nails. The salon was nice and clean as well as inviting :) Dany did my nails. He was easy to talk to and did a fantastic job on my gel manicure. Jenny did my friends nails and pedicure. She was through and spent the time to get them perfect. We will definitely be back and will tell all our friends! Ten stars for this place!!!!! I came in with a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago and just absolutely loved this place! I got a gel manicure here :) Philip did my nails and was very careful to pay attention to detail which was great for me because I love my nails perfect (as perfect as they can be, aka, no lumps etc...) It was the end of the night so Yvonne did my design and finished off my manicure with a nice hand massage. They were both super sweet. Their place was clean and inviting. I would definitely go back and will be back once I'm in the area again!
Do yourself a favor and GO HERE. Friendliest owners and staff, skilled nail techs, they do a fantastic job with every service! so happy to have the best salon close to home! I will be back per routine in 3-4 wks
Nice Nails and Waxing Salon. I went in on a Saturday morning for a walk-in waxing service. The staff quickly was able to provide eyebrow and lip wax, and learned that they do full-body waxing (legs, arms, back etc) and I was able to pay with tip on my card. They also accept Venmo and CashApp.
Princess is my favorite place to go to get a mani pedi!! I've been going for years and they are the nicest people in the world. The salon is clean, they honor their appointments (no waiting for forever), the technicians are talented, and the prices are fair! My manicures last for weeks and if I ever damage a nail I can go back and they'll fix it for me. I've tried other nail places in the area but Princess always comes out on top!
Luv Susan, Danny & ginger. Started going there after snagging at Enoch taco or two. Love their professional attn to details.
I've been getting my nails and waxing done here for the last few months now. I am very pleased with the attentiveness of the owner and staff. The owner is very good at remembering what i like to get done before i even ask! They always ask me if i am comfortable and if i am satisfied with my nails/waxing. They are also very appreciative of repeat customers. I highly recommend going to Princess Nails in Medford Square.

Princess Nails took good care of my feet, hands and nails today. Callous removing w a rasp and pumice stone. My callouses are tough. My feet and legs looked and felt fantastic. A great sugar type exfoliation. The hot stone massage on my feet and legs, it was nice. Lee was great, also very experienced w pedicure and manicure. Prices are spot on. The two other manicurists were pleasant and customers were already lined up by my 11:00a appt. Princess Nails must be doing a great job and word is out. My traditional manicure came out great w attention to detail and nice shaping of the nail. The shop is located within Medford Sq. w plenty of meter parking. The shop is clean and organized. Plastic liners are in the foot basins and replaced. read more

I went to princess nails and I am disabled in a power chair. I came to have a mani/pedi and I couldn't even understand what they were saying they were talking to each other and I said can you please speak English! She then told me that I had to pay with cash and I saw the credit card machine I told her I don't carry cash and she wanted me to go to the bank I said no and asked her why she didn't take credit cards and she said it's easier for her to take cash. 2 days later my nails were chipped. I am going back to get a new manicure!!!! read more

I have been to many nail salons but this one feels like home. The owners and employees there are all super sweet and welcoming. I usually see Trammie and Susan. Both amazing!!! Now I just found out that one of the owner, Danny, is also awesome at what he does. He is meticulous and professional and I couldn't be any happier. They always go out of their way to schedule me in last min. So thank you for the great job you did on my nails! read more

Oh my gosh. Where do I begin? I found this place via Google. I was long overdue and normally go down the cape. I decided to try here as it had great reviews. Jenny (think that is her name) was great! Very attentive. I met the owner who was very nice. Both were welcoming and made sure I was happy with my nails. From the massage chairs to the foot massages, I think I have found my new favorite spot. Highly recommend!! read more

Not a fan. Made an appointment for two dip manicures for me and a friend for 6pm. When we got there they did her nails and then mine, didn't get started till 6:40pm and my friend had to wait the whole time for me to finish, very annoying for both of us. Their nail tools are not sterile and when they did my cuticles it hurt on every nail. Also the dip was quite thick and the filing was terribly uneven. read more

I started getting my nails done at Princess Nails when I moved to Somerville in 2008. Even when I moved to Tewksbury for 2 years I'd make the drive back to Medford to get my manis and pedis. I typically get gel manicures and pedicures and boy do they last! They've always done a beautiful job. You also get a few really nice perks that most nail salons charge extra for like hot stones and callus removing gel with your pedicure, free gel polish removal and hot towels. But one of the first thing that really struck me about Princess Nails was their customer service. They really make an effort to learn their customers names and they remember things you chat about and will bring it up at your next visit. It may not seem like much, but it makes me feel good to be greeted by name. Yvonne and Philip are so sweet and friendly and really make the effort to make people feel welcomed. I would highly recommend Princess Nails. Do yourself a favor next time you need your nails done or want to do something nice for yourself, give Yvonne a call :) read more

Outstanding! I needed a new salon and man, did this place exceed expectations. When I walked in I was offered a water, a phone charger (my phone died), and even the Netflix remote to control the TV. Susan reviewed the options/prices with me carefully before we started. Prices are fair for the area, in my opinion. The mani pedi with Susan was very good--- relaxing, meticulous, clean. They accept Venmo. Appointments or walk-ins both accepted. I will be back for sure!! read more

Susan took great care of me, I made a same day appt for a gel manicure on Labor Day expecting it to be busy but it was very quiet which I was really happy about. She was very friendly and did my nails efficiently and cleanly. My cuticles have bled at numerous salons before but she didn't nick me once despite me already having a cut on a finger. Will probably make this my new go-to salon! read more

My last gel mani lasted 3 weeks with no peeling! (I'm not very gentle on my nails either...) The owners are very friendly! I don't get my nails done very often but grateful this place is close by for when I want to treat myself. read more

One word: SLOPPY. I'm baffled by the good reviews, this place is a dump. It's dirty inside, and no surprise, that should have been my first clue that this salon simply does NOT have an eye for detail. The owner, Yvonne I believe was her name, did my nails, and honestly they looked better when I came in than when I came out. The acrylic is lumpy and the polish is uneven, half of it is on my cuticles. Sadly I chose red gel polish, so the mistakes are even more apparent. When I asked for her to fix each detail I noticed looked off along the way, she tried to oblige, but she literally couldn't see what I was talking about. Sorry, but it's never a good sign when your nail technician wears reading glasses and moves your hand around to try and focus...She also cut me to the point where I'm bleeding in several places. I can't really distinguish what is blood or nail polish at this point. Furthermore, I had called the day prior to make an appointment the next morning. Yvonne insisted that they were busy the next day but she could fit me in if I came at 9:45 before they opened at 10:00. She double checked that I would definitely make that time, and I promised I would. As it turned out, no one showed up to even open the shop until 9:55, on a freezing cold January day when it is FIVE DEGREES outside. When I got in, we got down to business and I had to keep my coat and scarf on the whole time because the heat wasn't on! At the end, I told her I can't in good conscience pay the full price for this experience. She proceeded to grab my hand, pull me over to another customer in the middle of a manicure, and put that customer on the spot by asking what that customer thought of her work. I told her it's not fair to put other customers in this position, and that I also do not think it's fair to charge me full price, and cited all the reasons about why this has been a terrible experience. She insisted I owed her $38, so I paid her with American Express, who I know will get my money back and is intolerant of bad business experiences like these. Needless to say, that is my first and last time at this place. Good luck and good rittance. read more
