this the look of a busy shop!!!! 5 hours minimum wait for an alignment WITH AN APPOINTMENT.
    Chris B.

I set up an appointment through the app for an alignment at 9 am, i arrived at the store 15 minutes prior to my appointment and i was greeted by Joseph the Manager of this store. I informed him that i have an appointment at 9 am for an alignment and he said that the vehicle will not be ready the earliest at 2pm maybe later!!! For an alignment? He said that there was 4 cars ahead of me which i dont see in their showroom and in the bays of the shop and only had 1 tech. So i politely declined and all i got was a sorry about that. Yeah i dont think you are. Just because its a free alignment i get put back in the back burner. They dont care if you took a day off to take care of this, they just want to keep your car as long as they can because its a free service. I will take this to the higher up, better business bureau and the BUREAU OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR, because they dont seem to take complaints serious now a days, thats why this business is dying. I want a refund for all the vehicles with lifetime alignment.

They drained my oil on drop off for my lifetime alignment. My oil % is 70% prior to arrival. And now my oil is dangerously low after i left
    Loyd M.

Be wary of this firestone business practice. If you do a drop off they can drain your oil, fluids or even drain your battery. And recommend you to have it all done unnecessary. I was there for a lifetime alignment and my oil was drained with 1qt left. They did a "courtesy service check" which is there normal tactic to touch your car and find ways to make unnecessary repairs. My car only had less than a few hundred miles until it was oil changed. So it was almost impossible to have it that low. My oil % was at 70% at the time. Then i see the how they would charge me for the oil which was not factory recommended. They refused to finish my alignment even though it was the service i paid. The workers involved were danny, jose, ray, lino (technician), joseph (manager). Joseph got defensive when asked where would the oil have leaked too. My car has no leaks and was recently serviced at honda. They wanted to charge me for an engine air filter. I have an aftermarket intake? that they wont be able to change at all...So why charge me or even qoute me. Or even bring it up? Fraudulently charged again. They were going to charged me for cabin filter also. That was already replaced by honda 1k miles ago? They clearly didnt check. Fraudulently charged again. I advise for you to stay and watch how they work on your cars. Multiple complaints occur from this shop. Report has already been established with BBB and Firestone corporate. The business model needs to change in this location and it starts with leadership. If Joseph had a honest business practice the shop will have a better reputation.

    Empty alignment area

This place stinks, with an appointment once onsite I was told it would take 2-3 hours because there backed up, the place was empty. Avoid this place all cost. Follow up to LEE S. the owner whose only recourse is asking the customer to email the complaint, none of which includes a follow up by the ownership: Customer: I've been in contact with them all day long with the complaint, I see this is your stock answer to complaints, as an owner what action will you take? Nothing, I ended up going to La Habra and they completed the alignment in 45 minutes. This location continues to provide poor service.

PRO-TIP: Go online and make an appointment! Due to being fisted by normie life, unless I get a break, I can only get my car looked at on weekends and boy do they get busy on weekends! I had an appointment for a really early timeslot, 8 AM (which is when they open I believe) and there was already a line of people behind me from the service counter to the door. I don't think there is ever the possibility of having your car looked at and it not costing a pretty penny. But there is a difference between that and a business obviously scamming you *cough* Puente Hills Nissan Dealership *cough*. Firestone lets you know what's up with your car (I literally put the reason of the appointment - unsure and just described the issue), let's you know what repairs are necessary for safety, and what other repairs are optional but can be done at a later time. Many of the issues that I've had for months were remedied fairly quickly in the couple hours that I have left my car here and my car was ready for the road immediately after. If I can drag my car all the way to my car guy in SGV, this is the next best option.

Alignment Report shows prior alignment that was done at Walnut location on top and alignment that was done at LA location on bottom

Don't get your alignment done here! We need reimbursement!! My boyfriend took his car in to get an alignment and oil change. We arrived at 10 am. Staff was friendly and courteous and the oil change was done perfectly. Everything took about 2 hours overall. Not bad until we pulled off and made a right turn, we noticed the DBC malfunction light came on and the car was consistently veering to the right. My boyfriend got another alignment two days later at a Firestone location in Los Angeles. The mechanic explained the report he gave us which showed how bad the alignment was done prior which made his job even more difficult and made our service wait time much longer than necessary all so he could make both the wheel and the tires drive straight again. We will never be taking our car back to the Walnut location for an alignment in the future! The LA Firestone mechanic even asked if we had been in an accident because of how bad it was, he could barely get the tire back on on the driver's side! Due to the improper alignment, damage was done to the roters, brakes and suspension. We ARE expecting reimbursement for these damages!

    Awesome new tires.

When I called, the associate was very helpful and was even able to add my vehicle as checked in which helped with immensely with my time frame. Check in was easy when I arrived, and they finished my vehicle in the time promised. However, I had to turn back after I had already left because they did NOT give me back my car wheel lock key. No only was it annoying to have to circle back and park but the also didn't check. If they're detailed professionals they wouldn't have given my wheel lock key to another, similar vehicle. Also I had to stop another associate to ask him to verify they this key truly is mine and fits my wheel locks. He was nice enough to assist. The last bit came a week later when I got my car serviced. My mechanic shop mentioned a tire balance and rotation notification on my dash. I informed them that I had just taken my car for two new tires so all that should have already been taken care of. Still, I said where they could find my wheel lock key in case they needed to perform the service. The mechanic shop ended up calling me to tell me they indeed had to rotate my tires because my two newest should've been placed up front, but they were not. I do not plan to return to this Industry location if I can hep it. I've never had any of these concerns at the West Covina or Glendora locations, and I've been a customer for over 20 years

He was busy with 3 cars when I came, but he still took a moment to greet me and when his hands were free, he came over to find out what I needed. He wasn't able to source used OEM wheels for my car, but he told me if I needed the exact tires for me car, I could get my wheels and tires and bring them there, and he would install them. He even shared where I can get them for a good deal. So a few days later, I returned with new wheels and new tires. Of course Andy was busy with two cars, but he got to me fairly quickly. Long story short, Andy masterfully installed my new wheels and tires and even prepared my old wheels and the barely salvageable 2 tires for me to take home (I might try to sell some and maybe keep some as backups). *LONG READ, BUT A TRUTHFUL AND DEFINITIVE REVIEW*…read more "You never get a second chance to make a good first impression" is a common saying that applies to many aspects of life, especially in business. Unfortunately, my first (and definite last) impression of La Puente Tires was atrocious. My experience was full of red flags. Notably, the reception is rude, their practices seem suspect, and their service is mediocre at best. That day, my tire was flat, and I noticed a nail in it. I called AAA, and the driver who aided me recommended a nearby tire shop that offered cheap services: La Puente Tires. Excitedly, I drove over, pulled in, and parked. Because it was my first time there, I walked into the reception area where I was greeted by... no one. I saw a large woman in yellow sitting and approached her, asking if I could have my tire patched. She said, somewhat exhaustedly, to pull in front of the reception building, then pull in to a free spot in front of the repair area. Her tone put me off because when another customer (most likely a regular) arrived, she treated them exponentially differently. However, for the most part, I brushed this interaction off. After I parked at the open spot, one of the men signaled that I wasn't supposed to be parked there, and they seemed confused. This was the first red flag: the reception and repair had no communication, and the mistake was placed on me. So, I drove back to the waiting area. While I was waiting, I checked their reviews and saw they were polarizing. The reviews I had a chance to glance at were either extremely negative (one-star) or glowing (five-star). That was the second red flag I noticed. When it was finally my turn, the woman condescendingly told me to park next to a truck in front of the repair area. After I told the repairman I needed my tire patched, he quickly went to work, which was amazing. I quietly observed how the repairmen worked, and it seemed impressive as everyone worked on something, and the overall atmosphere felt upbeat. It was pleasant until I noticed some of the signs they had posted. One sign in particular was unusual. It stated that they were not responsible for any damage done to your tire during their service. This doesn't make sense because this is a tire shop, and they work intimately with your tire, and mistakes are bound to happen. Also, when I looked more closely, I saw they handle the tires haphazardly. So that was the third red flag in my mind. The fourth red flag occurred when the repairman started talking to me about my tire. A worker waved me over and told me that they couldn't fix my tire. The reasoning they gave me was, "[My] tire was bad," as they pointed to the hole in my tire where the nail had been. I accepted this answer because of the language barrier between the worker and me; however, when I asked again, he flagged a couple of workers who spoke English to explain it. They reiterated that my tire was "bad" and had "low air," while pointing to the hole the nail had left. Obviously, if you pull the nail out of the tire, it will begin to hemorrhage air pressure. So, yet again, I asked *why* my tire was bad, and they started pushing a used tire or a new one on me. I promptly refused, so they put my clearly flat tire back onto my car to show some evidence that my tire was "bad." It was clear that I wasn't amused, so the repairman finally patched my tire. While he was doing so, I asked once more why my tire was bad, but I never got an answer. Instead, he was exchanging glances with another customer and laughing. The actual patching of my tire took around 2 minutes, and at the end, the repairman pulled out a translator and explained that he thinks I should get my tire changed. During the duration of me pulling up to the spot in front of the repair area, the 15 or so minutes I stood waiting while they did whatever on my tire, to the 2 minutes it actually took to patch my tire, I never got the answer as to why my tire was "bad." I then went back to the reception area, where the repairman explained something to the large woman, and I paid my $20. She also reiterated that my tire is bad and that I have to get it replaced, without ever explaining why. Before I left, the woman sitting to the large woman's right kindly offered to get pricing on new tires, but I declined. While I was driving home, I called my dad to ask about my tire situation. He came home, examined all my tires, and gave me a genuine reason as to *why* my tire needed to be replaced. The entire process with my dad took 5 minutes. If my dad could explain it to me so simply and concisely, why couldn't the *actual* repairmen do so as well? Ultimately, I rated this tire shop a 1/5 stars because it's the lowest I could and they *did* patch my tire as I asked. The overall unprofessional manner of the repairmen and receptionist, and the other reasons I mentioned, made my experience one I wish never to have again.

While waiting for AAA to change out the tire with the spare, I scrambled to reschedule my doctor's appointment in Brea, while canceling my meeting in Chino Hills and dinner plans with my daughter in Monterey Park. I was supposed to be everywhere that day but ended up stuck going nowhere. I went on Yelp to find the closest tire shop that had the cheapest tire available same day because I wasn't feeling comfortable going back on the freeway on a spare. I was able to secure a tire for about $145 (tire, fees, and tax) on Tire Choice's website and also made an online appointment to get it replaced within the hour. I was mentally exhausted and just really wanted to head home and worry about searching for deals on better sets of tires later. When I got to Tire Choice, I was quickly greeted by Gina at the front. I told her exactly what I wanted to get done to avoid wasting her time hoping to up sell me better tires, and she got the message that I really just wanted to be able to quickly get back on the road again without pressuring me into changing all four of my tires. Gina was a doll and very pleasant to converse with. She was able to effectively multitask (answering phones, getting quotes for other customers, giving instructions to the mechanics), while we shared stories about our kids (my children and her fur babies). I think I spent 20 minutes max there and my tire was done. I was so happy! My overall experience at Tire Choice Auto Service Center in Diamond Bar was amazing.
