I bought the lifetime alignment service at this location a few months back, but didn't get the alignment that day. I took my car in for an alignment today and i have to say the service went smooth. There were no questions asked about my car (since i have aftermarket suspension), unlike other places *Cough* West Covina Firestone *Cough* and the mechanic Joseph did a great job. This lifetime alignment also includes a courtesy check on the vehicle, which is very handy since they noticed my battery was low and i needed to top off my coolant. Joseph also went ahead and checked my tire pressure/tread and noticed the psi was a bit high and asked me what i wanted it to be set at. I had nothing but a great experience coming to this location and will be returning here whenever I need an alignment again. read more

When I was about to pay they where charging me more that what was stated over the phone and told me that bcuz I requested to use a more expensive kind of oil, which I didnt. They just told me that theres nothing that the could do. This place is not trustworthy. read more

I called to see if this location could patch my tire today and was told I would need to wait a little bit but they can do it. I drove 15 minutes to this location to have it done and was told I would need to drop it off and come back around 5pm. Their communication needs improvement as I was given the wrong impression and wasted my time. So let me start by saying we took our vehicle here to have a tire replaced, shortly after it was installed things went south real quick, "like 15 miles later". Needless to say I wasn't happy about the situation. I called firestone the following day to address the issue and I spoke with the manager Jose, I was extremely surprised as to how fast he acted and took control of my situation. Jose understood the value of customer service and made my situation good. As he should have done! I've been coming here for YEARS and have never had a problem. I anticipate the wait time and always drop my car off. Always get a call when ready and pickup with no issue. I get lifetime alignment on my cars. I also get ny tires here so when I get my oil change I get alignment and rotation done. Not sure how this place has so many negative reviews, but I've been coming for at least a decade and have not had a single issue I can think of. read more

Every time I've come in for service for my cars, the staff welcome you right away and tell you they'll be right with you if they're helping another customer. I usually deal with Richard Lopez (the manager) or Amanda - they are always super friendly and helpful. I've come in for service for brakes, radiator problems and oil changes. They are pretty good about the time quoted for ther service job. There's a TV in the waiting area and coffee which helps pass the time if you stay to wait. This place can never find the issue I explain to them. They don't feel the steering wheel wobble upon breaking. After receiving the car automatically feel it when I'm breaking for a stop sign. Went in to just get my tire patched up because had a nail in it. Take it an Itty bitty nail they said they couldn't do it because it was too close to the edge complete bs. They wanted me to buy a whole new tire. I said no and went to get a second opinion at tucker tire in covina. I told the worker that Firestone wanted me to get a whole brand new tire. He laughed and said the tire is totally fixable. Took them all of 15 minutes and they fixed it. With that said be careful here at this Firestone they will try and rip u off. If u can always get a second opinion. They are crooked here and want your money. I recommend tucker tire in covina they're much more up front and honest unlike the workers at Firestone who try to take u for a fool. read more

I came to this walnut location because RICHARD LOPEZ JR transferred over here to this location. He was at West Covina store. His service has always been amazing it's because of him I've purchased tires for three different cars and get regular services done at firestone complete auto care. I found out he moved to this location so I took the drive to get my oil change and like always Richard always happy and cool took care of me. I'll be needing new shocks all around soon so he gave me quote and I'll be back soon to have everything done here. Dropped my daughters car off for brakes at around $280 for all four wheels, the mechanic calls back and tell me all 4 rotors need to be changed that the price is now $700- Wow!!!!! I told him no! And told him I'll pick my car up-I hung up and a minute later he calls and said he had another option, well at this point I had lost all my trust so I told him no we will pick it up. Drove to La Puente tired, guy calls back and said 1 rotor is bad but the other three he can turn-which is the opposite from what Firestone said, I picked the car up after a couple hours complete job $315.00 including the new rotor. Much more honest people that don't feel like they need to up sell and also family owned! Stay away from Firestone- they have quotas they need to meet so they will rip you off! read more

I mainly come to this location to do oil changes. They've always been super polite, honor my appointment times, and are extremely helpful. This morning I was helped by Andrew in the front. He got me checked in and the tech (I didn't get his name) had gotten the job completed quickly. I did end up coming back later on to get my brake fluid exchanged as well. I had scheduled the service for tomorrow, but Danny had called and was transparent about a staffing issue and could not guarantee my car being done that same day. But he gave me options so that way my car would be good for an upcoming road trip. Some people are cool here, the rest are con artists. All will rip you off. Tires and service is overpriced, and they always miss their promised deadline. The only reason I am writing this review is I am cleaning out my files and I found my old paperwork from a year ago, and I remember how bad this place is. In February of 2015, I went in for my lifetime alignment since my car was pulling badly. I went in for a much needed alignment, and they just pretended to do it. How do I know this? Because the car came out unusually fast for them (30 minutes when they usually take forever) and the printout was just a generic printout stating what the alignment tolerances should be (I have seen their real paperwork plenty of times). Well driving it home I find out ,yep, the alignment is screwed up in the exact same way as before. I come back a few days later and the same guy who helped me complained and complained, making every excuse in the world. Eventually, he told me the machine was broken the last time. If that was indeed true, I don't know why he gave me 5 minutes of BS before admitting it. Also, that same time there was a clueless lady in front of me, who also had an alignment improperly done. Instead of admitting any fault, he claimed that she needed a camber kit (which he probably upsold to her after) and told her, and I quote "well, ALL cars need a camber kit." Really? All cars need a camber kit? I've sold camber kits (and other things) for about 20 years, and I have NEVER heard of such a claim. I wish I could remember his name. The paperwork says Richard, which seems right since he definitely looked like a D***. He is the half-white half asian looking guy who seems to be the Saturday manager, or at least he was a year ago. If you see him there, run away. FAST. Even if it's an emergency, there are tons of car shops in the plaza behind there that are worth the extra push. I have only ever brought my cars here when I absolutely needed to (they are close), but that last fiasco soured me forever. If you need tires, go to Wal Mart or Costco. If you need an alignment, drive the extra few miles to Bear Frame and Wheel in Glendora. They know what they are doing AND they are cheaper. read more

Dropped of the car to get 4 new tires, I made it a point to say i don't have time to wait around since i have things to do. They said no problem i will be about an hour. So i had a friend pick me up did some quick errands came back about an hour and 20 minutes later. They were barely going to start on it. As i walked in they are like OH we were just about to call you, We are just going to start working on your car and it will be about another 45 minutes. I had to cancel all the services and walked out very unhappy. But i got got cheaper and better tires elsewhere :) so it all worked out! So we sorta know one of the mechanics at this location and he's a nice guy. When my girlfriend has taken her car in, he's treated her fairly well. Whenever she's gone in and dealt with anyone else, they recommend unnecessary service, don't actually do what they are asked, take overly long, etc. The final straw was the last time we went in for a free lifetime alignment, tire rotation and an oil change. Pretty simple. Except, they refused to do the alignment or the rotation and tried to get us to do 600 dollars in unnecessary 'repairs.' It was insulting. We got the oil change done elsewhere. We asked if we needed any of that other work done and were told no. If you feel like playing mechanic roulette, go here. Better yet take a hundred bucks out of your bank account, find an a$$hole you know and give it to him to kick you in the nuts; it'll cost less and won't hurt any more. read more

Took my car to numerous places that could not identify my problem so I took it to Firestone. Jacob specifically took his time to check my car and fixed my issue in a matter of hours. Mechanic hit the lift with the bottom of my car as he was taking it in. No biggie. But dude, at least be careful with your customers cars. I got quoted for 1400$ for a clutch replacement. Damn. They did keep the car until the next morning when i had it towed to get it looked at another shop. I paid less than 700 for a much more respectable family owned shop thats been in business more than 3 decades a few miles away. Check options first before choosing to do bigger jobs with these guys. Lifetime Alignment is their best deal. Other than that, look elsewhere. read more

I want to share I had a very good experience with Firestone at this location. Richard, the Assistance Store manager friendly and 1st class Custom Service attitude impressed me and made me a repeat customer of Firestone at this location. I had a "kind of emergency" situation with my car tires. I called Firestone and 2 others company to get a quote to replace my 4 tires and Richard gave me a great price for 4 good Firestone tires and promise to replace the tire by the next day Sunday before 1 pm. I sensed the empathy he had for me as I told him I need the car the next day. The other 2 companies were not able to get the tire replaced until earliest Monday. I drove my car to Firestone that day, left the car there overnight and he met his commitment and got the tires replaced before 1 pm. He called me ahead and provided great service throughout. I left my car for minor service. They estimated a time of two hours, so I went home. I received a call from one of the techs that one of my brake lights was not working. He quoted me a price and I refused the service believing I could fix it myself. I arrived to pay for my car and noticed they had charged me for "topping off" several fluids. I disputed the charge since I had recently inspected and filled everything. Before I left I asked my wife to step on the brakes so I could check the brake light that was "Broken" Both brake lights worked fine. It appears it was just an attempt to rip me off. I have not returned since, and I feel bad for those folks that don't know any better. Richard. This guy is amazing. I came in because on my way to work one of my tires had a hole and it was about time to swap out my tires anyways. He took the time to answer any questions I had about the tires I needed. I came in here looking for a specific set of tires and he was able to order them and have them installed the next day. He gave me a great price on them, had them installed and aligned ready to go the next morning AS PROMISED! It was amazing!!! My steering is back dead on center, the tires feel phenomal. He was so honest and truthful, and just gave suggestions alternatives. Never tried to push anything. It's really worth your time coming in and just even getting their opinion. I had made an appt for Sunday morning 8am, 2 weeks ago. I got there 15minutes before 8am. I heard someone inside. At 8am, the garage doors roll up. Gentleman sees me waiting. I patiently wait as he opens door to lobby. I walk in. He askes, can I help you. I said I have an appt. He says sorry, he has no mechanics until at least 9am. I asked why didnt you call me to so I did not drive all the way over here. He said he was about to make calls. Make the calls after you had open especially when you were there before 8am and you saw me standing there. I asked for the name of the manager. He refused to give me the name. I asked for the regional manager. He refused to give me a name. This is the 4th Firestone I have tried. Are they all lacking in customer service and qualified mechanics (don't get me started on the quality of work). I called customer service after leaving, made my complaint and was told I would get a call back within 2 days. It is now just about 2weeks. The service was good except at this time of this corona virus pandemic, one of the staff, was at first wearing his mask not covering his nose, when I went back to pick my car, he's totally not wearing mask at all. He was sniffling and has a bit of cough as I observed. He also was talking to another staff who was not wearing a face mask at all. This was yesterday afternoon, June 25. As many times I have been there for different car issues Hugo and his team have always handled my situations with a smile!! As a customer that means a lot to me. They serviced my vehicle with all possibilities and always were willing to go beyond the distance to make sure they were able to fix it. And now my car is running great cause of them.
