While Firestone wasn't able to repair my tire that had a screw in it due to the placement of the screw, I'd still recommend them. John, at the front desk was super helpful and even stayed calm, cool, & collected when some other customers weren't being so nice. Worst experience I've had with an auto shop I would strongly caution anyone considering Firestone Complete Auto Care. I brought my vehicle in for service, and what should have been a straightforward repair turned into a series of broken promises and wasted time. I was repeatedly told different times to pick up my vehicle, only for each "ready for pickup" time to pass with no call, no explanation, and no vehicle ready. Because of these constant delays and false assurances, I ended up missing a day and a half of work, costing me both time and income. Communication was poor throughout the entire process, and each time I tried to get an honest update, I was met with conflicting information from different employees. I expect transparency and accountability when trusting a business with my vehicle and my time, and Firestone failed on both fronts. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you value your schedule, your livelihood, and your peace of mind. read more

Dropped my vehicle off on Friday the 19th was there Friday Saturday it was supposed to be done on Sunday. No call nothing I had to call them twice. They told me by close of business. I would get a call well they closed on Sunday. No call no car totally unsatisfactory. Don't take your car there. It might be complete service but they're complete. So I have had my vehicle in four times over four months first ac compressor and check for a wobble while driving resulting in a balance and rotation... week or so later back in for the wobble which was not fixed and a/c repair resulting in "loose control arm or bent spindle another 1100$ recommendation". With a mention of oh your rim is bent. They recommend doing it all at once to make sure but cannot get a wheel they are on back order ". When I pick it up this time I asked why the rim wasn't found during the balance no answer.... I also call while still in the parking lot and get a wheel from hall Honda be in three days. So we have a crew of expert technicians who cannot locate parts, lie about balancing tires and are generally ambiguous about diagnosing issues to get the average person to pony up more for no reason. So my ac works and after spending 500$ on a balance and control arm replacement which may or may not have actually happened my car still had the same wobble. I just spent 225$ having the new tire put on and the wobble is gone. At the end of the day most mechanics take extreme liberties with the public and get away with it. This a shop around and find a locally owned private mechanic who takes pride In customer service and is in it to make a living not a franchise that has stake holders recommendation. Just super disappointed in the lack of transparency and respect.... We work hard for our money and don't need to throw it away on Un-necessary repairs. read more

Save your money, time, and energy. This place is absolutely the worst. I've never had to take my car here (because I actually care about my vehicle and its safety), but I've dropped off multiple friends and family members. The anger, irritation, and frustration they leave the Firestone building with is truly disheartening. Complaints include: 1.) inflated prices for repairs, and 2.) cars leaving the shop only to suffer further damage from the shoddy work done. They'll "try" to fix it, promising everything will be fine, but what they won't tell you until it's too late is that the mechanic was never qualified to address the problem--or the new problems they created. I could keep going about the issues here, but I think I've made my point. Spare yourself the headache and go ANYWHERE else. read more

Been to this location a handful of times and most recently for a cracked radiator which had to be replaced. They fix and replace tires, do oil changes, alignments, and lots of other work. I had a confirmed appointment via email on October 30 at 12 p.m. I arrived on time and was told by a young man at the desk, "there will be an additional 1-2 hour wait for my vehicle to get new tires put on because one of the mechanics broke his hand. Whether that was true or made up, I should've been informed prior to my arrival that the wait time had doubled. I had new tires delivered to Firestone several days before my arrival and was expecting to be in and out within 1.5 hours or less. I was very disappointed with the supervisor (John) whom I spoke with earlier that morning and who assured me I'd be taken care of. I took my tires to Beach Automobile Service Center on Birdneck Road and they professionally and promptly; removed/disposed of the old tires, and mounted/balanced my new tires without excuses and or broken agreements. Just a warning. Do not leave your vehicle here over night. Had two tires replaced and I missed the phone call to pock my vehicle up and when I went back the next day someone tried to steal the catalytic converters from under my car. There are no cameras at this location and firestone is not going to pay for anything. Recently went to a muffler shop because firestone doesn't do that and found out it is going to cost me over $1,300. Remember they store costumers cars at the rear and no cameras in sight. Just one at the thrift store next door which doesn't capture anything in this direction. I was a long time customer, 8 years or more. Had 4 new tires put on my 2023 truck. Tire kid damaged 3 of the 4 wheels. Small chips, not sure if it was from his impact wrench or what he did. (See my review on Google, I posted pictures). Also, he didn't change the valve stems, but they still charged me for it, probably thinking I wouldn't know and probably do this all the time. Just know that if they damage something or don't do the job correctly, they will not apologize and they will not rectify the situation. I took it to corporate and they cared just as little as this location on General Both Blvd. I had always heard bad things about Firestone in the past, but never had any issues at this one. I have noticed that employees seem to change quite often the last year or so. They certainly have gone down hill. Gonna take my business elsewhere, just sorry I spent all that money on the lifetime alignments on all 4 of my vehicles. But honestly I'm not sure they even know how to do those correct, I've seen many online complaints about how bad they are with alignments. I guess I should be happy that is so they messed up and now I can move on before anything worse happens to one of my vehicles. read more

I have never had to leave a bad review, so this is serious enough for me to do this. I brought my car to Firestone in September to get an inspection, brake pads and synthetic oil change before I went out of town. My car started smoking a little out of the tail pipe when I started it and then on my way back from SC my oil light started coming on and then off. As soon as I got home, I brought it back to firestone. They said it looked like the technician did not complete or do my oil change, so they refunded me, did the oil change and said that they fixed the smoking problem. When I got in my car and started it, it started smoking again and I had two new lights on my dash (traction and brakes). I went back in and the manager at firestone apologized and went to talk to the tech. When he came back, he said I needed to now bring my car to a shop that specializes in engines and they wouldn't be able to figure out the lights because my vehicle is Japanese (Lexus) made. I took 3 different vehicles of mine for over a decade with no problems with them, until last year. My parents had an issue a few years ago and stopped taking their vehicles there and several others I know in this area. They may have ruined my car and if my engine has to be rebuilt. It could cost $1,000s! I will put this review on every site and submit this to the BBB as well. I will let you know when I find a new shop that seems trustworthy. read more

MY HEROES! I had been experiencing some issues with my tire pressure but couldn't find anything causing the tire to lose air. I called Firestone less than an hour before they closed. I was worried they wouldn't be able to see me that night but it was no problem. I was able to get my information started over the phone, making the check in process a breeze when I arrived. At first, they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my tire, but once they took a second look, they found that I had tiny holes on the side wall. They informed me that this is a common issue with my brand of tire that is easily missed. Within 24 hours, I had new tires at a discounted rate thanks to an ongoing sale. The staff was incredibly friendly and explained everything to me in a way that was easy to understand. I will definitely have all of my tire needs serviced at this Firestone location. read more

Came in due to a low tire pressure warning. The tech came out and found the nail that was the culprit. They were able to quickly pull up my road hazard coverage and get me in to fix. They fixed the damage and even replaced cracked lugnuts. All for $0 out the door. Will definitely get their coverage on any cars I buy! read more

I came to this location for an oil change, tire rotation, serpentine belt examination and an ABS diagnostic. I was happy to have a $10 off coupon for the oil change, which made it $26.99, but that was the highlight of my visit. I ended up needing 2 new tires, so they put on my tires and changed my oil. I asked the manager how my serpentine belt looked and he said "looks just fine". I then told them that a different service station told me that it was cracked and needed to be replaced. He left, came back and told me that it did indeed need to be replaced. That makes me wonder if they 1) Even checked it in the first place or 2) The belt is fine, but they're trying to make money off me. Either way, bad business. A short time after I left, my car started to make a loud thumping noise. I called Firestone and told them I needed someone to check it out for me. Turns out, my type of 4 x 4 vehicle apparently can't have 2 new tires because of a difference in tread that affects the differential. The manager apologized, told me that they should have known better and would give me a good deal on 2 more tires, since that would fix the thumping noise they created. Turns out the "good deal" was 20% off. My husband said that the least they could have done was give me a common buy-3-get-1-free deal. I agree. If my car is damaged because their technician was incompetent, under-trained or lazy, I'll have my husband come in to deal with them, not me. read more

Honestly would give 0 stars if I could. Do not take your vehicle here. I went here for an alignment but saw they check tpms for the tires, so I asked them if they could just reprogram mine as well since the light for it keeps lighting up, they did. When they got finished, Firestone employee told me 2 of your sensors are not working. He said "If you can new ones, we can happily install them for you". I was like, awesome. I got them a couple of days later and called to see if they could install them for me for free since I already paid before. They were like, I don't know what you're talking about, so I was like, okay, I still took it there and got replaced, and they charge me $60, so I was like, fine whatever as long as it's fixed. The light doesn't light up anymore. A couple of weeks later, the tpms still lights up, and I called them. They say that's why we don't install from other company parts because of that reason, so I was like, wait, y'all never told me This before I got it installed, so Firestone employee says it's on the receipt. So my question is, y'all would install something that you shouldn't and not tell me before and after the job is done and give me the, you should have read the fine print what a shameful company. read more

After a Jiffy Lube oil change, they said the brakes needed replacing and the brake lines flushed. My husband took it just up the street to this Firestone. Within an hour we got a call. We did not need brakes or lines flushed. He read the specs and we were well within them. They had an opportunity to make $$ and, instead, gained a repeat customer. BTW, the "moisture in the brake line" can't be measured. What they can measure is copper ppm. While we were initially glad Jiffy Lube had given us a heads up, ultimately it seems that they were upselling us. read more

Taylor was very professional and courteous when I called him yesterday and he offered to get my car inspected since the battlefield site did not have an available state inspector to provide my car a state inspection. He was very clear and discussed the price up front and informed me that it would be about 1 1/2 wait which I said was fine. They know my husband is a mechanic and knows his stuff, but they tried to take us for idiots! Please always get a second quote, advise, opinion etc... 1st hit... Ball joints are bad! Nope incorrect they were dirty not bad and no motion as they said there was... 2nd hit... exhaust manifold had a hole in it... ok I'll give them that, it's worn by NOT a hole. I think they need glasses. 3rd hit... Router was worn down! OK I'M CALLING BS! We just changed out the entire break assembly... BS! This is why we don't go to Merchants and Kramer and now Firestone... Thank God my son has his Dad or he would've been 600 in the whole. **Only been here once, and for an annual state inspection** These guys are awesome. I had originally brought my car to the dealership like I had the previous year with no issue. However, this year my dealership tried to extort me to pass the inspection which I think is downright criminal. I brought my car here three days later (a Tuesday at about 9 AM). I fully expected the inspection to not be done until the end of the day or at the very least a few hours given the wait times I've heard from many other places. However, I was pleasantly surprised to be called about 1 hour later. They passed my inspection (as it should; car is practically new) and gave me a breakdown of things that scored the lowest, meaning they might need to be replaced in the next year. In the auto service and repair industry, I think the most important quality is to be honest and transparent with your customers, which I experienced on this occasion. I brought my car here after have multiple problems which were not able to be fixed at a NAPA location. Though it has relentless multiple trips the staff has been fantastic, specially Ben, Ashley, and Adrian. At one point they told me to take the car to the actual dealer since they could not specifically ID the issue based on their tests. They reimbursed me my diagnostic fee and said if the dealer ID's the issues is in a after market part they had already replaced they would replace it with OEM part at no cost, which they did. Again, though I have spent more time in the store then I wish I've had too, the staff has always been friendly and professional; and my car has always been ready when they say it will be. They have been very accommodating to my busy schedule and it has been appreciated. I will definitely continue to bring my car here. read more

I recently took our company vehicle in for new tires, oil change and alignment. They pulled the vehicle into the garage quickly after I arrived but it was almost 2 hours waiting on the mechanic to come to the front of the store and ask me to come out to the garage. The mechanic informed that all 4 tires would need to be replaced, even though I had 1 of tires replaced less than 3 months ago at a Firestone complete auto care in Newport News. They then told the tires are wearing out because the lower control arms are badly worn and need to be replaced. I found this odd because the car is a 2014 with 50k and is only driven around a facility on patrol. I was given an estimate of $2800+ for tires, oil change and the control arms. I called my corporate office and we decided we would only replace the tires and oil change. That was almost a $1000. The next day I took the car to a local gas station in Virginia Beach where I have taken my personal vehicles for over 20 years. They put the car the lift and quickly reported to the control arms were perfectly fine. After reviewing the recommended estimate of work from Firestone. My mechanic told that Firestone was charging $300 more for each control arm. They also were charging over $600 for labor. My mechanic told me they could do the same work too include labor for less than $800. So I estimated that Firestone was charging me almost a $1000 more. read more

I trust that Firestone will always continue to do amazing service however, as someone that is on a very strict budget and sometimes forgets to ask the one major question before hanging up, I have a slight problem with the website. I have an appointment set up for Saturday morning and total forgot to ask how much it would cost to get brakes done, with the storm rolling in this weekend, I completely forgot to call and ask them what it would cost to get my brakes done and decided to try and look it up on their website hoping to get an all around general pricing for get the simplest service done to brakes. However upon trying to look up the price it was not giving me anything but to schedule an appointment that I already have. If firestone wants to continue to have decent amount of customers coming to their stores wouldn't you think that giving your website a general starting price of what services any one is looking for? read more

Needed a state inspection and chose Firestone because they are in the neighborhood. Was told the car needed ball joints and would not pass inspection. The car was taken to a mechanic I have been using for years and was told there is nothing wrong with the ball joints. The ball joints were inspected with the car on the lift and then using Chrysler own test methods with car on ground. So the 400 dollar repair I was quoted at Firestone was now an 18 dollar inspection and a light bulb replacement.
