These guys are actually solid. Did an oil change and they did an above and beyond by securing some extra clips under the car for me.

On January 9, I visited this Firestone location intending to drop my car off for a scheduled 5:30 PM appointment. I had called ahead to arrange the drop-off because I needed several services completed, including an oil change, installation of a passenger-side light, and rear brake service (which had been recommended during a prior oil change visit). I arrived a bit early, expecting the vehicle would need to be kept due to the appointment time, only to find out that there was no record of my 5:30 appointment. I'm not sure if this was a system issue or an error during scheduling, but I was willing to move forward. At the counter, I was assisted by an employee named Neal. He was polite and helpful in reviewing and booking the services I requested. I was quoted roughly $900 for the total work, which I initially accepted since I am preparing to move to Maryland and wanted my car fully serviced. After leaving the shop, I did some price comparisons with other service providers and found more affordable options for certain services. I called back to remove the brake flush and rear rotor replacement from the order. That decision itself was not my main issue. My concern was with the checkout experience. Neal was no longer available, and I was checked out by another employee older gentleman black hair. The interaction felt rushed and impersonal. My name was called, the price was stated, and my keys were left on the counter rather than handed to me. I was not informed where my car was parked and had to ask--unlike my previous visit, when the car was pulled up front and clearly presented upon checkout. Whether this change in service was due to removing some of the quoted services or not, the customer service at checkout was lacking. Regardless of pricing decisions, professionalism and consistency in service should remain the same. I recommend that customers do their research before committing to services here. While not every interaction was negative, the experience reinforced the importance of choosing businesses that value transparency, communication, and customer care--not just revenue. Unfortunately I have never had a good experience at this Firestone location. I've been a long term Firestone client, so when I moved to the area I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because everyone has off days. But with every repeat service things never improve. The service is always rude, I have repeatedly been condescended when bringing up concerns for my car. I've been told problems I report with my car don't exist. To be fair, they have always done the bare minimum I ask- I at least always get my oil changed in a timely manner. But for any other services needed it has been a nightmare The poor customer service I have repeatedly received is not worth the cost. I will not be returning. read more

High wait time for no reason, even at car dealership you're not waiting for simple service

Unfortunately I did not have a great experience here. I made an appointment for 12pm on a Monday for an emissions test and simple oil change. I arrived to my appointment on time and was not greeted at the desk for 6 mins. I waited in their lobby the whole time while my car was getting serviced and was not updated throughout the process on how much longer it would take. I went to the counter after 2 hours and they said the emissions test was just finished and now starting the oil change. Mind you, other folks had been coming in while I waited and they were telling them it would be a 45 min wait for an emissions test so something wasn't adding up. My car wasn't done until 3:45pm... so that means it took 1 hour 45 mins to do the oil change. All in all, 3 hours and 45 mins to do an emissions test and oil change with a schedule appointment does not meet my expectations of a well managed schedule. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Brought my car in because the lights on the dashboard were going off but nothing seemed to actually be wrong. They told me they would have to run diagnostics just to see what was going on. I believed what they told me and I ended up spending almost $3,000 to fix whatever they said was wrong. Few days later my heat won't work. I never had problems with my heat before bringing it to Firestone! I hardly drove it after getting it back from them and it over heated! Luckily I was close to Firestone and told them what was going on so they told me to bring it in. I get a call later on telling me that I had a broken head gasket and it's going to cost me about $2,000 to look, then could cost anywhere between $4-$7,000 or more to fix it! Something didn't feel right so I picked my car up. The guy even said he had a friend he could send me to for a better price! I said no and brought it to another shop. That's when they told me Firestone had PUT WATER IN MY ANTIFREEZE! So they had to flush out and refill my system!! I have not had a single problem since picking it up from them and it's been almost 3 months! Firestone lied and just wanted a payout, even if it means messing up my car to do it. I was even pushed into buying their 4 tire package which comes with free rotations and such but if you look at the bottom of the invoice it says I declined an alignment! WHAT?! I did no such thing! .... I will NEVER go back there! Crooks! Shame on them! It's tough out there right now and as a single mom with no family here, this was a blow. Go to a local owned shop! My daughter had her 2017 Nissan Altima towed there after it failed on the highway. They estimate that she needed a completely rebuilt engine ay $3,999 + 5000 installation fees and they never even put oil in the car and tested it. I would stay as far away from this place as I possibly could go! Overall they said she needed over $13,000 worth of service and from other ratings they totally are not qualified to even change tires, some being put on backwards and some being put on inside out. read more

Traveling and discovered a nail in tire. Recommended to Firestone hoping to get nail removed and hole plugged. Staff felt tire was not safe to plug thought tire replacement safer option. Actually we like that idea because it gave us more security about the issue. They got us in 0430 on a Sunday night and stayed passed closing to finish and help us get on the road again. read more

Brought my Honda Civic in to have a broke off piece of my oil dipstick removed from the tube. They claimed they had to remove/replace the oil pan and gasket to get it out. Total cost was $1,495 to get my broken oil stick out. I am NOT a mechanic but wanted to share this for those who are knowledgeable about cars in case I got ripped off. read more

Brought my car in for servicing under my lifetime contract. Paid for extremely overpriced brakes. Did not like the feel or squeak of the new brakes. Brought the car back. They said there was nothing wrong with the new brakes but I needed new control arms for $1700 plus $550 two replace two lug nuts. Left the shop and suddenly my steering wheel was off. I got there 20 minutes before closing time with a flat tire. they apparently had no intention of fixing it. they told me on to go to the front and talk to the guy there, and when I did I did not find anyone there. I went back and the guy was standing there and told me that it was too late in the day to fix it. Rip off shit show. I brought the car with a one month old brake pads and rotors installed at a shop in PA, because of some noise when I step on the brakes at very low speed. After the 3 hours they called and said: - I don't know where is the noise coming from, but I suggest changing the front & rear brake pads and rotors. - But they are almost new! - Oh yes they probably are, but if the noise is when you press the brakes then that is what you need to do. - How much is that? - Around 1500. - So $1500 and I'll get rid of the noise. - No I don't guarantee that! read more

I bought the lifetime wheel alignment for like $200+ then I dropped off my 2010 Toyota Camry for an oil change, they called later that day to say that the oil cap was missing and that it will cost like $50, not sure why it would be missing but ok, then they called to say that the oil housing has broken because the oil filter was on too tight. long story short they said that there will be no charge for the oil change but to get my car towed as soon as possible, the oil housing is part of the engine so the car will drip oil from the engine with no solution but to get a new engine. after a week of not picking up my car they said that they will have to charge me a daily charge if I do not move my car from their lot. the car was a total loss with no accountability. lost my car and the $200.00 for the lifetime alignment fee. I got a tire pressure warning so came here after work. I arrived 20 minutes before they closed and they were not interested in doing any business at this point. All the doors were closed. When I parked in the back and came into the store, the guy told me they can't do tire pressure check for some lame reason. If they don't want to do business after 6pm, just close early instead of making people come all the way here. read more

When I visited Firestone to take advantage of the free inspection they were offering at the time, they attempted to find everything wrong with my car, such as outer tie rod end, reman rack pinion, sway, bar, brake rotor, oil leak, rear struts needed, brakes needed, belts, recommending oil change, coolant, etc. The suggested cost of their repairs was $2,792.32. I left that shop knowing that I was being taken advantage of, and I also left with a crack in my fuel tank. In filling up at the gas station only several blocks away from Firestone, gas leakage spilled from my fuel tank. I drove back to the shop. Naturally, they would not assumed any blame, and it left me unable to drive with a gas leakage, I had other choice except to have them replace my fuel tank with another used fuel tank which costed me $302. Add to that insult was in picking up my car the next morning, the mechanic left his dirty paper material that he used to cover the seats and flooring behind for me to trash. I would be the last one to recommend Firestone Complete Auto Care as a service that is trustworthy, I believe they deliberately fabricate in order to pull in customers. read more

Purchased a new set of tires for my car a year ago. Recently they started making a terrible noise at low speeds, i brought it in for a warranty claim as I believe there is a flat spot/defective tire causing this. They dont even look close at the car, they just look at the tire and blame some light wear on them on me, stating its my fault their bad becuause i didnt do this or i didnt do that. All i did was buy the tires they sold me and follow their instructions, their tires are garbage and so is their customer care/consideration. Second time I come to them and I must say...FANTASTIC... The service adviser was really helpful, I waited for the service to be done and I had valuable updates on the status of service. They did a great job, in special for a high end vehicle, which I was always afraid taking for service other than the dealership, but work was performed to specs and the car is driving really nice (2017 Range Rover Autobiography). FANTASTIC GUYS. Next time I will give you 5 stars if you try keeping the car free of grease marks on the seat, carpets and door panels. Came back 25 minutes later and was told it was now 45+ minutes because it's first come first serve? I would have waited there if told. He also was not wearing a mask despite it being the law. My boss told me to try this place and give them a second chance after my first encounter was pretty unsatisfactory. I decide to do so when I need new tires installed. I call and am met on the other end by a Dan. Immediately I feel the "what do you want" attitude and I'm turned off. Definitely not the kind of customer service I am looking for when I'm spending money I don't want to. My tires were delivered here, so I am going to see how well they do and my follow up review will be on Tire Rack's website. Absolutely HORRIBLE. I had the pleasure of watching them back a customer's truck into the garage upon exiting, after waiting nearly THREE HOURS for my oil change. They gave me no indication that it could possibly take that long and continued to reassure me that it would be done quickly. It must be the absolute worst to answer the business phone to a panic stricken voice- my voice !!! I am from northern Vermont, and on my way home from a visit to New York, hit a famously big pothole which bent my steel rim inward and started cutting into my left front tire. Sitting in a gas station somewhere in CT, I searched for a local repair shop open on Sundays. Like magic, Firestone was open until 5 !!!!!!! (It was now 4pm and I still had to make it to them somehow) I spoke to Don on the phone, who assured me the rim and tire could be fixed. I shamefully rolled in on my flat well after 4:30, but was still taken care of like they weren't less than 30 minutes from going home for the night to have the next day off (Presidents day). Don and his team (thank you too, Pedro!!) stayed until almost 6 o'clock to make sure I could get home safely, and all this kindness for a very minimal cost. ;)) They understood my situation, acted with urgency and empathy to make sure I got back to Vermont with piece of mind that my car was ok. Jaime's way of speaking to me was disrespectful and condescending. I called him out on it and asked him to de- escalate and chill but he continued and obviously wanted the last word. I told him his customer service was horrible and that he was a fake and a liar then he threatened to call the police because I was having a conversation with him where he could not handle the criticism. I told him to take my car down of the lift and I then asked for a manager. He said he was the manager with a big grin on his face and I told him I wanted his boss and he said there was no one higher in authority in the building than himself, he told me to find the regional telephone number on line. Then he proceeded to call his boss from the back, Joshua who came out listened to me did not comment did not say one word and did not apologize did not inquire on how he could rectify the situation in order to keep my business. Not one word nor did I see him take any notes of my complaint of Jaime. He gave me his card and the regional telephone number and I left. I had 2 nails in my tire. the men working told me that they can't patch up the two nails and I'd need to buy a whole new tire and that I would actually need all 4 new tires. I knew they were bullshitting me so I took my business else where. The garage I brought my car to was able to patch up the holes in my tire no problem.
