Refusal of Appointment: I had a confirmed 7:30 AM appointment, yet the advisor instantly blocked service by fabricating an unrealistic, full-day timeline. Withholding Documentation: They scanned my vehicle's data and checked my mileage but refused to provide me with the standard intake ticket given to all other arriving drivers. 50K MAINTENANCE for my perfectly running Toyota is 1.5 hours per the dealership. NOT 'HALF TO A FULL DAY'. That's an ER visit for a human. In Connecticut, automotive businesses must legally provide a written repair or estimate before performing work, and treating a senior consumer unfairly regarding waiting accommodations can be reported directly as an official dealership business violation I asked the shop if I could wait when I made my appointment the week before and was told yes. What a miserable waste of time traveling to and from for ridiculous gaslighting and mistreatment. Two seats almost connected in front of an intake station and there was a loudly talkative man seated in one - guess he wasn't told minor routine maintenance would take all day. read more

I was desperately hoping that they would be able to repair my 2005 Subaru Manual Forester which had been experiencing alarming episodes of brakes locking up. Not only were they able to repair the car, but Vinnie actually fabricated the spring for the hill start valve that had failed instead of getting all new replacement parts, saving me over $450!! No wonder they are booked solid! Above and beyond! read more

My fiancée and I were on our way from New York City to Boston for a special family occasion when -- out of nowhere -- our BMW X5 had a sudden failure in its air compression system, making the car practically undrivable. Stuck hours from home and completely blindsided, we were in full-on panic mode. By what honestly felt like divine intervention, we took the first exit off the highway -- and it led us directly to Accurate Auto Repair. We pulled in flustered, stressed, and totally unprepared... and were immediately met with kindness, calm, and total professionalism. Even though their schedule was packed (they told us appointments usually take days to book!), they took one look at our situation and said, "We've got you." They admitted us right then and there. While we waited, they even gave us recommendations on how to kill time -- we ended up at the local mall, which was way nicer than expected and gave us a much-needed breather. A few hours later -- way earlier than we expected -- they called to let us know the car was ready. And get this: they even offered to come pick us up from the mall. Above and beyond doesn't even begin to cover it. The car is running perfectly now, but the real takeaway from this experience was the people. Honest, empathetic, good-hearted humans who had every reason to turn us away -- but didn't. They stepped up, and we'll never forget it. We drove the rest of the way to Boston with full hearts. Accurate Auto Repair didn't just save our car -- they completely restored our faith in humanity. Can't recommend them enough. If you're anywhere nearby, this is where you go. read more

Had Accurate Auto do a vehicle inspection on a car we were looking to buy - couldn't be more pleased. Brandon was quick, reasonable, communicative and friendly! Thanks for setting our minds at ease. Highly recommend! read more

This business has absolutely no experience or working knowledge regarding classic & antique vehicle repair. The techs do not have the experience or knowledge of classic Chevy V8 engines nor the replacement parts regarding repairing them. If you own a classic car, stay as far away as possible from these idiots. read more

The customer service is excellent. My check engine light came on and needed the code checked. Brandon accommodated me and they were able to check it as soon as I came. He could tell I was quite worried. He took time to listen, he was very reassuring and compassionate. I was told by another shop that I needed my wipes and all tires replaced. He told me my wipes are working fine and 2 of my tires are still good. I really appreciated his honesty. He also offered to drive me to back to work which was close to the shop. He made everything super easy and less stressful. This was the best experience I've ever had at an auto repair shop. I highly recommend this place! read more

Very impressed with this team. Resolved my issue quickly and went above and beyond, exceeding expectations.

All these great reviews wish I was able to experience their service but unfortunately it's been impossible to get someone on the phone. I called a few times yesterday and today and got a recoding that said we are busy call back don't leave a message. Well I can't wait any longer my cat needs to he fixed guess I'll have to go somewhere else. I'm new to norwalk and looking for a mechanic I can trust. When I read the reviews I was excited to give these guys a try. Maybe next time! read more

The other day I spoke in anger and disparaging remarks were written, after dealing directly with Vinny in person I have changed my opinion and look forward to having accurate auto Repair looking after my vehicles from now on read more

Best auto repair shop on the planet?? Really? The best? So I set out to find a better shop than Vinnie and Cosmo- somewhere.....anywhere....and guess what??? Couldn't find one! Once again I have to RAVE about this business. I won't take my Volvo or my Explorer anywhere else. Nowhere else have I ever received such prompt, professional service. No monkey business among the monkey wrenches here! Just straight answers, reasonable repair prices and a friendly shop. Thanks, Vincent ( the owner) for running such a fantastic business! read more

I had them do a simple muffler replacement for my Jeep. Job was on time and well done.

This shop is old school and amazing. I have been taking my two cars to Accurate for maintenance and repairs for about 2 yrs now and they are still impressing me with their competence and honesty. I love how these guys do business! I only wish that every business I have to deal with is managed as well as Accurate Auto Repair. read more

Pulled in to ask about service and was waved away, told to "get out of the parking lot." Rudest service reception I've ever encountered, you're better off giving your business to someone who wants it. read more

I've now taken my car here a few times and will not take my car anywhere else. They're knowledgeable, do wonderful work, and clearly care about providing great service. I couldn't recommend them more after my experience. I know absolutely nothing about cars and I'm sure it shows. I've been to other shops in the past where I've questioned if I was being taken advantage of for my lack of knowledge but my experience here has been completely different. They always do a great job explaining the work they're doing/have done and made me feel incredibly confident that my car is in good hands. Check them out!! read more

Please ask about price for an oil change before you go. I was $83 for an oil change. They are very friendly and helpful. However I had other options that were more affordable, had I taken the moment to ask about the charge. Wow! I am still dumbfounded at the price Now it is about a month later and my car says that the oil needs to be changed. I call the place and they say I have to take the car back they didn't update the sensor. 80 and then some dollars and they couldn't update the sensor, now I have to take time out of my day to get the sensor updated? read more

In the auto repair business, there's a lot of opportunities to be taken advantage of. With Vinnie and his brother Cosmo at Accurate, you're receiving an honest service, which is precious, at no extra cost to you. Think about it. read more

First the clichés: they actually listen to what I though the problem might be based on my research (like looking up an ailment on WebMD), then explained what actually in non-patraonizing, plain English with clear and accurate cost estimates. Simple. And very effective. read more

Great shop. I spoke with Vinny. He checked if my a/c just needed a charge. It wasn't that. No charge for the diagnostic. Then we made an appt to have it fixed the following week, dropped it off in the morning, compressor needed to be replaced, done by 2PM. Price was also reasonable. I would definitely recommend Accurate Auto and use them again in the future. Thnx-Jennifer (Silver RSX) read more

Vinny knows how to get the job done on time and under budget! This is an old-school no BS mechanic.

Found these guys a few years ago and after my first visit I was hooked, I won't be using another repair shop. They are fast, honest and pleasant to deal with. All at fair prices. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed . read more

Had my timing belt and water pump replaced there a few weeks back. Was going to do it myself, but got a quote via email and the price was good enough to sway me from taking on that mission. Fantastic service! Brought my car in with no notice and they had it fixed the same afternoon. The price was better than I could have hoped for and the job was done beautifully. I will absolutely take my car here again any time o need mechanic work!! read more

Avoid this place if you value your time. I made an appointment for 3pm, left work early and got there on time, however was told that they would not service my car because there wasn't enough time in the day. I told the owner that this was the time they scheduled and he just pointed at his ear saying that he misunderstood and that I need to reschedule. Never went back, took my car to Interlagos, they honored their appointment and they did a great job. read more

I get nervous when I have to go to mechanics - however I brought my car to have a check engine light looked at. They were very prompt and told me what the code meant and that sometimes that code came on by accident. They turned off my check engine light and said if it came back on that it was still fine to drive but should be eventually fixed. Very nice group of people working at Accurate! read more

Outstanding, reliable, and honest service. After being quoted an outrageous price for brakes at my dealership, I called accurate and got an appointment right away. They took the time out to inspect my car and show me the issue with my brakes. Vinny put his crew on it and my car was finished quickly. Brakes are great. Price was significantly cheaper and affordable with quality parts. I will definitely be a repeat customer and recommend this place with confidence. Thanks Accurate! read more

I have such peace of mind knowing that I have reliable mechanics working on my cars at Accurate. Very service oriented, friendly, efficient. I totally trust them. 100% honest and reliable. I finally have a local mechanic I can trust (which explains why they are always so busy). The best in Norwalk.

Best experience ever at repair shop. My truck was leaking oil terrible and so I called them Dec 30 to see if I could bring it in. This was my first time dealing with them and I saw good things on Google reviews. They told me to bring it in New Years Eve and they had it ready within 2hrs. Very reasonable price for the repair and such a pleasure dealing with Vinnie. I would reccomend them to anyone! read more

I had a bad experience with this shop. I took my car in for regular tire alignment and when I'm driving out of the shop into East Ave... my back tire falls off! They had not bolted one of my back tires at all and my car fell flat on the road. To make matters worse, there was a fire truck that couldn't pass because of my car being left in the middle of the road. This type of quality control is unacceptable and it could have really turned out far worse for me than it did. After complaining they offered me one free oil change, but they are never touching my car again. read more
