On November 19, I had my tires changed at this service center. I picked this place because I got a flat tire and it was the nearest tire shop. The staff started off pretty friendly, but in the end I ended up waiting 2 hours longer than the original estimate. When I paid the bill and went to pick up my car, I discovered that the guys had simply blocked the bay with my car inside--they were loading a pickup truck. I asked them to let me out because I was in a hurry to take my pregnant wife to her doctor's appointment... but they just started ignoring me completely. In the end, I waited an extra 3 hours beyond the original estimate. I had been planning to get the wheels balanced there as well, but obviously, with this kind of attitude toward customers, this shop should be avoided. read more

Let me up these guys' stars a bit. I've been taking my cars to Firestone for decades. First, a spot on an Army base in Hawai'i because they had one guy, just one guy, who specialized in the make of car I had at the time. From there my loyalty was more or less sealed and I've never been disappointed though I don't always go here. My spouse DOES always take his Toyota sedan here. To my knowledge, he has never had any difficulty with the service and every time I have gone in there with him the staff have been spectacularly friendly and helpful. Like WAY above the bar - what do they call that - "going above and beyond" - Yes. I started taking my car there about a year ago and, knock on wood, all has gone smoothly so far. While I have not had any major repairs or maintenance (yet, thank goodness), my spouse HAS and still no issues with the service. Would not hesitate to recommend. Good people. read more

Yesterday I left a review on google immediately after a poor service oil change I received at this location. From the poor customer service by the girl at your front desk, Ana I believe was her name. To the almost 3hr oil change wait. But apparently it didn't end there. My reason for this oil change was to make sure everything was good to go for my road trip this weekend and was it? NO! This morning as I am driving I needed to clear something off my windshield and had ZERO windshield fluid in my car!!! What in the actual fuck did I pay $100 for?? Just to drain the oil and pray to god they actually added new oil?? What was the "inspection" for?? Never in my life have I received an oil change where they don't top all the fluids off or make sure something isn't needed. I worked at a dealership for years and even there they make sure everything is topped off in an oil change. This place is a joke! Employees clearly need training! I will definitely be disputing this transaction because I did not get the service I thought I was paying for. Had my old 2010 Kia Rio transmission done at this firestone years back. From start to finish the staff were concentrating on their reparation focus on my vehicle. We brought in the Rio without an appointment and we got served within 20 minutes. After we dropped off me and my dad had some walking at the Southcenter mall and less than 2 hours they ringed us said the completion of the repairs. During that time we got informed about the repairing progress, accurate and professional. Walked in with a downy face but walked out with joy and satisfaction. Thanks firestone! Great place to go if you have to much money and time. Sad that I can't give negative stars. I went in to put new tires on my truck. 1st I was told option 1 & 2 were junk so I needed to get the top of the line Option #3. I wanted the best so I went with #3. I was told they were not busy at all and it would take 2hrs. So I left it with them. I got an Uber back to work. 1st call 1.5 hours later, was NOT to tell me my truck was done but to try to UPSELL me new filters $100. Air filter was changed less than 30 days ago and the cabin filter (it does NOT have one. Next call 4 hours later, was to tell me I need new breaks "metal to metal. unsafe to drive" they said $3000. I declined both options. I asked to get my truck back as it was the end of my work day. When I went to get my truck after they had it for over 6 HOURS, $900. I shared my dissatisfaction with Anthony who felt compelled to yell and curse at me. I quote "Get the hell off my property" The manager was standing 15 ft away and said nothing. In closing this place is a joke and they will rob you blind and treat you like crap. I will never return to this store. read more

My husband and I were on our way home to Portland when our SUV broke down and the Firestone on Andover was the closest car service repair shop. When we got there, fluid was leaking out from underneath our SUV. The service tech, Kaylen, was very friendly and the technicians were fast. We got all the repairs done that day and did not have to take the train home and come back later in the week. We were so pleased with the service that we signed up for the Firestone credit card which I now love having for these kinds of emergency repairs. Called them to replace a flat tire. They agreed to replace 1 tire, and made an appointment and came in on my appointment day and time. When I walk in I'm greeted by Dustin who clearly didn't want to be there. He looks at me weird and says "what do you want, you're just dropping off a Tesla with no information". Kind of rude but that's fine, explain that I made an appointment to replace a tire. It's not his fault if the system didn't record the information. After he gets the tire details he wants to bill me for 2 tires. Which isn't what I heard over the phone. I explained that I only wanted 1 tire. Explained that I was told over the phone by 2 different people that 1 tire was fine. He actually refused to do service with me if I didn't buy 2 tires. I've had flat tires replaced on my car multiple times and getting 1 replaced is fine. He was telling me that he was hesitant to not make me replace all 4 tires given their condition (2 of them are relatively newish). I'm not sure what his problem was but I asked him why they would tell me 1 set of information on the phone and why what he wants to do was something else. He got mad at "me" that the appointment information wasn't in the system. So we left and I called 2 other Firestone locations. When I asked for a tire replacement from these locations I asked them if replacing 2 was necessary and both said it's recommended but not required for "my car". I'm not sure what Dustin's problem was. It's one of 3 things: - prejudice against interracial couples - prejudice against people who drive EVs - has a superiority complex I'll be avoiding this particular Firestone location until I know this person doesn't work there anymore. I was trying to get alignment. I was told i need to fix the rack and pinion first because the starting was 180 degrees to the right and I told the manager that I will pick it up and fix it then get it align. when I got there the car was park and I'm trying to get the keys and then one of the technician took the car and put it on the alignment bay and try to still aligned it or check it even they told me the rock and pinion need to get fix first and they say it will cost $600. But I already told they I'm doing it that's why I'm trying to get the keys. then this manager got mad at me because I told them why I'm getting change for something. i called him out about having horrible costomer service and he got more mad. read more

I was able to bring my car into this location when my check engine light came on. They quickly scanned it and gave me a run down of the code. They were able to replace my catalytic converter without any hassel. Higher end for pricing but they check for available coupons at checkout! So I got a bit of a discount that was a welcome relief after all the stress of having car troubles pop up. Despite being busy and the delays we're all used to courtesy of the labor issues and supply chain struggling, they took good care of my car and kept me updated along the way. Horrible experience... Manager seemed as if he didn't care that I was there... said that they couldn't repair a slow leak due to a screw... Said that the screw was in a very difficult place to repair, and that I'd need to purchase 4 brand new tires... and proceeded to give quotes for the most expensive tires... which would be available until 48hrs or so... I immediately took my car to Discount Tires, where not only were they able to repair my tire (screw was in the middle of the tire, and certainly repairable!), they did it for free... Discount Tires in Renton, WA for the win... They saved be $1500 today... won't ever return to Firestone in Southcenter... read more

Went in for my front brakes, and was told all brakes need to be replaced and the estimate was for over $1000. I had my back brakes done in 2018 elsewhere, so I went for a second opinion. 2nd group said front brakes will need to be replaced soon, but it's not immediate and back brakes were perfectly fine. They reviewed the estimate Firestone gave me and said majority of it was completely unnecessary. I won't make a determination as to why there's such a huge difference in opinions, but I did find it suspicious. I'm glad I got a second opinion. read more

I planned on spending a few hundred on my most recent visit, as I wanted to get my A/C issue addressed and, because I'm near 180,000 on my '96 Contour, my timing belt service done, as well. Well, they couldn't do anything with the A/C because the Master Technician does the compressors (whom was still on vacation), as that appears to be the problem. Next, the timing belt... no work was necessary---atleast nothing I had to pay for! After all that labor of going through the engine, I didn't have to pay squat because they told me my timing belt was in very good shape [amd the master tech was out]. I'll go through my service log and double check if I can, but they said the 1st owners I got this car from must've had the timing belt done sometime before hitting 166,000 miles (about when I bought it 2-3 years ago). Dave(sp?) again came through very well in making this customer happy and satisfised. I told him after he told me nothing was charged, that i greatly appreciated it. He said something along the lines of: "No problem, it's what we do." Plus, he always seems friendly, helpful, and cool. read more

Whenever you get a flat tire while driving, you can't help but feel annoyed & stressed out. Especially when you should be at work rather than dealing w/ a flat tire. The last thing you need when getting your tires replaced is an establishment making the situation more stressful. However, you will never get that working w/ Firestone, especially at the Tukwila location. Unfortunately, I have popped my tires 4 times in one year by sharp objects left on the road. Fortunately enough, every time I run into this problem, Firestone has always been their for me. They do their best in fitting me into their tight schedule w/ no notice at all. I really feel as if they care for the customers that walk into their store & want to take care of them no matter if their schedule is tight or short on mechanics. This is apparent with the employee who helped me, Dave, who has actually helped me numerous times w/ my flat tires. Every single time I come in, I can have a sense of relief that everything will be taken care of in a timely manner. Granted this is Super Bowl Sunday and the only reason I made an appointment with this facility is because they are open and close to the hotel I am staying at. If he talks to his employees the way he talks to customers they probably run to other employers. I've been a customer at this location for over 20 years and spent lots of money there over the years despite repeated mess ups on several cars over the years, yes they made it right so I gave them another chance over and over, but this guy Anthony was the last straw. I took it here got my radiator water pump and thermostat replaced and I had to get the water pump and thermostat replaced three different times after I already thought I had it fixed and the fourth time I took it there I started over heating on the side of the road before I made it and my head gasket blew because they still didn't replace my water pump like they should've do NOT recommend going to any Firestone. read more

I called the day prior and Dustin told me he was booked a couple weeks out, but if I could leave my truck all day, he'd squeeze it in. I was pleasantly surprised and thankful, as I needed a service. I drive a Dually pickup and he said as long as it's under 9,000 lbs., he could lift it. I assured him it was and that's where the conversation ended. The next morning I attempted to drop the truck off and he informed me my truck was over 9,000 lbs. and he wouldn't be able to lift it. The problem I have with this is, I use my truck daily as a commercial vermicelli and know exactly what it weighs (8,026 lbs. full of fuel). Because the sticker on the door says 14,000 GVW he was positive he was correct. I again tried to explain what that sticker means (what the truck is capable of weighing with cargo), but he only continued to argue with me and in the end would not help me. Not only will I not be back, but because of Dustin's ignorance and lack of customer service skills, I will start anybody I can away from this facility. read more

Months later, I call them back and Dustin answers and tells me it's now $600+. I book the appointment , but come off with a bad feeling. Kinda fishy right? I normally use Firestone for my work vehicle. They had done such a great job with that car, so I decided to take my personal vehicle for repairs. I want to rate my experience based on specific items first. ***** - patience ***** - Dustin, Mgr for reviewing service docs * - communicating ALL problems with the car. * - Concern with the "alleged" 11 hours of labor. I brought my vehicle in January 2019. After the Covid-19 pandemic, my family was impacted, thus not enabling me to obtain my vehicle as soon as I hoped. On last Tuesday, April 14, 2020, I paid my final balance of $2950 ($1000) was already paid and drove home. The car did not stop/start, my chief complaint. Although, the check engine light remained on, I did not have other problems. I was contacted by Dustin after I posted a review on that and he encouraged me to come in on 4/21 to have an oil change after he reviewed my service docs and saw that I was not provided an oil change. The oil change took about 1 hour and 20 min. I drove home with my two daughters. When we got to 192nd and Pacific Highway, the stopped and would not start again. it was horrifying. Adding to that, I called my wife, who was at home vomiting and she had to drive from our home to come rescue us, sick, dizzy and driving with our other daughter otherwise we would have been stranded. I briefly got out of the vehicle and a friend of my late father saw me and offered to pull me and my daughters home. He pulled us from a Jeep with a rope all the way down Pacific Highway and to our home. The car still doesn't start, and I'm assuming its the transmission, a problem that I was not notified about. There were 11 hours of manpower put into my car, but how does this happen?!? Especially, if you put 11 hours of manpower. I was told that I might get a couple of years, not ONE WEEK out of this car. Now, I have to junk it for $163 and it's being picked up this Saturday. After paying $2950 of stimulus money that could have went to taking care of my families needs. I'm at a complete loss of words. They stated it was supposed to be dropped off. Glad we called like a week to ten days ahead to schedule. We never(but have before because of same issue) drop a truck off for the day. Started taking our car there for over 5 years until now 2023. Wow- thousands of dollars later. At first it seemed ok. Let's start by saying it was a great location. Work close by. So I had the check engine light came on took it here even though the other Firestone we took it to had bad experiences with them. So I decided to give these guys a try. Seemed good at first. Check engine light came on they temporarily fixed the problem. Every three months it would come back on them there were other things they said was wrong with it. Yes Yes this place is terrible. Don't buy into the bs they are all Arrogant rude to many customers. They will obtain your trust and they will convince you your car needs other things fixed. Yes they will manipulate you before you know it when they win your trust you will be getting charged for repairs that weren't even made. This place is the worst. To replace one tire, it took 6 hours. Took car in at 12 noon, I was told they'll call when ready. No call came. At 5pm, I came back and the car has not moved. They finally did it and all it took was 20 minutes. Funnily enough, an elder lady came in to check on her car which she left THE DAY BEFORE and she was told it wasn't ready. It was also for replacement tires and she was told to come back in an hour. WTF. read more
