Last year 2025, June, my parents took their Honda CRV 2013 to get oil changed here. 1 week later, we drive to North Dakota and oil change engine came on. My brother in-law who was a mechanic checked and there was NO OIL in the engine. THIS PLACE DID NOT REFILLED THE OIL AFTER EMPTYING it. LAST WEEK 2/17/26, my mom took the CRV for another oil change. And they did not screw the covering for the oil filter underneath the car well and it end up breaking off while they were traveling to their land on the freeway. They crooks will take advantage of you and are SUPER lazy and will not a SHITTY ass job. DO NOT GO HERE for oil changed, unless you want to come out with an extra $600 plus bill on top of the arm and leg they charged you for an oil change. My parents end up paying $600 to get the oil guard replace underneath the CRV. Too bad I cannot give it a 0 star review, because these people are crooks and would want to steer people away from this place so they don't get SCAMMED like my parents did. The staff is friendly, and they are good at their jobs, but the turnover is insane. I believe that has to do with the location itself. This is not the best neighborhood, but not the worst either. I first started bringing my car here 3 years ago, when I moved into an apartment around the corner and I could just walk home and wait till they are finished instead of sitting in their lounging area. However, they do have a nice lounge area than most car places. They have a TV (usually set to American Pickers, or something like that, but they will change it if you ask), coffee maker, and a crazy number of outlet/cord chargers for people if your phone dies. Last time I went in a lady apparently didn't understand that a mechanic cannot NOT fix a problem if it is a road hazard. She caused a huge scene, and I did my best to 'read' my book, so I wasn't in the conflict. The poor mechanic though, he just politely took it. Even as she left the store, she swiped all the stuff on the Front desk to the floor. I will say the mechanic handled himself professionally and nicely, he even asked if I was okay after even though I wasn't involved, I was just in ear shot. Overall, would I come here again, yes, they have my car records, and it makes things easier, but now that I don't live close it is a little of a hassle to wait in the lounge. I went to Firestone in Maplewood yesterday and paid $600 to get two new tires and an oil change. I received my car by 6pm yesterday evening. By 1pm today my tire is completely flat. As a place that's main concern is to "help, care, and repair your vehicle" I am beyond baffled that it hasn't even been 12 hours and my tire is completely flat. I knew that they were closed today but I even tried to leave a message and I couldn't even get a voicemail to express my concerns. Moving further to, I will NOT be going here for any problems I may have. I'll be back Simply to have them fix what they have ruined. Towed my car there on a Saturday with a flat tire cuz they said they probly could fix that day or next. They called back to say they couldn't find the leak and wanted to replace all four tires, redo the suspension, and give me a complete oil change. Told them to just fix the flat. Didn't hear back and when I called them on Sunday, told me again they couldn't find the leak and didn't have time to look. Towed the car to my regular mechanic and fixed in 20 mins for thirty dollars. Will never do business again. read more

Manager has worst customer service ever!! Last year I bought a lifetime alignment for my car. I paid a Gripload for it. I went there the first time, and everything was fine. 6 months later I lowered my car and take it to align again and it was fine. They put some ply wood, I took of my bumper and finished the alignment fine. The guys that work that day were awesome. Last week, I bought new wheels and took my car to be aligned again. This is when the fun began. The head manager checked me in then started asking me a lot of questions. Who ok'ed this to you? Did you get it align last time, list goes on. right then I knew something was wrong. After all questions, he took my keys and said ok. As I was waiting, other customers came in and was helped before me. So I waited for a good 30mins. He then tells me he has to charge me another $250!!!!! On top of my already paid $160 lifetime alignment. I asked him why? He said I had advanced suspensions and they were going to have to have to do camber and toe. In my mind I was like, "does he really thinks im stupid? EVERY ALIGNMENT adjusts camber and toe!!" So I tell him, why were your other workers able to do it last time? He tried to deviate me by cutting me off saying this is advanced. I kept repeating that they were able to do this with no problem last time, even his worker working at the registered admitted that. Then he kept on saying, "I dont care what they told you, we can't do an alignment for this car unless you pay for an 'advanced' alignment". I knew he was making this up, because I'm a car guy myself and there really is no such thing. At that point I was pissed!! I just told him to give me my refund. Then he looked at his system for a good 5-10 minutes, and finally says, "this is a different name" (i had my wife purchase this 1st time due to me working daytime). He then goes outside screams his lungs off with, "Hey you fucking idiot with no bumper this is not the same car!" He went closer to the car and saw it was the same VIN# and looked really stupid. Can you believe this?? a STORE MANAGER!!! Cursing at his customer for getting an alignment done! It does not end there! He comes back in and asks me if I have proof of purchase of this vehicle? Seriously?? 1 hr passed and got nothing done and I was called a "fucking idiot" by the manager. I called up the wife to bring her ID along with all paperwork. Not only did he waste my time and gas now he's wasting my wife's time just to shown this clown unnecessary paperwork. Then in a minute, he said, ill give your refund. WTF???!! Don't get me wrong here, i'm a very reasonable guy and would have accepted a simple sorry I can't get your car aligned here's your refund. Would have been a done deal. I usually don't write reviews but I was pushed to the point where I had to do this so some of you wouldn't have to go thru this yourselves. But this is pure example of an elitist non open minded management. If you believe in real people wanting to help other people (customer in this case), don't come to this place. Displeased with the communication here. I called about fifteen minutes before I came in to confirm I could get my tire changed this evening. I drive for a living and needed to get it changed in order to do my job. I was told that whether the tire could be repaired or if I needed a new one, they could fix it it easily and it would be completed in around 45 minutes. Arrived fifteen minutes later to find out that not only could they not take me tonight because they were too busy, they didn't even have a tire in stock that would fit my vehicle. As I was talking to the man at the front who was informing me and another customer that we couldn't be helped tonight, the girl I had spoken to on the phone was on the phone again telling someone else that their repair could be done tonight. I live nearby and would have been happy to come to this location for regular services given that my vehicle gets a lot of wear. However, after this experience, I won't be returning. read more

I ordered some new tires/wheels from Tire Rack and had them shipped here for install and an alignment. People were friendly and answered all my questions and the car was on the lift within minutes of arriving. I appreciate them letting me know my new wheel design was likely to scratch with their alignment system, which is more a fault with the wheel than the shop as I had to call around multiple places to find a different system. If I'd known the difficulty to align I would not have gotten the wheels (along with likelyhood of curbing the wheel). I'd go back again for other general repairs/maintenance. read more

I've gone to several car repair shops over the years and this Firestone has become my go-to place. Dana, the manager, and the others I've dealt with provide exceptional customer service. I appreciate everything from the friendly greeting when I walk through the door to the clear explanations of mechanical problems and needed repairs. I also trust their recommendations for what should be done and what isn't needed, which is a big deal to me. This is partly based on two experiences where other shops said certain work needed to be done in addition to the original problems -- and when I went to Firestone, they showed me why those expensive repairs weren't needed. Prices seem competitive and I receive coupons in the mail or often find some online. Large waiting room with coffee, daily newspaper, TV. Open 7 days a week. So with our two cars and a wide range of repairs and maintenance, I've only experienced technical competence, great service and a feeling that these people are honest.
