Over the weekend I popped BOTH by passenger tires & I was completely distraught. I wasn't sure where to get my car towed. But my fiancé has always had good experience with Firestone. So I decided to take my car there. Lo was phenomenally helpful and was able to give me a reasonable discounted package on all the service being done to my car. From the tires, to the oil change, lifetime warranty alignment, it honestly wasn't that bad! They were communicative the whole time & it was an overall smooth & easy process! I would not recommend this facility. I am a non white customer and waited 10 minutes for someone to speak to me. no one came so i sent my daughter in and they waited on her as soon as she walked in. Now the guy sitting at the window seen me and the tech that went to the the restroom seen me standing there bit did not give me eye contact or try to find someone to help me. I wanted to pay for a bill that was over 1100 dollars. I am handicapped so i cannot stand very long but 10 minutes is way too much time to be ignored. Bad customer service. Mr. Brandon was completely rude, didn't even welcome me in, or give me eye contact or call me by my name. As soon as a white gentlemen came in he provided somewhat of alright customer service, but didn't even have the decency to give me the equal amount of respect. (I am a young Hispanic female). I completely felt his racist approach, and when I asked him a direct question he disregarded me completely until I grabbed his attention with asking his name. I had my car towed to Firestone because of oil in the radiator. They were supposed to flush the radiator and that was all. I don't believe they even flushed it, but they did run my battery down listening to the radio while they worked on cars. I keep my car in good care, I bought it new in 2001 and seldom have trouble with it... I was responsible for the oil in the radiator, but THEY RAN MY BATTERY DOWN. Yesterday I barely made it home and smoke was coming out from under the hood! They are denying wrong doing... the radiator was completely dry BUT THE COOLING FLUID IN THE OVERFLOW WAS FULL BUT NOT FLOWING TO THE RADIATOR AND THEY ARE STILL SAYING THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!!! If I had read all the horror stories of people taking their cars there and then having costly things go wrong... like my battery suddenly dying RIGHT AFTER THEY HAD MY CAR and now this! Recommend going anywhere else. My AC was partly working and I was charged for a recharge. Dye was added for them to first tell me there is no visible leak and they recommend a compressor kit for 1700. I politely said I would not be able to at the moment. I received a call back stating that it was their mistake it was only a 50 dollar part needing to be replaced. (Hmm) I gave the go ahead and later that day was told I can pick up and all vents were blowing cold air. 300 dollars later and a miserable drive home my AC was preforming worse than before. I spoke with Jimmy and was told to wait until Tuesday to bring it in. So the weekend with no AC. I bring it in Tuesday and we as told there is no point of bringing it in because they have no compressors. This could have been mentioned on the phone before another 20 minute drive with No AC. read more

Do yourself a favor and remove this place and company from your auto-repair list. They use slimy sales tactics to attach an advertised "lifetime alignment" to your bill and find every reason to tell you they cannot perform an alignment when you finally go back for one. This location did not fix the issue that I originally brought my vehicle in for and sold me a $200 lifetime alignment service I have yet to use. Luckily, I found an honest shop that diagnosed and repaired my suspension issue correctly. Shame on you Firestone for these shady practices, I have learned my lesson and will never be back to any of your locations. read more

OK so I am here to write a fair review. I have had a bad taste for Firestone due ot some past issues at other stores. I took my car here because NTB was such fail trying to sell me garbage tires. I spoke to the guy at the front desk asking him if they carried a particular model in stock, he didn't have them but arranged to get them delivered that day. I also asked if he would price match Discount Tire and he did. Last, Discount Tire was offering $100 gift cards for purchasing a set of 4 tires, he said he could not offer that but he threw in 4 road hazard warranties instead. I am very pleased with the service, the people and the amount of time it took to install my tires. @Joe I would be offended too if someone asked me to use the internet to shop cheaper prices, do your homework first. Drove around Saturday morning looking for a place local to me that had tires that fit my daughters Honda civic. I stopped at this place and found that they had four in stock that fit her car. I told them I would be back in a couple of hours to get it installed and they took down my information and the salesman, Barry, even said we made sure we have these before you come back. I come back at about 130, drop The car off and get a call almost an hour later that they sold the tires to someone else. Then Dary attempted to upsell me on some other tires he could get today that would necessitate me buying for instead of the original three that I needed. Not sure where the breakdown was but obviously wasted my Saturday and now I will order tires online and handle it myself, needless to say I am pissed off. read more

My van after firestone...had it in for an oil change two days ago, before the oil change it drove good; day after firestone it smoked and jumped RPMS without any lights indicating anything wrong, now doesn't drive and is stuck at a different firestone where They say it can't be firestones fault because it's the transmission but ...transmission oil is red not black and as you can see in the pictures the oil is black that all over the place. Wish I would of taking more picture of the tow trucks bed after driving it to the new firestone there was a black puddle on his bed and in the garage at the new firestone. Anyways they are sketch. This isn't even including them not explaining why the check engine light is on in my Prius. Here is my story. My Wife's Jaguar had a slow leak in the rear tire and I wanted to get it fixed. But the normal tire shop that I goto was closed. That is payless tire next to burger king on 66 and first in garland. So Brought the car in and they took it back. Quickly the manager called me up and said that the tire was unrepairable because of the distance to the side wall. So this is not the first time I have had a tire fixed so I asked where it was and the tech showed me a place on the flat part of the tire so I asked again..why..too close..I will not do it. Said the manager. Okay..now what..you need a tire...better yet two..to match. Okay..do you have the same tire and will you price match tire rack .com. Now more fun. He got mad...(wow) It was noticeable on his face. I asked again, if it was okay. He said "Fine" (so I knew the guy was a ass because of how he was yelling at one of his techs, telling him to shut up, do his damn job, that he has a business to run") Okay..it gets better, I asked if he as wireless or if I could quickly borrow his extra PC to get the comparison. He went off. You got to be kidding me...you come in to my store and shop my prices then ask me to use my computer, with my power, with my Internet ...(I stopped him) Sir, I understand, give me my keys and I will go. He now said..no..use my damn computer..(I stopped him again) No...I want me keys..because you don't need me or my damn business or money. (so now he is red faced and I assume that everyone was getting a kick out of me yelling at him. So..here are a couple of notes, payless charges 12 dollars to fix a flat. He charges 40. Not only did they take care of my problem, but they treated me with respect and made me feel like a loyal customer even though I did not buy my tires from them. Went in to get my brakes fixed from squeaking in December 2019. Paid $880 to get all new brakes and rotors replaced after they recommended I needed all 4 replaced. Today, 4/2/20 is my 4th time to come back after telling them over and over that my brakes were squeaky EVERY day after having it done. I take it up there the 2nd time after explaining the constant noise and the guy told me it was dirt. I explained to him I've lived down a dirt road for more than 10 years and I didn't think it was dirt. They're brand new brakes and rotors. I mean, come on. Well, he didn't listen at all to what I thought and gave me some attitude telling me, again, that it was just dirt inside the brakes and that he wiped them down so I gave up and left. I called up there another few weeks later to talk to a manager and got the assistant manager. I said my brakes were still making the same squeaky sound and he explained that it was probably the type of product the brakes were made of so he told me to go up there and they'll take a look at it again. So I go up there for the 3rd time, keep in mind that every time I go up there I make an appointment, and they do a brake inspection, drive my car around, and tell me they didn't hear any noise. The noise is literally every day but not every time I drive it I explained. It might make the noise in the morning but might not make any noise later that night. I told the guy at the front desk that I can't just make it happen for them to hear it but I had video of it every day making the noise. He said that wouldn't help because they needed to see where it was coming from so I got fed up and explained that I paid almost a grand for this and no one's stepping up to fix it correctly. While I was waiting on my keys he ended up talking to, I guess, the manager while I wasn't looking and he came back to let me know they would redo my breaks for free. Soooo...I'm back, today, 4/2/20, on my 4th visit and they have me waiting 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to pull my car in. I was 10 minutes early so I showed up at 11:50am and they pulled my car in at 12:30pm. I pulled my car into the parking lot and they had about 8 people outside playing football in the parking lot so they obviously didn't have much to do. At this point, anything they did was just making me upset so maybe I'm just nitpicking right now. It took about 1.5 hours for them to work on it and left around 2:05pm. The papers they gave me when I left said they aired my tires up to 35 but they didn't. I know because my front passenger tire was low when I took it in and it didn't change. They were rude and disrespectful by not wanting to listen and not really caring. I am thankful that they replaced them for me and for the guy who talked to the manager on my 3rd visit to get them replaced but it was a mess dealing with them. Will never go back and pay $880 for brakes from them again after this. Will never go back to them, period. Let's hope this 4th visit and getting new brakes fixed the noise this time! LAST UPDATE: April 20th...since my 4th visit on April 2nd, not one noise from the brakes. They finally fixed them correctly or got better brakes on them but still won't get me to go back after all that. read more

This place tried to charge me double the price for an oil change of $130 on a Toyota car. They included $60 for labor for an oil change, very comical. Anyway, after the price was settled and my wife drove the car for couple of weeks and the maintenance light came on. I inspected the car and found out the oil was dripping everywhere. I unscrewed the oil cap and found they didn't bothered putting the o-ring on. I should have done my own oil change instead of having the "experts" do it. read more

I'll start first by saying I would give a zero if I could. I took my car in back in December for a brake job. Everything was fine and well then my brakes started squeaking again, I thought this was due to new pads. I took the car back in a week ago today and they said that the pad on one side was worn down to the metal, so they replaced to pads. They informed me if it happened again I would have to pay for the new brakes and they would have to investigate why it was happening. Needless to say the brakes were fine for the first two days last Friday they began to start squeaking once again. This time I took it to a different shop. This morning I was told they did NOT grease the pins nor did the rotate the rotors. It's now costing me another 300 to do a brake job without the pads. I arrived for the appt and was told that there no appointment in a matter of fact way. I pulled up my appt email and told John that I also called to verify. He then robotically repeated no appt in the system. We deal with this low level type of service because we except it. Hit them where it hurts, in the pocket and this will change. We take all of our cars to this location. I've bought tires here, get my oil changes done, and any other car issues that may arise. Never have I had issues or felt like I was being taking advantage of. I actually took a car in last month requesting brake work. They did a free inspection and advised that my brakes were fine. They did ask if there was a reason that I thought they should be changed. I trust the work that is done and this location will continue to be my go to place for that reason. read more

With a service based company, this may be redundant, but I believe telling you my story in dealing with this company is best. I took my truck to the shop for a coolant system check. My vehicle had begun to overheat, and I figured that my radiator needed a flush and fill, and possibly a new thermostat. I spoke with the manager on the phone and scheduled an appointment for the following morning. The manager was attentive and pleasant, and I understood there would be some up-selling, so I wasn't to upset with him trying. I left my vehicle and about two hours later received a call. I was told that my vehicle needed a new fan clutch, new radiator hoses and cap, a flush and fill, my rack and pinon needed to be replaced, along with all the hoses needed to make my vehicle steer properly, I needed a new battery, I had a nail in my rear tire, I needed new windshield wiper blades, a fuel injector cleaning, an oil change, and a couple other little services and tune ups. I asked the price and was told that the rack and pinon would be 900 and that I had to have it done or "I wouldn't pass a state inspection." Weird being that this is not something checked during an inspection. The coolant replacement was to be 1200. I was told, since I had a credit line with Firestone from the tires I purchased about 3 years ago, that my total would be 2800, or "as close to your limit as we can go." I told them to remove the nail from my tire and to do nothing else but call me when that was done. I started to do the math. 900 plus 1200 is 2100, where the other 700 came from, I had no idea, since this extra amount wasn't discussed with me at the time. I went to the shop and got a copy of the work order they wanted to do and found the extra services already typed and rearing to go. I asked for my keys and left. I called a local shop up and brought my vehicle to them. 598 dollars. Total. I asked about all the work firestone suggested I get done, and rather flatly was told they were taking advantage of me. My hoses were all fine and just needed new clamps to lock them in place. A new radiator cap was a ridiculous charge. My fan clutch was fine. My rack and pinon, fine. My battery, which I already knew, was fine. I change my own oil, use synthetic, and only had maybe 2K miles on oil. My vehicle needed a new radiator and thermostat. Complete. I had the work done at the other place and my vehicle runs just as smoothly as it has always done. Firestone is not a place I would ever suggest to take your vehicle for work. I had bought the tires there years ago, because I have bigger tires on my truck and they were one of the only places nearby to carry the size and make that I like. I do not trust their business practices, nor do I believe they have the customer's best intentions in mind. I get they are a business, but they are a business that fleeces unsuspecting people with hidden charges and top shelf pricing. I would highly suggest finding another place to service your vehicle, unless you have the extra money to spend. They were going to charge me 2800 to do work, that I got done for 600. Will not step foot into a firestone again, and will definitely not suggest them to anyone in need of car servicing. read more

I went in for an inspection at 9:45 in the morning, and there was no wait. He said they would be done at about 10:30, and I was out of the shop by 10:15. They weren't pushy and didn't try to sell me anything or tell me something was wrong with my car. I can't say if it would've been the same if I had gone in for a repair, but for the inspection, they were extremely efficient and friendly. Moses was the one at the counter, and he was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend getting an inspection here. read more

More bad news. A month ago I had my oil changed and tires rotated there because that's where I bought my tires and the tire rotation is free. Two days ago one of the tires I bought from Firestone blew out. It took two men half an hour to get the way-over-tightened lug nuts off. I've never seen such tight nuts. This was a spiteful trick they play on their customers. Heck with them. I just bought some Pirelli's from Tire Rack. Firestone did nothing after my last complaint except give me lip service. Negative Stars - I am extremely displeased with my service today. I went in as I needed my battery charged for my car and was told that I would need a full replacement as the battery was no longer good. No problem. I asked that they continue charging my battery and said I'll set up an appointment to return for the full replacement as they stated they didn't have a battery on hand today. Later, a tech named Moses (I believe) walked over and stated that he had called autozone and found a battery for $360 and that it would be an additional charge of $72 for system reset fees and that "HE had to go pick it up". I said ok hesitantly as I knew I was going to try finding a cheaper battery on my own. As I sat waiting in the lobby I searched on my phone for batteries and one of the FIRST ones that came up was the battery I needed from Autozone for $199. I called Autozone to verify the price because I could not believe this tech just flat out lied and Autozone (the one he supposedly called) confirmed that the battery is only $199 and that no one had recently called to inquire about a battery today. When I asked him about the price discrepancy, he proceeded to call Autozone "again" in front of me and upon the end of this nonsensical conversation, the tech says "Oh well I spoke with someone earlier and they told me it was that price ($360) but now they said they have a sale." Are you kidding me?? Would you have refunded the difference once discovering it was cheaper? No, as they'd ALREADY had an itemized invoice generated for me.... We are literally in an economic depression people. Please have integrity and do better. I am truly disappointed. read more

I got my alignment serviced here and bought the lifetime alignment a couple of months back. I came in on a Monday to get an alignment check and they told me they were busy. I was planning on dropping off the car, but they recommended for me to do an appointment for the following day and was told that the whole entire day was open. I made an appointment for noon. I came in at the agreed time of my appointment and sit in the lobby and then after 45 minutes I noticed that my car is still parked in the parking spot. What is the whole point of doing an appointment if they are not going to respect people's time? I asked them how long is my car going to take and reminded them I had made an appointment. I was then told that my car was next in line. Currently sitting in the lobby filling out a review because this is very frustrating and will not recommend someone to come here and waste their time. read more

They told me my state inspection was due and they could handle that for me. My inspection is not due for another two months....its right there on the sticker! Then they told me I needed two new back tires plus rotation. I drive a 2013 car that had brand new, top of the line tires put on less than two years ago at Discount Tire....who also rotates them for free every 6 months. This is the only place my truck has been since moved to Rowlett back in 2011. Since then all my routine work as well new tires have come from there and have always been pleased with their service. I also paid for a lifetime alignment years ago so every time I take it in for an oil change my alignment is handled at the same time. Today I took it in for grease I noticed in my wheel wells. Unfortunately, I needed new shocks and struts but they got it done and my truck rides so much nicer. No one likes a mechanic as they always feel they are getting taken. I took my car to the fire stone off of Lavon three times. All three times they fail to adjust my alignment correctly first time I left with the steering wheel crooked, came back the next morning, left still slightly crooked. I was busy, couldn't come back so I went to work as soon as I had a chance I came back again third time they blamed it on the tires, try to blame it on everything else. I insisted that they check the alignment again they check the alignment told me that there was nothing wrong with it and then so I took the car and I left. This morning I took it to fire stone off of Lakeview Parkway. Daniel was able to align it, straighten my steering, adjust the alignment perfectly within the first attempt. He show me the paper everything was completely off. So I have no idea what fire stone off Lavon was saying because clearly the alignment was completely off. Either they don't care or they're just incompetent. Either Way, Lakeview Parkway it's just a couple minutes down the road. Take your car there. Took my car in for oil change and was upsold on diagnostic. Nothing was explained. It took nine hours to get my car out of service. They didn't have my estimate for the egr valve replacement I requested. They didn't seem to care about my vehicle. Also, I didn't get a new oil dipstick I asked for. They told me to go to autozone. I have no idea how much oil is in the car. I was told I will get a call regarding the estimates. I am not happy with the service.
