I stopped by one day to see if I could bring my own oil to have them change it. I think his name was Lionel, very friendly and helpful. It was for my mom's car, so we came back later around 5 and Chaz and the manager. Were so helpful and kind.Even gave us an extra quart of I Oil cause we just had a 5 gallon jug and said next time we need to have 6 qts. So we were very happy with the service we received. read more

STAY AWAY FROM TAKE 5 OIL CHANGE! I took my vehicle there for an oil change. I figured they could handle an oil change considering that's all they do but I was so wrong! They only put 1 quart of oil in my vehicle (it calls for 4.2) This is a $8100 (give or take) mistake and they say they aren't responsible. Who could possibly be responsible for the oil level being wrong other than the person WHO CHANGED THE OIL!!! I had know idea about this but apparently Take 5 Oil change has a history of this. In fact this happens all the time. And they treat all the clients they do this to the same. They couldn't care less. I went 2 months without a vehicle and I'm married with 3 kids and a full time job. Now I have to drive my kids around not knowing when my vehicle will break down leaving us all dangerously stranded on the side of the road. Taking my car and trusting it with Take 5 Oil Change has been one of the worst decisions I've made in my adult life. read more

Abuela went to get fast Oil Change Saturday morning to support young women working for Take 5. What a mistake. Now she has to take her nice car to someone reliable. Her hood was up but she could hear Take 5 manager tell employee that "You can't leave her filter like that. This isn't first time doing that. If you do that again you could be fired." Abuela fears her nice car may not have been put back together when filter was changed. Boss man at Take 5 also heard saying "Dead ass make sure she needs an air filter." Abuela heard boss man say what sounded like they have a quota of 100 on Saturdays. She also needed tires checked and coolant level checked. Although checked on receipt as done no they didn't clean windshield or check tires. Instead of topping off coolant after freeze they tried to sell her antifreeze service for more than hundred dollars. Now she has to spend day at dealership getting car looked over again. Abuela mad she didn't go see Paul first down Highway 66. Should Abuela go back to Take 5? read more

Shop manager was very rude and confrontational. Yelled at me and another driver then when I pulled to the bay where he asked me to go he took other vehicles ahead of me and yelled at his employee not to take me but to continue working on other cars that arrived after me. This place sucks I was only trying to go there because they are open on Sunday. I left due to the lack service so the shop boy lost his company money and wasted my time as well. I went in for an oil change and received so much more. The manager, Chris showed me where my cabin air filter is located as he checked it out. He taught me where and how to check my cabin air filter. He even cleaned up "his mess" after checking the filter from the glove compartment. He wouldn't let me do it. He took responsibility for it. He even taught me the difference in wiper blades (why the price difference) quality. Ladies and gentlemen if you want to learn anything concerning your car please come this Take5 oil change place. Chris, Tyler, and Luci(in training) weren't condescending. They were willing to teach/educate me. They went above what was expected and required by their business. I will definitely come here from now on for any service that they can provide including state inspection. read more

I just left after spending $130 on an oil change and air filter. The guys who helped me were great and I understand it was a busy time. But when I called back to speak to someone (Raquel) she was so condescending about it, saying don't you think you should come back? Everyone had great customer service but her. I do not live in Rowlett so she could have done more to try and rectify it and not pass blame on someone else. My mother works around the corner so I was in town to see her. One recommendation to turn this into a wow. I think if staff was more uniform in communication and dress. They all had uniforms but painted nails and hats were different. Convo was more on issues or observations. Didn't feel like it was on brand or advice. Very friendly team! The company may look at manager/mid/junior teams on weekends. This is the closest Take 5 to where I live, but I don't mind driving further to get great service. Luckily for me, I don't have to. The Manager Chris at this location has serviced me twice and he is very knowledgeable and goes that extra mile to help. I went in for a radiator flush. He found that there was a pipe that had a hole and was leaking. He said they don't repair them there. However he said to go get the part and bring it back. I did just that and he fixed it within minutes. Today I went to do an oil change. I got there a few minutes before they opened and he was out there before the 7am start time already working on my car. He gave me a lot of good information. He filled my tires with air. (First time that service has been offered to me). Told me to have two tires checked as they were really low. He offered to clean my windshield. I frequent Take 5 a lot because I have to service my work vehicle. Unfortunately there is a Take 5 in the corner by the office and we have to take the cars there. But if it was up to me I would drive the extra 20 minutes for far superior service. read more

I love take 5 but this location I will not be back!! It was an outrageous wait of over an hour for an oil change. I ended up leaving early because I had to go to another appointment. Take 5 is supposed to be quick which is why people love the company but today, I was disappointed with this location and went to another take 5 in garland and it was amazing!! Just a little heads up about Take 5 Oil change in Rowlett. They damaged my oil pan and bolt and now refuse to pay for that damage. Rowlett manager stated my car had a recall for the oil pan, it was a known issue and they would not pay. Called Chevy, no recall now, nor has there ever been one. So that's a lie. Don't take your car here for a oil change or anything else for that matter, obviously they don't care. I have called their corporate office, but I don't expect anything from them either, but I have to try. Of course the damage wasn't found until I went to get the oil changed again. read more

Not gonna lie I did pay more than I thought but I have an uncommon car so it make senses. Taylor went out of his way to make my experience great. I drove to two take 5's and about 5 automotive stores in my area. After driving in circles I started calling shops and dealerships. When I called this take 5, Taylor offered to call around and see if he could get the part. At first he was unsuccessful but then my phone rings and even after we got off the call he continued to look. He found my filter and when I got to take 5 there was virtually no wait and they had me back in the road in no time. It's rare to get customer service like this and because of that it's the only place I will go going forward. I can't speak to getting an oil change or any work done on our cars. This was the closest place for us to get our state inspections done and the process was beyond simple and quick! Drove right up and right in both times and yes you do remain in your vehicle. The only time I had to get out for one of my cars was when he had to plug the computer in. And then they run you through the tests. Everyone was so kind and courteous, customer service is top notch. If I ever need anything else don't to my cars that they can take care of, I will be back! read more

I needed to get my van inspection done so I went to the Take 5 in Rowlett, I pulled up and someone came out to help me and I asked can I get an inspection he said the inspector was on break. It would be about 20 minutes. So I left. I came back about 30 minutes later the same guy that was there came out and said what can I help you with and I said I'm back I need to get an inspection. Is he off break and he says I can help you. So he wouldn't get a sheet of paper to write down and his first words to me were I was going to get to eat dinner. Like I was bothering him. He asked me to open up my hood and he looked under the hood for a little bit and then came to my window and said I had to much brake fluid and the brake reservoir. I never heard of this specially on an inspection so he told me that I needed to go bleed my brakes or take some brake fluid out so I left and I went home and I checked the brake fluid and it was right where it was supposed to be, so I feel like he blew me off so he could eat dinner. I took my car this morning to another shop. It passed with flying colors so I will not be back to this location again. read more

This will be a different review, because no money was exchanged. But WHY that was the case is the reason I'm going 5 stars. I came in to get my oil changed, right around at the mileage recommended on the sticker from the last place I got my oil changed. Popped my hood after pulling in, and the guy checked the dipstick a couple of times (something I'm embarrassed to say I'm not in the hair of doing), and showed me that both the oil level and color were still plenty good. Another place might have just taken my money and given me what I asked for, but that they didn't do that here, sparing me an unnecessary expense...I don't think you see that a lot these days. Top marks for for honesty, gives me a reason to go back when I DO need my oil changed. read more

The wait at this location is ridiculous and unnecessary. Only one of three lanes open while the staff hang out in the office area or talk to their friends as they pull up. The employee named Davis is the only one working and he is running around crazy with a line of cars behind me. This is the worst location I have been to. I had been to this location and their service has been okay, but the last time I went I waited for an hour for them to tell me that they did not have a tool to take out my oil filter. To me that is a lame excuse and I had been there before so, do not know why I was given that excuse. The employee told that he was going to look for it but he just pretended to do so and came back in like a minute and say to me that they did not have the tool to change my filter. Plus....they tried to sell a higher priced service compared to the first service because incorrect information in system. Employee's acted like they were mad about working that day.
