I called to get an estimate for an alignment gentleman told me 119 plus tax so I made an appointment got the alignment and then they were done in like less than 30 minutes I told him that I replace my inner outer tie rod ends and that's why I need to get the front end alignment that the vehicle pulls to the right a little bit, when I went to go pick up the car there's a hidden fee that was never explained to me even when I called to ask for an estimate of $12 shop supplied fee added on top of the 119 and then on top of that tax so I ended up walking out $150 for it If I would have known that I would not have went there This was my first time at Firestone and this will be my last time at Firestone hidden fees not disclosed at time of estimate and they will not refund me my $12. Also my car still pulls to the right so tomorrow morning I'm going to another facility to check the alignment and if there's a discrepancy from the paperwork and what is The actual numbers from another facility I'll be in contact with them again My car still pulls to the right I don't think they've done anything we'll find out tomorrow. I've gone to this location since they opened. I always felt like they've been honest, treated me fairly, and had relatively competitive prices. Unfortunately, their prices have gone through the roof. Over $100 for an oil change. They quoted me $500 for rear brake pad. Brake pads are $25 in parts and less than an hours work. They charge more than the dealership for spark plugs. $65 for in cabin air filter ($10 part and 30 seconds of work). They wanted $500 more than a local performance shop for a clutch. I mean, why wouldn't you just go to a dealership that specializes in your vehicle? Anyway, I just can't recommend this place anymore. read more

Took suburban in for not starting, jumpy acceleration, and had them replace brake fluid. 600.00 dollars later truck starts hard and barely, acceleration still really bad and jumpy and brakes barely work. Have to depress all the way to start stopping. Absolutely terrible mechanics. Looks like the just emptied master cylinder but didn't bleed brakes. Put on new starter but fuel delivery is still spotty and will just end up killing new starter. Complete waste of time and money. read more

Took vehicle in for simple oil change, air filter and fuel filter service. They did all the work as asked however they went above and beyond and rotated my tires, however my tires did not need rotated and had just been done a few thousand ago. So now they need put back, I called back and spoke to LeAnn the manager, she informed me they would be unable to fix their mix up and proceeded to tell me how I was wrong. Wow, this one takes the cake. I take in my newly-purchased car to have it inspected. They come back with, "front brakes need to be done. These rotors are pressed on, bearings come off and need to be repacked...real messy job. Takes 3 hours." Realizing I probably could not do it myself I tell them to move forward with the $810 job. After receiving my car back and paying the bill I email another mechanic, All Automotive Services in Kennewick, and ask them what it costs to do the job thinking it was going to be about $100 cheaper. It would have been $400 cheaper! Thinking that All Automotive is making a mistake I call them and say, "these are the bearings that need to be pressed on, yada yada yada." They say, "yes, we know. $415, or $360 if you want to go with the cheaper parts." So a friend calls Les Schwab. Same story! $425! I take my bill back to Firestone with the All Automotive email and Les Schwab quote and and ask what I am getting for an extra $400 over charge. I am going to make a long story short here, but they call Les Schwab (because they don't believe me) and get the same $425 quote. 20 minutes later after the guy talks with service manager and others, he comes back with (AND THIS IS THE PART THAT TICKS ME OFF), "we will give you $100 off." Really! You overcharge $400 and are only willing to give me $100 back! A few more minutes of negotiating and doing basic math and convince them to give me $320 back. That was still $80 short! But there is no way I am going there again. And I have gone there a lot. The guy actually says because I do so much business there he, "will refund the whole overage amount." Stay away. KEEP READING IF YOU WANT A FEW MORE DETAILS: During the process of negotiating to get my money back another mechanic, a fairly nice guy, pulls up the job on his computer. He shows me that just the labor on the job is $361. I show him the email from All Automotive where, if I went with a cheaper rotor and pad, the WHOLE job was $360 after taxes! The look on his face was incredulous and unbelieving. To continue to prove my case, I showed him the Les Schwab quote too. The look on his face was pure disbelief...I'm not sure if it was toward me or the fact that the software they use was so far off when it said 3 hours labor. Finally, they have cheap inspection services. My inspection was on sale for $10. They want you to get your car in there so they can over charge for so many other things later. Just don't even take your car there. UPDATE (4 days later): The manager called me a couple of days later and left a voicemail stating he would, "like to make it right". When I called back, he said that he thought Firestone owed me more money. I agreed...I did think I was still $80 short. I went in, and Steve B (manager) refunded me another $80. He was cool about it. for the most part, this was a stand up move. I asked how he knew that I felt I was still $80 short, and he said he found my review on Yelp. Thanks Yelp! A couple of things still bother me: 1. Why did the initially only offer me $100 off? Clearly I was overcharged $400! 2. When I inquired about what is being done to make it so the next person does not accidentally or purposefully get overcharged, I was told, "Corporate is aware of the situation." All in all, I would still stay away. But I have to bump my review up a star because they did reach out and they did eventually make things right. I just wish I was charged the correct price in the first place. The hassles and awkward moments were not fun. Update (7 days later): There is a humming/grinding noise coming from the front end. Take it to another mechanic, and he says the bearings were not not pressed together all the way. Yep, Firestone originally charged me twice as much for a job that they didn't even do correctly. I came in with a flat tire. My tires were Firestone tires so that's why I went there. The manager came into the office after an hour of my truck being in the bay and said quote I've got bad news you need a new tire in quote. I lost patience and told him just to put it back on because there's no way a single nail in the flat bottom of my tire would cause a new tire. I told him I was taking it to Les Schwab. This isn't the first time. The Kennewick Firestone did the same thing to my girlfriend who had a single small screw in the flat part of her Tire. Only she wasn't smart enough so bought a new tire. When I took the vehicle to Les Schwab in 20 minutes they have the tire patched and had found another nail puncture and fix that as well for no fee. I'll never go back to Firestone. TireRack used to use this Firestone as an installer (shortly after they were dropped I believe). I had my tires drop shipped here so they could install them. They installed them fine. This occurred a few years ago but wanted to share on yelp. They promised free rotations so I "bit" and had them do the first one. I usually do them myself but thought hey might as well right? Well first off it took forever. I had to wait, and wait, and wait some more. Yes for a simple tire rotation. So I held on because hey they are doing it for free right? I suspect they kept pushing my car back as people starting coming in to buy tires there. They finally finished... Now I did a little test. I marked each tire so i could confirm they actually rotated them. So I drove away after they gave the car back. I stopped at the park, looked at the tires, and they had not rotated them AT ALL! I showed them the marks and the fact that the front passenger tire was still there etc etc. They ASSURED me they rotated them and the manager said "I saw them do it personally". I told him that was not true. He then said perhaps someone rotated them again. After stressing to him the importance of rotating tires for safety and life, I told him it's unacceptable. I filled out a complaint on their site to coorporate. A few weeks later I got the manager calling giving me a half-hearted "i'm sorry". I could tell he didn't want to call me and by his tone he was annoyed that I complained. I said well I can't ever trust you to touch my car again but thanks for the apology. read more

OK place. They are decent at what they do, but at least they insure their work and will make it right to please the customer. Now, Let's all be Honest here. They are a business, they have to make money. You need to do some research for whatever job you are going to have them do. Call 4-5 different places, get some quotes and figure out what is best for your situation. You need to remember that most of the work the suggest is simply preventative. Now, often times people who don't know much about cars will fall for some of these tricks, but you gotta remember they are as business. Actual people work there and they need to make money. Great Location. Had my tire blow out on the way home from Pullman to Vancouver. I got towed in 30 minutes before close and they got me a fabulous deal to fix two of my tires and I replaced all four for a steal of a deal. Not I oh did they stay open past closing to get me back on the road, when we left my car was pulled right up front with the front door cracked open (it doesn't open from the outside). Unfortunately for me, my husband has been lured in with their credit option and therefore keeps taking my car to them for repairs. That said, my car is a certified POS and they have only exasperated the issues. Drop my car off with one problem only to leave with another. I'm honestly at the point where I feel like they're just trying to ensure my death by traffic accident. I've been in three times now with clutch related issues. The most recent was last week. I was told that my wheel bearing was broken and needed replaced and that's why my clutch would click and had no tension at all. Ok...they fixed that problem and sent me on my way. I left with problems still starting the car. I'd have to pump the clutch 3-10 times before the car would start, then today, same click and lack of tension. I'm so over their shoddy work. We spent over $3000 last fall to fix every issue with this car and all they did was put bandaids on the problems. I'm beyond frustrated. UPDATE 6.20.17: After my above review and subsequent communication with their customer care, Firestone had my car towed back to their location, found and finally fixed the clutch issue. The car doesn't even drive the same. There's no clicking in the clutch, no vibration throughout the entire car, and I don't have to fight to get into any gear. The store manager was exceptional to my husband and I and wanted me to test drive the car before she signed off on anything. I really appreciate the fact that she did that, and that she didn't charge us for the repairs today. I don't like that it took so many visits to finally get it accomplished, or the thousands of dollars it's taken to finally get it right. But I do finally feel confident that the car is running well and should hold up for awhile. Will I return for future repairs should problems arise? Jury is still out... read more

Despite my better judgement after the questionable "service" I received the last time, I brought in my car for a full service inspection. They did correctly analyze some issues (needing to replace rear wheel cylinder that was leaking), but they proceeded to also tell me to replace all four tires, replace the battery, and do a coolant flush & fill. I just want to say that I bring my vehicle into service shops to get an accurate assessment of my vehicle. I am paying for a service. Some of these shops appear to think that you are paying a cheap price for the inspection so they can gouge you in unnecessary services. The last time I went in they said my coolant level was "OK" and did not recommend a coolant flush and fill. I had come home to find my coolant level low, so I did a coolant flush and fill. Less than two weeks later, when performing this "inspection" they recommended coolant flush and fill based on the mileage NOT based on the actual appearance of the coolant, which they are not afraid to admit is how they recommend that service. Next, my battery still has over a year left on the warranty and is not needing to be replaced which is really frustrating they would say it does need to be. Finally, two tires have 6/32" while other two have 4/32". This is "low" but I can certainly get another 6-8 months on those tires before they "need" to be replaced. In other words, I can get through the whole Spring, Summer, and Fall and replace them before next winter. I am disappointed with the service recommendations by this shop. I will not go back if I can help it. read more

We were driving through the Tri-Cities while traveling in Eastern Washington when my Subaru started giving us alerts about the oil being low. We read the owner's manual about what type oil to use, a special synthetic oil, but couldn't find it anywhere. We stopped in Firestone and they put in two quarts of it and then didn't charge us anything. They did it for free and in five minutes we were on our way. Ok, so we needed to buy new tires for my husbands Chevy truck. We did what I think most people do and price shopped to about 6 different placed (I am not necessarily cheap, however I want to make sure we get the best value and product). Several places we walked into, it was all we could do to get some help and it was here is a price quote, thanks for stopping by. I get that they probably get a lot of price checking however we were ready to buy and just needed to figure out where and what was best for our truck. Firestone was our first stop (should have been our last), we worked with Norm and honestly he was the only employee who actually took the time of day with us. Talked us through the pros and cons of the tire choices we had and we walked out feeling like we got some great information. I went home and searched reviews of a couple of our stops and will be honest I was nervous when I read Firestones. At the end of the day Firestone had the tires we wanted (the ones that would work best) and my husband and I decided to go there. The next day we went back and the first thing I said to Norm was I really appreciated that he took time for us however I read some on-line reviews and was a little nervous. I didn't want any hidden charges when we were done. He printed out a quote signed it and said no matter what this was the cost. Needless to say, we came in a little under the quote price and we got new tires put on without a hitch! Thank you Norm and Firestone for the great service!! I am a firm believer that good customer service should not go un-noticed. We will definitely be back in the future when it's time for the car to get some new tires. read more

Took our work truck in for service, alignment and tire rotation. Picked up the truck. Got home and realized the tires had not been rotated. I called and they said they did not have anything strong enough to lift up the truck. Its a Dodge Ram 3500. Not a Semi!! I asked you do not have a jack there that can lift up one corner of the truck? "No" How do you mount tires on pick ups? Crazy. They did not do the alignment because they said I did not ask. This was the main reason I brought it in and repeated this request more than once, and just wanted to get it serviced while they had it. Really?? Cannot jack up a pickup? Come on!!! This is my second time I have taken a vehicle there and first was not much better but they did at least give me a price break after trying to charge me $500 for FRONT ONLY brake job. I've taken my company MPV here, and my personal Odyssey multiple times. They have been fair to me every time and have done the work properly with no mistakes. They have even been gracious enough to overlook one of my mistakes in dealing with them, so kudos to them for doing that. If you want simple service I don't know a better alternative locally. My only complaint so far has purely been over the way they offered their special transmission fluid change service without offering a normal transmission fluid change at the same time. They are a business running on selling you more service, so as long as you have the right mindset in dealing with them you will likely be happy with their service. read more

I took my suburban in for the full synthetic oil change and 15 point inspection a couple of month ago. They changed the oil and gave me a list of other things that "needed" to be fixed. I had mentioned that there was an oil leak that a mechanic friend of mine said was the oil plug gasket. They claimed it was the oil pan gasket and quoted me $550 to replace it. My mechanic friend said that he would do it, so I bought the part for less than half of what Firestone was quoting me (for the best quality one at Autozone). During the process he discovered that the gasket was fine and that Firestone had not even bothered to put a gasket on the oil plug. On top of that, the oil level was too high after the Firestone oil change. If I didn't know better, I might think that they wanted for me to have a big puddle of oil on my garage floor so that I would came in for the expensive replacement. I was also told about a couple of other items that needed to be fixed that were false alarms. I no longer trust this company to service my vehicles. I might still buy tires from them, but my cars will stay out of their shop for everything else. read more

I thought these guys were great. Routed me into some really good tires. While they were working on my car though, they told me my brake pads were just about worn out. Well, I don't drive that car much, and I thought I'd done new pads a few years ago, but I wasn't sure. Good thing for me I work on my own cars. Brake pads are really easy to install, so I told them I would do that myself. The guy I was working with gave me a strange look, and I left. I ordered new pads along with new front rotors (I'd warped mine again and already had them turned once before). I pulled the wheel, removed the caliper, and behold, I was looking at a brake pad with about 5,000 miles wear on it. They were effectively brand new. They had flat out lied to me to charge for more service. If you want my advice, which you seem to because you're still reading this review, avoid this shop like the plague. I recommend Kurt's, Pasco Auto Repair on 20th to everyone and so far everyone has had an excellent experience. read more

Went in to get my brakes replaced because I was told they were at 30% in September and its now June so I figured it was time for replacing, before something bad happens. They do an inspection and say that the brakes are totally fine. Since my car was already there and I just hit 60,000 I decided to let them do some of the maintenance things that I was already planning on doing a.e timing belt, water pump, brake fluid flush, coolant. Go to pick up the car and they told me $300 over the quoted price, it says they replaced spark plugs when I specifically said I didn't want to do it right now, but they charged me for it, and they charged me for transmission flush and I didn't ask for that. So brought up the Spark Plugs and he asks the technician and apparently they didn't change them, just added it to my bill which was apparently the computers fault, yeah right. So he took it off the bill, only for me to get into my car with grease stains all over the side of my seat. Not going there again! read more

Yep, it's a Firestone Complete Auto Care - just like the other 1.3e5 around the country. This one is off to an auspicious start. I took my beater car in for an estimate to see what new struts would cost. Before it was all said and done, the bill was $1700 - which was more than I paid for the car - and included a new u-joint boot, new upper control arms, struts, etc. I usually do all the work on my cars, motorcycles, etc. and I decided to do the work myself and suffer a few skinned knuckles to save some labor dollars. What did I find? The upper control arms were just fine - no signs of degradation whatsoever. Firestone wanted $100 for each arm (not a bad price, but not great either) plus installation labor, which means it was almost $300 of extra work that didn't need to be done. Everything else they had on the list was fine. My advice to you? Steer clear or get a second opinion before getting work done here. read more

I had two bad experiences with these guys and will never go back there again! NEVER!!!! For one, i took my car there for a simple oil change, i was told it would take about 30-45 minutes to get it done, so i waited. When i was sitting in the waiting room, i was peaking through the window so i can see what they were doing to my car and for a good hour i saw that no one was even working on my car, i then started getting pissed off until i saw someone come back start working on the oil change, it took them 2 hours to do a oil change that they said would take 30-45!!!!! On my second bad experience, i took my car in there because it was leaking anti freeze somewhere and i needed to get that fix. Me being nice figured i would give these guys another shot, i took my car in there so they can check it out and tell me what needed to get fix and how much. When i went to go pick it up my car i was told that in order to fix that leak repair, it would cost me a little over $2,000.00, that right there seemed too much to get it fixed so i told them no. I took my car to their competitor so they can check it out and give me a quote, their competitor quoted me a little over $300.00. I told their competitor what Firestone told me was the issue and they laughed because what Firestone had told me was no where near the issue, that right there pissed me off and made me feel like Firestone was just trying to scam me!!!! Their competitor fixed my issue and even gave me a discount at the end of the day. NEVER EVER again will i go to Firestone... I WOULD NOT recommend anyone go there. My "03" Chev Avalanche would not turn over when I came out to go to work last thursday. So I call AAA and they come out and give me a jump. I then figure I better get it checked out so I take it to this Firestone. After about a half hour they tell me it needs a new battery. It's rated at 770 CCA but now has only 330 CCA. So they say that will be $139. I figure that's got to be the most expensive battery ever made. I'm thinking maybe $70-100 in that range. It is an interstate battery which I've heard is one of the best. So when I get the bill it's $175. Turns out they charge $25 as a diagnostic fee and then another $15 for the installation fee. When I look up on their website the battery only costs $99. It also comes with a $20 rebate. So I'm way overcharged right off the bat by $60. Then they added in the hidden fees, installation and diagnostic. I was price gouged big time and then the same again with their 22.9 % int. credit card. I put a fair review of what happened on their website. The next day the mgr calls me. No apology for the goughing or offer of cash back. His attitude was it was all a fair deal to me. I guess you'll have to be the judge. $175 for a battery just seems way to much to me ! The truck then stalls out 3 times within the first block driving away. I take it right back and they say I might have fried a throttle body computer and they will try to re-set it. I figure they're just trying to set me up for more big bills. After another half hrs working on it with 3 guys they finally get it re-set. No charge for that just the time, the headache, and the hassle of not doin it right the first time. read more

I have taken my car ('08 Audi A4) here for the last time. My first visit was simple an oil change. I brought the car home and had to take it back the next day because it was then leaking oil. They blamed a faulting seal. Next, the fuel pump went bad and needed replacing. Took it there instead of the dealer because their labor costs were less and the sweet talked me in to having it towed there. The estimate came in at almost $900 dollars with diagnostics while Overturf would of done it for $650 with diagnostic. If the price gouging wasn't bad enough I put $30 in fuel in the car and got 65 miles out of it before it was on E because they didn't tighten a "couple" fuel lines. Again blaming it on the funny connections that Audi has instead of the simple fact that they didn't read the instructions correctly. If you do take it there get estimates elsewhere or get AAA and have it towed to a different shop. They are perfectly nice people. If you want poor workmanship and a up sale on everything and like to waste your money they are your guys. read more

I have had my car with Firestone since Sunday and I was originally suppose to have it back by Monday night, it's Thursday and I still don't have it back. This is the third time that I have had to take my care to get the same part fixed. Obviously they will fix it for free, but their service and communication is very very discouraging. Since this is the third time that I have had to have the same part fixed and they have had my car longer than expected, I don't think I will go back. I spend a lot of money at Firestone, my car in the past has always gone to Firestone to be serviced, the treatment I have received will unfortunately end my business at Firestone. I had a blow out on the freeway today coming home from work. I was near the exit where Firestone is located, so instead of trying to change a flat tire on the freeway in the snow, I drove on the flat to Firestone. I was prepared to buy 4 new wheels and a new tire. I was told it would be over an hour and a half wait before my car got looked at. I asked if they could just switch the tire for me to my spare tire (which would take them about 2 minutes) and was told that too would take over an hour and a half. I proceeded to change the tire myself in their parking lot in the snow. The employees watched me do it and said nothing. No one spoke to me except the woman at the desk inside, and she was not friendly. I am a faithful Les Schwab customer and this is why. I am positive that not only would they have switched my flat for the spare on the spot, they would have been friendly about doing it. And I would have been asked by every employee how I was, and had I been helped. They meet you in the parking lot as soon as you pull up. To me, one tire is as good as another, and one wheel is as good as another. The only difference to me is price and customer service. I drove home on my spare tire and will go to Les Schwab tomorrow to buy wheels and a new tire. read more

So, here I sit 4 hours after I dropped my 4runner off for an oil change, tire rotation and alignment. I had an appointment and even dropped while off a bit early. Said it would be done by 12:30. I show up at 1:00 and they haven't even started alignment yet... This happens every time. Ridiculous! Appointments should get priority even if we don't stay and wait in the waiting room! read more
