I have been taking both my cars to firestone for YEARS! Never really had any complaints. The one near the mall does a decent job and this one does a decent job, however my battery died recently due to huge corrosion and according to my reports on May 2019, OCT 2019 and March 2019 battery check was GOOD. Well based off the pictures not sure they really checked the battery at all, especially in March!!!! I brought my vehicle in to have an oil change done. The staff was friendly and courteous. The place was well maintained and they offer coffee inside (added bonus). I had made an appointment and was taken in on time. The service did not take too long, and they place a plastic sheet over your drivers seat in order to keep you vehicle clean. However, when Larry took over as manager, customer service has greatly improved. They price match many competitors including costco tire center! Out of all the Firestones in the west San Fernando Valley, I highly suggest going to this one! Making an appointment online or on the phone is your best bet. Lastly, the best deal at Firestone is their lifetime alignment for less than $200. You can get unlimited wheel alignment as long as you own the car. read more

LADIES BEWARE!!! Came here to fix a coolant leak. When I received the quote they were charging me $93.99 for the thermostat housing water outlet. I may not be a mechanic but this did not look right to me so I told him I needed a minute to go over the price. I was able to find the exact part for $35.99. When I asked why he was charging so much he couldn't tell me why except that it was the part I needed. So I asked if I could purchase the part myself and bring it in and he flat out refused saying that he wouldn't do the work if I didn't purchase the part from him. He expected me to just fork over $254 like it was nothing ($135 labor, $93.99 part, $25.50 coolant). I am so beyond disgusted at how blatantly he tried ripping me off. I went to a local mom and pop shop after I left and I was able to get the part at it's regular selling price. Do NOT let this place rip you off. You have options!!! Go elsewhere!!! TL;DR They tried to charge me 3x the cost of a part. When I called him out he said he wouldn't do the work unless I over paid. read more

If I could put 0 stars I would but since I can't they only get one star. They preformed an oil change and tire rotation on my 2016 Honda Civic. After taking the vehicle on the freeway the belly pan was ripped out from under my car. It appears that Firestone neglected to put all the mounting fasteners on the belly pan. Larry and his crew bailed us out when we were in a jam on a Sunday afternoon. Coming from the Los Angeles area on the 118 towing our horse trailer when we experienced a blowout. I contacted AAA because I was originally under the impression that our horse trailer would be covered (it was not, different subject). None the less, I called Firestone and Larry advised me to bring it in and they could swap out the blown tire for the spare (that's all I wanted). Went to Northridge (from the OC) to enjoy a movie and some time with the family today... came out from the movies with a flat tire. This was around 5pm on a Sunday! Hubby fixed us up with the spare and then we frantically called around trying to find a place that would help us patch up the tire. Seeing that most places close around 6, we decided to just stop in to a few places that close at 7. None of them were willing to help us. We decided to stop by this Firestone to take a chance even though, by now, it was just before 6pm and that's the time they close! We were greeted by Manager Larry (Lawrence) and after a brief talk, he was so understanding of our situation and really wanted to help us! Turns out we needed more than just a patch so we ended getting a whole new tire. He got the technician to stay a bit later to help us out and he was also there until the job was done. We are so thankful for the Firestone team today as we are driving back to the OC, feeling much safer than if we would be if we were driving on our spare. I just had all four tires replaced on my car and the experience was ok. I had originally given them 3 stars but remembered that years ago I was having an issue with my tire sensor so I stopped in to see if they could reset it and they did. It only took about ten minutes and the guy who helped me didn't charge me for it. That's why I came back, years later, to purchase tires here. I got standard road tires as my car is only for commuting 30 miles a day to work down the 405. Lawrence was great, he offered me extras but didn't push when I turned them down. My only complaint, and the reason I was going to give them 3 stars, is that when I got there at 7am Saturday morning with a 7am appointment there was only one clerk there and it took 15 minutes to be seen, not a big deal, but Lawrence told me it would take about 1-1/2 hours to finish. It actually took nearly 3 hours!! I'm not complaining about the length of time it took, just the inaccurate time estimate. I recently found out I have to specifically ask for them to do a tire rotation and alignment every single time I bring the car in for an oil change. No one ever told me that and I've been assuming they've been doing it all along, especially since I bought their lifetime alignment package 3 years ago. I paid for nothing. They've been documenting the uneven treadwear but never once asked me if I wanted the alignment done. But they just tell me I need to buy new tires. If they were doing the alignment all along, my tires wouldn't be wearing out 50 percent too soon. read more

My last service I asked to check why my brake dashboard light was on. The didn't bother. They checked on brake behind one side of the tire. Said my brakes were working fine. Two days later. I USE to come here for all my tire needs, so I passed Goodyear and Americas tire and went to them today so they can install 2 new tires that i had on to 2 new wheels that I had. Since I wasn't buying a tire from them they didn't want to do it. They said "We can't install tires on black rims, our machine will scratch it, go to Americas tire up the street they have a better machine." really or you don't want to put the time for the service on a returning customer since its not a big profit. When I came to this location I asked for a specific set of tires. I was given 3 separate options to choose from. Each one of them was great and they had them in stock. Once I made my decision the sales team Raquel and another man who I did not catch his name but he was helpful too. They all stayed about an hour and a half after they closed the day before Thanksgiving to finish my car. I was extremely happy and thankful that the technician stayed later to finish my car. Came in for a oil change and tire rotation, the next day a check engine light. I brought my car back to have it checked out to see if it was related to the oil change. Apparently it's a code that isn't common for the amount of miles on my car let alone really odd considering I didn't have any problems for a year. Yes, I understand things come and go with a car but the DAY AFTER I brought my car for inspection and oil change? I've only had this experience a couple other times in my car owning life and those shops are no longer in business. At least they did the diagnostic for free (which would have been $99 to hook up a scanner to the car). Still, I know places that would do this for free. $99 for 5 minutes of labor to take a plastic cover off and attach the cables?! Not going back. read more

So weird to see recent negative reviews for this location! I've been getting my cars serviced here for years, and Larry ALWAYS takes care of me with professionalism and courtesy. He has NEVER done anything to my cars without consent! I can't even imagine that! Even when I've left my car there for the day to get worked on, they're always really great about calling and updating me to determine what course of action we're going to go with depending on what the diagnostic tests show. Simply would never come back. Changing parts without owners permission is ABSOLUTELY not acceptable. Don't know if this is a Firestone thing or it's just this branch that does that. What else can you do when you have a tight schedule and cant wait longer for your car? You can only hope that the car is fixed and pay for whatever they asked for BECAUSE they replaced your car parts WITHOUT telling you price and asking your permission. Went in for what I thought would be a simple wheel alignment. And they damaged my car in the process and refuse to own up to it. Im guessing because they did $1,800 worth of damage and then lied about it. They even tried to downplay it as been a blown fuse, knowing if a blown fuse was the issue there would be no power going to the affected area. Ive already contacted the B.B.B. and will take this to small claims court. This is unacceptable. If you made a mistake, its okay. But whats not okay is lying about it and refusing to resolve it. I have a report from the Lexus dealership stating the damage and what could have caused it and yet Firestone still refused to pay for the damage, saying they aren't at fault. read more
