Up front, I want to make this clear. Nobody goes to a car service center because it's a fun place to visit. No. Body. I count myself in this group. As such, I was not looking forward to my visit. My car was squeaking when rolling so I narrowed the issue down to brakes or bearings, two components that will wear down as a car is used. Used the handy website to make an appointment. A few minutes passed before an email confirmation was received, which made me feel better as it meant someone most likely did a parts check to ensure a repair, if needed, could actually be accomplished this day. This day happened to be a Sunday, which is another win because most shops are closed on this day. They got me in, looked at the car and it was the brakes. They also saw I needed tires (I knew this but did not have time to do any research) and offered a set of tires in the quote for the brake job. I ended up getting all of it done. It took about 4 hours, which seemed long to me but they were quite busy so I'm not complaining. The waiting area is not large and the TV is distracting. There are a couple of benches outside so I sat there for a while. The employees were courteous and hard-working and did a good job interacting with customers both in-person and on the phone. I will do more shopping around next time I need work but it is good to know I can come here for decent work if I'm in a bind. read more

One star because I can't give it zero. I took my car in for an oil change a few months ago. All I wanted was an oil change. Before I got the keys back to my car, I got a 20 minute monologue on why I needed to change out every air filter, gasket and widget. It didn't matter how many times I said, "No thank you.", "I only came in for an oil change.", "Thank you, but I only budgeted for an oil change..." the upselling just kept going. Look, I'm not a "car person", but I know how to maintain my vehicles and I know when my filters were last replaced. I came for an oil change, got a weird lecture complete with loud exhales every time I decline services that did not fall under "oil change" and wasted half my day because they have zero respect for the customers time or money. I will never use them again for anything. Costco and Discount tire do a far better job at tires and I can get a hassle free oil change with great customer service for $10 more at the Toyota dealership. Save yourself the frustration and skip this disaster of a shop. read more

Overpriced and they tried to get me to buy a brand new set of tires because they said they were "cupped very bad" when I got there I noticed no cupping and the guy that came out to explain it to me said it was very minor. I was sent to this Firestone from another store to get a battery replaced under the warranty, the other store didn't have the battery available. They already talked to the other store and made sure the only thing I needed when I got there was to hand out the battery and my receipt. When I got there a lady takes care of me, I told them that we come from the nearest Firestone and that they already called and I just need to have the battery replaced. She starts going thru every battery exchange over the past three years on my record and tells me they cannot exchange the battery, they bring a manager and tested the battery and it comes out as "good". So they tell me they cannot exchange the battery and that my car is the issue. I went home and tried starting my car and it didn't start again with the "good" battery. Funny thing is that three years prior I took my car to Firestone because I thought the same thing, that my car somehow was draining the battery, I left the car with them for about 4 days, it took 4 days for them to verify it because I didn't have an appointment at the time. My car went basically dead, all of a sudden. But on day 4 I was told that after an extensive check, the issue was just the battery, not the car, so I had to buy a new battery. Now with no money to buy a new battery, I'll just go to the original location I went to and I'll just wait for a battery. But from now on I will stay way from this Firestone location. Next time my battery dies I'll just go to Walmart, the price of the battery was the same price I paid for my last warranty replacement which was $106 and less hassle if I need to have the battery warranty replaced. read more

I would not suggest you use this store. On 12/31/2018 I took my car to their shop with a complaint of rubbing from the back passenger wheel. Having waited for over an hour, despite having an appointment, I was told they couldn't locate the problem. Today 01/01/2019, I am spending over a $1000 to have the repair made. My family and I were traveling and began having car trouble. We didn't feel comfortable driving 4 more hours in our van, so we stayed the night at the nearby Hampton and got up early to get in first thing. The team here was friendly and helpful from the beginning. The did however mislead me a little on how long it would take, but I'm very appreciative that while we were there they gave my 2 young children have safety glasses and allowed them to see some of what they were doing. Our daughter is a student at MTSU and we are 3 hrs away. She called upset saying her steering wheel was messed up and was afraid to drive. She was at work and this location was in the area. Firestone checked her car and came back with over $3000 worth of work. She called us crying. We suggested she check the power steering fuild and it was empty. Filled it up and its fine now. Called the store and asked if they had checked it and they said yes and had filled it up. No way that it all leaked out in 2 hrs and nothing on the ground. Thanks for scaring our daughter and not protecting her. We will never use your services. Next time a student comes in there try to be honest and not leave it broken for the money. I came in with a popped tire. Ended up leaving with 4 tires, with about $100 of extra charges and fees. I was "upsold" 4 times for things I didn't think I needed or had already done recently at other dealerships. My head light was out and I asked them to fix it. I was charged for it, but later that day I found out the light wasn't fixed and I had to go back to get them to properly fixed. 1hr15 minutes later they finished with no apology for charging me for a service they didn't complete the first time. This location is very unorganized and have zero respect for their customer's time. Scheduled an appointment for Sunday, but realized I needed a Saturday appointment. When we called back to request the change, the representative on the phone couldn't even find the original appointment. This really should have told us everything we needed to know about this location, but I know mistakes happen. Our appointment was for 2:00 PM. We were assured over the phone that they would be able to perform the oil change and diagnostic before closing on the same day. That changed to, we aren't ready we need to hold it overnight. It was explained to them that this was ok, but the car needed to be done at 10 AM and anything we found during the diagnostic we would reschedule for the next weekend. The next morning we called to make sure the car was ready. According to the representative, the diagnostic was run and oil change was complete. They gave us the quote for the parts, we accepted, and got a Lyft to grab the vehicle. When we got there, the oil change was not complete. Mind you, it took an hour to get there. In addition, they lost our keys and had the nerve to ask us to provide another set. Cutting out the unpleasantries, once the keys were found we decided to go with another Firestone location we were more familiar with. This review does not reflect my feelings toward all Firestone locations, I actually love Firestone overall. This is a reflection of this location. My sincere advice, try another location. Cars range from 1995 to 2017 models, and most of my service is done at Firestone on Thompson. Use the smart card coupon for a buy 1 get 1 oil change to save a little money. Recently, I had a noise under my hood, and the mechanic went to great lengths to find the cause via the $10 inspection fee. Turned out to be that I had swapped my windshield wiper arms when I replaced the battery, and it was rubbing the hood to cause the noise. Very hard to isolate, but the fix was quick and CHEAP. Not always the cheapest place to get work done (or I'd make them 5 stars) but they earned my trust over the years. read more

I knew my serpentine belt needed replacing so I took it to Firestone on 7/26. They ran a complete diagnosis check and said it needed to be replaced. They replaced it and told me I needed tires as well, and a few other things. The next day my car was making a screeching noise worse than before, and then it stopped. I decided to take my car back again, but on my way to Firestone my air stopped working,and my power steering went out. These are signs of belt malfunction. Firestone said they would look at it and see. They did, and called me to say bolts were missing or stripped on the air compressor, and the belt wouldn't stay on. It would cost me $400 plus more to fix it. Im thinking how did you fix it the first time, if bolts were missing or stripped. After a few phone calls they couldn't fix it, so we were refunded the initial payment. We paid to get the car towed and had no belt at all. read more

I was out of town and in Murfeesboro Tn for my kids dance competition. I had a tire that the inner belts had broke and the outer rubber was breaking off. It was a Sunday January 2019. I had driven it to a few locations all of them told me they could not get to it till tomorrow. I had to have my kids back that night so they could make it to school Monday. I called every where. Then I called this Firestone and a lady answered. I wish I could remember her name. She said, "Sure honey bring it on in we will take care of you." Note when I got there they were very backed up. They had a lot of vehicles and customers inline. Yet they bumped me to the front due to my circumstance. Yet I heard the manager reprimanded her for bumping me on the list. I was desperate because I was missing my kids performances because I had to do this while they were at their competition. The guys in the shop replaced my tire expeditiously and timely so I could return to my kids. I took one star off because the manager was mad at her for taking very good care of me. Came in for a check engine light relating to the smog pump. I was told I needed a new pump which would be $465 with $100 in labor not to mention the $100 to Diagnose the problem. I found the entire pump with hoses and solenoid at O'Reilly for $217. I assume they are buying the part from the same place or maybe AutoZone. It is crazy to me how they think it is justified to charge double what the part cost. Please don't waste your time going to this place find a small shop they won't rip you off! read more

We have used this business multiple times for oil changes, new compressor, and alternator, and they have done a fair job. We have had to have our van towed back to them to re-do a repair before, which may have been due to a faulty part. I wish I could believe that they are giving me a great deal, but I have found that there are other reputable businesses in town that offer better prices on repairs and routine maintenance with the same warranty. I don't think I will be back after yesterday's experience; their quote was almost $150 more than the next highest quote, and I was told I shouldn't drive it off the lot. When I brought up the other quote, I was offered a credit card deal that would give me about a $40 refund. I personally don't want to finance car repair, especially when there was a better deal nearby without what I felt were scare tactics. Also, I feel that as a prior customer, there has never been a huge incentive from them to keep my business; no price match-or even a review of the other quote-, no apology for the re-do of the alternator repair, push back when reimbursement for the tow was requested, etc. Incidentally, my van made it to the other location without any issue. I don't think they were being dishonest to warn me about the condition of the van, but it isn't the first time I had a gut feeling of things not being quite right. read more

It should be a crime for the prices they are ripping customers off at. I called for a quote to check on brakes, rotars for front and back 2 wheel drive, rear baring assembly, and I am sickened. I purchased everything at a local car parts store and could have done better on Ebay, but wanted exchanges to be faster if something was wrong. So my total price was 327.98 dollars for 4 rotors, 4 sets of brake pads, and one rear wheel baring assembly. It really wasn't hard after watching some YouTube videos and getting a few right tools and bars to get some rusted on bolts off. So add like 15.00 more dollars maybe. It was a little dirty but felt good when Firestone quoted me 1,254.89. Then the guy comes up with some sort of magic discount and knocks it down to 1,100 some dollars. I saved over 800.00 basically by watching some YouTube videos and shopping around. It would have taken them 2 hours since they have all the tools, but COME ON, 800.00 MARK UP? Thanks but no thanks. Very unhappy with my experiences at this location. The first visit was to purchase tires which took them several hours to install. They stated that they were having equipment issues. understandable. The second visit was to get my tire replaced after hitting a pothole. I called and they agreed to replace it for free because I had purchased the road hazard warranty. I drove it in on the spare and told them to also check my alignment as well (I purchased lifetime alignments here the same day I purchased tires). I get a call a few hours later from someone at Firestone saying my car pulled hard to the right when braking. He then informed me that the spare was on during this test drive. I'm not a mechanic or tire specialist by any means but anyone who has half a brain should've known not to test drive a car for an alignment issue BEFORE the new tire was replaced. This was very upsetting as they could've potentially wrecked my car. It gets worse.... yesterday my third visit to this location. I go in for a tire rotation and alignment. I leave the store and travel out of town. I start hearing this god awful noise when I go to park. I get out and look at my tires and they have mounted my rear tires to the front and the front to the back. I have staggered tires. Meaning the back are wider than the front so the front tires are rubbing the inside of my wheel wells. I am taking my car today to get the tires remounted and praying there is no damage. If you are looking to get tires soon by all means look somewhere else! I wish I would've never bought tires here. I've been contemplating paying someone to do what I am STILL paying for just for the sake of my car. Did I mention I am still paying on them!!! read more
