My dad came here to get his engine fixed and he had a horrible experience. It started out with a worker named Michael. After he checked my dad's engine, he listed a few things that needed to be fixed and my dad agreed to it because there has been some problems with his car. After he left, he came back the next day to pick up his car and Michael surprised him by telling him he replaced some parts without his approval. My dad was pissed because they didn't even notify him with a call and they decided to do whatever they wanted just to make more money. This is how you lose customers!!!!!!!! I called to see if they could do a "Brake" job for my 2001 and I come to be told that they can NOT use the parts that I bought from O'Reilly's. Firestone buys their parts from O'Reilly's and all I wanted is help to put the brakes on and to have them adjusted.. well when I spoke to Eric he told me that they buy all the part commercially and that they can NOT use the same parts that I bought. I don't get it ... its from the same store I / they buy from and they can't work on my vehicle.. really? I understand that but these parts were bought 10/03/15, they are still like new... I understand if they can't give me a warranty but to have me pay for all new parts is ridiculous.... I was looking for a place for all my cars to be fixed at and thought about it after I hung up with him.... I won't be taking my vehicles to them even if they are close! Thanks for nothing... This place really is where you want to avoid. If you have an older car be very mindful of the money/repairs you want to put into your car, if it is old and you think you might want to get rid of it don't listen to the salesmen mechanics. I learned my lesson now to sold my old clunker before putting even more money in it. Lesson learned!! Now I got to pay that bill off which I so much regret making in the first place.. I came here to use the coupon for cheap oil changes. I did this 3 times. Each time, they try to sell you something, whether it's an alignment, air filter, coolant change or even rebalancing the tires. They do the oil change just fine but don't believe that you need the other services, they make it up in their head. When they mention the other items, I just laugh (in my head) because I already serviced those items not long before coming in for the oil change. I just had a terrible experience here, trying to get a wheel alignment for my truck. First problem: When I picked it up, I saw that they had only adjusted the toe-in. I asked why they didn't adjust the camber and the caster, and he said they could but I would have to bring it back. Seriously? Second problem: The steering wheel was off center. The mechanic later claimed that this was difficult to adjust because of play in the steering gear box, and he did do a little better on his second try. Fair enough. Third problem: As soon as I got home I grabbed my factory service manual to check if the camber and caster are adjustable (they are). I noticed that, surprisingly, all the specs that they aligned my truck to were incorrect! For example, the toe was supposed to be 0.24 degrees but they had adjusted to 0.06! And it was lucky they didn't touch the camber or caster, because they were actually fine. Their laziness paid off. I brought the truck back in a couple days later and they tried again. The guy at the desk could see I wasn't happy and he offered me a full refund. I felt that this was honorable, I accepted, and I drove home satisfied. I didn't have any hard feelings until the following morning. The big problem: The next morning I went out and popped the hood, to take a closer look at the steering shaft and gear box, which they had claimed was loose. Right away I noticed there was oil EVERYWHERE. I could tell from the splatter that it had come from the radiator area, and after poking around for a while I found that one of the oil-cooler lines had been loosened! A couple things: - These flare nuts do not come loose by themselves. They might develop slow leaks, but this was a massive leak and the nut was completely loose. - I have been working on my truck a lot lately, and am very familiar with it. I am positive that before I brought it in for the alignment, this fitting was not leaking at all. In that time, I had driven only a few miles - to and from the Firestone. I think they sabotaged my truck because they were mad at me for complaining about their work. Or maybe they just wanted me to go back to them and pay them to fix the oil leak. Regardless, I never would have returned anyway, after they proved to be incapable of even doing the wheel alignment. read more

So I did an online search and thought I found a good deal for tires at this store, but I was wrong. Biggest thing is the upsell at the counter. So I schedule an appointment online at 930am and got confirmation the same day. I arrive at 930, but apparently the front desk is really busy so it took 15 minutes to get my information. Problem #1: Devious Tactic to get me to sign up for a Credit Card. I was ask if I wanted a "firestone" card to get a 10% discount on the tires. I opted for this because it sort of off-set the road hazard warranty. I was ask for my information including my SS#. Then I was told that I was approved. Being confused I ask approved for what and was told that I just got a "Firestone Credit" card. Really appreciated being told a "Firestone Card". I plan to cancel as soon as I get it in the mail. Problem #2: Upsell for lifetime alignment on the tires. The counter person would just not stop when I told him no I didn't want it. Their alignment is all ready expensive at $90 dollars, and my car is covered with my dealer package on alignment. Even when I told him that I had free alignments with the dealer he would not stop pushing it. Problem #3: Took forever to get the tires on As I stated I made an appointment for 9:30 am, gave the keys over at 9:45 am and the car was promised at 11 am. Waiting in the break area I saw my 11 am go by. No one came to tell me they were running late or apologized. "Status Updates" was done by me walking around the bays to see how far along they were. I finally got my car back at 12:05 pm. Problem #4: Continued upselling with customers. During my 3 hour wait, I got to listen to the same sales pitch for every customer and hear how the counter person kept pushing services that people don't really need or can get for cheaper at Jiffy Lube. Problem #5: Blatant lies about my car and what is needed. So when I get my car the counter person tells me my break pads are very thin and I should have them install it while the tires are off and they would give me a discount. 1)I walked and saw all my tires installed so I don't know what he meant "while my tires are off". They would need to remove them to do the break.s 2) ***IMPORTANT*** I just got my car serviced at the dealership the day before and know what the break and rotar condition is. In fact it in great condition (low mileage) and I have the paper work to prove it. They schmucks told me I had 2mm on my tire when my dealership has shown I had 5mm the past two times I brought the car in. So either thes "tire guys" don't know what they are talking about or just lying. So after a firm NO on the brakes, they told me I should have my fluids flushed and injection system cleaned. Please see #2 IMPORTANT above. It was all ready done the previous day. Problem #6: Disrespecting Me After the firm "No" on the brake the counter guy had the gall to tell me, Oh you do you break yourself than? They should be done. I was very insulted by this and explained to him that the car was just serviced by my Mechanic of five years and I trust his judgement over their B.S. Problem #7:No care talking in the car. All the service tech did was put a plastic wrap on the steering wheel, but no paper mat. So know I have oil stains in my floor mat from their tech. So I recommend stay away from this place at all cost. Update 01/07/13 So I received an email last week from Firestone stating they have forwarded this review to the manager at this store. Today I received a letter from the store manager and here is a summary 1)Appreciate my business 2)Hoped that I had a pleasant experience 3)My brakes really need to be done and they can do them. Obviously my review was not forwarded to him or he just ignored it. I also went back to the dealership and they re-measured the "problem brake" with me present and sure enough they have the correct measurement.. Update: 02/03/13 Since I made this complaint I was contacted by the Firestone District manager and an investigation was conducting and the issues I raised were corrected. Based on this, I decided to head back to this location for road hazard repair. Indeed there was a definite change in the customer service and the expediency in getting my tires corrected. This is the first time I've ever written a review because of the horrible experience I had today at Firestone Milpitas. I went into Firestone Milpitas for a brake inspection today. To my surprise, Mike (store manager and owner) came up with a list of recommended repair items, total up to $1,200. Recommended items included: (1) Coolant reflux and refill - which I had it done somewhere else about 3 months ago. When I wanted to confirm with Mike on this and literally told him I wanted to know who is lying, he became speechless. (2) Realignment (3) Brake fluid reflux (4) Replacement of front rotors (5) Replacement of front brake pads (6) Re-service of the rear brake rotors (7) Oil change Mike spent a lot of time persuading me to spend the $1,200. Later, I asked him to cut down the list and focus on items that will cause safety issues. He then cut down to $600. I didn't really trust his opinions anymore because of his comments on coolants. If I have to spend $600, I want my every penny counts. I ended up getting only an oil change and quickly ran away from the store. After I declined to the rest of the recommended services, Mike became very mean and tried to avoid me. When he had to talk to me, he didn't look at me at all and threw sarcastic comments trying to scare me more. I went to another chain store to get a second opinion. It turned out my car is fine and has no urgent safety issues. Conclusion: Firestone Milpitas wasted me about 4 hours today and made my moods go up and down like a rollercoaster. I have been a life-long Les Schwab customer but there aren't any conveniently located Les Schwabs since I moved to the Bay Area so I have been utilizing this Firestone since for their lifetime alignment that was suggested by my roommate. The work I have had done on my car hasn't been problematic, so this does not really go towards the actual individuals who work on my car (thank you for the help!) My main complaint is the deceptiveness brought on by the two brothers who run this establishment. One of the guys is a really good salesman -- but doesn't give you the full idea of what work they will actually do. He was telling me about getting all this work done a few months back and I was okay with getting their credit card to benefit from no interest payments for 6 months plus a discount on my service. I was totally down with getting lifetime brakes added to my vehicle. It was never explained to me that by getting lifetime brakes, they would only be servicing my front brakes and that a few months down the line when my back brakes were acting up, that they'd want to charge me an additional 480$ to add lifetime brakes to the back of my vehicle. When I confronted them about it today, he told me that it was on the receipt. I don't care what the receipt says -- when offering a service, you need to tell the individual that you would only be getting your front brakes serviced instead of making people read the receipt after the work is done. I thought, ya know, "lifetime brakes" would have included the whole vehicle, because when you do an alignment on the vehicle, you don't just align the front tires and not the back tires... it should be one charge. I asked him if the lifetime brakes was front/back or just front and have to buy back separately. He wanted to look it up in his computer - I said "Generally" so he wouldn't look at my account to see what work was done, but would tell me how the service functioned; he ignores me and looks at my account anyway and it is "it looks like it was only the back...." --- Deception at its finest. Additionally, after having left my car there overnight to get all this extra work done, I asked if they would place the key on the tire or somewhere and I'll get my vehicle after they close (and they can run the credit card for the charges). They said that would be fine. I felt uneasy about the call so I asked at the end "so you'll take care of all of the requests?" (1. key in car, 2. run firestone credit card). Guy said yes. Show up to my car and try to determine where my keys are... Looked in visor, glove box, door, side of chair, arm rest.... couldn't find the keys. Not being able to pick up my car that night was very stressful. I walk into the office this morning and when I asked him about where my key was, he said "We don't leave keys in the car." THIS IS CONTRARY to what was said the night before. He calls his brother and his brother confirms that he mentioned to me that he'd put it under the floor mat. Lies. Obviously if I had known that my key was under my driver side floor mat, I would have taken my car the night before and not come in with rage this morning. So what is it -- you don't leave keys in the car (guy this morning) or you do leave keys in the car (guy last night)????? Now I have lifetime brakes, lifetime alignment, and lifetime balance (for the remainder of the tires) and an oil change that is clearly overpriced (would rather just go to Jiffy Lube from now on). I know I'll pay labor charges in the future for the work done, so that won't be any kind of surprise when I need to go back in, but going forward, going to see about going to another Firestone Auto Care for the rest of my services. I called the Firestone/Bridgestone customer service to clarify what work was done on my vehicle -- they are a little deceptive with their wording as well. I asked if lifetime brakes was front and back and she confirmed, then later on tells me that the "and" separates front from back and that's why they are two different charges. lol. okay... Again, my rant has nothing to do with the work done on my vehicle; my car is driving like a champ. If you feel like dropping your car off to the world's happiest customer service secretary under the guise of deception, be my guest. The work will be done but ensure what specifically they're going to work on and the pricing agreement beforehand to ensure you don't enrage yourself over. Miscommunications seem high at this location, especially with all of the other reviews. I did review Yelp prior to going to this location but gave them the benefit of the doubt. read more

Then the phone rang again and he was again on the phone for a while. The issue in this scenario is that he should have assisted me first because I am a definate profit, whereas the phone service is a risk. I decided to leave and took my businesses elsewhere. Man what can say this place does not disappoint. If you need something done fast not the place to go but you leave your vehicle and make sure the job done right than this is the place to go. Yes they might recommend stuff but be your own advocate and research before making a decision. I go when there a coupon days for sure I have been going to this place for about 10 years now. Thumbs up for the hard workers at this shop who can still smile and laugh when it is crunch time when 6 people are line and all bays are full cannot say enough cause sometimes I feel like they accomplish the impossible when how busy they get at this location. I've read other peoples reviews on this particular firestone location, your comments are duly noted. Although, I did just go in for an oil change. I did encounter the typical up-sell, but again it is typical. If you shop at any basic retail store, you would know the up-sell is very common. All you have to say is "no thank you", with that said. The overall service and performance for an oil change mind you, was great and done in a timely manner. Also keep in mind and try to be understanding that its a job, and if you have a job you would know that sometimes you just have a bad day. I know from experience that sometimes you can't please everyone. My laptop keep deleting what i typed I brought 4 tires with protection package. The original sale clerk offer part of the deal. I took the offer, he stated that whenever if the tire is flat or have any accident. Just bring it in, Firestone would take care of it. I drove the tires for 6 plus month, and When I found my tire hit nail, I brought my car in the next day to Firestone. walk-in early 9ish or so. I went home after wait for their call. close to noon time, I receive a call from Mike-not so friend employee. So instead of fixing the issue under the protection program. I think to myself, I came in to have my tire fix NOT replace. He stated tired is all worn out. am like What???? it was over 6 months since i purchase my tires. as of now, i am fluster about the whole situation. I asked Mike, since you can't help me. Please offer me Firestone Customer service. He was very hesitated to even give me their CS #. I had to go online for it. This is where i meant. Not so friendly customer service. I had a better a experience with Corporate employee than the retails level. Corp. offer 25% tires to replace the damage one or all four, but u know what I do not do business with people who is out to make a quick buck. Seriously, I took my business else where-due to my Up sale, pushy tactics, lack of empathy for his customer, NOT genuine intend. The list can go on, but I will stop. Well I have to say not bad specially after reading all the reviews, I called early in the am talk to Goerge gave him the tires size he said yes there in stock come on down got there they were all very nice went next door grabbed some BK went back watch some tv very pleasant experience. The price was not bad I got 4 new tires an alignment for 1,090.00 so it wasn't a bad deal. Previously before calling I was quoted 1200 - 1300 with out alignment so not bad thanks George for your kind service. I will come again read more

I had a screw in my tire so I came here since the Arco was closed on a Sunday afternoon. They took me in and paperwork took 5 mins. 1 hour later my tire was fixed and it cost me 40 bucks that's it. Great service and great place. read more

I came here today after Walmart failed me and the Toyota dealership was packed. Right when I got out of my car, I was greeted, when I got inside to get paperwork done, I was greeted. Basically, all the employees that were working at the time, greeted me once or more. The employees here have exquisite customer service, especially George! Made good conversation and had no problem whatsoever. The wait was almost 2 hours, but what do you expect right? To come to a place that has a few people ahead of you, you're bound to wait a little while. And I had to problem with that since there's a target across the street. I came back, and was very satisfied with the results. Overall, I recommend this place over any other place because they get the same work done, if not better, and they have the best service compared to any other place. read more

Not what I was expecting! With all the reviews on yelp in regards to how poor the customer service is, I was skeptical to bring my car in for service. So of course I called to get a feel of how the service is and the pricing. Steve was extremely helpful and friendly over the phone. What I was quoted for was reasonable and is actually cheaper than other places. Decided to bring my car in for two front tire replacement and alignment. I came in asking for a price estimate, not telling them I was the person on the phone earlier. The estimate I got was exactly what was given to me over the phone. I got my car back within the time frame that was promised. Mike was the person handling the closing portion of the service. He told me what the manufacturing recommendation was and what the technician notice during inspection. Mike walks me through what was needed and what he recommend and that was that. He didn't over sell anything or push it on me to get anything done immediate. Which is extremely surprising with all these reviews on Yelp! I took off 1 star due to the extremely long wait time, 4hr+. Other than that I was extremely happy with service, I'll be back for the rear two tires! read more

I ordered 2 tires and made an appointment to replace my front tires 3 days in advance. I set explicitly that I would not leave the car and would wait while replacement would be done. I received a confirmation next day. What was a surprise, when I arrived and it is turned out that they are no my tires. I spent in service half an hour before they let me know this. Why they did not give me a call?... Half of an hour is enough to replace 2 tires, but I water the time. It is very disappointed and disrespectful. read more

This Milpitas Firestone location has created Gold Star of most Horrible Service. The best part about Firestone Corporate is that they have ignored all the numerous feedback / complaints made directly with them. The Regional Manager assured me of fixing the complaint personally and yet nothing has been done. It is surprising to see the location has maintained to stay in business. They have ripped me in the past by selling cheap tires in name of beating prices of Costco, they have taking advantage of less mechanical knowledge of people and society. While I was waiting the customer in front was furious for over charging for work which wasn't authorized by him. The list goes on and on but seems they will never improve to do the customer a better service. I live near this Firestone so I went here 3 years ago to get myself a set of 4 tires during one of their deals. At that time, I received pretty good service, however this time around was probably one of the worst services I have received. I contacted them wanting to replace ONLY 2 of my tires and how much it would cost. I was interested in this tire I saw on their website which was $70. The gentleman on the phone quoted, "$600" for 2 tires.... I asked him why it was so much when online it stated $70. His answer was "whenever you buy tires at Firestone it is mandatory to include the best package"... MANDATORY!!???? So I have to buy "the best package" if I choose to bring all 4 of my cars there?? What would be the total price?? $7000?? For all 4? I highly suggest Corporate or higher management start reading these reviews. Everything presented in their website versus their actual service is as different as the United States is to Mongolia. read more

Wow! There are a whole lot of really negative reviews! Me personally, I've never had an issue with them. If you're taking your car in for an oil change on the weekend, you can't expect it to be done in an hour. Period. The weekends are the busiest times for any auto shop (I would know, my Dad and my brother are mechanics.) They have always been courteous and respectful to me when I've brought my car in. Admittedly, I have only ever had an oil change done here, but they've always returned my car in great condition, and mark clearly on the receipt what exactly they did, and any recommendations they have for my car. And for the price, I haven't found better. Then only thing I do sort of agree with, they really do push the upsale to you. But, honestly, they are a business, and that's what businesses do. They need to make money to keep in business the same as every other company. And people need to understand, just because they push an upsell, you don't have to agree to everything offered. Quite frankly, the only car service center I've had bad service from was the old Tune and Lube I used to go to on Almaden near Blossom Hill. They put the wrong oil in my car, AND had the audacity to argue with me when I pointed it out. I had to bring my oil cap to them, where it clearly stated the correct oil, and point out on their printed receipt where they had put down the incorrect oil. THAT, is bad service. read more
