I went to Firestone with a promo for oil change. I was asked if I wanted to go with standard oil or synthetic oil because the promo was for standard oil. My dumbass doesn't really know the difference except for the price difference, so I said just go with what's on the promo. When I came to pick up my car, Tony told me they eventually went with the more expensive synthetic oil because my car doesn't take standard oil. Instead of billing me $90 for the oil change, Tony said he'd keep the promo standard oil pricing. Lesson learned...synthetic oil next time. I also paid for lifetime tire rotation - which I do not regret at all. Just recently I got a flat tire from a screw while coming back home from a weekend trip.The very next day Sanam took in my car and put a whole new tire on it - going as far to send one of his workers to another location that had the exact tire I needed. I had a very slow leak in the left rear tire of my Camry. It lit the TPM lite on my dash, but the pressure went up due to a short road trip. Since it has Firestone tires on it and I was in the area, I stopped in to get it fixed. They found one of those big staples, with one leg, that went into the tire. It was barely visible. It was close to a previous puncture, that already had a patch. They put a 2nd patch on it. They were hoping it would hold. It has now for a few weeks after. The name on the work order was JACOB. To start off, the woman who worked the front desk was not able to answer my question and when I was told to speak to the manager he started to walk away from me MID CONVERSATION as a way to stop me from talking. Needed an oil change so I scheduled an appointment online. I was accidentally late so I could not do my original appointment due to them being short staffed so I rescheduled it there for that following Friday of that week. It was fine for me since it was not really that urgent. I come in on that Friday and I was able to leave my car but the sir at the counter let me know that it could take up to 4 hours or until Saturday morning due to them being short staffed. I was getting an oil change, tire rotation, and tire alignment. It was not news I wanted to hear but I understood since they also had to deal with some of their employees calling out and quitting. The sir was very transparent with me and I understood and left my car with them. Later that evening, the guy called me to say my car was ready for pickup. It was a lot quicker than I expected! Upon picking up my car, the guy saw me and said "Told ya it would be ready by 6pm" LOL. I scheduled a 1PM appointment for regular auto inspection and I was told there are 3 cars ahead of me and the inspection will happen only at 3.30 PM at the latest. I am not sure why they make us schedule appointments if they cannot honor it. Anyway I left the car with them and came back at 4.30 PM before the shop closes and car was not touched till then. I ended up cancelling the work order since I don't think trusting these folks anymore was worth it. There customer service is awful! I made an appointment 3 days ago to have my oil changed at 8:30 am this morning. When I took it in at 8:30, am they said they would be finished by noon. When I called at 1 pm to check on it, they had not even started to work on it yet because there was "no rack available", they were still fixing vehicles that had been brought in the day before. Had they told me they were too busy to fix my car this morning, I would have been able to change my plans or take my car elsewhere; now I have to cancel afternoon appointments at the last minute. Apparently this Firestone location thinks nothing about honoring their appointments, providing false information about when your car will be ready, or wasting a customer's day. I will never go back. UPDATE: So the desk guy who irresponsibly told me that my car would be ready at noon called me at 3 pm to say my car was ready. His name was Raul and he was unapologetic. I had also paid for a safety check; but instead I was handed a 5-page, $5k estimate for repairs that did not say if anything was unsafe. $5K seemed excessive since my reliable old Toyota Corolla is only worth $3-4k. I asked for a safety report and Raul said the estimate was the safety report. Then after I argued and insisted he must tell me what was unsafe, it turned out nothing was actually unsafe, and only about $1800 of the bill was for things that actually needed to be repaired sometime soon (some old engine gaskets and a suspension control arm that might break soon). The rest of the $5K estimate was just a veiled sales pitch. Do yourself a favor and take your car somewhere else. read more

I bought the tires less then a year ago and i got a blowout twice in a year. I told him to use the warranty I paid for to replace the tires. And he keep telling me that in order to use my warranty I had to buy new warranty. It don't make no sense. So what's the use of paying extra for the warranty. Apparently when you book an appt, on line it allows the people to book the same appointment time according to the person working the front counter. A bit conflicted whether this shop deserves below average stars or not. on one hand, I did get what I needed with little hassle. But after seeing all the reviews from the past 1-2 years, I can see how there might be some caveats, and perhaps I was just lucky that nothing went wrong with my visit? I first came here 4 years ago when I had an emergency with a tire that had a really large tear and this was the closets shop open, and I got there at around 5pm and they were able to help and replace all my tires the same day. This is why I decided to try this place again this weekend. But I will parrot the other reviews in that these days it looks like they get way too many customers and are understaffed. I came at around 8:30am on a Saturday and there was a lot of car tetris going on in their small parking lot. I I was lucky that there was no one in line at the front desk when I entered the lobby, because 5 minutes later a line of 5 ppl came after me. I just needed new tires and alignment. If you know what you want, you'll be fine. They don't try to upsell you or anything, they just give you the choices and you pick. They gave me ETC of 2PM. I didn't get any call by then, and so I came back around 3PM to see my car being driven out of the parking lot. Okay, fair enough, only an hour late and they're taking it for a test drive. So I sat in the lobby to wait and after about 5 minutes one of the men behind the counter asked which car I was waiting for and the receptionist said "yeah, that one should be done by now". But again I saw it drive off so I thought it was being test driven. so I waited about another 25 minutes and while the receptionist stepped out for a bit their phone was ringing and the other man behind the counter did not answer no matter how many rings. Not a good look in front of customers to show "not my job" mentality or at least attempt to get the person who's supposed to do the job. Then the man spoke up to me and said "Isn't that your car over there?" and I looked across the street and my car was across the street in the shopping center parking lot. And then I noticed my keys and work order on their hanger behind the counter labeled "completed". So I guess the guy earlier driving my car was not test driving it, just parking it across and I was waiting this 25 minutes for nothing maybe? So anyway, I finished up with them and got back to my car, and this is where I'm conflicted about how they did the work fine so it's 3 stars but maybe I'm way too generous and they deserve only 1/2 stars because... THE DRIVER SEAT SMELLED LIKE FRESH MUD AND DOG DOO I kid you not. There was a bit of rain in the morning but not a lot which might have been the issue, But it shouldn't even be possible to leave a smell that bad, and I've never smelled anything so bad from anyone who's ever handled my cars. Bad enough to give me a gag reflex and linger on my clothes too, enough to make me take off my clothes and do laundry right away. And I'll have to deep clean my car because of this. So all in all, after considering my experience and the other reviews, I'd say the only thing this place has going is that it opens earlier than other places and 7 days a week, so good for those that can't find time during later hours of the day and can prepare to have the car dropped off the entire day. AND MAYBE COVER YOUR INTERIOR HEAD TO TOE WITH PLASTIC OR SOMETHING TO PREVENT MUD AND S*** SMELLS AFTER! But if you can find time to go to any other shop within their working hours, then honestly there is no reason to come to this location over others. read more

This place is perpetually under-staffed. I have lifetime alignment package on my Jeep with this shop. And last time I took the car there for wheel alignment. It was such bad experience. I had an appointment!! The appointment was in the morning at 10am, when I arrived, the manager said i have to drop off the car and leave it for the whole day. WHAT's the point of an appointment if it'll just take 6 hours to finish a half hour task??? I had no other ride choice so I sat and waited 6 hours. For how long it took to do an alignment you'd think the results would be good. But ho ho ho, nooo... The steering was pointing at 11:00 when I went in. Then after Firestone got done it was nearly pointing at 10 just to go straight. Why call the pacakage lifeltime aignment when that's just not true? I ran over a pothole about 2 miles down Montague and heard my left rear tire pop and looked up the nearest tire shop and just kept going on my flat tire to this Firestone. It was completely shredded and "smoking" when I got there and he was so sweet and polite while helping me get in and out. Then the very next morning at the same time as the day before, right before I drop my son off I noticed my tire pressure message saying it's at 17 psi and then I get out and it's flat on the other side, my rear driver tire. So I drive down the street right back to Firestone and they found the screw that went in my tire, what crappy luck! This time I wasn't able to drop my daughter off yet so I had to order an Uber but he gets my keys from me and I get her dropped off and by the time I'm back he's done! I've gone to this location to purchase tires for 3 of my vehicles in the span of about 5 years. The level of service has declined horribly in the Last year! The last set of tires I bought with Installation, I was told it would be done by noon as I was there by 8am. I walk home and wait all day, no call for any updates and come 5pm I take the initiative to call multiple times and no answer. Finally the representative that answered told me they would have to keep my car over night because it was not done. I expressed my frustration because they did not Inform me and I had to figure out a way to get to work the next morning. I leave my vehicle and again the next day no status update. I decide to show up at 5pm and told the manager I need my car done. The manager was apologetic and informed me that he just started and will use this experience as a learning lesson. He says " theres 6 cars in front of you that dropped off so it'll be all day. I said thats not going to work as I do not have a ride home. Gentleman says he only has one tech(they are short staffed).
