I had a tire that was constantly losing pressure, so I called Big O Tires in Milpitas and asked when I can come in, the person on the call said any time. I drove in the next day without an appointment, and Crystal at the store was really helpful. She helped me check in and said it's $40 to repair. But the tech showed me the tire and it had a huge nail on the inside which was why it couldn't keep air in. They were able to replace the tire the same day and I was out of the shop within an hour, max. I checked prices online before I headed to the shop so I knew the range to expect. Big O tires offered me the same brand and type of tire I had on the car already. It felt like fair price for tires with urgent and immediate service. First and most if I could rate them a zero so be it. 5/19/26 I am extremely disappointed with the horrible service I received at Big O Tires located at 100 S Main St, Milpitas, CA. I arrived at 9:28 AM for what should have been a simple tire repair, yet my vehicle was not even serviced until around 11:30 AM. Waiting over TWO HOURS for a basic tire fix is completely unacceptable. What made the experience even worse was the terrible communication from the staff. Nobody gave clear updates, and the front desk personnel clearly saw me sitting in the main lobby for over an hour, yet later claimed they "never saw me" or didn't realize I was waiting for service. That level of disorganization and dishonesty is unbelievable. I was left sitting there wondering if my vehicle had been completely forgotten. The employees acted like my time meant absolutely nothing. If your shop cannot handle the workload, then stop overbooking customers or at least have the courtesy to communicate honestly. Customers should not have to chase employees around just to get a status update. This was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional service experiences I've had at a tire shop. I will not be returning, and I definitely would not recommend this location to anyone expecting decent customer service or basic respect for their time. I just have to rate them based on their pricing. I had my oil changed last January and was charged only $105+. When I went there today, I was surprised they charged me $167. They said they increased their prices just a few days ago. What's confusing is that when I called other Big O Tires shops, they said they were not aware of any price increase and their rates for my car are still the same. No wonder before you had to wait in a long line just to get an oil change. This time, there were not many customers when I went.I have been there having long time for oil change. Got there at 950 and was told they took other people who came in early or walk in and had to wait 20 min or so and could not give me time because they got busy. The first time I came the lady that works there is amazing. She is the reason I came back this second time. Will I come back a third? Unlikely. It's 11am and my car is still in the parking lot. Oh, and the person this time tried to tell me a story about a Dr appt he had to wait 2hrs for and life and blah blah blah. I have an older car and had gotten a used set of wheels after I had a flat, I had also noticed the steering was getting loose. I wanted to make sure that the alignment was good before I slapped the new tires and rims on. They told me that all my front suspension was shot and needed to be replaced and would not do an alignment. Said that the ball joints were bad, but I doubt they even looked because those were replaced less than 6 months ago. So, my dad is a mechanic and I only went here because I'm not from the area and needed it done quickly. I got under the car at my dad's shop and found pretty quickly that the steering rack bolt that holds it to the frame was completely loose.... Not at all a hard thing to find. .. sure it needs to be replaced and the bushings are shot, but tightening the bolt was easy enough to do. Also not one of the things listed as needed to be replaced lol. Basically the underside of my car was too oily and greasy so they didn't want to do the work. They saw the old beater car and ignored basic checks. suggested replacing parts that are fine. So they still charged me 200 to bolt the wheels on my car. They didn't even tell me if they checked the balance on the tires. The "free inspection" they did was completely false. Listing every part as needing replacement is hilarious. It's an old car. You could say that about every inch of it if you wanted. Either way, gross oversight and sloppy work. read more

She went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, and her dedication really stood out. I also want to give special recognition to George, who always takes extra care to ensure my alignment is dialed in to precise factory specs. Complete incompetence and carelessness is the only way to describe this shop. I had bought 4 new tires a few months back and scheduled an appointment to have them rotated. Let's go down the list of their mistakes. 1) when I went to leave I had to go back and ask for my wheel lock key... technician had left it on the toolbox in the shop 2) they tried to call and sell me coolant exchange and spark plugs... these services were not due per the owners manual 3) did not set the tire pressure upon rotation and I had a low pressure indication on the way to work. My car has ABS based TPMS so I had to reset the system, then fill the tires to factory settings when reset again. 4) engine was making a funny noise like the car had an aftermarket intake. I pulled over and popped the hood. They had checked the engine air filter (probably to try and upsell me) but didn't latch the air box after resulting in loud intake sounds like the car had an aftermarket intake. I latched it myself and went on my way. Images attached of air box left open... This is the worst experience I had ever had with a shop in my 23 years of driving and taking care of cars. Mark, my service advisor, was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. He did a quick but thorough inspection of the tire and clearly explained what the technician would do, how much it would cost, and how long it would take. Everything was open, honest, and easy to understand which is exactly what someone needs when they're already feeling a bit stressed. Big shoutout to Norman as well for doing the actual flat repair - great work, and much appreciated! Overall, I'm very impressed with the level of service and professionalism at the shop. Called in to see if they take walk in's Forgot who i spoke to but he mentioned they did. Asked if they offered flat tire repair and he mentioned it was $40 dollars. I got there within 30 mins of me calling and was helped by Crystal. My wait for my vehicle was about 45~mins repair mind you there were 4 people ahead of me. They also do a courtesy inspection and offer services if they find anything that needs attention. Of course it is optional you can opt out if you want. read more

I arrived here at 11:30 and was quoted 1 hour and 15 minutes. All I wanted was to change two tires and I was told that once they change my tires it messes with the alignment so that needed to be done as well(+$100). My car sat there for an entire hour and 10 minutes before anyone even moved it. After waiting an hour and 40 minutes they tell me the alignment has been done but they don't have the tires I asked for. They told me I can switch them out for other tires and that the alignment has already been done... completely contradictory to what lies they sold me prior to that in order to get me to purchase alignment. They swapped them out for other tires, 2 and 1/2 hours later I get to get back to my Sunday after what appears to be an overpriced tire change and a scammed generic add on service for alignment. I feel robbed, lied to and as if my time is clearly not valued. I will never come back here again. I do not recommend. read more

I booked an appointment at Big O Tires to replace all 4 tires on my Tesla Model Y. I had done my research and picked Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4 - the exact size that fits my car. The initial quote seemed decent, so I went ahead. I even visited multiple times due to delays in ordering. But when I finally returned, I was surprised to hear that the originally quoted tires were "discontinued," and I was pushed toward a different version called "Pilot Sport AS 4+" at a much higher price. That sounded suspicious - I'd never even heard of an AS 4+. So I checked with another tire shop. Turns out, the original AS 4 tires were still very much available, and they gave me a much better deal with zero confusion. Why try to upsell like this? In today's digital world, a simple Google search can tell anyone if a product is really discontinued or not. If this is how you treat every customer, you're going to lose them. Tire rotations are free after you purchase tires from them. They also will tell you if you need new tires or not.. I usually go to them for wheel alignment, as they have good deals. But once I got my battery replaced by them, first they didn't connect it properly that caused my electronic component to not function properly, and later that battery died within 2 years. Also I had a hard time claiming for a tire warranty as a lot of documentation is required. read more

I have had 3 cars with tire repair in the last 3 months with Big O. The first was for swapping out a damaged wheel on my Lamborghini Diablo. I had a high end Exotic car show in Napa to attend that weekend and on Friday, I had hit a flaming battery from an accident on 680 that took out my wheel. I was fortunate to have a spare set of wheels in the event something like this happened. Jake & Greg did a great job getting the replacement wheel installed with my tire. This was not an easy job as the replacement wheel had an older chrome finish that took quite a bit of work to seal properly. This week, Monday the 23rd, I had damaged a new tire on my C8 Corvette from a pothole on 680. They were very quick to go out of their way to have a replacement tire ready in a few hours. Given that I needed to match the original tire, finding an exact match before Christmas was a tall order but they came through again. read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I used to come here often when it was pacific tire but ever since it turned into Big O tires, customer service went down the gutter. I was helped by the store manager himself, Emmanuel (I believe that's his name). He was working in the front. Didn't acknowledge me when I walked in, I had to ask if I get in line in front of him or another desk to be helped. Asked him a few questions about a simple tire patch and his responses were rude and unwelcoming. Why be in customer service if you act like you don't want to help people? Crazy. Someone I was with walked in and he was rude to her as well. I would definitely not recommend this place at all. Area manager was also there but didn't want to hear what I had to say. So sad this place is going downhill. Guys in the back have better customer service than the guys at the front desk. Haha. They probably should switch roles. 0/5 is my take on this whole experience. Edit: after 2 hours, I found that my tire was still flat and leaking air. Took it to Americas tire and they said the patch was done incorrectly and we will have to buy a whole new tire because we can not patch over a patch that was done incorrectly. Almost had to tow my car. Stay away from this place. Not sure how it's still open for business. No wonder why this place is not busy any longer. read more

Friday: Arrived a little before 5pm. Guy behind the counter was surprised I could make an appointment at 5pm. Then claimed to have called and left a message. Then explained they didn't have the Hankook tires, but they had some off-brand tires. I asked about brand-name, and he gave me one option for 50+% more expensive but kept steering me towards the off-brand. No apologies, no offer to throw in something or give me a discount. I walked away and now have an appointment for Goodyear tires from Walmart for less $. Never doing business with this bait-and-switch shop. read more

Just like the last time, it was a pretty straight forward process; shopped tires online, booked a appointment, received a call from services rep confirming appointment and tires purchased. On the day of appointment - I dropped of car, was told how long it would take, came back in that time frame, and it was done! Painless process.
