Firestone in Lisle, IL, off Ogden is just... meh. Honestly, if it weren't for the convenience, I probably wouldn't bother coming to this location. The curb appeal is lacking--nothing that draws you in or makes you feel great about pulling up for service. I read other reviews and still decided to give them a shot because I needed a tire patch due to a nail. So far, it seems fine, but I'd say proceed with caution when it comes to your auto needs here. I won't outright say "don't go," but consider yourself warned. It might be okay... but there's a long "but" in there. Just something to keep in mind. read more

not great customer service kept using personal stories to segue into poor car maintenance. pushed repairs that did not have to be made and or could not be paid for. when trying to use manual card numbers as payment request was declined. no payment over the phone they said. we asked for the supervisor and suddenly we were able to pay, he was able to help. do not recommend for first time customers or small services. read more

This location is not providing good service or value to its customers. I recently brought my car for a simple wheel alignment. I scheduled the service over the phone and dropped my car. After 2 days I called to check on my vehicle, and they let me know it was ready. To my surprise, after the alignment was done, I realized that the problem was worse and that my steering wheel was visibly off-center now. I called them back to tell them, and the attendant shared with me that they don't really have qualified technicians to perform these simple tasks. He added that their most qualified person doesn't show up for work every day. It is clear that this business is in dire need of new management and/or ownership. Don't bring your car to this location. It is a waste of time and money. There are better and more efficient locations for Firestone and other brands in the area. read more

Other than being close to home I can't see any thing positive at this location. I've been using Firestone for several years for tires, batteries and oil changes. When I moved to Lusle I was delighted to find a Firestone much closer to me. I'll not be returning to this location. After making an appointment for an oil change I got there and was greeted with a frown. The person working with me had a perpetual frown the whole time, acted like I hadn't made an appointment, without saying that and I still was told an hour and 1/2 wait which became 2 hours and charged me $99! I see Jiffy Lube in my future. I don't want to wait that long for an oil change especially when I had an appointment and be overcharged! And Grumpy McFrown greeting me... don't know how they get such great reviews. Should not take that long but I suspect they are scrounging for added opportunities to find more things wrong with your car... no thanks! read more

Great staff!! I don't think anybody looks forward to having their car worked on but this Firestone is a great shop. I needed a car repair during a holiday weekend. I called several different places but ended up at Firestone in Lisle. They were professional and informative over the phone. They explained what they could do and gave me the prices before they started the work. I dropped my car off and the guys at Firestone were able to provide a ride home. The guys were able to complete the repairs by the time they had promised. Also, I was able to use an online coupon for the final price. Overall-- professional and knowledgable staff. I thought they were being honest during the entire process. I will be sure to return to Firestone for future repairs. read more

I walked in... no one there.. waiting almost 5 min.. not even thanked for my wait. Started the conversation with, why would you come her so late, we close right at 5. Mmm... I reply ... I work until 330 and it's 4. I was told to come in when I called earlier so someone could tell me if my tire could be fixed or if I needed a new one. I was told again not today we close at 5 and my guys are. busy. Annoyed... I asked too busy to look at a time. I was then told if you need it patched I can't do that's a waste of my time. Finally, someone looked at the tire and told me I need a new tire. I'm very happy to spend my money somewhere else and let these horrible people who provide less than adequate CS get their weekend started. read more

This place takes FOREVER. I had a 4pm appt to get my tires swapped, called at 515 and was told it'd be ready by 7. It's 705 and my cars on the lift with no tires on. Avoid this place if you have an actual schedule in your life that you like to adhere to. read more

Called first thing 7am when they opened their doors. Asked for an appointment and was instructed that they don't have anyone that is able to complete a brake job till 11am I said that's great I will schedule it for 11am. No problem there is probably people ahead not a big deal. Brought my vehicle in 15 minutes before scheduled appointment and was instructed it will take an hour per axel for front and rear brakes. Now understand my truck is a fleet vehicle which needs approval let's say 2 hours. For some reason I was instructed that it automatically adds an oil change even thought you don't need one, load of shit. I did not leave the parking lot till 6:08pm. Youre telling me brake rotors and "oil change" that I didn't need takes you just over 7 hours!!!!! You're out of your mind. Honestly go to a zoo and have a trained monkey do the work instead, absolute joke. read more

This place is AMAZING. I have been here multiple times and they've always explained things very well to me and always try to get me a discount if they can offer it. I've gotten multiple oil changes here for cheap and they've also done my breaks, and fixed some issues with my engine. Employees at the registers are so kind, talkative and friendly. I live 30 minutes away and still make the drive to come here because of their service. On my last visit I had an inspection on my car and it was taking a long time to figure out what was wrong- they told me I needed to leave the car there overnight which was completely understandable (it was a complicated situation to begin with) and after seeing I was waiting over an hour for my ride they offered to drive me 30 minutes away to my home. I did not take it as I had gotten a ride but could not believe the genuine kindness after they had already given me a discount. Whenever I get my car done here I trust that they will get it right the first time. I will recommend to my friends and definitely be a consistent client to them. Thank you, Firestone!! :) read more

Staff picks up the phone to let you know they just got in and do not care to review your information. Blame it on the person prior to them. Chat online is just as bad, ends a chat on you in the middle of a response and can't answer questions due to not being able to pull information. Totally useless. When I used to work, I would never tell someone "I just got in and don't know what's going on". This is for my grandchild as she is too sweet to say something. For a grandmother this is ridiculous. Companies should get their act together and their professionalism too... as no one should ever tell a customer, I just got in I'll have the other person call. Do you not have files to look and review or the technology to support yourself? Told my grand daughter to stick with going to Schaumburg as they clearly push their work off for the next person. read more

This is now my go-to place. I had an issue that two other places tried and failed to fix, they resolved it no problem. Every issue I've had them fix they did a great job on and they resolved the issue. The manager Bill is a knowledgeable and trustworthy guy. He explains the problems clearly and how severe or minor those problems are. He's accommodating to customers whenever possible. Every time I drive off the lot I feel comfortable that my car is now fixed, I paid a fair price, and that things were presented to me clearly and honestly. read more

I f***ing hate this place. They are very close to work and twice I've stopped there to inquire about very minor repairs and its the same scenario. Most recent was asking them to change a tail light bulb. They quoted me $94.00!!!!! Are you freaking kidding me??!!! $3.50 for the bulb and the rest was labor. And they seem like they couldn't care less about the customer and more about overcharging you. Crooks. I ended up going to my dealership and he charged me $30.00. read more

I got there at 9 am. There was no one attending the front desks. I was asking for an inspection on my car and they couldn't take a look till 2 pm. There were only 2 customers waiting. To top it off the army lady that helped me was letting her frustrations out on me. I had to leave. She was talking about how they got appointments coming and it's just me and another tech here,etc. To me, it sounded like her problem, not mine. So I went to Midas down the street. My father brought his very old mercedes in because it was shaking. They ran a diagnostic and changed the oil because he said the oil was very low. (Later found out the oil was changed in December)Charged him $213. Then gave him an estimate of $1200. My father went back to his usual car repair person (who was busy the day the car was shaking) and had everything fixed and car has been running ever since for $400. I went in to talk to the manager and give him a chance to explain this but he stood right by this service. read more

Susan in particular was fantastic -- when my Jeep seemed like it was blowing up, she quickly diagnosed the problem with the transmission, found out it was subject to a recall, and gave me all the information on how to get it fixed. She was very flexible and accommodating, fast, and confidently identified the problem. She was great, helpful, and trustworthy. So I'll give them 2 Start for Joel who was wonderful. Otherwise this trash place shouldn't even get that. I had an issue with my caliper in which they had to replace the caliper and brake pads. The brakes felt spongy upon return indicating air in the brake lines. So I called and they said to bring it by to re-bleed the brakes, which I did on Friday afternoon. Saturday at 5:57 I call and they can't wait for me to come down to grab my keys, instead they throw them in the center console and leave. Well the truck auto locks agent a period of time, so now my only set of keys Is locked in the truck. As they are leaving I basically get a "good luck with that" from the staff as they take off for their weekend. So now I'm sitting here in the parking lot waiting for AAA on a Saturday evening because they wouldn't wait 3 extra minutes so I could throw my kids in the car and come down. If you want to see premium customer service skills look elsewhere, they just want your cash. Never coming back to this place, and you shouldn't waste your time, if you are reading this and considering using their services, please don't. read more

John, the sales person who attended to me was very upfront and nice. I had a price match from another facility but it was a telephonic quote which won't get me the price match at Firestone. John gave me an ongoing discount, even after I was about to forgo the price match since I was already there. He ended up saving me less than $10 but it is the courtesy that counts. read more

Never go here. I asked for quotes for 2 front pads, roters and calipers installed and to plug a leak in one of my tires. 1st thing they told me was the hole was too wide for their ply and I needed a new tire. Then they quoted me at $1,200 for complete front brake pads, roters and calipers. They didn't bother to show me why or how the calipers seized up. I went to Cassidy Tire and everything installed plus no charge for plugging leak was only $677 out the door. Talk about dishonest , bad business. Never go to this store neighbors. read more

The 2 star rating here says "Meh. I've experienced better." That's the closest rating I can give this Firestone. I think generally, this place is okay. If you are at all mechanically inclined you'll probably be doing your oil and flushing your coolant yourself so I can't really review them on that level of service. However I had recently changed my tie rods and had to take my car into an alignment. They did the alignment fine but stated that I need to get my serpentine belts replaced. I had a good experience here last time with a different manager who told me all the problems I had with my car which was confirmed by my mechanic so I trusted them on the belts. I purchased the belts on eBay planning to do them myself later this weekend. Lo and behold when I look in the hood of my car one of my belts is still brand new. Rubber is perfectly matte and not worn and there are no cracks. Certainly I have to replace the AC belt but they wanted to charge me for both belts. Pretty disappointed that they quoted me on both. Thankfully they didn't say I had to do it "right then" because I think they know that I had some knowledge of my vehicle but I would hope that they would be more upfront and honest. They also quoted that I had a front left wheel bearing loose or worn. I had a sneaking suspicion this would be the case but I wanted to check myself. I jacked my car up and tried to feel for any play at all in my wheel and I could not. Unfortunately this does not confirm or deny the wheel bearing so I will need to check that anyways, but I don't think I would go back to this store to do so. All other things being equal, I had a better experience with them last year. I think this place is still fine for alignments, oil changes and maintenance work but just be wary and get your car double checked. read more

Great service, honest, knowledgable staff, they show you the problem with your car so you're not wondering if they're selling you something you don't need. The Manager is top notch...I've been their on a couple occasions where he could have charged me for an issue but hasn't. I will now take both my cars here for anything, from oil changes to major repairs, and recommend this place to anyone who is having car trouble. This location is exceptional! John was amazing! They answered the phone on the first ring. Every staff member was kind and caring and I felt like I was with friends. Very honest about everything very obvious they did everything I asked for above and beyond. They were very understanding of my decisions and very clearly explained anything and everything about my car and the services and recommendations they provided. Listened and cared about all of my comments and concerns. Usually when I get my allignment it seems like they don't try their best, here they definitely did, it was done perfectly and explained why certain parts are not adjustable. When they filled out my inspection sheet they made detailed comments on all of the sections, usually anywhere I go it's all just checked off and it's unclear if it was actually done, while here it was clear as day they did their job phenomenally. They even gave me an amazing quote on a set of tires and informed me that they do installations with tire rack which will potentially earn them business very soon. This location was so fantastic that I think I will only ever go here from now on. John was my service advisor and I feel like he deserves a raise! read more

I would definitely recommend this place. With a snow storm approaching and closing time near we called because my daughter and her young daughter were stranded. We were able to give her a charge but she needed a new battery. We called several places and no would would help even if we could get there before closing. We called and John was willing to stay to get her a new battery. He was so nice. He let his guys go early due to storm but stayed to help my daughter. We have a Firestone 2 minutes from our house but we were so impressed with the service we received we said we would remember him if we ever needed service. Today we did. They identify the problem, explain the problem, and fix the problem at a fair price. I had two defective wheels not under warrenty on a car I was getting rid of soon and they went out of there way to find me a solution that saved me $500. If you have an older car take it here for your next oil change and have them do an inspection. They will tell you exactly what needs done and when so that you never get caught off gaurd. If you decide to wait they have free wi-fi and great pizza place accross the street you can get lunch at. read more
