So, I went from happy, to totally pissed off to happy. I stopped in on Sunday and was told they had 4 tires for my Sorrento, and they could put them on Monday at 1. I also wanted an oil change. I showed up before 1 on Monday and dropped my car off. I was told about 90 minutes and we'd be good to go. I returned at 3pm. Walked in, saw my car on the lift, oil change pan under it and assumed I'd be good to go shortly. Service writer tells me he doesn't have the tires in stock. Mind you it's been 2 hours since my appointment time. I was really not happy and not very pleasant as I voiced my dissatisfaction. Manager walked over and asked what was going on, and I told him in very few words what was going on... shit show. Manager looked at the service writer and asked if they had better tires in stock, and when was told yes, he told they guy to give me the better tires. I asked how long, they told me 45 minutes. I again returned at an hour and my car was just getting finished. I told the service writer it would have been nice to get a phone call letting me know about the delay. The Manager, John, made the right call to make sure I was satisfied. I was a previous Firestone customer. I left feeling satisfied, but not happy about the initial poor customer service. Sick to my stomach... this is how my 2025 Mazda was returned to me after Firestone repaired a nail in my tire. The garage worker tried wiping it down after I brought it to the front desk employee's attention, but my seat needs to be professionally detailed. Praying it comes out... Went to pick it up at 6:30 and was told when I got there that they were waiting on my approval to instal a new lightbulb so that t would pass inspection. Service is kinda slow. Was stuck waiting 2.5 hours to hear why my check engine light came on and was quoted 45 minutes to change an O2 sensor which took quite a bit longer. The people seem good. Keith the manager checked on me personally as I walked in since the staff was a bit unresponsive so management does care. I cant tell if they are understaffed or the training is left wanting. I did leave trusting the people here and would come back if convenient. Update: asked for what my check engine light was for and they billed me $100 for the check without warning me. The staff was uncooperative and I will never pay another dollar to a Firestone again other than use my lifetime alignment. Sleazy people or horrible training. read more

Was told it'd be ready by 3 didn't get it until after 6. They definitely rushed the job on my truck. Didn't even get a diagnosis paperwork for my wheel alignment. When I got my truck back, the middle console had been gone thru and my dash cam was disconnected. I even put the lug nut socket in the cup holder so that wouldn't of been an issue. My tire alert system notified me that one of my tires were at 10 PSI so I took it to the closest tire shop available. The first guy I spoke with was professional as I asked him how much it was to put air in my tires and he promptly responded "nothing at all, just pull it around to the back", with a gesture pointing to the last stall. I was told they rotated my tires, yet my tires were in the exact same spot as when I left them. I know this because the cover for the lug nuts on one is missing, and it was in the exact same spot when I picked it up. Upon asking both Rudy and the lady inside, they both said it was done. When I brought up the missing piece, the lady said "theres multiple tires missing that piece." That is absolutely not true. Long story short, they didnt perform the service they said they did. Terrible customer service. Took three hours on a slow day to change the oil. Will not be back to this location, and I suggest you go somewhere else. read more

It has been some time since the last review and I can say that I was a little weary about using this location to do some repairs on my Taco (Toyota Tacoma) but I live across the street that it was the most convenient to use so I took a chance. I dropped my vehicle off for an A/C check, tire check and brake check on a Thursday afternoon. About an hour later, they called to let me know my tires and brakes are going to be good for another 8-10K miles, so no need to change them now. They did tell me my back brakes were on a little too tight and causing them to get hot so it was only recommended that they be cleaned and adjusted. Seemed reasonable enough and they were not pushy about it. As a part of the A/C check they also check the cabin air filter. Apparently it looked liked it had never been changed. I purchased the vehicle used last year and have not changed it myself so this also seemed likely. The A/C motor was blown, they did what they called a "Fonzie" approach and tapped the motor and it did turn on. They said I could continue to "Fonzie" my A/C fan motor or replace it. I had been experiencing A/C problems all summer, hence the reason I came in for the A/C check to begin with. I didn't feel like they were gouging me on the prices for labor and parts. They seemed reasonable and again were fairly convenient for me. I had them go ahead and schedule me for the repair. The repair cost under $300 for an A/C fan motor replacement, to clean and adjust back brakes, replace cabin air filter, and rotate my tires and I was only without my car for a few hours on the following Monday morning. They do have weekend hours to repair, however, the motor fan could not be delivered until Monday. All in all seems like a fair auto shop to me and I will be using them as needed for repairs. read more

Reason for visit: Oil change, advertised for 19.99. Additional Services: Cabin Filter Removal and Installation with new filter, upon recommendation from Jason, store manager. Strengths: The store manager in training, names Jonathan, whom I first spoke to when I entered the store was pleasant and professional to speak to. Concerns: During the cabin filter replacement process, the mechanic needs to remove the glovebox to access the cabin filter. After the visit, I noticed on the passenger floor, one piece of the right clip holding the glovebox in place. This is suspicious for damage to my glovebox. Whether accidentally or with intention, it does not matter to me. I have submitted a report on this to Firestone on the phone. Overall: The oil change was completed without problem. The time spent on the procedure was about one hour. I am not extremely experienced, so I do not know if that is above or below average. Please make judgement yourself. I am concerned about the cabin filter incident. The damage to my glovebox is not positive. read more

I have been bringing my Chevy Volt here for years now. I have the lifetime alignment plan through Firestone which I think is a fantastic buy. This location has always been helpful and friendly, putting air in my tires when I need it and listening to my needs when it's time to purchase new tires. Keith is the friendly and familiar face for this particular location and does his job well. He always remembers who we are and gets the job done! Brought car in with a leaking tire. Told the employee which tire was leaking. They made the repair for $20. Two days later, the same tire was flat. I had to get the car towed in, only to find that they had "repaired" the wrong tire (How can you fix a tire that has nothing wrong with it??) Manager Keith Gay told me that "9 out of 10 times" the customer tells the wrong tire is low, so I guess they just ignore what the customer says and fix whichever tire they want. These guys know nothing: My car stalled on the road unfortunately I towed it to the Firestone on ElCamino There was a big fat man with mostache, extremly rude, he told me that its flat 99$ for inspection. Anyway I called in next day and they told me the fuel pump needs to be replaced and they would charge 1071$ for that they kept the car for 1 week and everytime I had to call to take the update they never called back to give the status. After 1 week they said they dont know whats wrong and I should take it to the dealership I towed the car again to dealership and the dealership told me that firstone messed up the whole wiring and took some of the fuses due to which the battery blew up. Instead of fixing the car they messed it up, the dealership just removed the gas and put back new gas as the gas which I filled had water in it, but this fixed the car. They told me they couldn't repair my flat because the puncture was too close to the sidewall and that my tread was low (which I knew right away was false). I asked them if they would also check my belts since they were squealing. So then they offered me some $10 winter special care package BS. I said fine since I hadn't had a checkup in awhile. I waited around for a few hours. They did the oil change and diagnostic. They came back to tell me that I had an oil leak. I said where is it coming from? They said well we can't tell but we can charge you $40 to put a dye in to see where it's coming from. More NICKEL AND DIMING. I'm beginning to get pissed. I said no thanks, I'll just take my car now. They rotated the tired without telling me and my car already has worn tires from alignment issues so the car started vibrating from this. I had to take it back to their shop within 5 minutes of driving around so they could rotate the tires back. I remembered they didn't even tell me about my belts which was the main reason I got that bullshit $10 diagnostic. I asked them what was wrong with the belts. They said they didn't see anything wrong with them (bullshit) and I would need to leave my car with them overnight. I could tell the guy was lying to me because they forgot to check the belts and the car was already off the lift. So I have an oil leak I need fixing now... I go to another mechanic a couple weeks later. I tell them what I have wrong. They check it out. They come back and tell me that my oil leak was from the oil drain being STRIPPED! So basically the a-hole at Firestone stripped the oil drain when changing the oil. Then they had the nerve to ask if I wanted to pay $40 for them to find where the oil leak was!!! There's a reason this place doesn't get much business in the odd number of years it's been open in Clear Lake . Avoid these CROOKS at all cost. read more

I've used Firestone in St. Louis for about the past 5 years and have never had a bad experience with them. Since moving to Houston, I found a Firestone close to my apartment and figured I would receive the same level customer service and quality work. Usually I just need the standard oil change, but there have been two occasions which I needed the technician to look at something additional (once was because my tire light was on, so I wanted my tires checked. the second time, my brake light was out, and I wanted them to replace it). Both times, the technician didn't actually pay attention to my requests -- I scheduled my appointments online and wrote the request in, but also advised the front desk representative about it upon my arrival. For the first request... they said it must be a dead battery in my tire sensor.... however, the next time I took it in for an oil change, one of the techs found a nail in my tire. So I was driving around for about 3500 miles on a tire with a nail in it. Great. The second request -- upon arriving to the store to pick up my vehicle, I inquired about the brake light. The service clerk stated that the technician hadn't even looked at it... the service clerk walked out to my car with me and saw that my light was actually out... he replaced it for me for free, but it meant I had to wait longer for something that I inquired about in the beginning of my visit. It also takes much longer for this location to do any work on my vehicle ... I've waited 3 hours for a scheduled, standard oil change. I really like the philosophy of Firestone as a company, so we are going to give another location here a try. I hope it works out. read more

TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE,and UNACCEPTABLE. Allowing this store to work on my car has been the worst idea that i have had. i went in for an appointment my dad had set up for me to get new tires. I get to the store and asked them how many tires i was expecting to replace, and the manager told me 4. i thought that was very nice of my dad to do that for me. When i got home i come to find out that the original plan was to only put 2 new tires on there. Come to find out i had been swindled and hustled and there was nothing that i could do to rectify the situation, and that was only the half of it. The other half of the problem came when my tire went flat, which happens, its a simple fix that i have done before, but what doesn't normally happen is that my lock keys had been torqued so tight that i BROKE 2 lug nut keys, pure metal might i remind you. something that has never happened to me before until i brought my car to Firestone. i went back into Firestone to see what could be done. After 10 minutes of arguing with the Manager, Jason, he tried to get me to buy a new lug nut key. Which again, unacceptable for me to have to pay more money to fix a problem that they had created in the first place. He let me use the shops key, and gave me some pointers to get my tire off. i went home and tried to get this stuck key off and yet AGAIN i broke ANOTHER METAL KEY LOCK. this makes 3 in 30 minutes, a feat that i have never done or seen before, i have never broken one let alone 3 on 1 stuck nut. i went back into the store and they insisted that I get the car towed up to the shop, which would have been a $200 tow just to get my flat tire off, that they had put on too tight. yet again, UNACCEPTABLE, for me to have to pay out of my own pocket just to rectify a problem that they had created in the first place. so i say again in conclusion, save yourself the hassle and stay away from this store, they will do nothing for you, only swindle you out of your own hard earned money. read more

I went in for a tire repair. Naturally, they insisted I had to have a new tire. I am pretty sure I didn't but I let them sell me one. They told me I also needed a serpentine belt replaced and air filter. I scheduled an appointment for Sunday morning at 9am, which is what time they open. I was the second person there on Sunday. They took my car back immediately but it took almost 2.5 hours to complete a 30 minute job. When you bother to make an appointment, you should be given preference. Especially when you are paying a ridiculous amount of money for a service. I will say that while the front desk persons are very nice, I won't use them again and I don't recommend them to anyone. read more

Came in Thursday morning for a simple leak check. There were 2 customers ahead. I arrived at 9 am, i was there till 10:55 for a simple leak check. When I got up to ask how much longer it would be the attendant at the front was sitting in the lobby next to a female customer "mucking it up". Very unprofessional establishment. These people are CROOKS! They will take everything apart and charge you when something they take apart breaks! Just went to get brakes, the vehicle stopped just fine. Then all of a sudden we had holes in our brake lines, funny there was no brake fluid on my driveway! Then the brake lines they ordered didn't work now we need custom brake lines. Then calipers that they took apart locked up and we have to pay! This is unacceptable. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I will tell anyone and everyone that has ears about my experience. read more

We have used Firestone a few times and have had no problems until 3/31/17. I requested a quote for an alignment for our 2009 Kia Sportage. I received a quote for $500 from Jason Young who told me that I needed camber kits in the front and the back. I got a second opinion from Benson's in Webster and they told me that they were able to adjust one and that camber kits were not needed at all. Total bill from Benson's was $80. Last week we faxed this information to the manager, Keith Gay, but haven't received any response yet. So, I guess they are okay with selling work that doesn't need to be done to unsuspecting customers. Makes me wonder if they've been truthful about the work we've had done in the past. My advice would be to stay away from them or at least get another opinion! read more

I have never had a bad experience for as long as I've been going to this Firestone. I have a daily route that has some pretty bad bumps, so I've had tons of tire trouble since I started driving. Flats, cracked rims, blowouts, etc. But every time I've taken my car down to Firestone, I've met with friendly, polite staff, relatively short waiting times, and very reasonable prices. Many times the bill consists of nothing but the fee to renew the warrantee for the new tire, and that's always a pleasant surprise. I would definitely recommend this Firestone to anyone who's having tire problems. read more

The service is good and never had to take a car back from a repair. They do take a long time even for an oil change so don't wait drop your car off even for an oil change. May take a half day. But the price for my vehicle have quotes for up to 130 just for an oil change they were 68 so it was worth the wait. They don't try and up sell you either like a lot of places do for cabin filters and windshield wipers. Recommended if you aren't in a hurry read more

I am an experienced guy, who would work on my own vehicles if I had time and a lift. These guys have tried every nasty trick in the book to screw me out $$$. I feel sorry for anyone that walks in the door that doesn't know better. Please, go somewhere else for honest service. During state inspection, Firestone cut the lead to my front right headlight...said I needed a new wire harness, oh and of course, the bulb was burnt out. Fixed it myself. Good thing I can strip a wire, solder, and shrink tube a connection, I was furious!!!! They tried to charge me over $100 to fix it! Idiots stipped a bolt on my right rear wheel hub, had to redo the studs on my entire wheel. They installed stud nuts that didnt match the other wheels, now I gotta carry two tire irons around for flat tires! Could not fix the alignment on my Nissan, said I needed a new factory part. I've been here at least 4 times so I think I have a pretty good assessment of the business. Their prices are higher than most. I was surprised to see several bad reviews for this shop since I actually had a good experience. Maybe things have changed? Maybe management had changed? I made an appointment to have a brake inspection since I noticed my brakes starting to slightly squeak. My car has 85,000 miles and I figured it was probably time to replace the brake pads anyway since I had yet to do so. The gentleman I dealt with was pleasant. He said they would check the vehicle in about 10 to 15 mins after they were done with another vehicle and it would take about another 15 mins to complete the brake inspection. True to his word (which is odd in that business) the brake inspection was completed within the time frame he gave me. He told me my brakes and brake pads were fine and there was no reason to change them. He said I still had half a life on the pads left. He also said the squeaking, which was minimal) could be due to the dry weather. So I was definitely impressed that he was honest and didn't just say they needed to be changed just b/c I came in for that service. He did mention I was due for an oil change which was true so I had him do the oil change which was completed in about 10 to 15 minutes. So I had a good experience but I would still evaluate all the reviews here. Getting ripped off by car mechanics just sucks b/c it's so hard to prove and if you don't know much about cars you'll never know how you were ripped off you'll just know you were. We have been going to this Firestone location ever since we moved into the area, almost 7 years ago, and have had boing but great experiences. Sometimes the wait is crazy, sometimes it's not. Keith, the Jasons, and whoever else has been in the front, have always given us great recommendations on when to make our visits. The guys in the back have all been very courteous and helpful in every situation. When my family walks in, they are friendly, have great senses of humor, and do their best to accommodate our needs. read more
