Update- 4/29/24 Someone named Lee who is listed as a business owner of Firestone responded to my review by thanking me for the positive review and stating they hope to see me soon. This is an example of him reading not to comprehend and responding without compassion. The review wasn't very positive and I ended my original review stating that the relationship with Firestone has been soured and I'd probably never return. To him, that's positive and means they'll see me soon! Steer clear, there seems to be much more than car knowledge that they lack here. This will be an honest review of my most recent services with Firestone. The people that work there are awesome and it pains me to have to write this review. I have been a customer of Firestone since 1999, starting at the East Nashville location. And getting to know Chip and Tony pretty well. I started to frequent the Hermitage location in 2022, and the for most part, I've always had a pleasant experience. Craig was a breath of fresh air, and while Justin and I had a rough start, he's been amazing as of late. However, this is about some ongoing issues I had beginning in March of this year. I went in because during an oil change they told me that I needed to have an axle/ cv joint replacement. I returned to have this service completed and told them about a noise I'd been having when I accelerate. Justin said the issue may be the axle and cv joint and since they were replacing the noise should subside. When the repairs were completed, I was still hearing the noise and I returned on 3/10/26, to ensure they had completed the repair properly. Justin had them check and he came back and stated that upon inspection, that the issue was my two front wheel bearings. I went ahead and had one completed that day, and was still hearing the noise when accelerating. I returned that Friday on 3/13/26, and had the other one completed. However, upon completion, the car was still having the same issue. I reached out to Justin on Tuesday, 3/17/26 and explained to him that I was still having an issue with the noise. He told me to bring it back to have them check it, but I've been missing work, back and forth with this car, so I told him I would when I could. Justin was super nice about it and said, he would make it a priority when I was able to come. However, I ended up taking it to another mechanic. I explained to him the issue about the humming noise when accelerating. They checked and said both of my rear wheel bearings required replacing. They replaced both of the rear for $475.00 and I've not had the noise issue since. However, the front does vibrate sometimes, but not like before, so I am wondering if I ever needed the front's replaced and if they were properly replaced since there is still some vibration when accelerating. Overall, I ended up spending, $1,319.92 in a two week span and the issue was never resolved. Again, I'm not blaming Justin, but when I did ask, why was it that I was being told something different each time I came in, he stated that different mechanics do inspections differently. However, you would think all mechanics would check the same things, if that is the chief complaint. My car is now repaired, but this encounter has definitely soured my relationship with Firestone, as I no longer view them as a trusted partner. I think inspections should be the same across the board or as similar as possible to avoid these kinds of things and to find and correct the proper issue the first time. That wasn't my case and after being a loyal customer in both East Nashville and Hermitage for over 29 years, I'm not confident that I'd recommend Firestone to family and friends, or that I will continue to do business with them either. read more

So I didnt need tires, nope, but i had filled a 5 gallon gas tank with a few gallons and just got out of church and decided to just put it in my truck. Problem is, that darn gas spout didnt work properly. I wrestled with it before asking for assistance. The young man there was so kind and helped me put the fuel in my tank so i didnt get any on me. I appreciate the help, especially because it was mothers day. Thank you so much! read more

First arrived in the parking lot with the service writer walking up to the building and just eyeballing me the entire time. Lucky me, he was the same one at the counter. Tell em I have tires that came in from SimpleTire and I get the response "I don't recall getting those, but I'll go look"....maybe just cut out the first half and say "let me check on that for you." Of course the tires are there but I'll have to leave my vehicle for the entire day & evening to MAYBE get them installed. Look, I understand how it works with these online retailers throwing schedules into your already busy work, but no shop I ever worked for would make the customer suffer because of it. We found ways to squeeze a quick tire install (it takes roughly 30 minutes of actual labor) and have a satisfied customer whom also was willing to pay for a 4 wheel alignment at the same time. is the scheduling conflict their fault? NO, it's all done remotely and the location is forced to deal with. Could it have been handled much better? We were on our way home from vacation and stopped on Nashville for a night. Woke up to a flat tire (nail) and had no clue where to go for a new tire. Called around this morning (Sunday 8am) and thankfully two locations had our tire in stock. One was closer than this one so we started there. They said a good 5 hour wait. We called this one back to confirm the tire was still there and headed over. They were very nice from the moment we walked in (our little dog with us too). Said it would be at least 2 hours but they'd do their best. We just left there with our working tire after about an hour! So much faster than expected and so nice to us in our moment of panic! Highly recommend for anyone on Nashville (or anyone driving through with issues)! read more

Had a flat tire in Nashville shortly before heading home to Memphis. Found the Firestone on Old Hickory Blvd open on a Sunday. Wade, the service advisor got us in and out in less than an hour. Sitting on the fence here. Just had my oil changed here two weeks ago. Found a big oil leak in my garage. Brought it back and was told it was the gasket that failed. Read up on causes and not sure why this happened. I've always had very good service at this Firestone. I am alarmed now. I've come here and paid good money on those oil changes. They sent for the part and it took one hr then to8 find out the wrong part was delivered. I am fed up. read more

***Update*** Time for tires again, salesman found a coupon that got my oil changed Free with 4 tires. I was buying those tires anyway and needed the oil changed. Nice ! Original review; I came in early as this location is always busy, kind folks working the sales counter and the mechanics in the shop worked quickly to mount & balance my new treads. read more

However 2 days later one of my tires had an issue and they refused to look at it but responded "just go to the Firestone in donelson to put air in it." made appointment online for tires and bulb replacement. 5/18/24 at 8am. the technician did a great job with the tires. but the service advisor Matthew needs to stay away from customer cars. i sat in the chair watching him thru the glass door, he called himself doing my bulb and broke pieces that were easily replaced and stuffed a wooden wire brush behind the light assembly to keep it from moving. I called him out on it and he lied to my face. all the screws were missing that held the light in and the bulb was never replace. he said in was all in one and could not be change but I had it done there in the past with a great advisor Kyle. I repurchased everything that was missing on the light that was there before he got his hands on my car. even the dust cover for the bulb and other things. I realigned the side with the hood to fix that gap. I will never go back to this store. if he works on anyone's car please check it before you leave just as I did. he is a joke!!! read more

Absolute terrible first impression. I walk in to the building, not to be greeted of course by a balding man wearing glasses who couldn't be bothered to take his eyes off the screen who's answers were short and i felt as if i had inconvenienced him with my presence. I had originally intended to have my tires balanced but I decided to go elsewhere; where people appreciate paying customers. I think a course in customer service could go a long way. read more

Expect to be sold on things you don't need. My gf has been a loyal customer here and every time she comes in for an oil change they suggest service that is not needed. Shocks, belts, plugs, ect. They did not expect me to come in with her this time to look at the suggested work. They couldn't even find a flashlight to show me the "worn out" serpentine belt. The belt had recently been changed- looked great. Buyers beware! Then they put her tires back on without balancing- very dangerous! read more

I was a customer at the Hermitage Firestone location. I dropped my Ford Ranger off at the location Wednesday September 23rd for an oil change and front left wheel bearing replacement. Whenever I returned the next day to pick up my vehicle I noticed a 1.5ft X 4ft oil spill under the truck. I returned inside and notified the gentleman behind the counter and he had a tech pull it back inside to correct the issue. Once I left and made it into the adjoining parking lot I put on the brakes and they were near non-existent. I returned to the service center and explained the situation that the brakes were not working properly and that they were working as they should whenever I dropped off the truck the previous day. I was assured that they would be fixed and waited a couple hours. The techs realized that the issue would not be fixed that day and asked if I would leave the truck overnight. I agreed. The next day I was told that a more experienced tech would be brought in to correct the problem and was again asked if I could leave my truck for another day. On Saturday I received a call asking if I picked up the truck and I told them no. The manager reported the vehicle stolen and filed a claim with Firestone. Fast forward to Tuesday September 29th and I received a call from the claims department stating that Firestone is denying the claim because there was more valuable vehicles in the lot, Only one car was stolen and that she was assured that the truck key was not in the truck. The key was not left in the vehicle but there is not any proof that it was locked. Also the value of the vehicle and the fact that no other vehicle was stolen isn't exactly a check in the pro column. Whenever I asked the claims person either my first or second question she became quite hostile and asked "If you go to Walmart and your truck is stolen would you expect a new one from them?" I stated no but if I paid for work that made the situation worse and they were in possession of my truck and keys for multiple days I would expect them to be liable. Especially when they leave my truck in an unsecured lot without security cameras. Hopefully the call was recorded so that her unprofessionalism can be witnessed by her superiors. If it wasn't for the brakes failing after having repairs I would not be in this situation and without a vehicle. Not once in my multiple trips there did I see a sign saying not responsible for stolen vehicles but I did see a sign stating that if the work is not done correctly then it is free. read more

when I first walked in I was met with Alec who was eating Chinese food in the lobby and he didn't seem to stop to welcome me I asked him if he would be able to service my vehicle he had no sense of urgency to help me I then came later on when another service member was their he stated the car would be fixed "some time tomorrow" I then dropped it off that night, the next day I called to see if the car was finish and they stated it will be done by 7. 630 came and they stated it would be done Saturday. Saturday comes and I got in to be met with both the last tech and Alec who is gathered with his family I use this time to go to the other tech who was servicing me, he proceeds to answer my questions and go get the manager to explain when Alec jumps in to speak out of term not really knowing my concerns he then made me feel uncomfortable to the point where we pay and take our vehicle to another Firestone NEVER WILL I RETURN TO THIS ONE KNOWING THAT ALEC THE MT.JULIET TECH IS THERE. read more

I have received assistance from Alec, Justin, and Kyle and each time I am greeted and helped with thoughtful attentiveness. It is beyond reassuring to feel like I will be treated with courtesy and intelligence no matter who picks up the phone at this service center! read more

Sometimes I think the guy at register can be an idiot. I tell him to tell others not to use alarm, he doesn't tell them. I have to show them how to use it for it shuts car off n alarm goes off when they have no clue. Ticks me off because he cared less. I don't even use alarm. I come here for its convenient, usually does decent job but watch out. They can try to charge so much for minor things like air filter, cabin filter. Talk about robbery. read more
