I brought my vehicle to Firestone for a routine oil change and left with a completely destroyed engine. What should have been one of the most basic services turned into a $10,000 nightmare. Immediately after the incident, the store clearly recognized something had gone wrong. They told me they would take care of it and even paid for a rental car. That alone speaks volumes. You don't cover rentals unless you know there's a problem. Now, after the fact, they have completely changed their story and are denying any responsibility. They've gone from "we'll take care of it" to "we did nothing wrong," leaving me stuck with a massive repair bill for damage that occurred under their care. read more

This is a warning, especially for women car owners who have recently or in the past purchased tires from Firestone, and then purchased the Firestone Road Hazard Protection. FYI.. Apparently, not many of the service advisers working for Firestone or the rest of Firestone employees up to the CEO Gary Garfield.. Seem to understand but more importantly Honor The road hazard protection coverage. For instance if you Happen to have a bolt or a screw or a nail. In your tire, that's protect it with the road hazard plan... When you go to Firestone, at least in my experience, To have the tire replaced, we're repaired.In my case it needed replaced.. Service advisor Andy.. Attempted to collect for mounting and balancing the new tire. I told him this was Covered under the road, hazard protection plan that I had purchased ....he told me I was wrong . While I was waiting I pulled up on my phone , firestones. Policy for the road hazard protection and sure enough. It had confirmed everything I said.I went over and showed him the policy on my phone.. I could tell that he was surprised and not aware of the policy, but yet he is one of the top guys. I also called Firestone's number for concerns & spoke to 2 separate women... Who also seems surprised when I red offline firestones, policy for their road hazard protection, and what is included in the road hazard protection. So to me, the problem is systemic or Firestone. Gary Garfield is not making sure his Service advisers are properly educated and knowledgeable about the products they're selling and then the insurance for the products they are selling so that they can honor them properly for their customers. I think that's fair and honest.. No wonder Gary garfields Firestone in Nashville. The corporate center is Rated D + . To the customer..make sure you know what is covered under you Protection Plan to have it Honored... read more

Wonderful experience. Referred by Autozone down the street- that says something! I was in a tight spot with one flat and 3 low pressure tires. Only sold me what is needed with a recommendation to replace the others after Christmas. That's looking out for the customer! Squeezed me in on a busy Sunday. (Open on Sundays). Clean comfortable waiting room. Friendly informative staff! I'll be back for the other 3! read more

DON'T BUY FIRESTONE CHAMPION FUEL FIGHTERS OR USE THE FIRESTONE IN DOWNINGTOWN PA I bought four firestone champion fuel fighter tires here. Spent $600 and after 6 months the tires needed replaced again. I had my car inspected and was told it wouldn't pass inspection unless I put new tires on it which I did 6 months prior to that. I made an appointment with firestone to have them look at the tires and was told only two need replaced and they were still covered under the warranty but still had to pay $87. Everything was okay until 6 more month had past and the tires needed replaced AGAIN. My father had to go down and SHOW your TECHS at the Downingtown location that the tread on the tires was unraveling/separating but refused to give us more than one tire and charge ANOTHER $52! Absolutely ridiculous and the tires are still covered under warranty and are defective and unsafe to drive read more

Went here instead of the Exton one because of a bad experience, and still ended up having one. I asked specifically for a full synthetic oil change because my car doesn't take a blend. They ended up giving me a blend oil change and tried to charge me $86 for it until I asked to see the transaction receipt and showed that their website said for a blend was $60 and that they also were not instructed to do a blend. These guys are clueless and had to get it redone at Walmart who could actually do it correctly. read more

Update: Went back and explained my problem, service manager was so nice and got his senior tech to do the alignment, he also replaced my front tires for me since the last alignment that was done ruined them within 300 miles. Horrible! Had to take my blazer back for alignment 3 times! They kept making excuses and I had to pay 200$ for unlimited alignments and they still kept saying bs. First it was the brand new bolts were frozen to the brand new bushings, second was their printer was broke, third they said they did it but why the hell is it worse and making clanking noises now!!! Update to review from October, 2019 (which I don't see here, and may have mistakenly posted on another Firestone's review page...) Y'all may recall that on 10/16 I took my car to Firestone for an oil change & two new tires; also, to have those new tires put onto the front wheels & the ones from the front moved to the back. And, of course, it took five hours to do this - wrong! But I'm not bitter... So yesterday (11/27) I noticed the oil light flickered. Since I had an oil change done last month, and have put less than 3000 miles on the car since then, I was concerned. Apparently, I had reason to be - when we checked the oil, the dipstick was completely dry. I did check my driveway (where I park every day) for signs of a leak - nope! Finally, I happen to notice the little cling tag they put on the windshield; it's still the one from another place where I had the oil change three months before this event. My guess is they did absolutely nothing to the car, and then had the cojones to 'generously' not charge me for the oil filter when I complained about the time. So, a word of caution - stay away from Firestone! I will be stopping by there again, but not for service, you can be certain! I suspect they will not be happy to have me in their waiting room... read more

I suggest not coming here. They used to advertise transmission flushes on their site. I made apt, got there and they said about two hrs. I come back, and employee comes out and says 'we don't do transmission flushes.' I wasted two hrs, and they gave me false info. I flipped on the manager and they gave me a free oil change. Also, they once cleaned one of my battery terminals, but not the other. Left it untouched. Don't risk coming here. Many employees I've dealt with are not very bright either. read more

Consistent good service, friendly staff and you never feel like you are being ripped off. I've gone to other mechanics in the area then come back to firestone and found that the suggested repairs were not needed. If there are a lot of repairs needed they take the time to explain why and what needs to be done first and what can wait. I didn't give them five stars because their waiting room isn't the most comfortable (although they do have free codes) and they don't have wifi. read more

Had an oil change today. Went smoothly. However, they recommended a Coolant flush saying that my coolant appeared dirty. I had one done very recently and even had my radiator changed in the past month where I got brand new coolant into the system. I checked my coolant when I got home and it looked good. Was dropping my car off to get some diagnosis on check engine light and I was a little confused as to what they were going to be doing so I called my boyfriend to confirm, my boyfriend asked to talk to the guy since I have no idea about cars and when I told the guy my bf wanted to talk to him he pretty much rolled his eyes at me and gave me a look like you've gotta be kidding me. Never again!!!! I dropped off a tire and wheel that had blown out on Sunday morning.i spoke to the counter person and picked out tires that were (in stock) and left the wheel, knowing that they were busy and had set an appointment to return on Monday afternoon.monday I arrived a half hour early for the appointment for the 2 tires I had picked out and was told that their inventory was off and he had ordered them.no phone call wtf !!!!!!!!no offer of a better tire? Last week(Sunday morning) I brought in my SRX Cadillac for an oil change. When my car was completed I opened the driver side and discovered that the side door was spotted with oil marks and under neath the dashboard there also was a good size oil spot. My rug also had an oil spot. There was no paper floor Matt placed to protect the floor rug. To say the least I was very dissatisfied with my experience there. I have taken my vehicles there in the past and always have been satisfied. The usual crew was not on on this Sunday. This was the first time I've taken my cars in on a Sunday. They used to be a decent repair shop and honest. I can't say that anymore. Since New Management the work is done half-ass, if at all. The young Tech didn't do a fluid check. He then showed me the oil dipstick. I should explain that I went in for an oil change. Asked for a tire rotation as well and the service person told me he couldn't do it today because they were too busy. I only found out that they didn't do the fluid check because my wiper fluid was empty for a while prior to that. No apologies, nothing. I called the manager about it later and he knew about it and said he spoke with this kid who did the oil change. Quite honestly, it look like there was no oil in there when he showed me the dipstick. I also think he switched one of my tires to an older one because after the tech drove my car back to a parking space, I saw him rolling a newer looking Tire to the back and the manager and service guy were both laughing hysterically. But the biggest concern was when my left front hub cap fell off while driving, about 30 minutes after that. This hubcap hasn't fallen off since it was bought over a year ago. Just beware. I count on Firestone when it comes to my tires. Their reputation is outstanding. I brought a tire in to be checked for a flat with a cracked rim. Long story, short; I had to order a new rim. I returned to have the tire mounted, and it was determined that although the tire seemed fine at first look, they advised replacement at no charge since I had hazard insurance. A1 customer service!!! The store manager and staff are courteous and explain repairs in simple terms. They are extremely patient with questions that may seem trivial but important to the customer. Had a visit 5 days ago for a 60,000 mile service check. Was told my front brakes were worn and close to needing to be replaced and there was a great coupon this month. Funny thing I just had the vehicle inspected in the past 30 days at a non-Firestone garage. Brakes were found to be way above any level of failing inspection. I declined service and today took car to a 3rd garage again non-Firestone and was told brakes did not need to be replaced as they were still at the same level as time of inspection. Outstanding service. I went in with a very very small job after walking away disgusted from their competitor Mr. Tire down the street. I was expecting the same inflated price and lack of concern for my request, but instead I was treated as if I just bought 10 sets of tires. And the price was beyond fair.
