Found a coupon for $21.99 Synthetic Oil Change and immediately scheduled to have it done this afternoon. However, when I brought our 2012 Camry in and presented the special offer which I printed from Firestones homepage/Rebates and offers, I was told that the Synthetic they offer is only "Standard" - though it never mentions that in the ad verbage - and that if I chose the synthetic that Firestone offers it could damage the engine and void the Toyota warranty. Then the upsell came for Toyota-approved equivalant 0-20W synthetic for an additonal $14.00, for a total of $37 and change (w/tax). I informed the service desk person that I felt that this was deceptive advertising. In fact, I feel that what happened here was a "Bait & Switch". My bad for not calling and verifying the type oil that our car takes, huh? The two people I dealt with were pleasant and it took about as long as I was advised it would take to get the oil replaced. However, I was expecting them to honor their offer and not give me the line about not the same oil as I need - Even when I called to set up the appointment and specifically stated the necessary information about this vehicle and that I wished to take advantage of this $21.99 special offer! read more

Got my battery replaced by Firestone a few months back. As soon as I got my car back, I noticed the Odometer wasn't displaying properly and I couldn't see the mileage anymore. When bringing my car back to Firestone, I mentioned it several times to the workers but they said nothing they did would have caused that. Ever since getting the battery replaced, my car has been giving me trouble when starting. This week I went to start the car and it wouldn't even turn. Got it taken to an auto shop and they found that the battery current sensor was fried. They said mostly likely that it could have happened when the battery was replaced, due to someone possibly connecting the wrong cable to the negative terminal. As soon as they replaced the sensor, the car started perfectly and the odometer/mileage reappeared. All of these problems stemmed from my battery getting replaced at Firestone, and now I'm set back $323 because of a mistake that Firestone made and failed to fix. In addition, when I asked Firestone to look at fixing the issue with the odometer, they said they wouldn't be able to do anything about it and that I'd have to take it somewhere else. I took it to a regular local body shop and they were quickly able to diagnose and fix the problem. As soon as the mechanic saw that the odometer wasn't displaying, he knew where the problem came from. He told me that if my odometer had failed after being serviced at his shop, he would have been held responsible and would have fixed his mistake at no extra cost. I wish I could have received the same kind of customer service at Firestone. read more

Had my car in for tire work. On pick-up the manager told me my suspension was so bad it would do serious damage to other parts of the car. Took it to my regular mechanic who is a friend of mine and he told me "they lied to you". Yes the car will need suspension work sooner than later but no to the rest. Ironically Firestone has a plaque posted right there in the waiting area spouting something about honesty. Very disappointing. read more

WORST experience ever for an oil change and lube. Oil was over filled by a quart and a half (this will do seal damage and you will smell it later burning) They did not lube any joints at all and I even asked them to inspect those areas of importance like joints that may show wear and tear. All of this took them an hour and a half. The oil change was almost $90 and they didn't even complete the job! Stay away from this place if you love and care for your car. read more

Not a fan! I purchased tires from them about a year ago because they had the best price. Since then, I had taken my car there about two times for regular oil changes and had no issues. I called about a month ago to schedule an appointment for an oil change and was told to bring it in on a Thursday at 1pm. I arrived about ten minutes before the scheduled appointment. Despite the fact that there was staff everywhere, it took a good ten minutes for them to acknowledge me. Apparently, I was interrupting their pizza lunch. Finally, a female staff member took my keys and said it would only take about a half hour. I stressed to her that I made the appointment because I had my young infant with me and had other places to be - needed to be in and out. I guess she's on a different time zone calculation. After having my car sit for over a half hour, still untouched, I asked her to return my keys to me I could not wait any longer. She coughed up the BIGGEST attitude and said the tech was just now going to do the oil change. I again told her to give me back my keys I was leaving. Finally, I went outside and got the keys myself from the tech. The tech asked me what my problem was, I told him that apparently the staff doesn't know how to properly book adequate time for services and doesn't feel the need to inform customers. He told me to get over it and that there were much bigger problems I should be worrying about... I called the store after leaving to complain and what do you know - the idiot female staff member IS the store manager. She told me to bring my car back in and they would do the oil change for free. I told her I would never visit any of their locations again and would especially not be as stupid as to let them touch my car after I complained. read more

The guys working there were nice but the manager was a jerk. I went there to get a diagnostic ($100) for a stalling problem I was having, and when they called me 2 days later, they told me I owed $664 to pay for the problem they took it upon themselves to fix. I am a 22 year old woman, so clearly I was prime to profile as someone easily swindled. I authorized no work apart from the diagnostic. This place will never get my business again. read more

My 1 hour wait for an oil change and tire rotation turned into over 2.5 hours and it seemed they could not even handle a simple tire rotation. read more

Well, after talking to corporate my car door is now fixed. If you have a serious problem with this place don't even bother with the manager, go right over them! They need to work on their customer service. I will say that I am very happy with my new tires (which is what I went in there for in the first place) despite the door problem. As for customer service when I went in to see if my car was finished no one came out to greet me... I sat there for an hour AFTER they closed before anyone said a word to me... A woman even walked out and into the store area got changed, didn't ask how I was doing or if I needed help she just left the shop. Guess you can't win em all. I'm just happy my car is fixed. read more

Hi I give Firestone Complete Auto Care five huge stars for their honesty and customer service. Imagine the fear I felt when my 17 year old daughter called me, in CT, from MA, on Super Bowl afternoon, to tell me that "something is dragging under my car." She had a friend with her visiting her sister at Endicott College for the day. A major storm was going to hit and almost every auto repair shop was closed at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. Lucky for me I found Firestone Complete Auto Care. I called and I spoke to Manny, I think, who promised to take a look and do everything possible to get her on the road so she could get back to CT before the storm hit. AAA towed her car to the shop. I have to admit I feared that my 17 year old daughter might not get the same treatment as if my husband had driven a car to their business. NOT THE CASE. The manager, Sean, called me to explain what he saw and told me that Sunday afternoon before the Super Bowl was a difficult time to find the necessary parts to properly fix her car, but told me, " I will do everything I would want someone to do for my daughter if she is ever in this situation." He made it safe and she arrived home a few hours later! I will whole heartedly recommend your shop to other Endicott parents whose kids need auto repairs away from home!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Service was fast and just what I needed. Will be using you to service my daughters car for the next 3 years while she is in college near by! read more

07/15/2014 My husband took my car to Firestone to see if they could patch one of my tires that had a slow leak. They said they were extremely busy and that he would have to leave the car overnight. Really?! He called me while at another shop and I suggested calling Firestone myself. He has always used Firestone in California and I've always gone to the Danvers location so I preferred getting my work done here. I didn't get the name of the gentleman I spoke to (already got chewed out about this by my husband) but he did say they were very busy, but we would have to leave the car for a few hours NOT overnight. I said thanks anyways but my husband had to make his flight later that afternoon and I didn't want to cut it close. He put me on hold for a minute and came back and said they were fully staffed and to come by at 10 (it was 9:30 at the time) and he would fit us in. My husband drove all the way back to Firestone to have the manager tell him they were booked for the day. When my husband explained I had called and spoke to someone and he drove all the way back there, the manager squeezed him in. Not the best experience, yes, but there really aren't many quality shops in the area and if they are, they will try to rob you blind. - 1 STAR for the lack of communication not to mention the extra aggravation but at the end of the day they got the job done and they have a good track record with us. read more

Went in today to have a tire repaired that was covered under my Road Hazard policy that I bought with my tire purchase a couple years ago. The staff was super professional and timely. They did suggest some other work I may need soon but were cool when I said that my regular mechanic would take care of it. Good guys, highly recommend! read more

Horrible. Stay away. Far away. Ordered 4 tires online shipped to this garage for Install. Called garage they had the tires delivered. Dropped off car next day for install. Got phone call 3 hours later saying they cant find the tires. Go back over to pick up car as fed ex was investigating where my tires were delivered. Go inside look through the glass 20 feet away in plain view were yup you guessed it my 4 tires. Had them install them anyway. Huge mistake. Picked up car drove home took a look white "grease" all over tires and rims look inside to check stick on wheel weights. (Aluminum rims) Left old weights on rims and added new ones on dirty rim didnt bother even cleaning area where new weights were put on. How long do you think those weights stayed on the rim? Not long. My first job was mounting tires and NEVER in a million years would this be acceptable service. Its a simple straightforward easy job. Also they said they checked the alignment as i requested and said it was ok. I just brought it in to my mechanic who had to rebalance all 4 wheels and yes the alignment was never looked at by firestone it was way out of spec. Luckily my mechanic did me a favor and fixed it all for $20. He was blown away by the poor job firestone did as i was. I will never go there again nor recommend this garage to anyone. First and last experience with this garage.................update... Was contacted through e mail by customer care and was told i would be contacted within 24-48 hours.... Never happened that was on dec 13th its now the 18th. Don't bother. Poor work, broken promises. read more

This facility and the unsavory people in tried to scam me (actually, I have no doubt that they've scammed me out of hundreds of dollars). I went in for an oil change and was told I needed two new air filters (at $30 each) and that I had a nail in my rear driver side tire. They even showed me the nail, sprayed with something and seemingly embedded. I asked if it could be patched and Alain said "No." (it was right in the center, not near the edge). He went on the say he could order a new tire and have it later in the day, if I wanted to come back. I said no but made an appointment for the following week since there was no air missing nor had my dashboard light gone on. I paid the $125 and left. I watched the tire for a couple of a days and then stopped by a local garage to have them repair the nail (since everyone told me it COULD be repaired). Well, I watched him remove the tire and he was gone for several minutes. He came back and said there was no nail nor even a mark on the tire. He checked ALL the tires to be sure. They were all in excellent condition. Needless to say, I was pretty unhappy by the deception and called the store. Alain wouldn't admit to any wrong doing nor could he explain the miraculous recovery of my tire. After a big fuss, I asked for my money back because I now knew I did not need two new air filters- I had JUST bought this car about 60 days ago! I went into the store and Alain couldn't even LOOK at me, never mind give me my refund. He had one of his underlings handle me. I write this review so nobody else gets scammed (although Im sure everyone that steps through that door has been scammed). This review has one star because I am forced to give it a star but it does not deserve it. I wrote emails to both Gary Garfield (Pres/CEO) and Gordon Knapp (COO) over a week ago and neither man has responded. Not surprising. read more

They were very fast and friendly. Had a slow leak in my tire, they said 45 mins to fix and they were done in 20 mins

I cant say enough good things about this place I had 4 new tires installed........their price was the best around, the whole process took 1 1/2 hours AND the sales guy alerted me to a $60 rebate I was entitled to so now Im getting $60 back and love every minute of it. I made an appointment for 7:00 am and they went to work on my car right away I highly recommend them. read more

Long story - short version. Visiting town with a rental car. Warning message for low front right tire. Went to two stations and added air (no gauges available), but warning message still appeared. Stopped in on a rainy Saturday and explained my minor problem. Allen promptly put on his jacket to come out and check my car on a cold, rainy afternoon. He quickly realized the warning message was WRONG and that I had overfilled a tire while another was low. He corrected the problem, free of charge, and sent me on my way. THAT'S SERVICE!! Thank you, Allen! read more

I have never written an online review before, but I felt the need to combat some of the bad press this Firestone service center has received, since the bad reviews almost kept me from going here. Yes, the initial work I had done (two tires and an oil change) did take a lot longer than they'd estimated (2 1/2 hours instead of the 1 hour they'd estimated, which definitely ruined my morning), but that's about the only bad thing I can say about this place. And to be fair, I went on a Saturday morning, likely the busiest time. But every staff member was incredibly nice and helpful, and more than one of them went out of their way to finish the job quickly when I said that I wad going to be late for a family event. Great price on tires, great customer-friendly attitude by all staff. When I went back again a week later for two more tires (this time on a Sunday morning), I was in-and-out in 45 minutes and was even able to get to church on time! The job may take a bit longer than they estimate, but I'd definitely recommend this shop. Nice people, fair prices, helpful attitude. read more

I got my tires here so when I had a leak I figured I should bring my tires back to be fixed. They told me that they fixed my tire and I had a slow leak in it fine within three days later I went out to my car to find it almost on my rim. I called them to tell them my frustration with the situation and they weren't very compassionate about the matter. The man on the phone basically tried to tell me that it had to be a new problem never apologized never expressed empathy for my situation. So I brought my car back to be fixed no one ever apologized to me for the inconvenience. They all acted like I owe them something because they re-fixed it, it should've been fixed the first time I paid for it. I wouldn't recommend them and I will not be going back. After you spend a lot of money on tires you should be met with great customer service. Unfortunately that is not the case here. I will be going back to town fair tire. read more
