Put oil in the cars went for an oil change At this location and within 10 minutes, they said they were finished. It was the quickest oil change I've ever had. As I was driving away, I got a check oil light in my car. My car is very electronic so I thought maybe the oil change triggered Something! I believe they did not put oil in my car. Maybe a quarter two but I was charged of course for a full synthetic oil change. I have been driving with the check oil light on until I hit the desired miles to get a new oil change. I just took my car to the Volkswagen dealership --- and I have no oil in my car. My engine was about to sieze. There was no leak and yes, I know I was not smart to get this checked sooner, but I trusted that they had put oil in my car!!!! There is no way they know what they're doing at this location! I'm actually never going to go to a Jiffy Lube again !!! I came Extremely close to needing to buy a new engine for my car. By the way, I've never had one issue with my car. It's on the newer side and no problems with burning oil, leakage, etc.. Update to the previous review My car is now burning oil. I can't make it to the next oil change without exhaust and getting the Chuck oil light coming on. I was told by my mechanic that Jiffy Lube not putting oil in and be driving it like that damaged my engine and will burn oil for now on!!!! Update sept 2026 My car is burning oil still I'm having to get 2 quarts put in right now because I'm not gonna make it to my next oil change the man who owns this gas station. I've been coming here for 30 years. By the way very trusted garage. Just told me he's had six people in the last few years come to him and say the same thing that she did not put oil in their car! Beyond being effective and honest in the normal work they perform, they even helped me figure out an issue I was having (due to another Jiffy Lube location screwing me over) by checking out my vehicle, explaining the situation, and neatly listing my options and their advice... I have serious concerns over the safety of this jiffy lube location after my vehicle was damaged as a result of their bad service. Came in for a full synthetic oil change which was $98 with the coupon. (much cheaper elsewhere) Heard a rattling sound as I was driving away which got more violent as I drove further. Pulled over in the next safe parking lot to see the skid plate dangling and damaged. It was damaged from the scraping against the road and shear twisting from the contact bolt. Called it in to inform them, which they said they noticed the skid plate dangling but didn't actively call me to tell me, despite them having my number. They told me if I can get that last bolt off, I can bring it back and they will take care of everything. I didn't have my tool box with me so it took some time to find a tiny multitool in the truck, then did the removal by climbing under the truck in an open parking lot while it was raining, scuffing up my coat and getting all dirty. I spent an hour getting it off, driving all the way back in traffic, then waiting in for them to pull it in and reattach it, just to learn they weren't going to issue any refund or compensation. I was told "nothing was damaged" therefore "no refunds", despite the visible damage disrupted schedule on my end. I was willing to sort this out locally but there was no resolve despite the wasted afternoon. They refused to issue any refund or compensation for the damage, they just made me wait another hour to have them reattach it, a job I could have easily done myself. I would have continued my errands and reattached the skid plate later myself if I knew this was the follow up I was going to receive. I also checked the oil levels after they finished and it was overfilled. I will need to replace the skid plate and the oil after this visit. This ordeal was a colossal waste of time and money. read more

We had Jiffy Lube do our tire change over. Despite balancing it at time of the change, the tires were out of balance and the Jeep was shaking like mad. It took 3 drop ins before they had an open bay that could lift the Jeep and enough techs on duty (to deal with all their drop ins) to rebalance the tires but they got it done. No extra charge. Each of the mechanics treated me with respect and kept me posted as to the progress. Despite the little glitch, I will use Jiffy Lube again. Kudos to the management who trained their mechanics in customer service. read more

I went here and requested that my transmission fluid be cycled. I left and my car began to stall and the gears began to slip. I checked the transmission fluid and it was so low that I'm positive they didn't do the service I requested. I brought it to a real mechanic after and they confirmed. In addition, had they actually looked under my hood they may have noticed that the transfer case was in dangerous condition and that I should have more serious repairs done to it. The real mechanic that the car is at now said he wasn't even able to replace the fluid until the case is replaced. (Further confirmation that they didn't even look at the fluid). I've always been told never to trust jiffy lube but now I know. I will not be getting services here again. read more

Been coming here for 5 years now & never had a bad experience until today. Went for an oil change and waited in line for service, but no one even came to acknowledge me. I was the only car there waiting. They were busy with other customers, but every time I've been there, an employee will come up to my window and assist me and then provide an estimated wait time so I can make my choice to either wait or come back another day. Nothing happened for half an hour so i just left, not even sure why i waited that long without being acknowledged in the first place. The employees just looked at me and continued with what they were doing. Sometimes one bad experience is al it takes, so I won't be going back there. Sucks i'll have to find a new place for oil changes cause i'm normally in & out within 20 minutes. It is what it is! read more

Brought my 2014 Nissan Maxima with only 77,000 miles into Jiffy Lube, 470 Rantoul Street Beverly for a filter and oil change. Problem was they emptied the crankcase, but forgot to refill the engine with new oil ! After the car was serviced I drove about a mile down the road, when the engine naturally seized up and shut down. Turns out the engine block cracked and the motor was destroyed! The Manager of the shop said don't worry, "we'll take care of everything and we will replace the engine with a "Certified Used Engine of similar mileage and will provide a Guarantee of their service". Jiffy Lube did pay for the towing and provided a rental for 10 days, while they replaced the engine. Fast forward 10 days, when I go pick up my car and the Manager says you're all set, but does not provide me with any paper work! When I ask for an accounting of the paper work...ie Engine Certification and Service Guaranty like they promised he said don't worry about it, just give us a call if something isn't right! Great if he's still working there next week, right? Anyway, I get in my car to leave and the check engine lights are Glaring at me in high visible orange "CHECK ENGINE IMMEDIATELY"! When I bring this to the attention of the Manager he tells me it's probably just a censor and don't worry about it!!! I asked for his bosses contact info, which would not provide, so I ask that his boss call me, but I doubt that will ever happen. Then as I'm driving home I hear clickity-clacking coming from the engine compartment. I pull over and open the hood to find it was just the battery cable cover, which they neglected to secure in place after working on the engine it was hitting the fan blades and bouncing around the motor compartment. The check engine lights are still on, I haven't received any paper work or contact from the Manager boss, but the Manager says "Don't worry about it, we'll handle everything"....LOL read more

I went to get an oil change at the Beverly Ma location on Rantoul St. The woman named Gina who was working and performed my oil change was extremely rude. She complained about how busy it was, and gave me attitude when I politely requested the cheaper oil option rather than a more expensive oil option. I then realized as soon as I got into my car to leave, that my prescription glasses had been stolen out of the front console of my car. I took them off before getting out to hand her my keys, and when I went to put them back on after driving away, they were gone. I am extremely disgusted by the poor service, but most importantly by the fact that this woman stole from me. I will be contacting the corporate office to report the theft officially. After calling to speak to a manager directly, the same woman answered the phone (Gina), claiming to be a manager. She did not offer any type of compensation, gave a half a**ed apology, and did not even offer to look into the situation because she knew what she had done. I will never go back to another Jiffy Lube and I suggest you find a different location than this one if you chose to continue using them for maintenance. read more

Went to this place a while ago to get my oil changed in my 2010 VW Passat. I got the full synthetic service, wherein they were supposed to change the oil, filter, and vacuum the front/back seats. My oil/filter was changed, but the lovely people at Jiffy Lube decided that vacuuming ONLY the driver's footwell was good enough for them (keep in mind, the full synthetic service was $100 for me). Midway through the oil change, they popped my air filter out to show me that it needed to be changed. I politely declined and thought nothing of it. A couple weeks later when I decided to change the air filter myself, I found that the air box was not tightened down!! This means that there was harmful particles potentially entering my engine and causing damage for TWO WEEKS. TL;DR: Jiffy Lube decided not to give me everything advertised in the full synthetic service, though the service is pretty pricey in my opinion. On top of this, they potentially caused damage to my car by not tightening down the air box. Do it yourself, folks. read more

This review is 100% based on their prices. I've had my car 2 years and have had oil changes from many different places and have never been charged more than $40. I was charged $65 here (nothing else but the oil change)!! A few dollars over the average would have been ok but I will never return here again for another oil change. Only reason they get three stars is because they know how to change oil and switch headlights out. What they DONT tell you, or even address, is what they do with YOUR lenses after they remove for substitution. I had no idea I would have to ask that they don't keep my property. This happened about a year and a half ago, and I'm still waiting for the district manager that was on vacation to get back to me. No exaggeration, I spoke with a rep on the phone because I was incredulous that my lights were gone. And he told me he wanted to make an effort to make it right, and he'd be back to me. Haven't changed my address, phone number job or email in over 5 years. This has irked me for quite some time, and I finally decided he/she is on a permanent vacation, or never calling me? Don't go here unless you enjoy double checking the work you've paid for. I brought my car in for an oil change and they did the typical dog and pony show regarding my air filter, wiper blades, radiator fluid, etc, which I didn't even ask for, however they completely neglected to properly put my air intake back together. The result being the air filter chamber being unsealed and all the hose clamps holding the duct that feeds my engine being left undone. Thanks for allowing my car to suck in grim and dirt for the last 5000 miles, I'm sure that's great for the throttle body and engine longevity. read more

I had a great experience here bringing my car in for an oil-change yesterday. I think there is a new manager here and new crew. They noticed one of my headlights was out and fixed that. They noticed a small leak on a power steering hose and fixed that too. They also fixed a ding in my windshield and called my insurance company to deal with that - so it didn't cost me anything. I think the price/value is very good. And I got a free car wash. I live in Gloucester but will be driving to Jiffy Lube in Beverly on Rantoul Street for my oil changes, it's worth the drive. read more

Do not get more than an oil change here. I made the mistake of getting my brakes done and they were worse after. I went back several times and they never fixed the problem, so I had to go to a real mechanic. I thought I was just saving some time and a little money. Not worth it. Jiffy lube should just stick to the basics since they obviously don't know how to do anything else. I would recommend them for oil changes though - fast and polite and they do a good job. read more

I was stolen from! I had some cash, $500, LOCKED away in my glove box. When they took my car in to change the oil they TOOK OFF the glove box to get at the engine filter (which I didnt want replaced anyways). I filed a police report, but they said without hard evidence there is nothing they can do. I will be contacting corporate and bringing a small claims suit to court against jiffy lube. The also didnt even put my glovebox back on properly and now it rattles all the time when i drive. Their "exterior window cleaning" left a gross white film all over my car and I needed to wash the entire car after. DO NOT USE! read more

I have taken my vehicles here in the past and just erected another vehicle that was sitting for some time. I took it into Jiffy Lube and spoke with I believe it was the manager.... David.. I explained that the vehicle had been sitting and it needed some TLC and a look over.... after a brief few moments they had my car up on the lift and it was on! Needless to say the car had to stay for the day as it needed rear brakes, all the fluids and filters changed.. and this was no hoax or sales pitch for I went behind and saw for myself the work needed. Well later that day I went to get the car.... it ran like new..... the next day I took it in for an inspection sticker and the garage that did the sticker said that the car was like new!!! Went to get my oil changed at Jiffy Lube, they managed to sever all the bolts that hold my skid plate in place, and then claim they didn't do it and weren't responsible. I left after paying $60 for the oil change and my skid plate in the back seat. I understand that things happen, but the way they basically said it's your problem not ours was disappointing. It was only after I pushed for the name of a person to talk with about the issue that they started to try and make things right. The employees themselves were polite, but there is a lack of accountability for their work. read more

Called last minute to have my Jeep looked at because it was leaking from underneath, Greg the new manager said to bring it in and they would look at it, no appointment needed! They checked it out, and everything was ok. Since, I was there I asked them to do an oil change and they said no problem and put my new wipers on for me! Outstanding customer service!
